Id really look elsewhere for OBGYN care. I did have a nice experience with them years a go with my first born but their practice has gone significantly down hill. There is no patient/dr. relationship... concerns arent heard, questions are ignored. If youre looking for real care, please research and look at alternatives.

The practice ask gone down hill. They no longer have time for their patients. I’ve called trying to make appointments 3 times and have been told they have none. So I’ve been misdiagnosed over the phone twice by crescent street and have been taking an unnecessary medication because they didn’t have the time to actually see me in office. After struggling with symptoms of an infection for almost the entire month of June I finally gave up trying to make an appointment with my Obgyn at crescent street and went to a walk in clinic where I was actually seen by a doctor and given the correct diagnosis and medication to clear my symptoms. It’s so frustrating and concerning trusting a practice that has no time for their patients when they are needed.

I was visiting Connecticut from out of state when I went into preterm labor and was assigned to Crescent St when I got to Middlesex Hospital. We had the pleasure of meeting all of the doctors during our stay in the hospital and I can honestly say everyone treated me with respect and love. I wasn’t pressured into any interventions and felt safe throughout my labor. I was grateful to have ended in the care of this practice!

Hello everyone, it’s quite unfortunate to see the reviews I have seen on this place although everyone’s experience is different. Hopefully mine will help you since it’s recent as far as pregnancy/birth. I have been in care with this OBGYN since I moved last minute from Florida to CT during my pregnancy. When I first moved out there I had went to the ER at Middlesex hospital twice. One time for really bad asthma and another time because I had a scare my baby wasn’t moving enough. When I went I didn’t have a OB yet because the one I was trying to work with was taking their sweet time with my records. A doctor called me shortly after leaving the ER inquiring about what OB was I with because they needed to send the records of me being at the ER. I told them how they were taking their time and I currently had no OB and they themselves offered to take me into their care at Crescent Street OBGYN when they seen I was being ignored and neglected and I needed a doctor asap because I was far into my pregnancy. Since the moment they took me in to ALL my appointments I have felt loved, welcomed, heard & cared for 100000%. I love how they try their best to do what’s safest for the baby and natural unless they have no choice or unless you want it and it’s safe. I knew after that I wanted to give birth at Middlesex Hospital which let me tell you, I ended up having to get induced and while people make it seem so scary and/or have traumatic experiences my doctors/nurses made it an experience I’ll truly miss and I plan to give birth for any future babies their as well & be in the care of the same OBGYN. Thank you guys for making my birth story one to remember happily ❤️🙌🏼. Glory to God.

The clinics inflexibility is disheartening. As a service member, my schedule fluctuates, and despite explaining this, they told me they need to speak with there team if I need to be dismissed due to being a patient due to frequent rescheduling. It reflects a lack of understanding for those with dynamic commitments. Healthcare providers should prioritize empathy and flexibility, especially when dealing with patients in professions where schedules change rapidly. This experience leaves me feeling unsupported and undervalued as a patient seeking essential care. I will be surely looking elsewhere for care.

I had my first baby through this clinic and it was fine. Nothing extraordinary about them. After experiencing 2 miscarriages in trying for our second, I made an appointment to request labs due to some concerns I had. I was immediately dismissed (they said I needed to have THREE miscarriages for them to do anything) and I had to push HARD to get them to run any sort of labs (and they still would not test my main request/concern which was to test progesterone). I also asked about her prescribing some progesterone to supplement with if I did get pregnant again and she said there was no research to support that, and that it would make me feel icky and had a ton of negative symptoms. I felt incredibly dismissed by my doctor who essentially told me to just keep trying to to relax. After my second loss and this appointment, I decided to switch to a midwife practice (who made me feel seen and heard from my very first appointment and spent 40!!!! minutes with me compared to the 10-15 I got at Crescent St, have called me on evenings and weekends, and have done extensive testing with me to ensure that we did not miss any red flags). I am now pregnant with our triple rainbow baby, have been on progesterone since 3.5 weeks when I found out and have no adverse symptoms or feel icky as the doctor here suggested I would feel.I do not recommend this clinic if you want doctors who care, who listen and who will actually stay up to date on current research.

