AFC Urgent Care Lakewood

Just want to let everyone out there know, when you come to this urgent care they will do everything in there power to make your experience pleasant and professional. Today I was lucky enough to speak with the manager Robby. He and Kelly both worked together to make my personal experience a success. I was able to receive the treatment I needed and it was all done in a timely manner. Thank you, JOE-

Adriana, Kelly, Will and Kristine were great. We came in for level three care. We received great service. We returned to get a removal done a week later and received excellent service again. When we arrived the front desk remembered my daughter. The rest of the staff was so friendly. Another staff member remembered her too that made getting care a second time easy and less stressful. Thank you all!

I received the best of care at this AFC Lakewood urgent care!The front desk employee was kind and helpful. I’m hard of hearing.Both Will, and Ariana were detailed and compassionate with their questions to diagnose my problem. I was given antibiotics, which cleared up my problem within a couple of days.I will definitely use this urgent care again.

We called ahead to verify wait times. Seen quickly and was diagnosed quickly. Bedside manner just as you would want when you don’t feel good. Prescribed necessary antibiotics, set me up with a plan should anything change and I felt better when i left with specific actions to take. Would go back if I have any other issues that pop up outside my regular doctors hours.

The entire experience was phenomenal!! The staff was extremely kind and helpful, with being patient and thorough in answer questions or calming concerns. Will was extremely well-knowledged, and Kelly went above and beyond with aiding in insurance coverage. Each person staffed there cares about the patient and wants to help them, no matter the circumstance! 10/10 would recommend, and will be going back in the case of a medical concern!

This hands down is one of the best urgent cares I have been to. The entire staff is always really friendly and the wait times are never astronomically long. This place is nice and clean. I have always felt heard and listened to and all my medical needs addressed.

Everyone there was so kind. The Drs explaining everything. I am visiting from out of town, but they treated me like my primary care. Actually, better. Thanks to all for being a great emergency care center.

I live this urgent care. I’ve been there twice now with my 3yo and the staff there is amazing. It’s a great close option when it’s nothing too serious (needed strep test) and they’re so fast and friendly. 10/10

I have had great experiences at AFC urgent care in Lakewood! They always get me back very quickly, their staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they always ask if there is more they can do and I don’t feel rushed or inconvenient to them. Today I was in and out in under 20 mins for an illness appointment. Highly recommend!

My visit was excellent. My medical assistant, Ariana was very knowledgeable and provided wound cleansing and reviewed my discharge instructions. My provider Kathryn knew what to do with my infected wound.

All the staff, from the front desk to the PA and EMT who administered the shot, were fabulous.Kristine took her time to LISTEN and come to a good diagnosis that was quite helpful to me.Very grateful for AFC!!

The staff at AFC were amazing. I was seen quickly and was diagnosed efficiently. Will was one of the nurses to take care of me and he was warm and made me feel very comfortable! Great team all around.

Wonderful staff! Very nice and professional. We were in and out within an hour. There’s nothing better than that feeling of being cared for.

I can’t recommend this place to anyone. On 7/20 I went in for a severe pain in my ear and throat and was told by Kristine Thorne it was a muscular etiology and was recommend heat and stretching. Well the next day at night I ended up at the ER with a right tonsillar abscess, had to get steroids, antibiotics and painkillers. Evidently Kristine didn’t care to properly diagnose what was going on.

Ive been here twice now and both times I got disappointing disgnoses.Today took the cake. I was told antibiotics wouldnt work on bursitis I had and recommended to go to the ER. I go to the ER and the Doctor seemed shocked Id be recommended for a fluid drain.$4,100 bill and all I need is antibiotics.Ill be looking for a different Urgent Care location next time.

I’ve been going to AFC urgent care for a couple years now, they have always been able to treat me very quickly and effectively and all of their providers and nurses are the sweetest! Shoutout to Will, he is an EMT who recently treated me, hes incredibly and funny and ensured in making me feel comfortable and understood when I wasn’t feeling well.

This is my second visit here. I was dealing with a very painful situation and they got me in and out super quick with results and solutions! Special thanks to Will, Kelly, Ariana, and Kathryn for your great service!

Very sweet and responsive staff! The EMT Will and Doctor Meg took great care of my young daughter and her fractured arm.

I always come to this location when my doctors office has no appointments or on their half day of the week or when my clinic has s close for the day and we should see a doctor. They have the convenience of you waiting in your car and calling you when it’s you appointment and doing the paperwork work online from home so all you have to do is see the doctor stress free. I don’t and won’t go to any other clinic outside of my family practice if we don’t have too.

Quicker service compared to other places. Kristine Thorne, PA was great. She really emphasized how much resting your body is required, and you can’t always just work through.

Update/edits: They don’t pick up calls and don’t return voicemails. - This is still true of the billing department for AFC urgent care, which is the number provided on the bill I was sent. I tried calling this number 3-4 times at different times of day on different days; it always went to voicemail, and I received no return calls.However, the Lakewood AFC location did pick up calls, and I did manage to speak with Robby as recommended by the owner in their response to my review. After corresponding with Robby, who acted as a go-between who could actually speak with the billing department, I managed to get my bill reduced from $255 to $138. If I could rate Robby alone, I would give him a rating of 4.75 (-.25 for trying to have the front desk field my second call, but to his credit he did end up taking my call), and he is honestly the primary reason Im bothering to edit this review at all; that and I value truth. Robby was timely, effective, and professional. That being said, without having access to Robby, I would probably have never managed to speak to the billing department, and access to Robby was likely only granted in hopes that I would change my review and rating. Which I have, from 1 to 3* since they did reduce the bill slightly after multiple calls and emails with Robby.At the end of the day, my bill was still the result of a mistake by AFC Lakewood. The front desk mistook a copay of $0 as meaning that my insurance would fully cover the visit. To reiterate, I asked the front desk to make certain that I would be charged nothing prior to my accepting care; it is the first thing I did upon walking in because despite being in an urgent care, I just wanted to be certain I didnt have a concussion; I did not have any urgent symptoms, I just know someone who suffered a subdural hematoma weeks after a fall. Had they indicated any fee above $0 would be charged, I wouldve walked out and been completely fine, which is what their physician determined after I filled out one form, had my blood pressure measured, and spoke with their physician for

The care itself was good, was able to get in. However; due to my insurance finally paying out, they charged my card an automatic $100. This left $100 credit to my account, and I have now tried to receive this refund for over 2-monhts. Left a message with billing, no response. I finally got a hold of someone, they said they send checks once a month only and they would send the check request over to the appropriate dept. No check. Called again, was forwarded over, sat on hold for 20+ minutes. Called again, another answering machine.At this point it appears they need my $100 more than I do.

Every single person I encountered at my visit was amazing from the front desk check in young lady, to Michele med tech and especially Katherine the PA. She listened and was very helpful in determining the best course of treatment for my symptoms. This has been the best experience I have ever had at any medical facility. If I could give more than a 10 I would.

I really enjoy the front staff as well as the NP and I think, Doctor, I have seen. Both very kind, willing to listen, and made me feel very comfortable.

The office was clean, the staff very professional and helpful.I didnt have to wait forever even though they were very busy make sure everything runs smoothly! I definitely would recommend going here to take care of your medical needs.

