I would like to give this place zero stars for fails information and not really available for walk ins. I’ve tried 3 times his past months to try and be seen because I care for my health but do not have the extra funds to see a regular doc. They told me they take walk ins between the hours of 8am & 2:30pm. But every time I come to the place between those hours there’s either something wrong with staffing or they have their spaces booked for the day. Gave me a list that was supposed to be for other free clinics but that list is only regular primers that are full. I was speaking to the bald headed Afro lady in a nice calm voice about the issues and she automatically suggested that she call a supervisor even though I didn’t request for one so it’s really giving me the vibes of she do not want to do her job. The place was not full of people and the other staff was just laughing and conversing amongst each other. If you are in the area and are trying to be seen I suggest you just find an obgyn or family doctor before going there

The doctors and staff are friendly Ive being going to the health Department for quite sometime every time I come they are always friendly.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Always very rude and never answers the phone,and when they do they are snobby

Recently went to obtain my childs birth certificate and was very impressed with the staff and experience as a whole. They greeted me upon entry, there was no wait time, they worked quickly and efficiently while being kind and professional. I was blown away that this was a public service experience that I left without any complaints!

I wish I could give them 0 stars. Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Tried calling ahead of time and the woman on the phone was so incredibly condescending and rude.I wish I would have read these reviews beforehand. I highly recommend visiting the Limestone County Health Department instead. Their customer service, and attitudes, are top notch. Madison County Health Department staff is trash. I feel sorry for the ones there that are actually great. Their trash coworkers give them a bad rep.

Just wanted to come on here and give 5 stars for the lady that did my pap and breast exam today. I wish I could remember her name because she was so great. Very kind and professional, and checked other things that she didn’t have to as well. She seemed to genuinely care for her patients. Last year it was someone different (don’t remember her name) and she was rude and literally just didn’t seem to care about anything but doing the exam and making her money and getting me out of there. The service here isn’t usually the best but she was excellent which is why I had to come post a review.

Getting documents is a service that is only performed from 8-4. I totally get that its hard to effectively communicate the details of the intricacies of a location like this, but there is an overuse of 8-5 hours being posted on websites with no caveat. Again, I get why this might be the case, but it needs to be communicated more effectively. I would give the benefit of the doubt and give 3 stars, but theres an insult to working people to remove another hour of window time to complete errands that involve this service. If banking hours were insulting enough, this takes it another step lower. I sympathize with the logistics higher ups face with running a health department and by no means intend to insult those who just happen to be in the trenches, but perhaps this will save someone a trip across town and schedule coordination efforts. Best to call ahead to get explicit outlines of variable hours.

Just moved to the area and didn’t know I needed to transfer my daughter’s immunization shots in order to get her enrolled in school. Got here 40 minutes before closing on a holiday week and Travis G was absolutely amazing. Helped me and gave me a list of local resources! Thank you for being another bright light during the crazy time in my life. We need more people like you around.

Cannot say this enough. Staff was so friendly. And so nice to me and my daughter. Quick Service and we’re so helpful. Appreciate all the staff that helped us that day.

They were the best I wish I could remember the lady took my blood name and the lady did my shots to be cured they made sure I was good before I left they made sure my blood pressure went down before I left they took good care of Me and I got my hiv std results back two days later I was negative for everything even tho I was tested for std I still was taking good care of

Typically government offices offer bad service, and this one doesnt disappoint. Cant get any worse. No signage outside, so you cant tell which door to go in. Lazy non-caring employees inside. Did I mention how rude the employees are? No problem, Ill go to another health department... Oh, thats right I cant because theres not another one, and they know it. What can you do? This place stinks.

Quite literally the worst experience. It is truly unfortunate that those who want to start businesses and have to work with the health department are made to feel like idiots for asking questions. Via email and in-person interactions, my suggestion would be that if this city wants to continue to grow and be a desirable place for people to live, they should employ kind people to work for the government offices. I wish there was another route to go when it comes to getting health certifications.

The lady at the birth certificate counter was incredibly rude.She told us to come back in an hour and our document would be ready. We came back after an hour and she immediately had an attitude and said “you’re just going to have to come back tomorrow”.I’ve never had a pleasant experience here, but this lady was hands down the worst.

