AFC Urgent Care Denver Highlands

Reserved a spot online was able to even register and provide all my health insurance documents online. Walked in, sat for maybe 10 minutes and was able to go back and get seen. Citlaly was so nice from the moment she greeted me. Anytime you go to the urgent care you’re not in the best mood and she treated me without any judgment or rudeness which is common with other places. She also was very respectful and kind. The doctor was also very nice informative. I was in and out in less than an hour. Definitely would recommend this urgent care!

The staff here really made the experience exceptional! Everyone was REALLY nice from front desk to check out.While needing to go to urgent care isn’t ideal, PA Jenna took such good care of me and my case. She was empathetic and professional. She explained everything and made me feel as comfortable as possible through a procedure.This was my first time ever to an urgent care and I didn’t know how to choose one. I am SO GLAD this is the place I went! If I ever need to, I will definitely be back to this location.

Everyone on the Citlayly team was incredibly kind and made me feel right at ease after being in so much pain for days. The process was easy, I was able to be seen quickly, and I’m very thankful for how nice the team was who took care of me. I would recommend this location to anyone in the area who needs help quickly. AFC is such a great urgent care if you’re in the highlands area. Each time I’ve visited I have been able to be treated quickly and the staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. Check in is super easy. I went in today and was in and out within 40 minutes, and the staff were all so kind - Hugo and Jasmine were my medical assistants and were awesome! The person working the front desk and my doctor were also great! I will continue to visit AFC when I am in need of urgent care.

I have been to this urgent care twice now, and both times I was treated with so much kindness and empathy. The staff works fast and well, and you feel welcomed from the start! Hugo assisted me this last time, and he was not only caring but addressed my needs promptly. I will forever and always choose this urgent care for any and all future (pressing) visits!

We were in town for my daughter’s softball tournament. Needed to have a possible rib fracture checked out. Excellent, excellent, excellent service! Very kind staff. Informative and quick! My daughter had an exam, x-ray, and radiology report done and we were out of the clinic in 40 minutes. Kimberly was great! Mike was fantastic! Would highly recommend!

I’ve been to urgent care a bunch of times but have never been treated with the high level care and respect that was provided here by Cali and Mosby. They were genuine, respectful, gentle, and made me feel comfortable being there. They knew what they were doing and made sure that I remained in the loop as well. They also made me laugh, which helped me relax and trust the care being provided to me. This was a great experience thanks to the two of them.

Flawless experience!I made an appointment online a few minutes ahead and after arriving I saw a nurse almost immediately. Jasmine A and Jasmine K were so helpful, cheerful, and kind, as was Dr. Shu. I was back in my car within 20 minutes!

I visited AFC Urgent Care on Irving str today and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The wait time was incredibly short, which was a huge relief when I wasnt feeling my best. The online scheduling portal is incredibly easy to use. The staff were all extremely polite, Jasmine, Kimberly and Stewart , who went above and beyond .The entire clinic was spotless, which really put me at ease. Everyone was professional and friendly, making the entire visit smooth and stress-free. . This is, without a doubt, the best urgent care Ive ever been to. Highly recommend!

This review is long overdue. When I think about my visit and the severe pain I was in, I was so grateful to the staff for seeing me quickly, listening and providing me with the care I needed after assessing my needs. Mike was my MA and I still think about his kindness over two years later. The Highlands has a great team.

I can’t speak highly enough of this AFC Urgent Care. The convenience of scheduling online makes check-in and wait times a breeze. The staff is incredibly kind and professional, and does everything they can to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Desiree and Jasmine were wonderful! I highly recommend this urgent care.

It’s never fun going to urgent care, but my recent experience here was as painless as you could hope for. Jasmine (at the front desk) explained the costs clearly and was extremely kind. Mike (RN?) did my vitals and tests faster than I could have imagined. He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - making me feel fully heard and taken care of. I hopefully won’t have another urgent care visit anytime soon, but if I do, I will certainly return to AFC Highlands.

