I felt like the staff here make an effort to CONNECT with you. I felt like a real person that they cared about and wanted to help. They were knowledgeable, gentle, thorough, kind and warm hearted! When youre not feeling well, you want to feel sincerely cared for and thats how I felt at this office.I hope other medical offices are inspired to follow this lead in creating this kind of experience for their patients. Check in with Tony was a quick, easy, reasonably priced and friendly.We saw a nurse practitioner, Lori, within a few mins after check in. She was friendly and informative.Will definitely be back when the need arises.

Daryl and the other employees at this location are excellent! The service was great, and Daryl is an excellent doctor that is friendly and knowledgeable. He is exactly the kind of doctor you want to see for your general urgent care needs. I went at 9am and I was the only one there at that time, so if you can go early I also recommend that.Thank you to everyone! 😊

They were polite, friendly and efficient. Didn’t have to wait around. They called in my prescription and by the time I drove over to pick it up (about 20 min.) it was ready.

Process of scheduling from my phone while still at home in bed was convenient and seamless. After I arrived, wait time was minimal. Facility was squeaky clean. Front desk, medical assistant and Nurse Practitioner were all pleasant, attentive and professional. Overall good experience, despite feeling sick.

Briana MA, Laura APRN, Yvonne receptionist were so good to me. I have had such a horrible time trying to find care being uninsured currently, it’s like pulling teeth. I came in there so anxious and overwhelmed and left with resolution and relief. I genuinely don’t like going anywhere else for care because they are consistent with quality care from the waiting room to the end of treatment. Thanks ladies!

Horrible experience! $100 for a 2-minute doctor visit, I had made an appointment for 8:10, but the doctor didnt get to the office till 8:30, I finally was seeing at 8:40 till 8:42 and waited again till discharge. It’s an urgent care, if the place was busy I understand you have to wait and I would NOT mind, but the way they conducted themself. No one is here, treat your patient the right way! I waited another 20+ minutes to get discharged. So, the moral of this story. Go somewhere else! Dont waste your time or your money.

Amazing and effective staff. Probably one of the best experiences I’ve had at a health facility. Megan, Bianca and Britney, thank you personally for being empathetic and understanding. It’s people like you who truly make going to the doctor not so freakin bad.

NP Kara was very helpful and professional while assessing me and sent me on my way feeling hopeful for a quick recovery. The staff from welcome to goodbye was amazing.

It’s good to have this AFC urgent care here in Dunedin. Very close to home for small emergencies. The office was clean, well-maintained and the staff was also. Wait time was minimal to Get treatment.

I called ahead of time and was met with kindness immediately. From the moment I walked in the door the staff was quick and took great care of me. Bianca the MA was welcoming and eased my nerves as she took my vitals. Pamela the ARRN went above and beyond listening to me thoroughly before explaining what needed to be done and how she planned to take care of me. She asked permission each time she needed to do anything and I left so relieved and satisfied!! I would never of expected to walk out of a medical office in such a good mood :) what lovely people

Absolutely the best urgent care in the area! Prices are listed on a big sign by the desk which I REALLY appreciate and are very competitive with other urgent cares. The nurses and doctor were some of the best Ive had, extremely nice, attentive, and knowledgeable. I didnt feel rushed, she answered all my questions and prescribed me meds that are actually helping! It was truly a wonderful experience even with how sick I was feeling.

What a pleasant surprise. Very clean, professional place with highly personable staff. Everything I needed was taken care of. Went through the process seamlessly. Didnt even mind when I got the shot and on my way to pick up prescribed meds. Voila and Bam! Grateful! A business as it should be. So glad its there at such an easy location. Thank you.