Probably the most questionable medical office I have ever been to. You cannot schedule by phone or online, you must show up in person early in the morning. You could literally walk in bleeding and they would tell you come back in the morning. I came to get a blood test done, and had to remind the nurse that they needed to collect additional samples for the test. They filled out my information incorrectly, so I wasn’t able to view the results. I have called multiple times on multiple days to the number listed on their website and no one has ever picked up the phone.

The lady in the vital records dept was so nice & very helpful. Could not have gone better. She brightened my day!

Many kudos to the Madison County Health Department. My daughter and I arrived at 2:45 without an appointment and were directed to a line where we were given the paperwork. The young woman saw my cane and said my daughter could take the paper work in and a nurse would come to the car to administer the Covid vaccine which she did. Another lovely young nursing student came and stood by the car for the required fifteen minutes. When time was up she gave me the appointment for the second vaccine. We were back home by 4:00. As an eighty-four-year-old with cancer, I was thrilled with this whole process and so grateful to have the first vaccine. Thank you all for your efficiency and caring. Dot Millirons

This place sucks as a health department! Dont ever come here to get checked out for family planning services. If you think youre going to get in and out pretty quick, better think again! Get here early when they open n you will still be here til lunch! They need to maintain this place better. Ive been to better health departments than this!

People work at this place are very rude. They laughing at each other and it was very unprofessional to laugh while serving their customers. They need to grow up and act like they work for Health Department. I went to get a copy of my marriage certificate for the first time because I just moved here a few years ago. The whole time I was there these 3 women who work there just making jokes and laugh at each other the whole time. It was very annoying and sockingly very immature of them. Especially someone who work in the US for Health Department. Please hire some people with common sense.

Fantastic Appt. Everyone was so awesome. The Nurse Practitioner was very gentle during my PAP and understanding of my health problems. they even helped me get funding to have 2 Mammograms done. NP and nurses were so awesome. Only advice Id have is tell the receptionists to smile when they greet people!

Their website says that they take walkins for certain services until 4 pm on weekdays. We went in at 12:30 one day, only to be told that they weren’t taking any more walkins that day. Um, okay? We were told to be there when they opened, at 7:30. So we woke up super early, drove over, and managed to make it there at 7:40. Again, we were turned away. And yet supposedly they take people until 4 pm? Absolute nonsense. We’ll be going elsewhere that allows us to make an appointment (we were also told that we couldn’t make an appointment for this specific service...terribly managed).

I went there for the first time. It is during the covid 19 pandemic. Chairs were separated for social distancing. The woman at the front desk was very helpful on the phone as well as in person.Things moved quickly and nicely. Staff was friendly and environment was clean.

I went to the Environmental Health Division to get a permit to replace my septic tank system. I found the ladies out front to be very friendly and helpful. The inspectorBlair came out and did her inspection for the field lines and did the permit. But at the contractors request she came back to meet with the Contractor and Engineer to discuss changes that could be made that would reduce the amount of work and the cost. After meeting with the Engineer and Contractor she issued a revised Permit. She went above and beyond the call to help a customer. All of the people I had dealings with in this office were great.

I was here for 3 HOURS! for infant Vaccinations! The system here is awful! There is only one computer for check in. I don’t even think they use it. This place needs new management! The WIC side moves more quickly than the medical side. I am highly disappointed in this government facility. I will not return here ever again! NOT TO MENTION STAFF WAS JUST WALKING AROUND CHILLING AND ON THEIR PHONES! This is not professional at all or respectful! All staff needs to be laid off and hire people who actually know what they are doing and want to help their community. This place should be re evaluated by the government!

Worst of the worst I call to have my birth control taken out because I’m having trouble with it and was told you opted for a three yr option and we won’t take it out just because that’s what you want how unprofessional can you be wish I could give 0 stars

Nobody in this clinic has any motivation, horrible service and bad workers. The lady at the front desk tried to be sassy to me when I asked how much longer I would be waiting, by the way, I waited an hour even though I was the FIRST person to get there. The only person that was an actual human was the nurse who gave me my shots.