I called 15 minutes before the urgent care closed and Jasmine assured me that they could see me and got me all booked and checked in before I arrived. Hardly any wait before Mike brought me back. He was very kind, super knowledgeable, and obviously cared about his patients even at the very end of his shift on a random Wednesday. Doctor came in quickly and put my mind at ease, treated my issue quickly right in the office, and sent in prescriptions to the pharmacy. I was in an out within about 45 minutes. Great experience 5/5

I only have positive things to say about this urgent care!It had very short wait time: I was seen within 15 -20 minutes of arrival. Very friendly and welcoming staff: Jasmine the receptionist was super helpful and awesome to talk to. Mike clearly is a rockstar nurse! He was super kind and caring. Sarah, PA, took the time to listen to all of my concerns and calm my anxiety she clearly communicated everything to me and was super nice and reassuring, I felt calm after talking to her. Inside the building, everything was spotless and well-maintained.For anyone needing quick medical attention, I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care Denver Highlands.

A family member was having issues and this facility accepted our Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance from Texas. There was no wait for us - I believe they triaged us to the front of the line based on symptoms. The staff were all very kind and Mari and Derek had wonderful bedside manner. They were able to provide treatment to tide us over until we could be seen the following week by other specialists in a non-urgent care setting.

Hugo is a great Doctor, he’s very friendly and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel anything while he was removing the stitches. Thank you so much for the great care!!

It was unfortunate that I had broken my arm & had to come in, but I was so lucky to be treated by the friendliest & funniest staff making this experience incredibly joyful. The sweetest front desk girl, along with Kimberly & Mike were all such great help. They were incredibly informative, answering all of my questions, explaining my X-rays, and my next steps. We’re new to the neighborhood, so this will be our go to for Urgent Cares! Thanks guys!!

My son was seen here June 3rd on his Birthday I was so happy with the care he received the MA HUGO was just the nicest and so caring. Dr Michael Mcgurren was so amazing and help make my sons birthday a lot better even tho he wasn’t feeling good. 10/10 I would recommend this clinic.

I had the absolute best healthcare experience with Dr. Mike, his assistant Mike, and front desk staff member Kim. From the moment I arrived, they were caring, knowledgeable, and personable. Also made me laugh a couple of times which took away from the pain I was feeling. As soon as I got there they got me in right away and worked with urgency to ensure I received the treatment I needed.Their attention to detail and genuine concern for my well-being made me feel truly cared for. If every healthcare clinic operated with the same level of compassion and professionalism as Dr. Mike and his team, wed all be feeling better in no time—and with a happy heart! I cant express how much I appreciated their treatment and care today. I highly recommend this facility and the incredible team of Dr. Mike, Mike, and Kim.

I stopped by early Friday afternoon and was immediately greeted by a kind staff member at the front desk. The registration process was hassle-free, and the waiting area was nice and clean. The assistant who saw me, Alexis, was very friendly and thorough with the tests and examinations performed. I would like to thank all of the staff members at AFC Highlands for making my first visit a pleasant one!

Excellent experience! The Doctor, Brad explained my diagnosis very thoroughly and patiently answered my question. I also appreciate that he covered all the bases and prescribed antibiotics in case the first medicine didn’t work (it worked!) so that I would not have to go back for another visit. My assistant Mike was also very friendly and helpful.

I have had a few unexpected Urgent care visits here at this particular American Family Care Urgent Center 3800 Irving Street in Denver 80211 Just as recent as 9/30 /2024 . I Have to give them 5 stars from the time I walked in to the time of check out . They were very prompt. The Check-in young lady very welcoming and answered with a smile and very personable. The check in process and wait to be called back was not long at all. As I was called back the assistant was welcoming with a caring gesture. The assistant in the room , Citlaly asked me my questions and concerns her answers were very caring responses and she was very sweet , kind and showed compassion. She was very prompt with the tests she performed she explained what she was going to do before hand and after. Great job Citlaly!! 👏😊 And I cant say ENOUGH about MD.Michael M. I have to say he truly stands behind his MD. title ! He was Compassionate, Patient ,Caring and truly knew what was wrong he explained everything in detail and taking genuine time as to what his plan for me was going to be!! And I didnt feel like I was in and out and rushed with no answers regarding my health visit. I went in feeling horrible after 4 days of being ill. The plan and prescriptions he prescribed have me feeling 75% better in just 10 hrs. of Seeing him! His Expertise is Outstanding! He Deserves a 10 Star in my Book!!! The Best Urgent Care Facility MD. I came down with an illness while visiting family in Denver this past week, so I was forced to visit AFC Urgent Care. I was blown away by their amazing customer service and ability to make me feel cared for in every way. Their entire staff is top notch from the front desk workers to the doctors and medical assistants.I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs urgent medical assistance and feel so grateful that I visited this location.

