I felt like I needed to leave a nice review after hearing so much hate in the past. Ive delivered here in 2019 5 star experience and again in 2023 this being a much more difficult delivery and long term stay. Although it was the most traumatic experience I had the most amazing nurses, delivery staff and nicu stay. The only reason Im not giving a 5 is because I felt like skin to skin could have happened and it didnt besides that and the food needing a revamp Id birth here again.

I gave birth August 2022. Confused by all the good reviews for this place. If I could give this hospital negative stars I would. Went through 6 doctors because of the fast turnover. Doctors ignored every medical concern I had and either gaslight me or blamed it on my anxiety. I had extreme morning sickness, severe insomnia, back pain for the entire 9 months. The last two weeks I developed preeclampsia. My delivery nurse ignored me, berated me, mocked me, ignored my repeated requests for a doctor and a C-section. After 30 hours of labor, 4 of which was active pushing, I finally received a C-section while the nurse continued to speak over me. She seemed actively angry at me for having high blood pressure. When I kept puking, started being unable to see, and other signs of an incoming stroke, she did nothing to help me. My babies heart rate dropped at one point and it was hours and hours before a C-section was even offered. I ended up spending a week in the hospital because my blood pressure was so high. Continued care long after postpartum. I had perfect blood pressure before this. Doctors and nurses ignored that I had a pre-existing condition before pregnancy, putting me at risk again and again. My baby ended up having a stroke as well as other birth injuries. He now will have lifelong issues due to their negligence. I ended up having too small of a pelvis to even have a regular delivery, something that should have been noticed sooner. When I tried to file a complaint a few days after birth against the delivery nurse, while still in the hospital, the manager or whoever she was came in and minimized everything. It was clear they did not care and it took 5 months, multiple doctor visits to be heard and taken seriously. I started bringing up concerns about my baby the first day he was born because he clearly had bells palsy and other obvious symptoms of a stroke. It was not until the symptoms turned into a rare form of seizures and I went to childrens hospital that my son began getting the care he needed. I was low income and incorrectly assumed this hospital was okay. While recovering and on multiple medications the staff was incredibly pushy about forcing me to breastfeed when I was not producing milk, it hurt excruciatingly, and my baby screamed while trying to latch. The social worker, who came without being requested did not offer any real help only tried to get me to discuss my medical history, which I had not shared, as if she was a therapist. I thought my story was a fluke but I have since heard similar and more horrifying stories from multiple women who have given birth here. My baby and I almost died here and they acted inconvenienced by any medical issues. When I requested an IUD the doctor tried everything to convince me otherwise including giving incorrect medical information. At some point a doctor or doctors wrote multiple incorrect medical information in my chart including a diagnosis I do not have, as well as doctor visits I never received/needed/wanted. Do not go here. I sincerely hope they are shutdown. The only thing they can deliver is trauma.

Will treat you like a second class citizen if youre unmarried and not religious.Had my son here at the end of Feb 2020 and was not kept in the loop about anything happening to myself and my son during labor. His heart rate dropped and struggled with every contraction. I started throwing up after 8hrs of labor which sent me into a crash cesarean. They put me on the surgical delivery floor knowing this was going to be the outcome. But still made me labor and risk my sons life for 8 hours. The surgical team was great. Thats my only positive thing to say.Once I got to the recovery floor I was unable to walk due to being extremely high from surgery. The room was spinning. They said theyd come back and wed try again. They never came back to help me stand and walk. They never took out my catheter. It took over 15hrs to have my catheter removed.I never got formula or a pump as I requested. I have tubular breasts and therefore cannot produce milk easily, and surely cannot breastfeed easily. Lactation consultants were dismissive of this information and were just so positive I needed to stick with it ( at 5weeks PP and I was still only producing 2oz of milk total after an hour of pumping)My son was denied nutrition for nearly 36hrs because they refused my request.at 2am on my second day my son was asleep in the bassinet beside me and I was on my phone checking up on things and replying to people. The night nurse came in and started berating me for being on my phone. Telling me I was a horrible parent. ????????? We told her to gtfo. She came back in some time later and apologized for treating me like her teenage daughter. Yeah. I was a 30yr old woman at that point. And then she started crying and saying that my husband just died like okay. Sorry. But what does that have to do with the way youre treating me? And if youre THAT messed up still why are you at work?!???!My sons father, my partner of 10 years, ended up getting the night charge nurse, who came in and listened to me cry about my mistreatment for the last 48hrs. How I had wanted to pump and supplement formula because I wasnt going to be able to produce enough milk, and how everyone kept blowing me off. I told her in the 48hrs hes been alive hes had maybe 6oz of food. Total. She then asked why they hadnt seen me walking around the floor at all and I told her no one told me I could. I was placed in that room and ignored except shift changes to be introduced to the nurses that were gonna ignore me. I attributed this to being unwed and nonreligious. The ONLY reason we didnt do anything about this is because as we all know, covid locked everyone down 3 weeks later. This hospital and its staff traumatized me to the point of not having another child. I wanted 3. And I have diagnosed ptsd from my experiences giving birth at this hospital.