Fast, friendly, efficient, thorough. Dr. Schwartz took time to explain the situation and what the possible solutions were....using real words, not medical gibberish. I highly recommend this AFC location.

My husband and I always go here. The people are amazing, personable, and kind. The doctors are helpful and informed. Best urgent care around.

In a sea of inefficient, costly, poor customer experience, etc. in healthcare my experience was a breath of fresh air.The staff couldnt be more respectful, attentive, thoughtful and comprehensive in regards to my care. Kristine Thorne was amazing.

The staff at this location are very nice and helpful. However, this might not be the best place to be seen if you have a suspected broken bone. I went this past Saturday because my foot was hurting, and I wanted an x-ray. They couldnt do it though because they didnt have an x-ray tech in on Saturday and asked me to come back on Sunday and they would add an xray to the Saturday visit. Showed up on Sunday and the office was closed. There were power outages in the neighborhood due to high winds that weekend. Thats okay, its a circumstance beyond their control. I understand. I show up one more time on Monday, and yet again, am told they do not have an x-ray tech in that day. I know that healthcare is experiencing staffing shortages and I try to be sympathetic to the situation, but it was still a huge inconvenience. And I was out a $40 copay for basically nothing. I ended up having to go to a Centura Health urgent care to be seen.

Although the wait was long, it is totally fine considering that urgent cares are typically busy. The building itself was clean and accessible. There was a large amount of parking spaces and seats available inside.The staff were very friendly and helpful, helping to calm down my daughter when she had to take an X-ray. Aside from the fact that we had to wait three hours for our results, we were very understanding and the staff were amazing anyway!!! I definitely recommend.

I made an appointment to have a cyst looked at - my first time at this location. I did my intake virtually before the appointment so check-in was easy. The NA taking my vitals was very nice and the PA was very kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend and will be returning!PSA: I would absolutely make an appointment if you can. It seemed like there were a few people without appointments that got there before I did and were still waiting when I was done with my appointment.

MELANIE CRUSHED IT!!! Had to go in this Sunday for some stitches after a snowboarding incident. Arrived at 1600 and was out by 1700. Her and the team absolutely crushed it. Honestly the best experience I have ever had. On top of this they were very welcoming, personable and I loved the sense of humor. For sure helped me relax and feel comfortable.Payment was explained very well. Wound care for the next few days was straight forward as well. I was extremely impressed with them all the way around.Funny part was that we just moved to Lakewood about a month and half ago and when this accident happened in Keystone my buddy was like, I know exactly where we are going. It was well worth the trip back to Lakewood.

If youre going here to get sti testing done, go somewhere else. No way to make an appointment online for testing so I went in as a walk in. I even tried calling before hand but no one answered. Got to the front desk, guy asks for my name and writes it on a note so he can finish whatever he was doing on his computer. 3 other people walk in, and the guy happily talks to them. Got agitated by seeing that, but something I noticed is that they had these people voice what they were coming in for. So, Im here to get sti testing and thinking, theres no way Im going to have to awkwardly tell this dude in front of a bunch of people that I want to get tested for an sti. I walked out. Wasnt worth the hassle and embarrassment.

Absolutely wonderful amazing staff! I was in and out quickly. I went in for a sinus infection but I also had low blood pressure and Im pregnant. They were so attentive to me and really cared for me. Thank you all so much, from the receptionist to my nurse who loved my pants and tattoos, and my wonderful doctor. I highly recommend this place!

The staff were amazing. I was seen right away. I highly recommend this urgent care. I was very impressed!

Our first impression when walking in the building was great, however, one we were taken to the back, things were not so great. The EMT, Lance Lawson, that walked us back and also took vitals was incredibly rude. I told him the reason I was there and he said rudely “and what exactly are you seeking from us??”. I told him medication and he got even more irritated and rude and smacked his notepad with the sense of “why are these people even here”. He rapidly went through questions as if he was in a hurry and when he took my blood pressure cuff off, he snatched it off and slightly hurt my arm. My husband was in the room and can vouch for this. We would’ve walked out if I hadn’t already paid my co-pay. The PA was incredibly nice, however, we went home without a single prescription for a positive COVID test and all the symptoms I am having. I wasted money just for a confirmation that I did indeed have Covid. No treatment was even given.

Sage was very friendly both on the phone and in person. Kristine is a fabulous PA; kind, caring, and knowledgeable. We have used this facility numerous times and always have great care. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised to have been greeted with a great deal of professionalism, attentiveness, and care. Not to mention, I arrived just a few minutes before close. I needed help with wound care. Due to the complexity I was able to interact with all the staff members. All of which were helpful and did an amazing job. As I felt guilty for my timing I was never rushed and they ensured my quality of care. Thank you ladies for all your hard work. Specifically Megan, Taylor, Sage, Tahlia, and Ariana.

Rachel and Michelle were absolutely fabulous! My friend had to get stitches and they were very hospitable and handled the process quickly and professionally.

Lexi was so accommodating to my sick child. She was gentle with the testing and got him some water etc. she helped make him as comfortable as possible, when he felt awful.

Been three times now.1st - bad bedside manners for 12 year old needing stitches2nd - good experience for broken nose/rib issue3rd - terrible wait times. 1.5 hours with online appt. What’s the point of making an online appt if you are that backed up. No one wants to site and wait that long. Get with it. Still waiting as I type this.

The whole staff was courteous, professional, and timely from check in to discharge. My medical treatment from Kristine was excellent as she explained every step of the procedure along the way and answered all of my questions, and gave very clear instructions on the home care needed. I am extremely pleased with the care received.

My provider (Kathryn Rayner) was super sweet and I normally have bad experiences when I go see other people besides my provider. I just wanted to say Kathryn Rayner who I saw gave me such amazing experience and made me feel so comfortable. I really appreciate providers like her. I wish there were more like her!! The PA Kristine Thorne was also super sweet. She didn’t treat me like I was asking stupid questions she was so nice and didn’t rush me. She was amazing!

The facility was very clean, and front desk staff was helpful. My wife was sick and her work required she be tested for COVID and the flu. The nurse was normal and did all the normal nurse things. Then the doctor came in...I wouldnt be surprised if it was a random person off the street pretending to be a doctor. While asking my wife about her medical history, she accused her of lying about having walking pneumonia previously. When we reassured her that she did, the doctor rambled about misdiagnoses for a while. She just really didnt seem to believe us.She then asked about supplements like Emergen-C. We told her she hadnt taken any. She then went on a several minute long diatribe about how they dont work. We told her multiple times that she wasnt taking any in an attempt to shut her up, but she just kept talking...Eventually the results came back and we left as fast as possible.This was the weirdest interaction I have ever had with a medical professional. I will not be coming here again for fear of this weird doctor whose name I forgot.

Everyone was very friendly but the doctor (Christine) I saw very confidently told me I just sprained my deltoid and would not order any imaging to make sure. I decided to seek out a second opinion, got the MRI I needed, and found out I actually had torn my labrum and needed surgery, so the visit was a complete waste of my time and money.

