Planned Parenthood - Northland Center

Was given false instructions and was not helped with at all. I saw dr. Abigail for a condition I was struggling with but because I was on my period she wasn’t able to see any to diagnose me. I said I’m a busy mom and I don’t ever get to see a doctor and I need antibiotics for my problem because I’ve had it quite often before. She told me to just contact her on the MyChart app if my symptoms are still happening when my period is over and I’d be able to get antibiotics for it. So a few days later and I contact her on MyChart because my symptoms returned as expected and she said oh sorry you’ll have to come back in to be examined. So false hope in assisting my issue and fake reassurance promising something and then later telling me something different. Very unhappy as I have to find time to see a doctor again and also to add I had to drive all the way to the Gladstone clinic just for this. Shouldn’t lie to your patients.

Never even made it in to see the doctor. First appointment I scheduled weeks in advance and they call me the day before the appointment telling me they need to reschedule because they will be closed in the afternoon during my scheduled appointment for admin work whatever that means... Im like okay thats weird but stuff happens so I reschedule for a day 3 weeks out on a Tuesday. Today which is a Saturday, I get a notification that my appointment has been cancelled again and that they will be closed on the day of my appointment due to staffing shortages..like at this point Im not buying it, and not wasting anymore of my time here. Very unprofessional. Go somewhere else if you can.

First time here & absolutely loved it ! Everyone is very welcoming & comforting. Will definitely be back ! 💗

WORST place imaginable. REFUSEDcare after scheduling an appointment 2 months in advance and arriving for set appointment. I was turned away supposedly because Id had a pap in the last 2 years that came back normal. I metioned I also needed screenings and have had several ruptured cysts and painful periods and needed a referral to an obgyn as well. Still they refused to help me. The staff were extremely rude and incompetent AVOID this place if you can, they are AWFUL

I came in for free testing. I drove for 45 minutes for an appointment from the other side of town it was pouring rain. Traffic was beyond chaos. They said i was 11 minutes late and wouldnt see me.

So, my insurance stopped covering my original provider for my hrt. i started freaking out bc i didn’t know where to go next! tried making an appointment online, but they’re in the middle of switching systems, so it was difficult but understandable. i ended up calling in, they got me scheduled in for a week away.the visit was easy, filled out registration, and consents. i did have to wait about 30 minutes past my appointment time, but it didn’t bother me at all. the customer service and respect from every single person i saw was excellent. they were all so friendly and wow, was the (dr?) i saw knowledgeable. we went over every little aspect of different routes of administration/different medicines (which i love learning about all of that). she listened, answered my questions, and made sure we were on the same page.if you’re looking to start hrt, or continue treatment, this facility is a great choice. you will feel comfortable, listened to, and my meds were prescribed and picked up same day!

So i love them for their hrt services but since the pandemic has hit, their hours have been changing every month with no warning or notice and their website does not update to reflect this. i scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance, had a confirmation call ans multiple reminder texts, got all the way there the day of the appointment for someone to come out and tell me they were closed. i think they need to just disable the online booking feature if theyre not going to update it to reflect hours that are changed on a whimotherwise the nurses whove handled my bloodwork always do a really nice job (even understanding on a day where i had forgot to drink anything beforehand and it took like 4 tries to get any blood from my arm) and the providers are (generally) good

Dont listen to the negative reviews, I had a great experience. I came very scared and unsure what to expect. I was able to get in the same day (and they do answer their phone). I had blood drawn, which I was made to feel comfortable and welcomed, but the process itself was seemless. Then I was seen by the Dr that was very knowledgeable about any of my concerns (and patient). I had other side problems I wasnt there for and I was given referrals and info. Thanks to all of you this day, I dont leave very many positive reviews, but this one is deserved. I would highly recommend, thanks again!

I recently made an appointment here for a gender affirming hormone therapy consultation and had a very positive experience. Everyone I interacted with was very polite and respectful, and I wasnt made at all uncomfortable at any point. Would recommend.