I want to say first that I’m not very fond of hospitals and since my first birth I chose to switch to birth centers for my births. Unfortunately this time around my 4th baby came too soon so I couldn’t deliver at the birth center. I was really bummed to have toCome here however, the nurses were so incredible I couldn’t ask for better care. My midwife Olivia made my birth go so smooth and calm. The pediatrician was harsh and condemning and was not at all caring at all but she is not like the rest of the crew thankfully. The other pediatrician however is quite incredible. Not sure his name but he is kind and patient and informative. I definitely have a better perspective on hospital births now thanks to this fantastic group of wonderful women. Specially thanks to Ashley, Alexa and Sandra and Amà. Honestly just all of them. They all made my birth experience beautiful.

I had Dr.Demas as my delivery doctor and I cannot even begin to express how amazing she is. This was my first time giving birth and she made it about as enjoyable as possible.I also had several wonderful lactation consultants, but Rene is my go-to. She identified a tongue and lip tie, she has recommended products that have made my life easier, and is encouraging while being realistic.I was here for 5 days and got to meet a bunch of great doctors and nurses, like the first nurse (who was shadowing/supervising a new nurse) that I had, but her name escapes me.Everyone I had the pleasure of meeting improved my experience in one way or another.

I gave birth in 2019. It was definitely not what I ever imagined.... It was traumatic. Also the nurse gave me a spinal headache . (Plz know the symptoms of one, if you get an epidural. Do NOT let them push you out the door!! )Grab your popcorn.I showed up at 2 am. Water had broke and I was apperently having contractions. They checked me in. I wanted to sleep sooo bad. I had been up since the morning prior. I never got to rest once. I got told, I need to walk around. I was begging for at least some sleep. They never left me alone and were in the door constantly poking and taking my vitals every 45 min- hour. Despite being hooked up and progressing along. At 2pm. I got told they were going to give me pitocin, I was having contractions, and I was dilating..But they wanted everything to go faster. I wish I had done more research, despite I thought doing enough before labor. But it was NOT needed for pitocin yet. This upsets me, still to this day. I was moving along fine. Despite begging for sleep. They hooked me up to pitocin. Needless to say I never got sleep due to them constantly coming in.One of the nurses was in training. At one point, The one nurse admitted they needed to clean a high touch area, because house keeping doesnt. It was so gross.Anyways, they were unamused that I WAS dilating, and I was handling contractions very well. They kept uping the dose of pitocin..Finally I was in pain and showing it. I asked for an epidural. That made everyone so happy, and off my back a little bit.The anesthesiologist was super NICE!! I adored him. He did so good with my pain and deal with contractions. Even coming back in to give me more later. He had great bed side manner. When the nurses changed at 7pm. Right after I asked for the epidural. I got a nurse from hell She didnt want help me. She was definitely not there for me I really wish I had a doula at this point. I had to ask the nurse after getting my epidural to put my catheter in...Me! I had to ask! For her to do her routine job!!! She got pissy with me, asked if I had to pee, and put it in. Im numb. I feel a ton of pressure. Idk. I really honestly dont know if I have to pee But I did. Just do you job. Time to push came around 11 pm. The stirrups in the bed were broke. And the nurse refused to hold my leg. She refused to do anything to help me. Despite me begging for different techniques, colder room, a fan or anything. She was so unhelpful!!!!!Mind you, I have been up for days at this point. Baby came. All was well. Until I had to pee again after labor. She made the BIGGEST deal I had to go.. Im numb from the waist down so I had to have help. After that traumatic experience was over. I got transferred had a new nurse.Heres where the fun really steps in.She ripped my catheter to my epidural out of my back. Yes RIPPED IT out. In that moment she gave me a spinal headache. But I didnt fully know it yet. They also didnt let me sleep. I was awake for 5+ days.Anyways i couldnt sit up I couldnt eat, I couldnt feed my baby. I could hardly walk. I was begging for pain meds non stop.. They didnt care. They pushed me out the door. I was clearly just another number... Didnt diagnose my spinal headache, they didnt care I was in excruciating pain and almost crying just sitting up and trying to walk. Finally days later of calling saying something isnt right. ER visits. I had to BEG for them to give me a blood patch for my spinal headache, over 8 days later!I got my anesthesiologist who gave my epidural to do it. He was soooo sweet and felt sooo bad I was so completely out of it. He told me these are extremely rare (yay me. I should go buy a lottery ticket right?) He fixed my problems and I was walking out of there. I cant thank him enough.I beg of you. If you do an epidural research spinal headaches, so you know the signs. Do NOT let them push you out the door like they did me, I was just another number. Just another room to turn over..I will only do a home birth or birthing center, if I have another one. Do your research, and advocate for you!