By far the best urgent care in Lakewood / green mountain! They Took very good care of me! Went for a covid test for travel and Aaron took the time to review the covid guidelines for my travel and make sure I was getting the right test for the requirements of the convention I was going to. The EMT who gave me my swab warned me it would be uncomfortable but gave me several tips to make it more bearable! Everyone is so nice and the facility is also very well taken care of. Hello. We arrived on November 22,2023 with my 6 yr old daughter. She was having shoulder pain, fevers and some vomiting. After being literally looked at by a nurse she sent us to ER. Before we were sent to ER I explained all of my daughter’s symptoms and asked the PA to do a chest x-ray- she refused. I asked again. She said no they’ll just do it at the ER! She insisted we go to the ER. Now I have a $12,000.00 bill over my head! I will be keeping your urgent care responsible for this. By the way her diagnosis was Pneumonia. Your PA could have given her the chest xray and sent me home with a script for antibiotics. This is wrong on so many levels. please do better. I’d love for something to contact me and then contact Children’s in HR. How do you want me to pay the bill?

I just came in for a check up and was seen by Natalie Campbel and she was AMAZING! Definitely a great person and made me feel comfortable and welcomed! Shes one of a kind! Definitely scheduling my next visit to be seen by her and her team! ☺️

Best urgent care experience anyone could ask for! On the way to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, I decided to cut my finger open and needed stitches. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness and never made to feel like an imposition. Natale at the front desk quickly got me checked in and explained what the next steps were. Within a few minutes, Michele came out and took me to the back, quickly prepping grabbing my vitals and making me feel comfortable. Rachel then came in and threw in some stitches. Like a wizard, she was done in no time, all while holding a casual convo with me to keep me distracted. Within minutes of her finishing, Lance swung through, got my bandaged up, and I was out the door! Start to finish, I was in and out in less than an hour. I highly recommend this team and location! Great job!!

Quick appointment, friendly staff, and nice facilities. Ive been to the AFC in the West Highlands, Golden and Lakewood (have moved around a bit the last few years). The Lakewood and West Highlands location are both excellent and received similar quality of care and professionalism. The one in Golden is pretty run down and staff was okay at best. I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care Lakewood!

The people were great. The medical care was not. I came in for a pain in my side and when the PA found out I had a cold a couple weeks ago and a lingering cough, she immediately went the direction of possible pneumonia. Had a chest x-ray and was told it wasnt pneumonia and told me to see my personal physician in 3-5 days if it continued. I have already had the pain for a week and if I could get in to see my personal physician in a reasonable time I would have done that instead of coming here. I didnt come in to see what my problem wasnt, I came to find out what it was. So, my insurance gets charged for an unnecessary x-ray and visit and I still have a pain that I dont know what is causing it.

From the front desk all the way to the doctor every person I encountered was the perfect combination of friendly and efficient. I only wish Id come sooner. For the first time in weeks I feel better. Thank you all so much! You were a joy to work with!

If I Could leave less stars I would I went in with a abscess on my back end. And I can’t recall the doctors name but she basically butchered me. I do not like commenting on people’s jobs and I’ve never been written a review before. The numbing shot didn’t work the first time and she chose to “test it out” and open me up I could feel everything. Then after another shot I could still feel everything she did not care and continued. She said I shouldn’t feel it past the first layer of skin but I did and told her that but still continued. What really got me tho I’d I just had an open procedure done where I could feel everything and this woman tells me I need to clean myself up. I couldn’t stand for several minutes. I was shaking and I even fainted for a few seconds. She just left me to clean myself up. A open wound that I couldn’t see she told me to clean up myself. I made a mess in the office and I was embarrassed. She also didn’t clean up any of the used gauze so there was bloody gauze everywhere. And she DID NOT bandage my open wound up in anyway. I took several minutes to just be able to get dressed but I could barley do that. I didn’t even get my pants up all the way. Or walk. I was bare and open walking out like that with stares from everyone in the waiting room and not a single person tried to help. Also the doctor came in like 4 times basically telling me I need to leave while I’m struggling to just stand and putt clothes on over an open wound. I wouldn’t even know how to take after care for it if it wasn’t for my mom who used to be a nurse. I forget this doctors name but she was tall and blonde. If she was rushing because it was busy I suggest getting more than one doctor on shifts. I had to wait outside with my pants basically off bleeding till my boyfriend showed up to get me.

We have visited this Urgent Care several times and the staff is wonderful. I was able to get o line on Saturday night and in first thing Sunday to help with my coughing. Melanie treated me and she is excellent! Thank you

Ive been here a few times. Have never had a good experience, but today I had a bad one. I had the misfortune of being seen by Mackenzie Courtney, a cold, unfeeling, uncaring excuse for a medical professional.She did not listen to my concerns or requests, did not care about trying to manage my pain, only told me to go to my PCP. She had one foot out the door in the middle of my talking to her, I had to tell her to wait a damn second. I was the first person in here at 8AM, and there were only two other people waiting. There was no need for her to act like she had 40 people waiting.I requested a painkiller that was better than Tylenol. She said with an attitude that they dont do narcotics here. I told I dont want narcotics, just something better than Tylenol. She responded, again with an attitude, that she wasnt giving me tylenol.The prescriptions I did manage to get out of her were barely enough to get me by for a few days.Long story short, dont waste your time here, these people dont care about you. I do not feel taken care of or even helped here, and will never return.Id rather get my medical care from the bums on the corner up the street than from this care facility.

Super quick easy check in. The nicest staff! We are out of town from the Valley and took our toddler to another clique only to be told he was healthy. Turns out he really does have an ear infection.

I had the most pleasant experience at AFC Urgent Care. The office itself was so clean and professional. Rebecca at the front desk was unbelievably kind from the moment I first called to when I arrived in office. She helped me figure out my out of network coverage with no issues. The rest of the staff, Peaches especially, as well as Jennifer and Lance were on top of things and provided a welcoming environment when I was feeling uncertain with my health. My provider, Amanda, was working very hard all morning and still was able to greet me with patience, guidance, and wellness. I’m so lucky to have a place like this near by to be so accommodating as well as friendly.

The staff was very compassionate and professional. I was seen quickly, even though they were busy. Staff introduced themselves and explained all procedures to me. Dr. Evan was extremely nice.

Nice facility that is welcoming when you walk in and the front desk attendant was extremely friendly and engaging. Waiting room is cozy and offers coffee pods and tea along with a TV. Parking is ample and shared with another business so, don’t be worried that there may be a long wait. The registration process is expedited by sending a link to your mobile device or you can schedule ahead. Overall, a very quick and friendly experience with people who seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. This was my 2nd or maybe 3rd time in and I have always had a pleasant experience. I appreciate having them within a 3 mile drive and will be back when the need arises.

This is the best urgent care. I take my family here when necessary and have never had a bad experience. Last night, I showed up 5 minutes before they closed (which I *hate* doing to people, of course) and they couldnt have been more pleasant and professional. Was seen quickly and efficiently. Always clean and organized. Will not go anywhere else for urgent care as long as theyre around.

