Planned Parenthood - Flagstaff Health Center

Was very pleased with my experience here. They were thoughtful, compassionate, knowledgeable, and took their time to speak with me and help me find the right birth control. Would highly recommend this clinic.

I was treated with respect and well taken care of but it should NOT take an hour and a half past my appointment time to actually get my procedure done when there are only two other patients and I have already filled out all of the paperwork available online.

I was admittedly a little nervous coming to this place with some of the bad reviews. However, Im glad to say everything went perfectly fine. I felt like all the staff were very helpful and kind, and they really had my best interest in mind. Everyone seemed to really care about me and It helps ease the anxiety of coming to a place like this. I had some blood drawn and the nurse that did it was very gentle; even managed to strike up a conversation with me through distraction (Im very scared of needles.). Id recommend this place to anyone. Thank you planned parenthood for all the love and support.

Great experience overall, the NP is very helpful too for my checkup, and didn’t have to wait too long to be seen!

Staff are all so nice, but man this place is always so slow. Took well over an hour for an STI testing appointment. Filled out paperwork, then had to repeat all the information to a tech. Then had to see a doctor afterwards, even though I declined an exam and just wanted a urine test. It’s easy to schedule here, but plan for your appointment to take about double what the slot says.

Super respectful and helpful, answered all my questions, went through pricing with me in the room & was very affordable even out of pocket

I was able to get in quickly to get a lump in my breast checked. It felt like they really cared about me as an individual. Affordable options for people with lower income. They do not dismiss the concerns I have about my health. This place has taken better care of me than any other doctor’s office in Flagstaff.

This place disgusted me. The “care” that they have for their clients is non existent. The lack of empathy they have is sickening. A 17 year old looking for help was lied to, disrespected and they made her feel ashamed for asking for help. I would never recommend coming here for any sort of help. Even if it was my last resort.

Ive used Planned Parenthood as my go-to for reproductive health as I travel/move frequently and its easy to schedule appointments, know the costs associated with any care, and my experience has been that they typically employ educated, compassionate people. Ive been to different Planned Parenthoods in many states and Ive supported them financially over the years through donations. However, I do not recommend anyone go to this Planned Parenthood location.I read the reviews before making my appointment, but my appointment was fairly simple and straightforward, so I decided it couldnt be that bad. It was actually WORSE.The people here are beyond rude. I went here toward the beginning of the pandemic and when the technician went to draw my blood, I requested that she put on a mask while doing so, and she refused - saying she wasnt sick and didnt like the feeling of wearing one.This is only one example of the type of care youll receive here. I almost cried due to how rude and dismissive they were with any questions I had about my care.I dont need to detail my entire experience here, but I think that this location is doing a disservice to its patients, but also to Planned Parenthood as a whole. Dont go here - its worth the drive to go anywhere else.

I went there today this morning my appointment was scheduled at 10:20 there was only one person there and i was the second person to get there and it was 10:20 They told me i had to fill out some paperwork and i did i finished and gave it to the format desk by this time 5 people have arrived and are doing paperwork too. I sit and wait for about 30 minutes for them to call me up for my license and insurance so i give them that, i sit back down and wait another 30 minutes for them to call me back to sign off some on some paperwork and take a sample from me for the reason i was there. i signed the paperwork work, gave them my sample and then they told me to go wait in the lobby again and then i’ll be called back so i went to the lobby and waited almost 45 minutes for them to call my name which still hasnt happen(while they call back the other 4 people who got there after me). By this time i have been at the clinic for 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting, when my appointment was scheduled so i just go up and left. i will never go back again if i could give this negative starts i would!!

I’ve gone to this planned parenthood multiple times in the past and never had an issue until now. Today I went in for my first dose of the shot and the front desk lady was incredibly rude. No compassion or kindness whatsoever. She was very rude with giving me information back to me, basically throwing the cards, and had a very short temper with anything I said. My experience was so uncomfortable to the point of tearing up just by the first 12 minutes there. I want to support an organization like this to any degree, but it’s hard to stand by that when even the front desk lady is rude to TEENAGE customers. Out of all places, girls shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable here.