Came in with lower right abdominal pain. An urinalysis was the only test ordered. No visual scans were performed or ordered. I told the PA that I had an adverse reaction to the medication he prescribed; he told me to take it with food, even though I already had. He did not offer any alternative medications that would not cause a reaction. When asked about my bowel habits, I explained various concerning symptoms. He then proceeded to say sounds like your bowel habits are normal after i had just explained that they had changed. No treatment plan was established. No follow-up procedures were given. It was the worst urgent care experience I have ever had. I felt unheard and not helped. I left with more questions than answers.Edited to add that the triage nurse was very helpful and attentive. She listened to my concerns and took notes on my medical history.

Everyone was excellent! They were cordial, extremely knowledgeable and really helped me. Highly recommend.

Excellent experience at AFC Dunedin, friendly and competent staff, very short wait, clean lobby and exam rooms. I’d highly recommend if you are need of urgent care services. As someone who was there visiting on vacation the last thing you want is to get sick enough to need urgent care however I’m glad these folks were close and fixed me up so I could enjoy the rest of my trip.

This is our 2nd time being treated at this AFC Urgent Care off Main Street in Dunedin, FL. Absolutely amazing staff and Doctor’s. Bianca MA is always friendly and respectful. Overall, they are friendly, clean, caring for their patients, accurate and very quick to get you in and out.Thank you for always taking care of my family. You guys rock!!!

Everyone at this facility was excellent. The entire staff was so understanding and great. Bianca was kind and had a gentle touch with the injections I needed. The PA, Lori Kelvy, helped me so much with my pain and came up with a game plan on what to do next. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

Had the wonderful experience of being helped by Bianca over the phone; she also greeted me when I walked in. Already being miserable out of my mind, she exercised her expertise by teaching me about my own insurance and getting me the help I needed expeditiously. I’ll be much more likely to visit AFC now vice suffering until I can get to my primary now that I know I have convenient, affordable coverage and the staff is super helpful. Thanks AFC Dunedin!

Everyone was kind, friendly, and so helpful. I truly appreciate everyone from the front desk lady, to the lady who took vitals, to the actual Dr. It was so hard to get an urgent that took simply insurance. So I truly appreciate afc for seeing us today. Its a new location and I was so impressed with the wonderful attitude of everyone and how clean the office was. I will definitely be back if needed and will recommend to anyone in need of an excellent urgent care.

I couldn’t be any more satisfied and happy with going to this urgent care. I want to say firstly, I never write reviews, but I feel in a society that’s truly crumbling that when someone goes out of their way, they should be noticed. The ease of the online registration was so simplistic from the front desk to the medical tech to the nurse practitioner. They were all equally wonderful. They even went out of their way to give me a RX card because they told me the medicine I was going to be picking up was more expensive with insurance. If I lived in Florida, which I do not, I would probably not go to my primary care physician and I would only go to this urgent care, that’s how wonderful this entire office was. Thank you so much for being so caring and so kind And truly caring about your patience and being so thorough. I truly appreciate you all.!!

I came into the clinic with severe abdominal pain that had been persisting for days and restricted any physical movement. I was seen by Darrell Hopps who was patronizing, unprofessional, and unsympathetic during the few minutes he examined me—even joking about it to my husband. He reduced my pain to normal cramps and wanted to give me an injection for the pain. After my husband insisted something else has to be wrong, he offered to refer me for a scan at another facility (that could see us within 2 weeks). I refused the injection and immediately sought care elsewhere, and I am very thankful that I did because the cause of the pain ended up being much more serious than normal cramps.

They were spectacular. All of them!! Fast. Very kind. Super funny. Super clear. Very helpful. My mom already feels a lot better

I needed urgent care for a rusty metal roofing nail puncture wound (which was embedded in my birkenstock to foot which i removed at home )As an NP myself, i know what is required and this group is awesome!There was no wait time, just customary /basic consent paperworkThen Triaged and treatement planMy anxiety was epic - my clinical mind rabbit hole and the nurses and NP we all so tuned in and fun which shifted my defcon 4 anxiety to ok we got thisI appreciate their work vibe, teamwork, attention to detail and to the patient , me.If only more healthcare facilities and teams were able to provide a chill setting and care, we would all be better faster.thanks AFC Dunedin

I had to stop in today, and this place was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the NP was very helpful. Oh, and they had fun nature videos playing in the room, so it was kind of calming too.