If I could i would give 0 stars. I was there for some chest pain this past Saturday and had called the Cigna nurse line before even going to AFC urgent care. The nurse over the phone told me to head over as soon as possible as my pain was directly over my heart. I have had this happen before years ago and when i went to swedish medical center they took it very serious and had me on an EKG within 10 minutes. My vitals were taken at swedish within the first 5 minutes of me being there. At AFC it took them 1.5 HOURS to even get my vitals. This was also only after I went back up to the front desk and asked how long it would be as I was still having chest pain. Keep in mind this entire time i was still in the lobby so its not like I had left or anything. They finally took my vitals and let me know there was other patients ahead of me. One of the things i noticed while waiting so long was that I was also not even asked about COVID or if i had any symptoms. From seeing all of the interactions it seemed like there was some arbitrary method to determine who would be asked, maybe darts on a wall or even/odd numbers as I did not manage to find a pattern.To top this off a UPS guy showed up and was in the lobby for at least 5 minutes without a face mask on. This is a known COVID test facility and no one from the AFC staff said so much as a word to this UPS delivery guy. Any professional medical facility would not only ask about COVID but would probably suggest or even remove a person who is in a small enclosed area where other sick people are to mask up or leave. To top my visit off I was finally given an EKG 2 hours after my arrival which had I been suffering from serious issues would be very helpful to know 2 hours later. Finally I was told I would be prescribed some medication and that this would be sent to my nearest Walgreens for which I gave them the address to. It is now 3 full days later and I have not heard so much as a peep from Walgreens or anyone else for that matter. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you value your health or want to be seen by professionals.

Injured my foot and had to come for an x-ray. Let me say, my experience with urgent cares has never been stellar but omg has this place changed that for me! Every single person I came in contact with was so nice and patient. They took the time to listen, gave me a disc with my X-rays without even having to ask, taught me how to use the crutches, and even walked me to my car when I left! They kept me so well informed during my visit and explained the next steps I would need to take for my treatment. If there’s ever a time when I need urgent care again, I will for sure be coming here. The provider (Rachel) was rude, cold, and uncaring. She was rolling her eyes while we were trying to explain what was going on and she treated us as if we were inconveniencing her with our list of symptoms. She did not listen to our concerns; did not care about the situation and the first thing she said is you need to go see your PCP and said she could only help me with 3 things. When my husband explained that we couldn’t get an appointment with PCP as soon as we needed it, she questioned him, asked if he even called them and asked them. She also assumed that “I probably forgot to pick up my antibiotics” from the pharmacy and didn’t let me explain that I did get them, but I had an allergic reaction to them, so they told me to stop taking them. After waiting forever for the test results, she walked into the room and tried to pretend that she cared but sent me away with no answers or solutions. We left the place feeling like we just wasted our time and angry about the way we got treated/attacked.

This Place is Amazing!! So my husband went in for not feeling well because of his ears. Come to find out my husband had really high blood pressure 🥺Doctor Megan Wallis Made sure to keep my husband longer and try helping him more than most Urgent care/ ERs would !!! Kept me out of the ER with a fever at 18 weeks pregnant...tested positive for strep and flu and getting treatment. So thankful to get in quickly and be well taken care of on a Sunday.

Came in for back pain, was told the wait was potentially 2 hours long (after the holidays) I was seen in less time than that. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Thank you Kathryn, Sage, Tahlia, Ariana, &Taylor!

I’ve been to other urgent cares before where I was forgotten in the waiting room - despite being the only person waiting. The people here are so kind and responsive and also quick! If you’re looking for an urgent care that will answer the phone, then this is not the place for you. You’d think that the secretary there would answer a phone call to the office but no. Glad you guys don’t care about safety of others if you can answer a basic phone call

5 STARS ONLY BECAUSE OF DR. JOHN VERMILYEN!I had a horrible experience at this urgent care about a week and a half ago, but Dr. John Vermilyen made it up for it.I knew that I had a sinus infection (this isnt my first rodeo) and came in for treatment after my 6th day of being sick with no improvement. They ran a strep test and it came back negative. The first practitioner I saw basically told me they couldnt do anything for me and to come back if Im still sick in 7 (literally tomorrow?) - 10 days. I understand that this is a common practice for a cold, but I KNEW I didnt just have a cold. I was struggling and in a lot of pain, but was given barely any attention or care.While the practitioner was halfway out the door and ready to send me home with nothing, I asked for some sort of medication to help since I had to return to work. Her response: Ill prescribe you something for your cough as she was walking out the door. I had to stop her from physically leaving the room to ask her THE NAME of the medication she was prescribing me and any possible side effects. She gave me a vague answer then left. This made me incredibly nervous, as I have had bad reactions to medications in the past and this was a medication Id never taken before.That being said, I was hesitant to return to this clinic after being treated that way but after 14 days of struggling, I decided I had to go back this morning. I am unable to see my primary care physician currently due to insurance issues or else I would have seen her.The second time around, I was lucky to be seen by Dr. Vermilyen! He really took the time to talk with me and understand how I was feeling. He validated my symptoms and my concerns. Not only that, he prescribed me medication to help my condition and took the time to discuss what side effects may occur. I had to stop and thank him for actually listening and helping me. I was almost in tears! He singly handedly restored my faith that there are good doctors out there.The front desk and nursing staff were great too. Overall, I would return again. Just going to call and make sure I wont be seeing the original doctor again!

I needed to get my little in last minute and they were able to handle a same day/walk in visit. The staff was very friendly and made my little feel comfortable under their care. We didnt have to wait long before being seen, just needed paperwork filled out.Only improvement I would suggest would be call back time on test results.

In a perfect world I’d prefer not to have to go to the urgent care. But when I do have to, I’m glad that this location is close to me while I’m here in Colorado. Very easy to schedule and appointment, and the staff is always friendly and very professional. Peaches, Jennifer, and Rebbeca are awesome! Thank you for making my visits easy. Having great personalities is key to running a successful location. I hope I don’t have to be back anytime soon, but in the event I need to, I know this will be my place of choice. I went for a strep test and was really impressed with the staff. They were helpful and thorough and had me laughing the whole time. Taylor, Talia and Megan were wonderful and I won’t hesitate to go back if I ever need to!

I came in with my husband who needed to be seen and upon checking in, we could tell the lady working the front desk was busy with her computer work. Clearly it was affecting her mood because she was short and rude when we asked questions about pricing for services when insurance isn’t available, treating us as if we were inconveniencing her with our questions. Then after giving the most useless response she asked very rudely if “we are staying or not” because she had other things to be doing. So we promptly left and went to a different urgent care, where they were straight forward about prices and could give us exact dollar amounts for the things we needed and we were in and out in less than 2 hours. Without the attitude.

I appreciate how friendly and understanding they were. They did a great job and they helped me understand the directions for the home care. I highly approve of their service and thank them for taking care of me. High suggest this clinic for urgent care ❤️🍀

Very sweet and personal, listens to what you have to say, the whole staff had a caring manor about them, and the front desk lady sage was so sweet and helpful it was also nice to see her cleaning the coffee station for guests, that way sickness doesnt spread. Overall a very well put together team 💛

Busy or quiet the doctors here always rush you out and treat you like you’re an annoyance to be there. I’ve had to visit a few times and more than once I’ve left with no no help or solution. Be prepared to be told you need to see a specialist. Apparently anything outside of a cold or flu is beyond the skill level of the doctors here. One time my wife went in for a stomach pain, they immediately sent her to the ER and told her there was no charge and a month later we got a bill from them. This is honestly a terrible place, you’d have better luck going straight to the ER.

Im unsure if I was just denied service because they simply do not want to do the service. Literally the review before mine is stating they had a similar procedure to what I am requesting and once they were able to take my money(without an examination) they told me that they were not able to do it as it is a sensitive area. The front desk lady is nice with blonde and purple(?) Hair. She also said that they usually do it ???