I had a nice recent visit to this location recently. I was super early for my appointment and the nurse saw me right away for my next birth control prescription. Definitely has changed my viewpoint of previous experiences at this location

This planned parenthood by far is one of the best doctors offices, let alone planned parenthoods I have ever been to. The rooms and lobby are stylish and new and clean. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctors are the nicest, sweetest, most informative and caring people. They get to know you on a first name basis and they make you feel cared for and important. I switched birth controls and get exams here and they make it so easy and painless. The nurses are sweet and smart and fast. The doctors Ive seen have been super understanding and for whatever reason I come in, they explain everything clearly and thoroughly. I would recommend this location over any of the others. If you have a daughter (or son) who is nervous or anxious about birth control or exams I would take them here for their patience, knowledge and caring nature. Definitely 5 stars!!

Im a Registered Nurse. I am very aware of our limitations and issues providing healthcare. This facility has consistently been rude, unaccommodating, and unhelpful. Their scheduling app has caused me to miss multiple appointments. During my phone calls to attempt to resolve this issue, I was talked down to and ignored. They snapped at my partner who was next to me, while I was on speaker, because HIPPA but again, Im an RN and that is not how HIPPA works.I want to support and recommend PP, especially given the current state of healthcare. But Ive had issues my last 4 visits, and I cant really justify my latest interaction with them. There are several non-profit hospitals in the area. I recommend finding a facility that will actually help you when you reach out to them.

Over the last two days I was driving from the centers because they messed up my appointments and , all I have to say is absolutely amazing. This center is the cleanest and most friendliest center out of all of them and I definitely recommend it and loved it. I wish it was closer to me so I could use them all the time. Chef kiss spectacular

The dr is was nice- that’s the reason for the two stars. The front desk girls are super rude. It’s makes us super uncomfortable. We will go elsewhere from now on. It just sucks because the hours are great. They are open later than the dr office. Just wish the front desk didn’t act like we were bothering them when we came for our appointment.

They were trying to charge me $200 from the start just because Im a new patient. I could go somewhere and pay $50 and it be a much nicer place that includes everything I need just so I can get birth control. Go somewhere else to save money. Plus all the nurses in the back room kept giving me dirty looks when I was talking to the receptionist. Not very acceptable in my opinion.

I have been going to this place for about 2 ish years and have had so many problems going to this location. At first it was great! The lady knew who i was each time, i didnt have to schedule an appt because depo shots can be walk ins. I walked in waited for 5min got my shot and left. Then there started to be problems. I had to wait for literally 30min to an hour to get my shot. They dont answer their phones when you call, but when you are actually there thats all they seem to be doing while you wait!!! The one problem that made me start going to a different location is that I scheduled an appointment and drove an hour to get my depo, when I arrived the place was closed for no reason, & the website said it was open. This other girl had arrived and told me she had an appointment as well, we both kinda just waited inside the hallway a bit because it was really cold outside and we figured they were on lunch break or something. after a while she left very frustrated & I sat and started calling every number possible on the line for a good hour. Eventually some lady picked up and said that the place was suppose to be open and that she couldnt get a hold of anyone who worked there and didnt know why they were closed. & I had to get my shot that day. So I went to the PP in Kc and they squeezed me in and It was honestly x10 better than this place. - Also adding this location does not do income based pricing so i was paying $160 and an extra $300 for checkup and with the place in Kc im only paying 1/4 of that

I called to set up an appointment for hrt and the woman on the phone immediately said it costs $400-$500 for the first appointment and $300 for all subsequent visits. When I said with insurance? She said, oh they dont take your insurance. I didnt tell her what insurance I have. Realizing her mistake she then asked what insurance I had. Cigna.She said, Oh nope. We dont take that insurance. ( My insurance website says they do. The planned Parenthood website for this location says they do.) I cant afford $500 or subsequent $300 visits. Thats why I have insurance. I had to talk to the suicide hotline after that as I was left with no hope. For touting yourselves as being LGBT friendly you sure have bigots on your phones.