I brought my daughter in for an ear infection. We were in and out within 45 minutes and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Mari was awesome and took her temperature and made her feel comfortable. We would definitely visit this location again.

Mike and Jasmine, and the entire team at AFC, were fantastic. I had almost no wait and everyone was extremely friendly. They diagnosed my issue and got me on my way very fast. I will definitely return whenever I need their services.

Been coming to this clinic for work comp follow ups!! I’ve always had Mike and Mary! Both are phenomenal! Mike is hilarious makes feel so comfortable. Mary is so sweet and kind! Both are thorough and efficient! Definitely recommend this location!

Mike is the best! Was so patient and took his time trying out multiple boots and braces for my sprained ankle until we found the best fit. Showed up for my appointment, got X-rays, and got fitted for a brace and walked out less than an hour later.

I had such empathetic and thorough care when I needed to come in for unexpected stitches. Kim & Jasmine were both incredibly sweet and made me feel like I was in good hands, and the x ray technician (I think his name was Ken?) also had very good bedside manner, and I am glad I was able to get seen at this location. this location has a wonderful staff and I felt like I was treated the best at an urgent care I’ve ever experienced.

Best urgent care experience. Mike was personable, professional and explained everything about the xrays that were taken. Bertha was extremely thorough, competent, and a pleasure to work with. Very clean facility. And so easy to schedule appt and be seen quickly.

I love this place! I’ve been here quite a few times for many injuries and everytime i come in i always have a great experience! Today I went in for a blister burn and Mike helped to walk me through next steps and reassure me that with the right care taken it would heal in due time! Then Sara came in with her expertise and gave me specific instructions to help heal my wound! Mike and Sara were awesome, love this place and the people.

I made an appointment and was able to get in within a few hours. Once I was there I didn’t have to wait very long. Jasmine was friendly. Mike was the one that helped me once back in the exam room. He made me feel so comfortable and very nice. I had a great experience.

My name is Lacey, posting under my husbands account however Michael was super helpful with getting me what I needed. I have been having issues getting in with my PCP and I I have been having a lot of shoulder pain. Mikey was able to get me an appointment relatively fast and over the phone. This is super helpful itself being I have two young kids. I was able to get the help and referrals I needed to start getting my shoulder looked at. I couldn’t be more thankful for him right now.

Ive been here a couple times a year for different things, and Ive never had less than 5 star experience. Every person is attentive, knowledgeable, and just genuinely sincere.Received some awesome care yesterday with a couple stitches and rash after a bike fall, and Cali and John couldnt have made it easier.Saying I want to go back feels weird... But I wont hesitate to go back to the Highlands Urgent Care. 10/10

Mike and Jenna were amazing. I have been to many urgent cares but this was the best experience by far. I brought my 3.5 year old and they had a special exam room for kids that helped put her at ease. They were so nice, knowledgeable, and efficient without rushing us.

AFC Urgent Care is great. I made a last-minute appointment late on a Sunday, shortly before they closed. I was signed in, cared for, and out within 30 minutes -- super efficient. Mike and his team explained everything clearly and gave comprehensive follow-up documentation. Thanks for the quick and helpful care!

Friendly and efficient, it was clean and pretty quiet when i got there.Though it got busier the interaction with the receptionist was fun.My technician Mike was easy to work with.Doctor was clear and fast with advice no frilly add ons.

I ran into a little trouble at the front desk trying to get signed up but the lady behind the counter was super patient and helpful to me. And then once I got taken back there everyone who helped me was very kind and honestly pretty funny too. They all made me feel super comfortable. My doctor was Hollie I believe and I totally recommend her. Definitely will be coming back here when I need to again haha

Had a great experience here when I sprained my ankle. Cali was very nice & Mike was awesome! Explained everything to me during my x rays and showed me how to use the ankle wrap + brace. Super detailed and kind!