An employee came in with McDonald’s trying to speak to patient family who clearly didn’t speak English. She then proceeded to give the kid food! The last thing you want to smell is McDonald’s when you’re sick. Then they took a patient back that came in well after me. They said it was an emergency. This is NOT an ER. That’s the difference between urgent care and ER. What an awful experience. I had my copay reversed and left.

Everyone I interacted with was kind and I received excellent care. I just moved to the area this year so it was such a relief to find an urgent care we can come back to. Huge thanks to everyone at AFC!!!

We visited this AFC after a serious car accident a couple of hours earlier because I started to experience a headache, neck pain, and dizziness. We were then seen by what I can only imagine was a nurse who did a couple of mobility tests on shoulders and then touching our spines and asking a few generic questions. We were then told come back tomorrow if we have any issues...that was it. Seriously.I would say visit at your own risk.

We went in and the PA was a complete dunce. She was rude and you could tell she did not want to help me at all. NO XRAY available and NO Blood test. I wasted $100 for nothing!! She told us she would call in a prescription, that also did not happen. She was not trained and a complete simpleton. This women could not diagnose anything. Avoid this Urgent Care.

Amanda, Peaches and John were fantastic. I went in for staple removal and they quickly realized that some of my staples werent ready to be removed. I truly appreciate the foresight. Peaches did a great job cleaning up my remaining staples. Amanda also refilled a high blood pressure medication for me since its taking so long for me to get into my PCP for my annual physical. Thank you all for a quick and friendly interaction!

Everyone was so friendly; it was indeed a breath of fresh air. Filling out the paperwork online really made for a fast visit once I got there. If I need to revisit urgent care, AFC in Lakewood is the one I’ll be going to.

My visit was wonderful. The staff here helped the process go smoothly for me. Nicole R. walked with me through the check-in process and was there every step of the way to help keep me calm and informed and assist the doctor. Kara C was an excellent physician and did great work to care for my injury as well. Would highly recommend this location. They were even understaffed that day and still I was in and out quickly and efficiently with great service!

Talia at the front desk is the loveliest most welcoming person. Shes a huge asset to your establishment. We saw EMT Lance and PA Amanda and they were just phenomenal with my daughter. The medical service I received was fine. However, be wise on the billing. The quoted me $179 for my visit. When I checked out I asked to pay they said I needed to pay $75 the rest would be billed. They did bill me they are now charging me $170.93. In addition to the $75.00. I do not think that this is fair billing at all.

I scheduled online...2 hours of sitting in the waiting room later. Im giving 2 stars because the PA who saw me was very kind and attentive but that took all of 5 minutes to see me. I scheduled online, showed up on time, and watched as the front desk person took back people who walked in behind me (I know this is the case because I could hear their conversations). I was also quoted by her that I wouldnt have anything to pay with my insurance, however I got my bill yesterday that states otherwise. Not a great way of building business. If you have a primary care doc, Id suggest scheduling with them.

I made an appointment for 10:24 an hour later I am still waiting!!! They told me three people were in front of me but 5 have gone! What is the point in making an appointment if they arent going to honor it. I asked if I could wait on my car but the said I had to wait inside . This place is poorly run.

I don’t understand how you have once doctor in an urgent care. We have been waiting for over an hour and thought we timed our arrival in advance. Once I finally made it in the back rooms I was told to wait and then proceeded to wait another hour. I am going to be late for work and I planned 3 hours ahead of schedule. I will not be coming back here and would recommend the same for others. It was a waste of time.

Shout out to RN Peaches!! She is AWESOME. Very impressed by her kindness and empathy, which really calmed my nerves. I will definitely give her music recommendations a try!Amanda, the NP, was also great! She addressed my concerns and was also very kind and non judgmental.Only criticism is the receptionist (probably new)… maybe don’t tell someone they may need to pay 350 while they are experiencing chest pain…. and check the system for the pt’s insurance info before you try to reject care. Which is also illegal to do.

Im used to having bad experiences at urgent care centers, but this was completely different. In and out without much wait time at all, super friendly front desk and nursing staff, and affordable treatment (even without insurance). I got four stitches and a tetanus shot. Chelsea was very gentle with the novocaine and stitching. Highly recommend this location.

Came to this urgent care after an accident and laceration. I was so nervous but the staff was amazing. I was seen very quickly. They listened to my needs and calmed me down, I was even laughing because Kyle P. was so funny. I really appreciated the overall care and fantastic treatment I got, and at the end of the day no less! Probably one of the best medical experiences Ive ever had. So grateful to all on them!

This clinic is absolutely fantastic! Rebecca and Peaches helped get me checked in and even answered some of my questions, which was really nice. Megan then treated my issue quickly and competently, and she was extremely kind the entire time. While I cant exactly say I hope to be back soon, I can definitely say that if I have to go anywhere for something medical, Ill be going here.

Brought my friend here and not only did they allow me to go back with her for emotional support, but everyone was extremely kind, patient, and understanding. She had to get some blood drawn and the people who helped were awesome! Nick was so kind and Nicole R was hilarious and efficient. Im glad the staff here is so amazing, it made the scary situation much easier to handle!!

Had an appointment, went in and was put in a room for one hour. In that hour not one single person came into tell me what was going on. I finally went out and asked and the MA who clearly hated her job and was already annoyed that I had wanted her attention for a minute says to me the nurse is doing stitches and I dont know how long shell be thats it! I then gathered my things and left. I will never return to this location again. I was already in pain and trying to seek medical attention but got rude, unprofessional attention instead except it wasnt attention at all. Very disappointed. Bad business.

Stay away from this urgent care!!! My wife made an appointment early in the day to get seen at 524PM originally. This way it gave us time to go there after work. She received a text message stating it would be pushed to 620 PM. We went out to eat and than go to check in. Once we pulled into the parking lot she receives a text message saying it would be pushed to 7PM. This was at 6:05PM, we got there early to check in and the recommended time is to show up 10 minutes early. We were okay with that, this is where our experience goes downhill. We went in and there was 2 people in front of us. They were greeted and helped out. When it was our turn the receptionist who was a blonde/light brown hair female right away told us”we have to wait because she has to check people in” no greeting no apologies just basically blowing us off. We waited 10 minutes and she didn’t once even let us know how long it will take. Nothing just simply acting like we didn’t exist. The strange thing is the people she helped out with no issue and was very courteous to had lighter skin tone than us. We feel there was a hidden bias on why we weren’t help and were very rude to. We left and cancel the appointment, this is very unacceptable and we’re never going to another AFC again!!! Not only did we waste our time, were treated like we didn’t exist but potentially discriminated against!!! NEVER AGAIN!Thank you so much for the response. It assures us we’re wrong for how we felt and you didn’t bother to understand what happened and take accountability. Furthermore this lets us know what type of management this practice has. We hope the best for you and want to let you know another provider saw us on time of our appointment and was very courteous and friendly!!! No issues at all, Happy Holidays!!!

Honestly, everyone was great. The two at the front desk were personable, delightful, very helpful, and made us feel at home. Peaches was wonderful! So kind and gentle. Doctor was great. Checked us over and recommended going for the PCR to just make sure we absolutely were Covid-free.

Terrible. Not friendly nor very knowledgeable. The only good part about this urgent care is Talia (almost positive that is her name, she’s super pretty with long braided hair) she is the friendliest sweetest human being ever and made my experience so much better.