Unfortunately planned parenthood is no longer affordable in this state. It cost me $120 for my yearly womens wellness checkup. That $120 didnt even include a Pap smear or STD testing. For the same price I could have gone to a very nice womens clinic that wasnt run down and disgusting. The receptionist would be nicer as well, Id imagine.

The front desk is such a racist. She pretended that she didnt understand what I was talking about. She was trying to play with me and make me pay 200 dollars even though I have my insurance. And she started a fight in front of other patients and customers. Worst experience ever. Ive never been treated like this. I dont even want to go back to talk to my doctor because I am afraid shes gonna attack me.

I got my mirena at this location. When I went in for my appointment I was just looking to get more information on it and to check if it was covered by my insurance, I knew I had a high deductible plan and I asked them if it would be covered even if I hadn’t reached that deductible yet the dr assured me it was 100% covered by my insurance. Now I am having issues and needing the iud removed, and I called to make an appointment only to find out after never receiving a bill btw that I owe over $900 for the iud and they will not see me until the bill is paid I talked to one of the managers there and they let it slip that someone even had notated in my file that they had informed me that it was 100% covered, so now I need it removed and I’m out over $900 for it even though when I went in the first time I made sure to tell them if it wasn’t covered I didn’t want it nor could I afford to pay for it and for a nonprofit they sure seem to be higher than a lot of the obgyn in the area, I wouldn’t recommend this location at all they have terrible customer service and are honestly more expensive than most drs in the area save your money and go to a more professional medical facility

I stand for planned parenthood and what they do but I have had a terrible experience here. Lost my labs and refuse to treat me despite symptoms. Go to any other planned parenthood. Terrible communication, can’t even tell me why my labs are lost and I only found out because I called. Had to get treated online by Dr Alexa

Took me 15 minutes on hold yo get someone to set an appointment, at which time I didnt have time to discuss things anymore and the lady wanted to chat... :/ she also said sit testing is $170 and an annual exam was close to $300. And that this location does not do income based pricing.... that is why I was going to go there.Since they cant ever answer their phones Im just not going to be going to the appointment I guess.

Dont bother. The people may be nice, but its a nightmare. It took me almost a month just to get a referral list of clinics because only the nurse could give it and shes apparently only there once a week!? Even trying to catch her on that 1 day is almost impossible. There phone was disconnected for awhile as well. Just go somewhere else and save a headache.

Beware if getting Paraguard put in by these supposed professionals. I was having a issue immediately and suddenly sorry we cant even follow up cause we no longer accepting your insurance but if you want to pay out of pocket.. turns out after getting pregnant and sonogram from a actual OBGYN it was not put in correctly. I never even recieved a consent form prior or after insertion. So if you get a problem after a procedure they did dont expect much help at all. 👎

I had an appointment in advance get here sat in the lobby for 40 minutes to be told that I couldn’t be seen cause the provider was leaving and I need to reschedule! What a waste of time

Every time I make an appointment it gets canceled or the provider isn’t available. This is the only place to get HRT treatment. The only other place is Wichita.

The front desk person asks personal information loudly in front of the whole waiting room. Name ,date of birth,why you are there,etc. Right beside the we respect your right for privacy sign. She was rude when I asked for a form to write it down. Waiting now 40 minutes past my appointment time. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS LOCATION!

This new location is so beautiful! There is a whole new team that are so fantastic. I had a great experience with the nurse, Sandra.

I went by myself and they were so nice to me. And I had no idea what to even get in terms or birth control but they walked me through everything and were very kind.

Don’t waste your time, patience or insurance/money they don’t treat you for anything here. Go to a real clinic or ER or anywhere else urgent care. But don’t waste your time going here.

I loved dealing with them. They are great. The secretary is very nice and very helpful

Every time I call in for an appointment, person that answer the phone doesn’t sound too friendly. Now today I called in a lady called Christal answered but hang up on me. Not even a call back nothing! Very rude

Astonishingly incompetent. The nurse practitioner cant even write a prescription correctly, and the staff wont answer the phone.