Came in dehydrated and feeling really weak. After getting inside, the team was able to quickly assess and get all appropriate test done. Thanks to Hugo and the others for getting those IV fluids fast and painless

I was very happy with the level of care at AFC urgent care Denver Highlands. We were in town visiting friends and my son got injured. Kevin and the rest of the team were fast and thorough. Jasmine made check-in a breeze and was super friendly, and Kimberly helped make the best out of an unfortunate medical situation with a thorough and compassionate pre-visit. I can’t remember his name, but the doctor I saw was the best I’ve seen in recent memory. He treated me as a person and not just a symptom, and I couldn’t have been more grateful. I obviously don’t want to have a reason to go back, but if I ever do, I’d hope he’s my doctor again.

First time needing to use this urgent care. My past experiences with other urgent cares has not been great with standoffish employees and little sense of urgency. Here, all three employees I dealt with were most kind and helpful, perhaps most especially Cali. I didn’t have a particularly gruesome or debilitating issue, but I received efficient and professional care.

Had to go to urgent care and the team at this location took care of me quickly and so professionally. The two MAs that assisted me, Cali and Jasmine were very attentive and were helpful. If I need anything else from urgent care, this would be the location I go to!

Best urgent care I have ever been to! Doctors, MAs, and all of the staff were so kind and a stark difference to other urgent cares I have been to. Their check in process was amazing and I even received a referral for an ENT which is rare for an urgent care to go that extra step. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome. Went in with my girlfriend for something and they were super nice, helpful, and informative. In and out within an hour. Mike and Callie in particular were so nice. I’ll definitely be going there when my next malady occurs

I was having an asthma exacerbation and the staff at AFC helped me feel better very quickly!! All 3 staff I worked with (Cali, Mike, and Kevin) were very friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable!! I definitely recommend this place and will come back with any non urgent medical issues!! Thank you soo much!!

Don’t plan on discussing treatment or talking to the provider once labs have been returned. Only a medical assistant will call, but their knowledge is limited. For every question you ask they have to ask the provider. It’d be so much more helpful if the provider would just follow-up on positive cases, run though the game plan and go over any questions.I went down to Mexico and had stomach issues. Provider was friendly and knowledgeable. He ordered the tests needed which came back quickly but weren’t totally conclusive. The lab recommended doing another test to confirm the type parasite that was contracted. I missed the call from the medical assistant on a Friday morning. I called back an hour later, but nobody answered the phone with either the front desk or labs prompt. I left a voicemail, but didn’t receive a follow-up until Monday. I tried asking some questions but they had to go ask the provider. Very frustrating that the provider doesn’t call back on positive cases.Then I reviewed the notes from the test more thoroughly and found out that the test wasn’t even conclusive with treatments varying depending on the specific species. That would require another test but the labs only hold onto samples for 3 days. I left another voicemail but never received a call back. So at this point it’s ether take an aggressive anaerobic antibiotic that might not even solve the problem or make another appointment just to go through the same process again.I am giving two stars instead of one as the provider was really good. I just wish I could get ahold of them.

Clinic was clean and assistants Jasmine A and Jasmine K listened to my concerns and Jenna K prescribed me accordingly. I feel equipped appropriately with the right meds to get better soon :)

Made an appointment online just 40 minutes in advance and finished registration online. When I got there, they had all my info and I was in a treatment room about 6 minutes later. Left with a scrip about 15 minutes after that. Great experience.

I have been to this urgent care a few times and have always been happy. The staff is lovely and the facilities are really clean and comfortable. I went in today to get something checked out and Mike and Derek were really kind and helpful.

I gotta say that this is one of the best urgent cares that I have gone too. I went in on 05/24/24 to get stitches in my thumb after an accident with a hunting knife. All of the staff was incredibly kind. Then on 5/30/24, I went to get them out. Once again I was treated incredibly well. They only gave me a slip with Mari and Jasmine names on it, but I believe that everyone there needs to get a free lunch. Its so refreshing (specifically after the pandemic) to have such great hospitality and care at a medical facility.

Thank you to Mike and Brad! Mike was extremely caring and attentive and Brad as well- they diagnosed me with a spiral fracture of the distal fibula. The whole process was as seamless as it could possibly be, quick, and efficient. Thank you for making a rough situation, better!

Kimberly and Jasmine were amazing. I was on a work trip in the area and needed to go to an urgent care in a pinch, I was in and out in 30 mins and had immediate care. I am so grateful for the staff who helped me!