I had a biopsy on my cervix done about a month ago and the results came back concerning therefore I need to have a bigger biopsy done by the specialists. My doctor informed me that the referral had been sent to the specialist on April 30. I told them that I hadn’t heard anything so they told me to give them a call. So I give them a call and from the beginning I can tell that this girl was not having a good day and had an attitude with everything that I was saying. First she started with saying and I quote “ There is no referral attached to your chart. “ i advised her that it’s been over a month since I’ve had this biopsy so I am extremely worried, especially since my doctor couldn’t give me an answer and just said that the tests were concerning. I asked the lady that I was speaking with what I can do on my end to make sure that things keep going along smoothly and make sure they get the referral because I am worrying myself into symptoms. That is when she informed me that she never said that they didn’t receive the referral she just said that it has not been processed. The rest of the conversation was horrible and I was flabbergasted to the point I just said thank you and hung up. I called my doctor and asked her to refer me to a different doctor because the fact that these people have no empathy for the fact that someone might have cancer and die is beyond me. if you do not have empathy for people that are possibly going to die you should definitely , not be in the medical field

Seriously spent hours looking for hearing so we could do the hearing test for our baby. They had to send charge nurses to go find the staff for the hearing test. Our nurse literally had to stand outside the room of the patient they were with so they could make sure they got to our room. No one at their desk for the nurses to call. Nothing. Then they come in expecting us to be a bundle of joy asking us the same questions we already answered a million times. Incompetence at its best.

I gave birth to my daughter here almost a week ago, and it was a great experience. The nurses were so sweet and helpful (dare I say even more helpful than the doctors). By the time I got to my room I had been in labor for about thirteen hours with no progression and I was exhausted and needed pain meds. The first doctor I had was a little vague and unenthusiastic about giving me anything, but the moment he left, my two nurses flocked to my side and offered two kinds of pain meds, instructing me not to hesitate to ask for an epidural if I decided the first two kinds of pain meds didn’t work.My pain meds would wear off every several hours, and my eventual epidural would occasionally start to fail in my left side. For both these things, my nurses were attentive and so quick to help me get another med boost, or help me onto my side to aid the epidural + a medication that aided the epidural so well that I was able to sleep through the night while in active labor! My nurses completely made my experience and were so sweet and gentle with my daughter, cooing over her and happily answering any and every question or need that I had. Should I have another baby someday, I will absolutely choose to come back!

