Planned Parenthood - Southwest Fort Worth Health Center

I love this facility! the staff are extremely sweet and they all work amazing together! i’d like to point out how extremely accommodating and respectful Brittany is! I’ve been working with her a lot and it genuinely makes it 100% easier coming to the doctor so often!

This facility was my first experience ever at a planned parenthood and was easily my BEST experience ever for a gynecological visit. Every staff member made me feel so welcomed and so comfortable. I will now be coming here permanently for any of my women’s health needs. 10/10

I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my healthcare needs. The ladies here are so attentive and knowledgeable. I can voice my concerns without fearing any judgement. I went in for an IUD insert and decided to have a cervical block and Wow the patience my practitioner- Leanne showed me- just wonderful. She made me feel calm and safe. Thank you all for taking care of me. You make a difference!

I’ve been coming to this location for years for my usual exams, blood work, and birth control consults. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. After dealing with regular doctors and clinics and feeling like a turn and burn patient, I am glad I made the switch to PP. I’ve always felt heard and seen when it comes to my PMDD and other issues I’ve had. It is a shame that so many people oppose this quality of care.

I read a review for this location that was posted 5 months ago and I had the same experience. I’ve never had a clinic ask me what my monthly income is. After taking my samples for an STD screening, they informed me that my BCBS insurance was out of network and that I would have to pay out of pocket and it was my choice if I wanted to move forward with testing. I spent an hour and a half and gave samples, I felt pressured to continue. While the staff was nice, I would have liked to save my $225.

The experience itself was fine. The staff was very nice. I didn’t appreciate how when I first got there their first question was what my income was, especially given I don’t have insurance (one of the reasons I chose to come to them). I simply came to get std screening done as a responsible person does and they charged me $225. I have never in my life paid that much for testing. For a facility that claims to be affordable they simply aren’t, unless they pick and choose who gets the affordable rates.

While I dont usually support this organization, I went in for a simple annual and Pap. Everyone was nice. The doctor explained everything as she was doing it. I felt comfortable the whole time.

Amazing experience. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable, I got an appointment same day of calling!!! The doctor explained everything to me to make sure I knew all my options and made sure I had no questions. I’m an awkward and generally nervous person and they were never judgmental. Facility was also exceptionally clean and comfortable.

Needed to be seen quick and I was able to be seen the same day. Staff here have a welcoming smile as you walk in that makes you feel very comfortable. I didn’t feel judged and I was there for less than an hr. Thank you to all the ladies at John Ryan. You’re all so appreciated.

This was my first time going to this place today. I just needed a check up and I haven’t been in this area long enough to find a regular doctor. First off, it was clean and the staff are super friendly. But I’d like to highlight the doctor that I ended up speaking with. I can not tell you how refreshing it was to speak so candidly with a truly professional, friendly and understanding woman. I had the best experience with this location and will be going back to get my annual checkups. They are affordable and in a nice area. I think my doctors name was LeAnn, but I’m not 100% sure... She was honestly welcoming and understanding and spoke with ease. It makes things a lot easier for women when you have a doctor like that!

Went in for a clear simple UTI prescription. Little to no explanation they tacked on several completely unnecessary tests and procedures without my consent. I asked questions, received contradictory or broad answers. Facility was nicer than some of the most expensive doctors I’ve been to, likely due to over billing. Sadly, my rent payment went to them and I had to struggle the next two weeks. Never again. If anyone goes here, don’t do anything they tell you with out showing the cost and a valid related reason.

Everyone was extremely friendly. Super fast service I don’t understand the negative reviews.

I had a really wonderful experience at this location. I received probably the best care Ive ever received in a health care setting. It was fast, affordable, and everyone was really kind and professional. I felt like they truly care for their patients.

I needed my copper IUD taken out quickly after having some pretty consistent pain with it in to the point where it was interrupting my sleep at night due to a piercing discomfort and my women’s clinic that placed it wouldn’t take it out on short notice, so it forced me to look elsewhere for help. I was about to head into my work week at the hospital and needed it taken out ASAP and phoned everywhere with no luck. Fortunately, there was a spot open early in the morning and if there wasn’t, they said they’d get me in as early as possible which put my mind at ease. Everyone was efficient, professional, personable, and kind. A nurse practitioner took out the IUD without a problem. The facility is extremely clean, decorated nicely, is well managed, and I had a pleasant experience. I was even given a complimentary birth control satchel with helpful items inside to ensure my sexual safety and that stuff is pretty expensive elsewhere, so I appreciated that bonus.