I crushed my fingers in a door and came here on a Friday afternoon to get X-rays. There were quite a few people in the waiting room but I only sat for about 10 minutes before being seen. Mike brought me back and took my X-rays. He was kind, cracked a few jokes, and shared his own story of a hand crush injury. I was seen after the X-rays by Devin. She was extremely thorough and knowledgeable as we talked over my injury. Despite how busy they seemed, Devin took her time with me which is rare for an urgent care. I genuinely felt cared for. 10/10 would recommend coming here for any urgent care needs!

Truly an amazing clinic. Easy to schedule an appointment online, open 7 days a week, and a clean clinic! It’s tough finding a clinic that accepts Medicaid so it feels like I’ve hit a holy grail. From the friendly & knowledgeable front desk, to the rockstar of an MA (Hugo), and the caring physicians, I am glad I found this clinic. Everyone at the clinic deserves free lunch!

Went in with dizziness, shakiness, overheating, and feeling like I was going to pass out. All things previous doctors had chalked up to anxiety. Here they did many tests, and asked a lot of questions and suggested things it could be outside of anxiety along with ruling some other things out. They gave me useful info to bring into my primary care doctor. I’m super grateful for the team here for doing a thorough investigation and actually caring.

Mackenzie and the staff were all so helpful. It was a very timely efficient visit and this is my go to urgent care facility. Thank you everyone!

No one likes having to go to urgent care when they feel bad. But Kimberly, Citaly and PA Kelly insured I was in and out fast and with the care that I needed. AFC urgent cares have been the best urgent cares I’ve ever gone to in Colorado and I’m glad this one also lived up to that standard. Thank you for your attentiveness!

I had the most wonderful experience here after breaking my foot. Mike and his team treated me with excellent care and I felt heard throughout the entire process. In and out within an hour from check in to x-ray and was immediately contacted by the doctor’s office who I would be seeing after due to the team reaching out. Highly recommend!

Have come here at least 5 times. They provide adequate care for extremely basic conditions, are friendly on the surface, and in my experience timely. The nurses are great however, a doctor there and PA have misdiagnosed me three times when I told them what I thought I had. ( I do in fact have what I self diagnosed after seeing a helpful doctor that can say the sentence “I don’t know” rather than being condescending) they’ve also been dismissive and belittling, once confidently saying that the condition I’m referring to is much more niche than the symptoms I was presenting with and that it’s “doctor language”. They even gave me a referral to rheumatology although there was no reason for that, I needed an allergist but they clearly don’t continue education here. Don’t go here if you have something weird going on. Go find a helpful doctor.

I go to afc urgent care for almost all my medical needs. I always have a great experience. My most recent visit Jasmine made sure I was brought back into a room almost as soon as I checked in. Mike was amazing and answered all my questions. I always feel well cared about.

I came to this Urgent care for vertigo that I woke up with, I must say this staff here are very wonderful people!! I was treated so well , I was assisted by Mari Jasmine very polite, patient and answered all my questions. The staff here are great !! I highly recommend

I came in on my birthday with a large laceration on my foot. Kim and Mike were amazing and super friendly. We were in right away fixed up and out within 2 hrs. This was the best experience I’ve had with urgent care in Denver.

Walked in when they opened as I had been dealing with strep like symptoms for a few days. Filled out some paperwork and I was able to get in, tested and seen by a doctor quickly. Kimberly as Jasmine were great to work with. Dr. Harsant was also fast, easy to understand, prescribed the right medications and got me out the door quickly. Thank you everyone!

This urgent care is very nice! Not only is their interior very welcoming and clean, their staff is very friendly and work extremely efficiently to get you in and out and feeling better! My experience with Cali was very welcoming and caring and made my experience much better! Would definitely recommend this to everyone and will absolutely be going back!

The visit was super quick and easy. Diamond, the MA, prepared the procedure room before I entered and was ready for my injury. She was friendly, professional, and had a comforting personality. Angela, the nurse practitioner, did a great job of stopping the bleeding and getting me cared for quickly. A great team and experience.