I had great experience with triage nurses, midwifes and labor and delivery nurses. They all were very helpful and caring, I only have great things to say about them. I received AMAZING care!! They are the only reason I might come back. However postpartum nurses were terrible. I felt no compassion. Nurses would often forget to bring supplies I asked for, pain relief, and overall they looked like they don’t want to be there. I had no help with my baby. One nurse in particular judged me for the choices I made regarding my baby.Postpartum is rough as is and having nurses that are incompetent did not help. I understand the hospital might be short staffed, but it’s not an excuse to behave the way the did.If you go to this hospital for l&d I suggest you get comfortable with firing postpartum nurses until you meet the one that actually cares about your well being.

Absolutely appalling and traumatic labor and delivery experience here.I loved my OBGYN all throughout pregnancy. Dr Demas is phenomenal and I truly believe had she been on call that night, it would have gone smoother. It won’t let me share my whole birth story, so short version..Aggressive on call doctor. Aloof traveling nurse. Eight failed epidural attempts causing excruciating nerve pain worse than labor pain and leading to spinal fluid leakage causing extreme migraines for three weeks after. I think they went too deep in my spine. I am now in the midst of fighting a bill for all eight failed epidural attempts and a bill for a c section epidural which I didn’t even receive. I truly believe malpractice took place with these epidurals. There are so many more negative details to my experience, but they won’t even all fit in this review.. Needless to say, I would rather give birth in a field than go back to this hospital for baby number two. If you go here, I truly hope it goes smoothly for you.

I have to call to see what care will be provided and its none. From the information I was given all the Drs are out having babies so thats why they lack care and a full team. No hope for me. I delivered my second baby here and am so thankful for the positive experience I had with the midwives, nurses and staff. I moved to the Everett area about halfway through my pregnancy and settled on Providence because it’s the closest hospital to me. Due to the limited availability of scheduling for OBGYNs, I was assigned to a midwife. I was a little hesitant at first since my first pregnancy I had an amazing OB at a different hospital, but I met a few midwives who are respectful, sincere and overall just wonderful— especially Sarah Flay. Overall it was a really positive experience having my baby there. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My only concern was that the nurses we had pushed for only 10ml of food for our newborn and that just isnt enough food. We had both our babies here (one c-section, one natural birth), and both times it was an absolutely great experience. All the hospital staff try to meet your wishes (within reason) for your birthing experience. The rooms are nicely set up and clean. The nurses are caring and compassionate and do a good job checking in and making sure both mom and baby have anything thats needed. Even the food is good (and guests can buy voucher tickets at the gift shop and have meals delivered to the room, too).A lactation consultant will come to the room (if wanted) and see how mom and baby are doing breastfeeding and offer advice. The doctor comes in once or twice just to check on the baby.Birthing classes are also offered here. We went before our first baby arrived. It was well presented and helpful. This is an overall great place for delivery and after care for mom and new baby (and dad and siblings too, in fact). I highly recommend it!

I had my first baby at the end of November and the overall service is good. I was in the hospital for 5 days as I needed to induce. Though I had different nurses everyday, the nurses service were great. Each time they have a staff change, they would come in and introduce us. The two nurses would communicate to each other about my status. I also had different doctors each day. There was one doctor my husband and I wasnt too fond of. She always seems to be in a hurry and her attitude reflects it. She didnt really listen either. But all the other doctors were good. Also I did have an issue with the epidural. They had to do it twice, because the resident doctor that did the first one didnt do a good job. I am just glad there were no side effects. My overall stay and experience of this place is good. I felt very calm during my complicated birth and the nurses really took cared of me.Note: From what I can tell this hospital focuses on natural vaginal birth and breastfeeding. My overall experience here was great. First time giving birth and I felt comfortable and everyone was so nice. Ill definitely come back if I decide to have a second kid. But theres definitely a difference in attitude between the people who work on the 3rd floor (where I gave birth) and the 4th (where I stayed the night). The 3rd floor nurses were very nice, accommodating, didnt make me feel like I was an inconvenience & that I wasnt overreacting to my pain. The nurses of the forth floor were opposite of that. This was my first baby and I didnt know how to swaddle or change a diaper. I was told by other women who had given birth here that theyd teach you that during your time there, but when I asked it seemed like I was just a huge inconvenience.I had problems getting my baby to latch, so I was asking for help from one of the lactation nurses all she wanted to do was have me hold him like a football. It didnt work, but thankfully when I got home I was able to comfortably breastfeed without any problems.Because of all of this, Im glad I only had to stay one night here.A side note from anyone else who plans to give birth here: Double check the paperwork. On one of the pieces of paperwork we had to sign in front of someone to get a birth certificate, after that theyre supposed to sign stating that my S/O and I did indeed sign in front of someone - but they didnt print their name below where they signed so the paperwork was sent back from the department of health and we had to refill out the application, and resend the money that we did not get a refund for.Secondly, we got someone elses kids temporary birth certificate, along with our kids (thankfully).