Melanie took great care of me. Hallee checked me in. She was very nice and very thorough. Danny was very knowledgeable and kind. I loved the video in the waiting room of cute animals. I didnt mind waiting and did not have to wait very long. Overall a very pleasant experience.

My family and I are new to this area and in the last month I needed to take my kiddos in to get checked out. On both occasions my experience was wonderful! The staff was excellent! I came in to have my ankle checked out after tweaking it. The people at the front were helpful and friendly, the wait time was pretty short and the care I received from the staff was fantastic. Everything was thoroughly checked and explained to me. Then they fitted me with a brace that has helped a ton. I highly recommend this clinic.

Staff was excellent. My wife and I needed COVID testing for travel, we made appointments well in advance over the phone. Every staff member who helped us was friendly, knowledgeable and did all they could to make our experience a good one. It must be an incredibly difficult time to provide this service. Im sure they are swamped from open to close but they never showed it. Very frustrated with my last visit … I have visited this urgent care multiple times and have always had a good experience, but I am disappointed with my most recent visit. I came in with swollen tonsils, swollen lymph nodes in my neck, body aches, difficulty swallowing, etc. I was tested for strep, mono, and Covid and all tests came back negative. I was prescribed a mouth rinse to help with the pain and was sent home. I was told to come back if my symptoms got worse, which I already was in so much pain so I am not sure if they could get any worse. Fast forward 7 hours later I was still in the same amount of pain so I went to an ER because I was so dehydrated from the lack of fluids. The doctor took one look at my throat and stated that I 100% had strep throat. Gave me the correct care I needed and prescribed antibiotics.I am just confused and frustrated on how someone could dismiss the amount of pain I was in and send them on their way with zero help. I don’t think I will be returning any time soon.

I had a wonderful visit to AFC Urgent Care Lakewood today. It all started with a warm greeting from Rebecca at the front desk. From there, Peaches took over, took vitals and told me about her grandkids. (I am a recent grandfather) I was then checked out by Kara who showed genuine concern for my condition and quickly prescribed a breathing treatment to open up my lungs. The proper diagnosis then came back quickly from the tests that were run and I was on my way. Thank you again AFC Lakewood

The staff was wonderful and the doctor was so personable and nice! We went there for a pre Hawaii travel Covid test and the doctor we saw used to live in Hawaii so we had a great conversation. We had to wait a bit, but it was no fault to the staff as they were short staffed. They were very apologetic but we didnt mind and completely understood the situation. I highly recommend AFC Lakewood, we received our results in 20 minutes and very affordable!

Youre the only urgent care I go to because I feel listened to, comfortable, and just knowing that the entire staff from the first person you talk to to the last person is just absolutely genuine and awesome. I always tell people to go to your practice. I feel like everyone is also very trusting and nonjudgmental (which in a lot of places I experienced, I never felt that way). And I always leave feeling better and having an ANSWER. You still say to follow up with the primary doctor but 10/10 you guys have been correct if not better. If I could make your office my primary doctors I would in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for taking care of me on many occasions; from minor to maybe not so minor. Youre all the greatest keep up the great work!

Every person I encountered today was professional and polite. The clinic is clean and very well kept. I was seen within 15 minutes. The Dr I met with had personality and asked thorough questions. I brought my son here in January and had a great experience then also. This is definitely our go to place for Urgent Care when my primary care physicians office is closed.

Recently we were at this clinic couple times and staff were extremely helpful. Me and my wife got covid in January, went to the clinic because of terrible headache. They were professional and courteous, helped us and now we are fine. Came back today, just to do tests (going for short vacation oversees). Amber, Lance, Aaron and Alicia - great people!

Rude liars with no concept of bedside manner. Dont go there. When they try to screw you on the billing, the third party company they use will be abusive when you try to resolve their mistakes. Wish 0 stars was an option.

Assisted by: Nicole R.I went in to this facility with a more difficult request - seeing if I could get paperwork filled out for an international visa. This is something that other locations have flat out said “No” to even looking at because it can take more time to decipher. Nicole took the time to review all of the documents, let me know exactly what was needed when I came back to see the Doctor, and fit us in to get this completed as quickly as possible. It was great to finally have amazing service, and it means so much that everyone within the facility cared about completing these documents and tests thoroughly. It is super appreciated!!

Needed a covid test on very short notice to travel to Canada the following morning and Chelsea, Nicole and Carina were so helpful in getting me booked, and even accommodating me when I was able to show up a few hours early. All of the staff were super friendly, the test was administered quickly, and the paperwork was perfect for my needs. Highly recommended.

So, I had to take my child in for a covid test today 1-27-22 and the staff there are just awesome! Yes, they were short staffed causing delays but they kept in constant communication with everyone there about the length of time and so on.Once we got in, Nicole R, our triage nurse was simply AMAZING! She went above and beyond to make us laugh and smile to take the edge off of having to wait so long. She is definitely a pleasantly wonderful young lady and we plan to use this Facilty if we have to go to urgent care in the future.

Lovely staff, nice facility. Easy check in process. It would have been nice to be updated on wait time. 45 minutes past my appointment time I was taken. Medical assistant was super nice and apologised for the long wait. Explained staff shortage was reason for the wait time. I work in health care and always check in and let clients know if there is a delay and why. Would not stop me from going back. Everyone was very nice.

Arrived as a walk-in to see about my 10 year old son’s cough and sore throat. The entire staff was so friendly and professional throughout the visit, and frankly it was a pleasant surprise. Of course not that anyone wants to find themselves at an urgent care but, should you have to, this location seems to be staffed by fantastic healthcare workers.

My family has had to come to this urgent care multiple times in the last couple of weeks for Covid testing and we’ve had the best experience! I came with 3 kids under 10 in tow, sick as a dog with Covid and Nicole R was amazing! They were nervous but she engaged them in a super friendly way, made it easy to take their vitals and they even talked about her when we left because they liked her so much! When I had to come back over a week later, Nicole greeted me just as kindly as before and even remembered my family and I and the circumstances around our last visit! Def recommend!

Kara took great care of me and made me feel better about my situation! She has a very calming effect. The waiting area is one of the nicest Ive ever seen in a UC... I felt very calm going into my appointment. And the ladies in the front were so knowledgeable and helpful and kind.

Everyone here is amazing. From the moment I walked in the door through my appointment. Really helpful and kind when you need urgent care.

The staff was so friendly! I came in for ankle pain that turned out be only slightly worse than I thought. I was comfortable knowing that I was in good hands!! Thank you guys for making an otherwise unpleasant experience significantly easier!I limped in, and more stably walked out. Thank you!!

I scheduled my appointment at 12pm, but was seen only at 12:50. The technician who assisted me, Taylor R., was extremely rude and unprofessional. She didnt even come to the waiting area to take me to the room, she simply yelled my name as loud as she can from the room down the hall, where she was going to process me. I had to find her on my own! Ive never had this happen before.The whole time, she talked to me with annoyance in her voice, like i was taking her time away from something important. At the end, Taylor provided me with instructions that violated my privacy rights. She told me to inform my HR department that I have a prescription meds that will show on my test results. My HR department was shocked about this suggestion, they said that they dont need to have this information, its only for the lab technicians.