I dont recommend this clinic. Ive been to it twice, and the following were issues that I experienced.First visit: The worst was probably when I was asked to provide a sample, and when I walked into the bathroom, there was someone elses blood on the toilet. I told the staff member who directed me there that there was someone elses blood, and she responded by rolling her eyes and said, You want ME to clean it up?, as if it were my job. And there were still blood stains when I was told I could go back in.The provider, though very kind, gave me incorrect information regarding whether my insurance covered a specific PCR test. I was told they dont, but later learned that they actually do. Providers should not be involved with billing and insurance coverage information. That is something the billing department should be able to address, and admin/medical assistants should have access to that information.Unfortunately, during my second visit, I learned that AFCs billing department seems to have no knowledge nor access to procedures/codes to be able to verify with your insurance whether they would cover that specific procedure. That is STANDARD PRACTICE.The front desk told me to call billing. Billing said they dont have the information, call the clinic. Called the clinic, and was forwarded to a medical assistant who told me to GOOGLE the procedural code myself. I told her I did actually do that, but that doesnt tell me what code THEY actually ordered. She said hold on, returned a minute later, and gave me a code. I asked her if she just googled that, and she admitted YES. She told me only providers have that information. So she said hang on again, and returned with a different code. I asked her if it was for a PCR test, and she said YES. That was actually not true.I made more calls, left multiple voicemails which were never returned. When I finally reached a live person, she told me that someone with the initials C.C. had documented that she called me and left me a VM the evening before. I received no call, nor VM from anyone. I asked again for what procedure/code was actually ordered. She repeated the same information which was contradictory. She forwarded me to a medical assistant who also said the same thing. I again asked for the procedural code, she said that only providers have that information, otherwise she would have to call the lab. I said yes, please call the lab, and when I said please dont bother the provider because I had just been told that it was very busy there, she put me on hold and asked the provider. She came back with a code that was NOT for a PCR test. ONE WHOLE WEEK and 10+ phone calls to get this info.So AFC BILLING doesnt have knowledge nor access to procedural codes which are integral to billing functions. The front desk and medical assistants dont have access to procedural codes. Though my first provider called me to discuss results, the 2nd provider thought it was appropriate to tell the front desk staff to review results with me and to be sure to follow up with my PCP regarding abnormal findings. And providers are not educating patients about serious adverse effects from taking prescribed meds. So the 2nd medical provider doesnt review medical information, the front desk staff is. Medical providers are providing insurance/billing information. The front desk staff is reviewing medical results with patients. Medical assistants dont have access to procedural codes, and are confused about actual procedures and codes.Highly ineffective and inappropriate operations, unethical communications and behaviors, lack of sanitary environment and unprofessional attitudes.Mike was the clinic manager during my 1st visit, and he made a difference. He deeply cared about patients, and diligently attempted to problem solve. I learned he left, and it was obvious from the chaos.11 days later, I still dont know the results of my lab test, and it is causing delays in medical treatments that I desperately need.

Came here for a work injury on my right knee and they were ABSOLUTELY amazing. We explained our situation and they were very understanding, very helpful, knowledgeable and most of all.. CARING. Thank you Mike, Jasmine & Derek!!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while. I highly recommend this clinic. I’ve come here twice with relief as an out of state resident since they accept my insurance. The team is very kind and caring, they are also very quick to assist with services. I will feel comfortable to continue to come here for whatever health concerns I have that need attention until I am able to become an official resident soon and find a local PCP. Thank you guys so much for all your hard work and excellent service!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The staff is rude, snarky, and just overall a complete disgrace to the medical profession with their lack of bedside manner and causticness. The nurse who greeted us was not friendly, and gave extremely flippant responses to basic questions while taking vitals. Ive been to other AFC locations and had great experiences, so I assume this location is just plagued with inexperienced people who dont know how to treat patients with kindness and respect. Go to ANY other urgent care, not here!!

Easy reservation process, quick and professional intake. The Dr/PA was fantastic. Gave clear and understandable explanation as to what was going on, recommended several options for treatment and made me confident to start that treatment. Additionally provided contact information for specific resources and other businesses that I could use for treatment. I had a strained back so she checked for possible other injuries, gave me a course of treatment and recommended two local businesses that could help me through massage and other wholistic options. Invaluable information. Very satisfied.

Dr. McGurren has incredible bedside manner! I had to get some stitches and I DO NOT do needles well. He made me feel so comfortable and was very reassuring. Thank you for making a miserable time a little better!