The nurse practitioner was so helpful ! She really cares, listened to me and because of her, I am feeling a lot better. She was not scared to treat my sinus symptoms and prescribe for me. Being out of state, I felt I was in caring, experienced, medical hands and couldnt be more happy!! Im home in Boston now continuing to feel great! Tk you so much for everything And getting me back to wellness! With much gratitude!

We have brought our 4 year old here twice and they have been wonderful both times. It’s easy to make an appointment online, and they’re very timely. Everyone from front desk, to triage, to the providers have been great and compassionate. Highly recommend.

I’m sure it’s a fam business just trying there best and the front desk was super nice, but the doctor didn’t care to ask enough questions so i went home with a sinus infection diagnosis just for my bronchitis, which is what I actually had, to continue worsening. As someone with asthma that’s not very fun. I ended up going back 3 days later to get the right meds and was told the fee will be waived. Now i’ve been fighting with billing for 5 months because they keep trying to charge me for that second visit

They will refuse to see you for multiple (2) issues. Dont waste your time, go to baycare urgent.

Everyone was very courteous and professional. I was in and out in about a half hour with a diagnoses. I would definitely reccomend this over the ER if not a life threatening situation. The cost was very reasonable also. Thank you team AFC.

My mom had to take my daughter to AFC while she was visiting her. I called ahead of time and sent them my driver license and an email stating it was ok for my mom to take her there and there was no issue. Everyone was super friendly and they were in and out relatively quick! They even gave my daughter an antler headband and she was so happy!! Would definitely go there again if we needed to while visiting!

This place is absolutely amazing....All the staff was extremely friendly and saw me very quickly....After my unacceptable primary doctors office refused to see me today...I was in serious discomfort with my diverticulitis and fever...Urgent Care provider wrote me a script for an antibiotic, which was all I needed....I will definitely be back and recommend to everyone...Im in search of a new primary DR if anyone has ideas...BayCare is simply garbage they wouldnt see me 2 weeks

Every person we interacted with was polite and professional. I even saw the receptionist put on a Disney movie for a restless child in the waiting room. Great experience.

I’ve been going to the AFC in Clearwater for years now and have mostly had great experiences, but today found that they are closed down. I had to find another one due to AFC being one of the only clinics near me that take my insurance and LET ME TELL YOU everything from the phone call, to when I got there, to leaving was an amazing and smooth experience. ALL of the staff was so nice and comforting and they had me in and out quicker than I’ve ever experienced at any other urgent clinic. I will be recommending this location to all my friends and family. Thank you all so much for your hard work and effort you put in to make sure everyone feels good when they come and leave here!!

Friendly staff! Check-in process was easy and went smoothly. I didnt have my forms printed out and they allowed me to send them to their email address. That was very nice and super convenient!! I highly recommend AFC to others!!

Lori K - NP was flawless. She was professional and so very kind during a frightening time of shortness of breath. I was scared and she soothed my nerves. I can breathe much better, and I havent even left yet. I have pneumonia.

I was there this week because I suspected I had bronchitis. After my examination it was determined I did have bronchitis. In fact it was worse than I suspected so glad I went. Pamela was excellent. Everybody I encountered was. Rather than using antibiotics I was given a different course of meds that are working well. So thank you for your help. I am on the mend.

I was able to get treatment in a reasonable amount of time. The staff was professional. AFC Urgent Care Dunedin located on Main Street/580 is a clean newer looking facility. Will use there service in the future if need be.