Went in for my second time today and I have to give a shout-out to the team at PP on Ryan Place. From the moment I walk in the door I feel comfortable. It can be hard to share your most personal information but the team makes me feel safe. I was so relieved when I arrived they made sure I would have the same female Doctor as my last visit. Thank you again Planned Parenthood for making it a little easier to be a woman ❤️

Just choose teledoc or wisp, its become cheaper than these people now. They just are worried about the loss of funding they experienced and grabbing payments from insurances. Small out of pocket people dont matter anymore, which their goals where to see whoever; whatever the income class came in. I had the money for it, but she lacked the knowledge to get my money. So I sat in the parking lot and did WISP, had a script for $65 not their $175 and it only took 15 mins not their 2hr wait with no one there like Ive waited before. Be careful of the pathology expenses as well they are hefty if your insurance is declined later. Happened to me as well. $350 if you were curious. WISP AND TELEDOC, planned parenthood is the thing of the past.

I walked in when they opened without an appointment to get my birth control pills refilled. I ran out of pills for the first time in 10+ years of taking birth control so I was in a bit of a bind. They were prompt, very kind, and thorough. This will be my new go to facility for my yearly well woman exams and birth control needs.

The nurses and doctors were very respectful and objective about my choices and gave me useful medical advice, free birth control, along with quick but comforting services. One of the best medical facilities and nicest staff Ive encountered compared to the other medical facilities in North Texas Ive been to. I feel there prices are reasonable as well as their waiting time (they will notify you ahead of time what to expect) and arent too crazy compared to what other local medical services will charge you for just a doctors visit. Im impressed with Southwest Fort Worth Health Center. I recommend it to anyone!

I enjoyed this Planned Parenthood because the staff were knowledgeable, compassionate, and non-judgmental, making me feel comfortable throughout my visit. The facility was clean and also well-maintained.

I had as great an experience you could have considering the circumstances. I would suggest making an appointment online. I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time. They were all very nice and addressed my issues and helped me get super cheap birth control. I plan on making this place my regular sexual health place for now. I was there less than an hour and everything was handled that needed to be.

The people I did my virtual appointment were nice enough, however, I’m wondering why this appointment was 2 days ago and I have been charged for my visit and my birth control has not been called in? To say I am livid right now is an understatement. $70 for an appointment and I don’t have access to my medicine? And now I can’t reach anyone until Monday and I need to start my birth control on Sunday. I hope this situation is remedied immediately!

I cant recommend the services offered here enough. I made my appointment on line and got several text reminders in advance. The wait time was no more than 15 minutes, and the staff was caring, friendly and competent. I dropped by the next day (no appointment) to get blood taken, and the clinician called me personally a few days later to report the results. Thank you!

Went to this place with my minor daughter and they were very rude. She was nervous and is special needs so she wanted me by her side and yet they acted as if she was an adult. Expected her to know her blood type and medical history as well as her family medical history which are things the average 15 year old doesn’t know. A bad experience and definitely glad we will only have to come here once more.

I normally dont have any problems when coming to this facility. But every so often, they cant seem to get their paperwork and facts in order and mistakenly tell me the wrong dates for my birth control. Like just now for example, as I sit in the lobby for about 30 minutes until they inform me that they gave me the wrong dates and Ive been sitting out here for no reason. Just gotta love having my valuable time wasted like its no big deal. Fair warning when you come here, they probably have your information wrong.

Love Ms. Denise! She is very nice and caring. Always ask for her when I have my appointments. My appointments usually start at the time they give me and end pretty quickly as well.

I do not recommend this clinic to no one the receptionist Giselle was by far the worst, then they scheduled my appt at 9 am n Im still sitting in the lobby 6 hours later not to mention on a empty stomach. This is ridiculous their ready to collect their funds before you even get to warm your seat.

Dont plan on your appointment starting on time and dont plan on being able to get to where u need to go afterwards because you will be late. Ive been here twice and each time ive had to wait 1 hour later then what i scheduled for my appointment to start. The service is incredibly slow and the people are not the nicest.

Very friendly and discreet. Not that i needed discretion for affordable birth control but for any shy women/afab its probably a huge relief to have discreet and secure access to reproductive resources like birth control and std tests

Why is this place called “planned parenthood” when all they offer is contraception and kill babies. Im a new parent looking for resources and was referred here. But all this place does is try to prevent parenthood.

Staff super nice office is clean compared to other places I’ve been. I was in and out. Nurse explained everything in detail.

They are the best people nice understanding and make u feel very comfortable was seen as soon as i arrived i had a implant taking out the doctor was very nice definitely be coming back .

This location is so kind and so very helpful. I didnt realize there are two locations in fort worth and showed up at this one, and they still got me in within an hour. I felt so safe and felt they gave me resources for anything they couldnt assist with.

They don’t take Medicaid? Since when did y’all get so picky with insurance. I’m just trying to get some birth control. Health care is bogus and stupid

Good service but open times not accurate. Got here before the closing time listed and was told they were already closed. Closing time should really be listed as 4:30 instead of 5 to avoid confusion.

They are TRASH....they don’t have enough sense to check your insurance before you get there so it’s going to be a waste of time if they don’t take it. So tacky

PSA May 2017: If youre going in for a walk-in appointment, the only hours you can arrive for actual service are 9am - 11:30am and 1pm - 4pm; otherwise, youll either be turned away or wait until their lunch break is over.