I just came in yesterday because my primary wasn’t going to be able to look at me until later in the week and I was really surprised with how well this urgent care is run. I used the pre registration to get in line and once I got to the waiting room I waited less than 20 minutes to be taken back. I was assisted by Maribel and Jasmine during my visit and checked out by Hollie and all three were wonderful. I’ve had bad experiences at urgent cares in the past so this was truly amazing how it felt more like a family doctor’s office. I will come back here anytime I need to be seen quickly!

Its hard to be in a good mood if you find yourself in the position of having to walk into an Urgent Care. With that said, Ive had to stop in here three or four times over the last five years, and I think they are actually improving with every visit. My most recent situation I was seen so promptly, the staff was exceedingly kind and they made an unpleasant situation bearable. Though there are Urgent Care places closer to where I live, I go out of my way to visit this one because of the staff and service.

Ive been here many times. Last time Kimberly, Maribel, and the provider took good care of me. To address a recent poor review, yes, they do ask you to leave a review, but I dont find that unethical. I wouldnt leave one if I didnt think they did a great job. Asking for your feedback probably increases their level of customer service. While Ive always had super short wait times, I also understand that emergencies happen (this is an urgent care after all) and patients must be triaged to care for everyone appropriately.

I have been to this urgent care several times over the past few months, all for different reasons. I swear it’s the best urgent care in America. Everyone is so friendly and personable which is unlike most urgent care workers.My most recent physician, John, was so kind and treated my symptoms thoroughly. Not even 12 hours later I felt like a new person.I will definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone in the Denver area!!

What a fantastic team at the Highlands AFC Urgent Care! Ive been to a different AFC, and the customer service was not as good. This location had really friendly and helpful people. Jasmine helped me get checked in quickly and was super helpful with my workers comp paperwork. Hugo, my medical assistant, was super friendly and really personable. Not that anyone ever wants to be at urgent care, but if you have to pick one, this place has a fantastic team of people to assist you in your time of need!

I came down to Colorado from California and Mike and Jasmine helped me , Very professional, but they got me in and out of urgent care within 40 minutes so I can get back to my vacation! They were able to relieve me from my pain and allowed me to enjoy the rest of my stay in Denver ! Thank you Jasmine and & Mike !

No one wants to go to urgent care...but if you must this is a safe space to be. The lady at the front desk (I forgot her name) was warm and inviting. Mike took my vitals and concerns, and Devin saw me and addressed my pain. I appreciate them all. (Random side not, its near Skinner Middle School where my oldest went there, a lot of the parents there might need to check this location! )

Citlaly was very efficient and friendly. Vanessa did a thorough job. The NP whose name I forgot, likewise did a sterling job.

After receiving (reasonable) care at this facility, I was asked by my nurse to leave a 5 star Google review so she as she would get a free lunch. My first reaction was, yeah, why not, she was nice enough. When I was handed my paperwork to leave, there was a bright pink strip of paper stapled to is stating, Thank you for choosing AFC Urgent Care! If you are satisfied with our service, please leave a 5 star google review with your assistants name. This gets our team a free lunch! You were assisted by..... Then I thought, wait a minute I waited TWO HOURS past my appointment time to be seen for a puncture wound. While the care I received here was fine, the 5 star reviews informed my decision to go to this clinic. I will look elsewhere next time, and hope this review helps you make your decision on care more informed.

Jaime and Jenna were both fantastic! We were seen quickly, both did a very good job helping out and made sure to validate that, I 6 foot 1, 37 year old man was very brave for how I handled getting my single stitch in my knuckle. Jenna did a great job with numbing me up so I didnt feel the needle at all.

Was quick and easy. I signed up online so wait time was pretty short and Cali was very helpful to get me in and out of the exam fast.

The assistant and PA were able to give me a diagnose very quickly and prescribed to me the meds I needed. We got there at 7 pm and were out around 8:30... The prescriptions were sent over to my local pharmacy and was able to picked them up the next morning. Very professional staff and easy ro register.

Hardly ever do you have a smooth medical experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked i received excellent care. Diamond and Heather were super helpful and the doctor I saw was incredibly helpful at easing my concerns, and guiding me on a path towards next steps. Heather was great at handling my insurance concerns, and the doc explained everything to me with great detail and helped so much! Great work from this team.