Long story short, chose this location because they advertised xray services which is exactly what I needed. Called from work at 2pm on Friday the 12th to verify xray capabilities and to make an appointment, again FOR XRAYS.Showed up after work and after filling out paperwork and paying the $80 copay, they finally took me back to exam. It was at this point that I was notified that they couldnt do the xrays I needed and instead gave me a referral to another local imaging clinic. After checking, verifying and checking AGAIN, that they could do xrays today I was very upset that they took My copay BEFORE telling me there wouldnt be any xrays done there. Very shady business practices, taking advantage of someone who clearly needed medical attention. Just for my $80 copay.Also, without any diagnosis on what my condition was they gave me an NSAID shot and a steroid shot. They then used the fact that they had administered those two shots so they would not refund my copay. I was deceived into believing that xrays would be done only to have the rug pulled out from underneath me. Now I have to go to ANOTHER clinic, and pay ANOTHER copay, just to get the xrays I so badly need.Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend anyone go here if they need serious medical attention. These people do not care about anything but money.

Thank you for providing excellent care. Not only was my blood pressure addressed, but my fever, ear pain, and nausea were taken care of by sending in prescriptions for me. This clinic provided far superior health care than the dunedin emergency room doctor. Yahoo for nurse practitioners and nurses and all who work at your clinic.

Went in for basic medical treatment, was informed very well within my discharge paperwork and by a professional Medical Assistant/EMT. Scripts were electronically sent to my preferred pharmacy and were able to be picked up before I even arrived at Walgreens! Will be recommending AFC to all of my friends and family. Five stars!

Incredible hospitality from every staff member I saw. With no insurance, its hard to find a good place to get medical care and still be respected, I finally found that place! Everyone was so welcoming and extremely knowledgeable and I would recommend this place to anyone.

This is one of the best urgent care offices. The staff is helpful, warm, patient and friendly all the way from the front desk staff, medical assistants to the provider.

Terrible customer service! My 5 year old daughter fell at her aftercare program and broke her wrist. I called ahead of time and asked them if they do x-ray. The lady on the phone said yes and I asked her to make sure the tech didn’t leave as we were THREE mins away. The lady assured me they would let the tech know and would make sure the person stayed. I showed up went to the desk and told them I was the one that just called about the x-ray for my daughters wrist (I am a nurse, so I knew she had a fracture based on swelling, and inability to move her hand) my daughter was screaming in pain, got half way through the paperwork, and the lady came from around the desk and say “what are you here for?” I explained AGAIN and she says “oh well the tech already left, so you’ll have to go somewhere else.” Mind you my 5 year old daughter is screaming and crying in pain. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. They could have just said the tech is getting ready to leave (even though I called ahead and was THREE mins away) and I would have went somewhere else, but instead they wasted my time and prolonged my daughters pain. Don’t bother with this place if you are actually hurt or need immediate attention.

The receptionist, Bianca, was an angel this am. She took the time to call my insurance to verify coverage when other AFC locations have told me they don’t accept my coverage. She went over and beyond to help and I greatly appreciate her! The D(I think Dr Martin) and RN were great too! Listened to my ailments and prescribed what I needed! Thank you!

Save yourself time and do not visit this place. I have had 2 visits (scheduled so they know the reason I am coming) and both times they have sent me to another location 30+ minutes away. Why the hell are you even accepting appts if you cant give an xray for an Injury appt or a drug test for a drug screen appt?Drive in the opposite direction of this location.The small wait time is so short because they actually dont offer any services I guess...No complaints about the people in the office. They are very nice.

I went to AFC Dunedin for the first time today. The receptionist was lovely and helpful, and the entire staff made me feel truly cared for. Thank you AFC. I will definitely return for urgent needs.

I had a great experience at this location even when not feeling well. Everyone was very respectful that I came in contact with and very kind. It is very clean and they are quick to get you what you need.