I delivered my first at UW Northgate and it was a way better experience. The staff and doctors were all unsupportive of my unmedicated birth plan (despite the fact that I had done it before with an even bigger baby) and any questions I asked seemed like an inconvenience as “this is the way it’s done here” seemed to be the mindset.None of the staff knew current Covid protocols, we were told different things by every one so my husband ended up not being able to leave to take care of our toddler.I asked specific questions about delivering (do I have to push on my back being one of them) and the nurse answered them. But when it came time to push, the doctors made me flip onto my back despite being more comfortable in a different position as I had stated. My husband was also not allowed to order food, even if he offered to pay for it. And the staff on the phone were extremely rude. As well as the person who delivered my breakfast as it was “all that work for just this” because I didn’t order much.It was very noisy the entire time, and it took them forever to get us discharged. I was relieved to get home. They get 2 stars for the awesome nurse I had at delivery (Jaime) and the lactation consultant I saw before I left who I think was named Bree.I’m sad my OB switched to providence, as I won’t be delivering another baby here.

The Doctors and Nurses have been great, some much better than others (only reason for the 2 stars). Everyone else and the organization has been horrible.1. It took them over 2 hours to FIND a working scale to get the babies weight. When they finally found one, it was dead!2.They couldn’t find a certain medication to help with the allergic reaction my wife was having some of the medication. (Other nurses couldn’t believe they ran out)3. They forgot to give a round of medication, so we had to call and ask for it after it was 4 hours overdue. Since it was so late it has been hard to get under control.4. They still haven’t been able to find the tool to take off the umbilical cord clamp.. yes we are supposed to leave here soon.5. They couldn’t find a normal ice pack so they gave my wife 2 diapers filled with ice instead of the more ice pack for C-sections.6. There is no schedule.... random employees and other workers walk in the room at completely random times all through the day and night.Example: We had two ladies from Children’s Hospital come in to do a check up (same check up the nurse does every two hours). They come in, said it had to happen now, and ripped my newborn away from my wife in the middle of feeding. Not only was this rude and unprofessional but the baby was furious and took over an hour to get her calmed down. I asked them if there was planned time they come in and said “no, it’s random”.There are many other examples but possibly a little petty. Overall this is my 4th child and my worst experience by far. This all falls on Management. Either they don’t care or just have no idea what they are doing.Luckily we have a healthy mom and baby. If they can’t figure out the little and very common things, then I would be very scared if there was an emergency of some sort.I would definitely recommend finding somewhere else to have your baby.

First off, I have to say that I loved my Providence midwife care! I felt well taken care of during the birth of our daughter, the midwife and nurses were great!! The aftercare was awful though. We had an older nurse who was being followed around by a trainee and it was obvious that she was annoyed the whole time. Then they discharged us at 10:00pm with a jaundiced baby even though she had been having trouble stabilizing her temp all day and coughed up a HUGE amount of goo right before they pushed us out the door. We ended up back in the hospital (at Colby) the next day for the jaundice. They never should have let us leave the Women’s and Children’s Pavilion. It was obvious then that she looked yellow and they never even tested her. I was appalled with the aftercare here. We had our first daughter at Swedish years ago and the aftercare was amazing! Night and day difference.