Usually going to the doctor is stressful and feeling sick sucks. But the one upside is being able to interact with the amazing staff at AFC urgent care in Denver highlands. I was so sick when I came to urgent care. Citlaly quickly got me into a room , took my history and did several swabs to eliminate covid or strep diagnosis. She is very pleasant.

Had a great experience at this clinic. My doc’s office was completely booked so came here with an awful case of strep. Waited about 40mins w/o an appt and was seen by Cali and Stu. Felt compassion and care from both and was well taken care of.

Ive taken my kids to AFC Highlands before and had positive experiences, but this was my first visit personally, and Ill certainly be back! The staff were great! Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there.Doc Payne was awesome -- knowledgeable and straightforward and she actually took time to talk things through. Many docs seem so hurried these days, but she was happy to fully answer all my questions and was in no hurry to race off.Mike the x-ray tech was also great -- he was actually singing as he came in to collect me. He asked excellent questions about my injury as he took the pictures and was concerned about my comfort.Highly recommend!

Got hit by an acute upper respiratory infection that lasted much longer than I thought it would. Went in to get looked at and have something prescribed for it. Desiree and Teresa were kind and friendly as was my practitioner; she did an efficient and thorough check on my condition and got me back home with medicine and clear instructions on how to beat recover and get back to normal.I signed up for an appointment online and was able to get in shortly after I arrived. I imagine thats the best way to go if you have the time beforehand. If youre experiencing an emergency, go to an ER!

Desiree and the rest of the team at AFC Highlands are amazing. They remain calm and kind even when things get very busy. I wish this team worked at my primary care physician’s office. They are much more efficient, compassionate, and willing to spend time with you than most healthcare professionals that I’ve encountered.

I have always loved this place, even when it was a bike shop. Since it has become an Urgent Care facility, I have used it twice for accidental falls. I have found it impossible to get my United Health Care provider to hook me up to an actual primary care doctor, so when things like this happen, I rely on the AFC Urgent Care. This time, I left a wound to heal on its own for five days – and it did not. When I was told I was playing with fire if it was infected. I got in, got seen, got treated and got streeted with antibiotics within 30 minutes. Diamond and her co-heath care professional team were kind, quick and – most appreciated – non-judgmental about my stupid fall. Same with the previous visit. I appreciate them.

I had such a great experience at AFC Urgent Care. As a first time patient, I was not sure what to expect. The staff were incredibly kind and I felt genuinely cared for. Citlaly helped me check in as a walk in quickly and I did not have to wait very long to be seen considering the small crowd in the waiting room. Desiree made me feel comfortable and at ease in the exam room. After experiencing different urgent cares in Denver, I absolutely would come here again (if needed).

I went in for a hurt wrist and the front desk girl, totally spacing her name unfortunately, was very nice and helpful in getting me checked in since I didn’t have an appointment. Usually at other located urgent cares, the wait is minimum an hour, I only waited 15 minutes! I was seen by Desiree and Diamond who were both super sweet and made the whole process so easy! I had to get an X-ray and a splint and it all took under an hour! Overall great experience!

I went in for an emergency visit yesterday and they were efficient in getting me checked and planned out all of the testing required and were all very friendly! Liz & Mari were troopers dealing with my stubborn bloodwork and were very thorough regarding what each test was for and how it would be conducted.

This was probably the most pleasant urgent care experience I’ve ever had. The woman at the front desk, Megan was very kind and patient. I had trouble uploading my ID and Insurance pictures online and she helped me through that with ease. She was also super nice to everyone coming in and out of the building. I feel like I didn’t wait long at all to go back with my MA Citlaly. She was so kind and comforting and stated my vitals out loud which I really appreciated. I needed a shot in my butt and she did a great job, it didn’t hurt at all. My PA Dr. Moore was amazing and knew exactly how to treat my symptoms.

Cali helped my daughter and me and was so nice and knowledgeable getting our vitals and intake information. When I listed the medications I’m allergic to she even explained that all three are actually related so it’s pretty common to be allergic to all of them, although there are plenty of exceptions. Thanks for putting us at ease and taking care of us when we were sick!

Online booking & pre registering take some time, but definitely pay off. Was seen in less than 5 minutes of arrival. Easy.

This was definitely the best urgent care/doctor visit I’ve ever had.