Just got off the phone with Shanda, extremely unprofessional. She didn’t like the survey I filled out and called me for a confrontation. Cutting me off when I tried to speak so much to the point where I had to be stern and tell her to stop talking over me.I visited an ER on Monday and was diagnosed with a middle ear infection. I was feeling worse so I went to AFC on Wednesday. Their website says they have doctors however, I only saw a nurse. Not too happy as if I’m paying that much, I want a real doctor. She looked in my ear for two seconds and said “yeah it’s an ear infection”. I asked if the ear drum was ruptured and she said (1) she couldn’t tell but it probably was. She didn’t offer any new meds other than ibuprofen and instead said (2) she’d offer 2 shots that should help kick start the antibiotics I was already on, and that they should help for the meantime but it was really the antibiotic I got Monday that’ll work. I said sure. She sold me on the two shots. I didn’t feel any better after them.Fast forward to the weekend and I was feeling even worse. Went to see a real doctor and he said I had an outer ear infection, not a middle ear infection. So this nurse just rode the diagnosis I got from the ER rather than having the knowledge to know they were wrong and make her own diagnosis. Sure, the ER was wrong too but the reason I went to AFC was because I wasn’t getting better. It was her duty to find out why, and a misdiagnosis at the ER should’ve been something she considered as a possibility.I did the survey texted to me and got a call a few days later. Shanda said she “wanted to hear both sides of the story”. Made me feel like she thought I was lying or in trouble at the principals office. Anyways, I told her the above.I mentioned the above. She said the nurse told her that she (1) diagnosed me with a ruptured ear drum which I told her was false, she told me she couldn’t tell if it was ruptured. And (2) she straight up said the nurse said she “overmedicated” me to the point where it should get rid of any infections in my body. Boy, isn’t that concerning? Admittedly over medicating a patient? And not only that but it STILL didn’t work? I then asked her what medications she prescribed me. I knew I caught her in a lie and was going to call her out. She checked, and said the doctor prescribed me 2 medications to the Walgreens on main St., neither of them being the ibuprofen. I said that’s a lie. She did not prescribe me those meds…….. Shanda had to put me on hold while she checked.When she came back she said the meds she was talking about was what the ER gave me Monday. I was so upset that they’re now giving me the runaround. First you say I was overmedicated, now you’re saying I was never medicated, seems like they’re doing everything they can to save themselves rather than admit fault! And it seemed like the nurse was just telling Shanda whatever she could to save her behind. She said she was reading the paper wrong and admitted she didn’t know how to read it. Really? As a manager you make these claims about my health but can’t read the papers?She also had the audacity to ask why I didn’t come back after I didn’t feel better. Because I went to your practice and after selling me on two shots it didn’t make me feel better, that’s why! And because according to your website I would see a doctor and didnt!Very unhappy and I hope they don’t have the audacity to bill me for these services because I won’t be paying a dime. I don’t care if it hits my credit.

Wonderful staff: attentive, knowledgeable, pleasant. Online check-in and registration procedure is a disaster. I made an appointment online, completed forms, showed up 10 minutes early, asked I had been there before (yes), and was told to check in online. Repeated same registration procedure again. And again, and another time. Admitted after 40 minutes. This is not staff’s fault but the app that is imposed on them and patients by someone in management.

Front desk very helpful, friendly. Loved the compassion and caring of the nurse practitioner she was concerned about me and my health..

Im a little upset with the doctors care. I took my 8 year old son with vomiting and diarrhea this morning, 05/17/24. The doctor who treated him did not ask me any further questions, he did not ask me if my son had eaten anything, how long he had been vomiting, his appearance nothing. I didnt touch the padding to rule out that it was perhaps appendicitis or something more serious. He only checked his ears and throat. He was tested for covid and strep. Im sure the strep test was done wrong because the nurse did the two cotton swabs in the nose and the strep test is in the throat. He has been diagnosed with pharyngitis. Which is clearly gastroenteritis or rotavirus. The tests came out negative, which I dont know why they didnt show me the result. They gave him amoxicillin antibiotic treatment and I dont understand why the bacteria test came out negative. And antibiotics are not given if it is something viral. My son had vomiting and diarrhea and it was the least important thing for the doctor. It should be noted that they also did not have a Spanish interpreter so I could express myself well.Im a little upset with the doctors care.