On January 28th at 2:10pm my dad passed away at providence hospital in Everett Washington. The night before, January 27th we were informed that he was going into hospice care and were told he had 3 days to a week. The next day, January 28th at 3:10pm we checked into the nurses station and were never informed of his death, we never got a call, or even a warning that he had passed as we were checking in. As I walked into the room I noticed his room was the only door with the door shut, and also noticed he had a tag on his door with flowers on it and I just thought it was because he was in hospice. As I walked inside the room I noticed his roommate was not in there anymore. I went up to my dad so excited to see him. I shook him and said “hi dad it’s Ash!” Then I looked and saw his lips were so yellow and jaundiced. I immediately ran out to the nurses station and said he needs his vitals checked NOW and that something was wrong. They looked at each other and said they would have someone come in. A nurse and Chaplin came in and said “he’s passed we thought you knew” I’ve heard multiple bad stories about this hospital and we were barely communicated with the whole time he was there. I’m a 22 year old girl and this by far was the most traumatic experience I’ve ever been through. I have had nightmares every night since. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy and never want this to happen to another family and that is why I wanted to share my story.

The only thing that I liked was the first doctor that was caring for my pregnancy she was nice which is the reason I gave two stars otherwise they would have gotten a 1 for zero. Both times I went I got there almost 5-10 min early to my appointments and was the last one to be called the second time they took almost 40 min after my appointment to walk me inside I took longer outside than inside with the doctor tops like 10 min literally... It is customary to thank the medical staffing of an hospital. Yes, indeed, they are great and highly skilled professionals, it is given! But I want to highlight the kitchen crew. Thank you! I was a dietary aide in an assisted living, that is small compare to an hospital, and it could get overwhelming. Pat your crew mates in the kitchen on the back and tell them “we got this” and know that you are just as valuable as the medical staff.

I will never set foot in this hospital again. The nurses were sarcastic and rude. I felt like a problem rather than a patient. After 48 hours of labor my son was born with a low apgar score. Nobody communicated with me about what was going on and I was unable to see that he had an oxygen mask on his face. After holding him for maybe 5 seconds a nurse took him from me to the nicu. I was later told that he was in transition and thats why he had such a low score. Personally I feel that my son experienced such a difficult labor that he was exhasted and therefore was not as active after birth. My son and I missed out on critical bonding time because of the decisions made in that moment. It wasnt until a few hours later that I was taken to see him. Again I held him for a few seconds and then they took him so they could transport him to my room. Over the next couple of days I saw several lactation consultants who grabbed me without asking and made my son scream because they were forcefully holding his arms down trying to make him nurse. I was finally discharged to go home but found out a day later that my son was being readmitted to the nicu for high jaudice levels. It is my opinion that we should have never been released from the hospital to begin with. There were several factors that lead to his high jaundice level. For example, bruising on his head from labor, Rh incompatibility, fever or infection during labor from the myself etc. The decisions made at this hospital will forever be a black mark on the memories I have with my son in his first few days of life. I was treated without respect, not communicated with, and ignored in a time of great vulnerability and need. I will always regrett choosing this hosptal for the birth of my son.