Five stars because Rebecca has a great attitude. Its nice to always see Rebecca smile while shes doing her job. Shes very attentive to the patients needs and to her job duties. I appreciate her time and efforts. I hope her attitude doesnt go unnoticed and she moves up! ☺️

The staff was very professional and genuinely cared about my well being. I went in with a bad infection on my forehead, needing antibiotics and the infection drained, I went through the worse physical pain I have ever felt in my life, I have never cried like that in front of strangers, Amanda, Joe and the staff members were concerned, thoughtful and kind throughout the whole procedure. Im still healing up, I feel so much better today. I am so thankful for Amanda, Joe and the rest of the AFC Urgent Care Lakewood staff.

This is the best Urgent Care I have visited. First of all the place is nicely decorated and clean. The staff was professional and friendly and the service was quick but thorough. Another nice touch was the TV in the examine room...helps keep your mind occupied while you wait. Overall a great experience!

Quick, easy, and lovely! I was able to get in quickly and be seen for a rapid PCR test for travel. Rebecca at the front desk was lovely in providing information necessary upfront so I was not surprised. Peaches assisted in my nose swab and she mad the process so carefree and smooth. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic walk-in spot. Front desk was helpful and friendly, doctor was on time and smart. I had been sick for about a month when I came in and was promptly prescribed a few different meds that had me back on my feet in days.Thank you!

Everyone at the office was wonderful. I had to take my daughter into an Urgent Care for a softball injury and there was no appointments available online. I called the office directly to see if they had any availability and they told me to come right away. They got her right in, gave her a Gatorade to make her feel better and took care of her. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. Im so thankful they got us in that day. Thank you Lakewood AFC Urgent Care!

If this Urgent Care could get more than five stars I would definitely give it more! Had a great experience from entering the door and leaving. Nicole R went above and beyond helping me with everything needed to have a spectacular experience.

The staff was friendly. We got there at 7:45 pm they got us right in. Dr. Tom did a great job. He took the time to treat us and answered all of our questions and didnt rush us out being after hours at that point. If we need urgent care again well definitely be back. Highly recommend.

I made an appointment and was able to be in and out within 30 minutes of my appointment time. I realize some issues are more complicated, and require more time. Staff was friendly and accommodating!

From the first moment I arrived I can say that everything about my visit to AFC was exceptional. The receptionist was helpful and warmly welcomed me. The waiting room is attractive and made me feel cozy and comfortable. I was not feeling very good that day and felt compassion from the gentleman who was my physicians assistant. However the main reason why I would recommend AFC was Dr. Salter. He was the doctor on duty and I cannot say enough about his care and concern for me. He took the time to advise me on how to better take care of myself and prescribed meds that have already allowed me to feel back to my old self.

My family cannot say enough about AFC Urgent Care Lakewood. They are kind compassionate and competent in all they do. We live fairly far from this location, however, this is our preferred care provider for all of our urgent care needs. Amber is gifted as an office manager, Joe and Nic are outstanding technicians and Sarah is top notch for care delivery and medical knowledge. We couldnt be happier with the care weve received here.

I’m from out of state (Ohio) and I flew in and had extremely bad pain in my left ear. I came in and they were quick, explained things to me (since I just turned 18 a couple months ago and all of that). They were super quick with my diagnosis, the doctor was funny. The women up front were patient with me as I switched my payment method. Overall a really great place that treats people fairly, with a short/no wait.

100% the place to go. Not only is it close but I waited less then 10min and the staff is awesome. Crystal was lovely and made me laugh. Dr. Paul got right to the heart if my issue and made me feel a million times better. Mars was fantastic! What a cool persons to have on staff. They all took great care of me. I was scared and didnt know what was wrong and it was quickly taken care of, they were great! I was feeling better even before I left the building. Also, the atmosphere is very homely and comfortable with warm colors, tvs in every room and doesnt at all feel cold or clinical, but still feels clean and well organized. Thanks for being awesome.

Amazing staff! Everyone was so kind and caring. They really took the time to solve my medical issue. I couldn’t have had a better team to help me heal. I’d recommend this place to any family and friends. Highly recommend!

10/10. The entire staff was so nice and helpful and made me feel so comfortable. Since moving to Colorado I havent found myself in need of a doctor so I was kind of nervous coming into one on my own for the first time in a while. The entire facility seemed really welcoming. Free coffee and water, a childrens area, Fixer Upper playing in the lobby and the exam rooms. The lady at the front desk was very nice, joked with me a little. My doctors were very informative and made me feel totally comfortable. They told me everything they were doing and what was happening and about the machines and stuff they used on me. Even made sure I understood everything okay. Gave me a nice doctors note for work. Wont be going anywhere else from now on. Really like this place.

The whole staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The clinic is clean, warm and has several amenities while you wait but they were so efficient I didnt even have time to make my tea. (Which is a good thing because I was seen immediately after checking in.)The nurse was kind enough to make my tea and bring it to me. So I would say they went above and beyond during my visit.

If you are looking for a quick rapid test where you just pull up get the test done and go on your way, this is not the place. The staff was fine, I understand that they are short staffed. The office visit took about 1 hour and 20 min for the entire process so be prepared. This location has different policies, if you want a thorough check and have the time then this is definitely the spot. I have been to two other AFC Urgent care locations and the process for COVID testing was to pull up, text that your outside, get tested in your car and you head home with a phone call /follow up email with results. I removed a star because it would be nice if the scheduling website would for warn you of the process for this location prior to scheduling… I would have went to a different location for the services that I was needing due to work time constraints.

Wouldnt see me because their website wouldnt accept my photos of my insurance card.I have been here before with good luck but this time I came in after making a reservation online and they would not see me because I couldnt get the online registration to accept the photos of my insurance card. I asked if I could just show her my ID and insurance card and she said no, its online only. So I left with a swollen infected foot because they cant even be bothered look at a piece of paper in person. Absolutely ridiculous. Dont bother going here if your phone is dead or you dont have/cant get photos of your ID or insurance card.

Allie is awesome! The place we thought could give us a COVID rapid test was all out of them. So we came to AFC Lakewood. They didnt have any openings but Allie spent about 20 minutes calling place after place to find us a site that could test us. It was great that she did that--we could only stay with family if we had our test results. Without her Im not sure where we would have stayed! Great customer care!

I’ve been here many times and it used to be awesome, especially at the beginning of the pandemic. Sadly, the past 2-3 times have been really rough and I won’t be coming back.The “highlights”:1. I was told I was in medical debt and was told I’d been sent to “collections” yet never received notice by mail/phone. I called the number they gave me and it was a 1-question survey...2. I was waiting for 2 hours. In that time, my roommate just happen to have an appointment scheduled 30 mins after mine and she was in and out before I was taken back.3. After waiting for literal hours, I was simply told to take cough drops and a shower... thanks?... for contributing to my medical debt 🙃

I’ve been here twice for popup ailments. The staff was friendly and courteous. Both times I left with a resolution, and felt like they were trying to help me within their capabilities.

I was checked in quickly with friendly staff at the front desk. She was clearly multitasking and doing a fantastic job. There was a line out the door by the time I was called back and she continued to work quickly and with grace.A little Bob Ross in the waiting room probably helped the atmosphere.Practitioner listened to my needs and took care of me.