90% of workers in establishments like this are always rude, I intend to ignore them because 88% of them will retire in the same job, complaining about them is of no point because 99% of them have been working together, reporting them is like telling on my mother to my dad. they will talk about me behind closed door. I actually feel sorry for them.

Eda or Eta the nurse practitioner is very nice and gentle with doing your pap and giving you information on stds and cleaning yourself properly. The place is always clean, but i rated this 4/5 because the front desk ladies are rude. Also be sure to ask if your nurse is there because i had to go through the whole paperwork/testing cycle which took an hour just for them to tell me the nurse wasnt there to do my bc. My appt was at 1pm and i didnt leave until 2:30! Now i have to go back

They need a whole new staff! Theyre so unethical instead of doing their job they are walking around socializing and giggling like people dont have anything to do but sit in there. Then they have you in one room to wait then call your name while you think youre about to be seen then bam youre sitting in another room. Someone needs to report them or speak with the director. I hope someone in their family have to go through this maybeit will be a change

The ladies up front are accommodating and generally nice, the ladies in the back werent all horrible but there were a few who simply shouldnt be working in the healthcare field. I will say the lab tech who did my blood work was as sweet as anyone could be. The nurse practicioner not so much!! She kind of gave the impression that she wasnt happy with what she was doing. I will add that I myself went to MCHD because I dont have insurance at the moment and needed to have my yearly done, this wouldnt have been my first choice but at the time was my only. They should try and be more positive and upbeat about their positions because not all women/men are 100% comfortable being there in the first place.

I had to come by today and the staff in the records dept. were great! Very nice and didnt wait long at all. Great experience!

Going there was a complete waste of time. Went to get tetanus booster and was turned away. Had looked at the website prior to going just to make sure they provided the services I needed. Being from out of state originally, I brought my health department records just in case. Nothing on their website indicates they do not vaccinate adults.

Rude. Rude. Rude. No wonder people just do things without a permit. Took a total of 78 days to get a permit and had to deal with being lied to in addition to the rudeness. If your employees dont like their jobs then quit, go do something else!

My personal experience with this Health Department has been exceptional! They have provided me with outstanding medical care services. This facility has gone above and beyond to meet my health needs. Thank you all so much!🤗

Providing one of the most inefficient systems Ive ever seen. It takes forever to get a birth certificate here. Gettjng the certificate online is much better but way more expensive but I wish chose that!

Nice staff some of them are more fliendly than other one. And they are Clean, bathroom and rooms

Their food health grades site says it was last updated in May 2021, and conveniently the only page that wont load on my phone is their health grade search for food establishments.

The Alabama Department of Health way of receiving calls and their online contact, in regards to the COVID vaccines is troubling to say the least. This is one of the deadliest viruses in American history, and the ADPH is failing tremendously in their efforts to get people signed up for the vaccine.

Go to them for the WIC office and told each time to call them on a certain date. That date gets here and when I call nobody seems how to answer a phone up there so I have to take time out of my day just for a special trip up there so my daughter can have formula.

Considering what little they have to work with I think they do a pretty good job. In the 3 years I used their family planning services they were always very good to me.

Kathy helped us fix a records problem with immunization records and provided excellent service with a smile. So helpful. Thank you!

The front desk people are unprofessional and act like no one is standing right infront of them especially with the wic window. You see me standing here and not offering any assistance and they told me to come up here. Smh it’s crazy get it together

Went in for a flu shot. Not busy. In/out in less than 30 minutes. Everyone was friendly and professional.

THE CLERK THEN RESPONDED WITH, WELL TRY COMING TOMORROW (TUESDAY) BUT CALL FIRST BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEYLL BE DOING!!!! TOOK ME 1HR TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM TUESDAY MORNING FOR THEM TO SAY NO WE AINT DOING IT TODAY EITHER!! 😡😡

Who ever I talk to has an attitude. Calling ahead to be prepared does nothing because they do not even tell you about additional fees. This place is 100% trash.

Terrible took all day literally the people was attuitudy and was just bad overall. Would not want to come again.

Customer service is very poor, I called to get proof of an immunization and they redirected me to a phone number that did not exist.

Don’t waste your time call limestone county they actually pick up. Way better services

Had my blood taken and came back the next day for my results and was told I wasn’t on file and had to come back tomorrow to have it re taken