I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS HOSPITAL!!! We were kept here for almost five days and it seem like they did not want us to leave that Saturday before new year Eve? Our doctor in Edmonds was to deliver our child cause she gave me the impression to me and my wife that she was going to, and yet we get a nurse who knows nothing about my wife and proceed to tell her to push with out our doctor. Baby had vaginal birth complications due to him being a bigger baby and finally resorted us to C-section after they induced my wife and made us wait 20+ hours when we could have just jump right to the C-SECTION, it was a waste of time cause at 9.5 centimeters we had complications and it all lead to C-section.The two nurses we had on Wednesday night were kinda rude and had a bitchy look to them,Thursday the two new nurses we had were great Kim in the morning and Shirley on Saturday. They help us with every question we needed while the other two kinda kept quite and said talk to people in the offices? In the end this was not what we expected for our first child to be born. When they finally got to us they ha her do an EKG even though one had been done 3 hours prior and I had the results in my hands. What a WASTE! After the fourth hour my wife was not feeling well from not eating all day and we decided if they didnt think it was an emergency maybe she wont die of a massive hemorrhage despite all of her symptoms during the day. My night from hell!We arrived at Providence ER at 8:15 by car. The excruciating pain in my back caused by a kidney stone had started 45 minutes earlier. By the time I was called back to triage, my blood pressure was up to 203/88. The triage nurse had to take it twice with different cuffs because she didnt believe it. I informed her I had a history of high blood pressure and heart arrhythmias. And with all that, we sat in the ER waiting room for 4 hours, with no pain medication. Those of you whove had a kidney stone, and have experienced the acute phase where the stone blocks the ureter causing the kidney to swell up like a balloon, know what Im talking about. The worst pain imaginable. But the ER was full, all 70 beds, or so they say. So we sat for four long, horrific hours with no relief from the unimaginable, unrelenting pain, constant vomiting and palpitations. Finally, my boyfriend went to complain vehemently to the staff and was told, we know kidney stones are painful, but theyre not life-threatening. We dont know when we can get her back. Not once in that four hours did anyone come and check on me to see how I was doing, or if there was anything they could do to help, or at least give us some kind of update as to how much longer it might be, so we could make an informed decision as to whether to stay or go elsewhere. No, the nurses and staff at the station were on their cellphones and chatting it up with one another, while the 50+ people in the waiting room were suffering in various degrees. Is this what our healthcare system has come to? Ive seen better, more compassionate triage in third world countries! So we left and went to another ER 30 minutes away. I was taken to a room almost immediately. One thing I know for sure, I will NEVER return to Providence Everett again for any reason, and I will be contacting an attorney to see if there is any recourse for their negligent, thoughtless and sloppy hospital and ER administration. WORST HOSPITAL EVER!!!

I was then told we could be locked up for several days as the county was too backed up. No food or water for 9 hours. I finally called my husband and he called the hospital and demanded we be give water and food. When we finally were told there was a bed at FairFax they refused to let me go with her or drive her. The nurses, midwives and OBs treat you like a number versus a patient. They 100% try to reassure you that they know your body better than you do. Theyre doctors, they wouldnt harm you or your child. Your level of care directly relates to which doctor is on call, and theyll even tell you that. There is no standard level of care and its all up to who is working in the moment. Policies and rules also change depending on whos working that night. I was flat out told if youre unhappy with your level of care, you can go to cascade, swedish or evergreen which is extremely discouraging when you should be heard by your care team as well as feel safe in their hands. I would take their own staffs advice and go elsewhere.

Needless to say I’ve been stressing over this a lot lately). So while the CDC says it’s safe to gather in small groups, Providence excludes fathers from the events of their child’s progress. Apparently Providence knows more than the CDC about the dangers of a father being present with his wife and a medical provider who are all wearing masks. Hit or miss. Depends on Doctor. Revised from one to three stars, due to changes made, which we required.

On Monday my daughter was born in this hospital. I just want to thank nurse Rita for the work she did by spending all day taking care of me. I wish there were more nurses and doctors with the devotion with which Rita does her job. Thanks Rita. and thanks to all the doctors who treated me. And Rita, sorry for squeezing your hand too much 🙈💕On Monday my daughter was born in this hospital I just want to thank the nurse Rita for the work she did by spending all day taking care of me I wish there were more nurses and doctors with the devotion with which Rita does her job Thank you Rita and thank you all the doctors who treated me. The worst traumatic experience I have ever had, I had my cesarean section for my second daughter with Dr. Nariman Heshmati, he did not give me anesthesia and I felt everything, like something hot was opening me, in the room no one spoke Spanish and they did not understand me, when I They were discharged, I lasted three months with very severe pain that no pill took away, I slept for 2 or three hours and ended up with severe depression that my family took me from hospital to hospital to find out what I had. I am traumatized, I am terrified of seeing that hospital and thinking that what I experienced could happen to someone else.

I had my baby here and the care was very good! As soon as I got better, they changed my room to the one where I would stay recovering. Most of the nurses are very nice! The nurse Barb who spoke Spanish helped me a lot with my breastfeeding! They were patient with me! And they helped me with any questions as a new mom.
