This was the worst experience I’ve had with a place like this. The lady at the front was nasty. Not nice at all. I was the only one there and it took 20min for them to call me for a pregnancy test. While I was waiting I had asked for some water so I’d be able to pee. The lady straight up “iF yOu CaNt PeE tHeReS nOtHiNg I cAn Do FoR yOu”. A simple we don’t have water would’ve been nice. I recommend finding a different place, very rude and long wait for no reason.

Have had to get people out of some pretty dangerous situations from hereStay away from this and travel is better than what you are put through hereReally shocked theyre still serving clients

I just went to the Green House today for their one year celebration. I walked in and was greeted by one of the nastiest persons from the Emma Goldman Clinic-because she was security for their private event that was also being held at the Green House. This woman looked me up and down and accosted me because they were hosting a private event at that location. Dogs not are not the only ones that need house training!

If this is a healthcare facility why does every fast food restaurant in the state of Iowa have inspection and regulation while this facility has none.

Waited for 3 hours for an ultrasound and to have my vitals taken. Then had to wait even longer to see a physician. There were about 30 other people waiting to be seen by the same physician because there is only one and they weren’t even going in order by who came first just “skipping around”. Don’t recommend coming here.

The staff who answers the phone might want to work on their customer service skills. Not very professional or assuring, especially after being denied service they told me “good luck”. Didn’t offer to point me to any other resources or make an appointment with me or anything like that. Pretty disappointing, not gonna lie. Just expected a better experience.

There are a great many ways I would have liked to spend my Friday afternoon. Unfortunately due to the hour and a half I spent waiting at EGC, none were possible.The real clincher is the nurse who could perform the procedure I had scheduled wasn’t even there. I understand that short staffing happens, especially during a pandemic, but I would have preferred a phone call to offer me a rescheduled appointment rather than having to reschedule after a long and pointless wait. IF I return for my controceptive needs I dearly hope communication will be better.

Emma Goldman is an amazing clinic. The individuals that work there are nice, caring, and they do their job well! You get greeted when entering the clinic, they are very timely, and if you need to get in and out fast for check ups they can do that. Also they have punny condoms that can make any sexual experience a funny one, dive cups and cleaner, dental damns, and so much more.

The doctors and nurses here are great, but the person who works the front desk (young, tall black lady) is one of the rudest people Ive ever had to deal with! It doesnt matter how nice you are to her. Ive been going here for almost three years now and every time I call or go in for an appointment she ignores all of the patients, hangs up on you during phone calls, rolls her eyes at you. At first I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt, like maybe shes having a bad day, but friends, this lady is a bad day!!! If you hate the public that much, then being a receptionist at a busy health clinic where youre assisting emotionally comprised people, isnt for you...

Have used Emma Goldman Clinic for most of my womens health care needs and have been pleased with all aspects of the clinic. The staff is pleasant, helpful and very thorough. The healthcare service is preferred over a larger provider because of the timely appointments and personal care that is provided. At each visit, I have been approached professionally and with confidence that my healthcare needs will be met and kept confidential. Excellent physician staff as well!

I have been here for Pap smears, checkups, contraceptive advice, etc, and the staff were great.I’m also so, so, SO glad that Iowa City still has a clinic providing safe, legal abortion.

I am apologizing to your front desk clerk --this morning I was upset by all the protesters out front and stopped to make a donation---I was so angry that I merely wrote a check and left without thanking you all for the daily work you do to help men and women in IOWA. Thank you very much! I will see you EVERY time I see people outside make your jobs harder!

Least painful pap that Ive ever had. They were great when I needed to remove my implant. Very personable and helpful.

Theyre trash. They dont follow through with anything even after they go through all of the steps just to get you where you need to be. Leading up for a huge letdown. I wouldnt come here, not recommended. Wish I could give 0 stars, because thats what this facility deserves. Ive never been so disappointed in my life.