Great nurse practitioner there now. Was very pleased with this visit. Have been there before and didn’t think I would go back. Now that I have had a pleasant experience I will recommend they go their. The only issue I did have was the lack of pace and intensity from the staff in the front and the girl who took a really long time so that I could see the nurse. Once that was complete it went fast with the nurse. Hope they stay open through these unseen times we are in.

Today I had an appointment with NP Ashley, I was very comfortable talking to her because I really felt like she valued me as a patient. She took the time to explain things and was very empowering also. I will definitely return to see Ashley!

The doctor I was seen by Ashley Overall was great! But the front desk staff was extremely unhelpful and unwilling to help. They have disconnected their phones so no one can call. They literally give patients zero way of contacting them the provider the referred me to was unable to contact them either. I had to drive from my other doctor and ask them to print my record to bring to my doctor and even that they were unable to do. I asked if there was a phone number I could contact them by and they said they no longer offer that feature??? Like having a phone number to contact them by is the BARE MINIMUM !! The incident caused me to miss my appointment slot to get an ultrasound of my cyst so I’ll just cross my fingers and hope everything’s uterus is ok.

I was late to my initial appointment by 15 minutes. I didnt get any email reminders or anything. They gave my appointment away I understand that they do this, but Ive never had a doctor turn me away besides Planned Parenthood. Then, I asked if there were any other appointments. They gave me another appointment, of which I was 1 minute late (exactly 1 minute) and they gave my appointment away again. Also, they said that the office would be closed for the rest of the month, which not true.

I went to get an iud placed back in february. nurse failed to insert the device twice and gave me no warning before re clamping my cervix and finally inserting it. she left the room immediately afterwards and i didnt see her again. i ended up going to the er later on due to the obscene amount of pain i was in due to the nurse placing it wrong. i continued to have cramping so severe that i could not function in my daily life because of the misplacement, and only finally felt relief when i removed the device myself a month later. overall id find a clinic that is more experienced in iud insertions if you are looking to get one.

Half the time I come to get my simple birth control shot they are great. The other half they are completely awful. They are now having all patients fill out a form for std testing, that you have to fill out if using insurance, and if insurance doesn’t cover it, you have to pay for it out of pocket even if you got tested 3 months ago(like I did). They are so rude, and I hate coming to this location.

Theyre now under new management and I believe staff. I will say I felt comfortable, reassured, informed and in good hands. I encourage everyone of all ages to go to planned parenthood for any questions, concerns or just to give the respect of any partner that you participate with in the present or future. The lady was very unprofessional. Did not care about me or my problems. I was told multiple times removing the NEXPLANON implant would be $380 without insurance, but when I came to the appointment the lady said over a grand! Thats insane. I drove an hour and a half for nothing. Very unhappy.

They charge full out of pocket cost on some things just for fun . . . Came in for an antibiotic prescription for a UTI and itll be hundreds of dollars before I even fill the prescription? Its almost cruel.I honestly dont understand how PP can claim to help people afford healthcare and also pull this.No one at the counter when we arrived, and when she showed up she had a callous attitude and was very unhelpful. I left literally in tears.

I can honestly say that the staff are here to help. They are very concerned about confidentiality and patient feelings. The doctor listened to my story and helped me start a new chapter in my life. I really appreciated everything she did for me and I am ready to move on with my life. Thank you so very much.

I couldn’t be happier with my care from Planned Parenthood! The clinicians were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all of my questions and provide plenty of information and options for my health. I highly recommend coming here!

I have always had a wonderful experience here. Everyone is kind and caring. So happy I have this service available for all my reproductive needs.

The services provided by Planned Parenthood help me very much. If I need condoms, pregnancy tests, STD/I or HIV testing, vaginal and breast checks to avoid cancer, and many many other things all I have to do is walk in and Im met with. Ive received nothing but kindness from the people there. Dont let your ignorance hurt my health.

Stellar communication in person and via the patient portal with informed, quick informational responses. Helpful and informed about insurance coverage and options.