I never leave negative reviews, but this place was a nightmare. The nurses didnt check the charts properly, so when they called my name, an older gentleman went back, and they didnt verify his name or date of birth. They put all of his information into my chart. I was the only one in the waiting room after he left, and that nurse came back into the waiting room and called his name. She sat down for a minute and then the staff called the man to see why he hadnt shown up, and I was completely ignored until I told them that I had been waiting 45 minutes and gave them my name.They finally brought me back, and the nurse was rushing. She made a rude comment about the medications I take and told me that she usually uses a manual blood pressure checker (but that things got messed up...) when I told her that it was way too tight on my arm and it was hurting me.When I was brought into the room, another nurse was incredibly rude and made me feel like I was wasting her time before even assessing me. The assessment was maybe three minutes long, and she cleared me to leave.I understand making minor mistakes, but this wasnt a small error, and the way I was treated was so awful that I cant sweep it under the rug.Wildly unprofessional. I actually cannot believe that this happened.

Rebecca, Tahlia, Taylor were so nice! Rebecca was working the front desk. Rebecca was pleasant and helpful with everyone, eventhough the clinic was completely slammed! I could see the MAs working so diligently to see everyone and to quickly get people seen by the Doctor. Thank you to the team that is working today 12/19/2022 without Healthcare workers like you life would be very different, I appreciate you all!

Horrible I went in yesterday because I was having some sinus and chest issues and the Dr didnt even care to check me out just told me to blow my nose in the shower and that was pretty much all he could do. I ended up going straight to the hospital after because I was just having so much issues breathing and was in pain. Just to find out I had pneumonia. My brother also came in a week earlier because he was suffering from a swollen foot and they also did nothing.The staff was wonderful but the Dr was horrible they need a new one. I usually go to the AFC Urgent Care on Speer thats the best one Ive ever been too.

Absolute joke. If you have anything more complicated than a cold they’ll tell you to take OTC meds and speak to a specialist. Embarrassing to get your NP degree and then defer everything to specialists who actually committed to medical school. Was given a 2 minute exam by the NP who then got incredibly offended when I inquired about a refund for not helping. The EMT had more knowledge and insightful information than the NP. Disgraceful treatment. Director of Operations also refused to refund the 2 minute doctor’s visit after waiting 2 hours because technically “the NP did a medical examination.” Congrats your NP’s medical examination consists of the EMT taking vitals for them and reading the chart. The entire point of urgent care is to get advice without waiting 3 months for a specialization doctor to see a new patient. Highly advise going literally anywhere else. A random person walking down the street is capable of giving a more thorough exam.

The staff here are absolutely amazing. They are quick and efficient, and make you feel cared for. I would highly recommend this place for all your urgent care needs.Shout out to Nic who went out of his way to make my visit outstanding! Even for a routine (and boring) drug test, he was very kind and even gave me a gatorade (glacier cherry to be exact)! Thanks for being awesome, Nic! Keep on slaying!

Went in for an imigration medical and the entire process was meticulous. The team is awesome, right from the front desk lady to Dr. O. And special shout out to Michele and Lance! They know immigration medicals inside out.

Fantastic in every aspect! We needed a physical for our daughter done quickly. They were able to accommodate and on top of that had a team of exceptionally nice people! Thank you all!

The staff here are awesome. Only one page of paperwork to fill out. The receptionist actually took the time to check to see if my insurance was accepted. They did a great job putting stitches in my wife’s hand. Not the closest place to where I live but I would be more than willing to make the drive any time we have a medical emergency. 11/10

I’ve been coming to this urgent care for the past year for Covid-19 tests. The staff is always wonderful and super helpful, clean facility, and good communication. Shout out to Nicole and Kyle for keeping things light hearted in a tough time. You may have a wait a bit but they’re working hard to keep our community safe.

Got heavy cold symptoms right before the holiday weekend. Nowhere had COVID home kits or appointments. I managed to get a last minute appointment here and in the meanwhile the staff answered lots of questions for me and were very helpful about alternate options for COVID testing for the evening. They warned me it could be a very long wait, however, fit me in within what I consider extremely fast timing. Nicole and Kyle were very kind, empathetic, and professional. This was my first time using an urgent care, and I feel that this location could not be doing a better job, especially considering the stress of the rush before the holiday.

Had a walk in visit today at AFC. All the EMTs, nurses and doctors were all so friendly and helpful. They all genuinely seemed concerned about me getting better. Nicole R. Really went out of her way to give me all in the info I needed, she was really great.

I was very pleased with how smooth the check in process was, how attentive and cheerful the entire staff was and how thorough the practitioners were. I felt like I was in very knowledgeable, caring hands from start to finish that made an unpleasant and uncomfortable situation on my part so much better because of the wonderful experience I had, care I had recieved. I think this is a true testament to how things work there because it seemed to be very very busy and a very poor weather day. I will be returning for that kind of wonderful service if the need arises.

Scheduled an appointment. Waited over an hour and a half until they saw numerous patients before us, who arrived after! Staff is nice but you have to wait forever. With absolutely no communication. You text the number they give you and it just automates your waiting time for when you text. If you cannot be in the building to get tested while other patients are in there then why do you set an appointment? Why dont you have a separate place for testing?! The inconvenience you are causing people is beyond ridiculous!

I have seen Dr. Boss at this Urgent Care twice and both times she was amazing. She is knowledgeable and compassionate. She answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. She accurately identified my issues and gave me effective treatment suggestions and medicines. She also prescribed an antiviral for my husband so his early flu symptoms wouldnt worsen. The staff is kind here and the wait was no more than 15 minutes.

First the good and why Im giving it 4 stars. Rebecca, Tablia and Megan were all terrific, competent and friendly.Now the bad. Years ago when I was there las in 2017,, alarms were situated outside each exam room and they would go off every 15 minutes, apparently to help keep the staff moving promptly. I remember thinking, Now thats a really stupid idea; its driving patients and staff nuts. They are now gone, gone, gone.Now in 2022, another dumb idea from management. On the web site AFC gives you the option to approximately schedule a time certain. So I scheduled 1:00 PM, arrived at 1:00 PM and saw a provider at 2:45 PM. My advice; dont promise things you cant deliver. There is also a feature where they will text you when its actually about time for your real appointment. No option for a phone call for those who dont have a cell phone. Yikes!

Chelsea, NP, was awesome and helped me a lot with all the things I needed done and detailed instructions and given references for other needs, even googled and checked what providers I would need outside urgent care that took Medicaid. Very kind and easy to talk to. Give this woman a raise !

Amanda and Rebecca were incredibly kind and caring. I was seen at another UC a week prior. My experience was cold and unprofessional. Im so glad there is a UC with a warm and welcoming staff. So much so that I returned the next day with my spouse to have her screen. Its truly wonderful to know theres a UC with a staff that cares and treats their patients well.Thank you again Amanda and Rebecca

Came into urgent care in need of immediate medical attention, but ran into a problem with my insurance. Rebecca was so helpful and went above and beyond to help resolve the insurance issue. Really impressed with the entire team!

I always visit this location not because its so close to me but the staff is always professional, friendly & great! My recent visit was yesterday & I wanted to give the whole team a shout since they were again so helpful; so thank you to Joe, Jennifer, Melanie, Peaches & Lance. Im glad to have an urgent care with great staff that I can always depend on!