Not giving a full 5 stars because Dr Bingham was very judgemental and basically lectured me when she asked how many partners Ive had. I was in my late teens and it was just awful. Being in the medical field myself, you are supposed to leave your judgment at home. To make matters worse she did it to my best friend a year or so later. This makes people want to lie to their Drs and thats not good! Also, shell make you feel awful if youre overweight and tells you to be vegan. Dr Flagg isnt much better with the fat shaming. Also, not sure who but someone at the front desk is lazy and doesnt want to do their job. I missed my appointment and got a voice mail to call back & reschedule. When I called back the person I spoke to said they didnt have anything available for months and couldnt book that far out. I got off the phone with her & called back and spoke to someone else and was scheduled in that same month. Dont work there if youre not going to do your job. Very unprofessional and straight up LAZY!

The Doctors are amazing and Dr. Bingham is one of the most amazing doctors I know. As for the front desk and receptionist… I cannot speak for all of them but I have had countless encounters with her over the phone and in person with her treating me poorly. As a patient who has been coming here for a few years I would expect their staff especially the ones who must communicate with every single patient to be nicer. Instead it’s the same thing with a nasty and unprofessional woman at the front desk answering my calls but mostly putting them on hold.

I called today to schedule to annual since I haven’t been because of Covid/ Life & was told they wouldn’t see me because I haven’t been since 2019 & would be considered a new patient & they aren’t taking new patients ?? Ummmm talk about patient abandonment . I am absolutely disgusted but ya know what? This is prolly a blessing in disguise because the last time I was there they made me wait over an hour & completely dismissed all my issues.

I went there due to bleeding I was having. I was told that I was not yet in menopause. I never got to have my dream of having children. I specifically asked that she not recommend any procedure that would destroy my chance at having children. Bony, I think her name was. Just because of where I am personally at mentally with this, I still wanted hope and control of my own body. Well, she signs me up for a procedure that sounds great. If I was stupid and trusting, I would have went through with it! Would they have told me the day of? Because I went home and looked it up and read that it would destroy my chances of ever having children! Needless to say, I dont trust these doctors now. I dont ever want to go back. The fact that she called and left me messages of care and concern???? Wondering if I was still having bleeding???? Just creeped me out!!!!!!!!!!

Ive been a patient at Crescent street for a few years. They are one of the few doctors offices that have a great group of doctors AND a friendly and highly competent office staff. Ive had two pregnancies and healthy babies delivered with them and they do a great job of listening to a mothers birth plan/desires and then helping to pivot if needed. I also really like that they do a postpartum visit before the traditional 6 week check up. I cant say enough good things about my experiences with them and would highly recommend them.

So I’ve been having chronic pain associated with my periods even when I’m not on it. So I came into this office for the third time after getting an IUD put in because they didn’t listen to me the first two times and said this would help the pain. It has not helped the pain much and when I tried to explain that to my physician she told me that I need to lose weight and picked apart everything that I eat in a day or on a regular basis. She then made me feel shamed about very personal matters and when I began to cry and show emotion she asked me if I was depressed. I am not depressed I was just really hurt by all of the things being said to me. I was then told to come back in 2 months and if I’ve made a lifestyle change (losing weight and eating better) then they would consider testing me for and underlying health issue. Honestly if I could give this place 0 stars I really would and I don’t think I’m going to be coming back in 2 months or ever. Whether she meant what she said or not physicians are there to help women and make them feel supported not tear them down and judge everything they do and blame their pain on them. Also I felt offended not just for myself but for other women in my situation who are not able to buy all of these expensive foods I was told I need to buy to feel better (which is not true) I felt that that was an extremely privileged mindset to have. Not to mention the unhealthy relationship with food that this could cause for people and the other conditions it could lead to. I left my appointment very disheartened and upset and I will not be returning. I’m sure there are great physicians in this office so I don’t want to lump them all into the category of this one doctor; However, no one should speak to a patient the way I was spoken to. Especially in this vulnerable situation.

I was referred to this practice by my primary care physician. My first 2019 visit (and first OBGYN experience) went well with Dr. Erica Smith. Then, COVID happened and a few years went by before I felt comfortable. Fast forward to 2022, I had to start fresh as a new patient. I took the steps and got an appointment (right before I was to turn 26 and change insurance plans.) Once again, Dr. Smith was great. I needed a follow up scheduled to get a quick procedure done and the doctor said try and come back next week.Went to the reception to ask for a new appointment, they said they’d call me (back in April of 2022…) It’s now December and I never received a call.I call today, Friday Dec. 2 at 1:54 PM specifically because I know they don’t answer during lunch hours. It went to the automatic answering and eventually connected to an outside contact who told me the office is closed today, that calls were being forwarded and to call back Monday to make an appointment. Why is the office entirely closed during regular business hours on a weekday!? Scheduling an appointment here is annoyingly difficult for no reason.Update - I called again at 2:50 the same day, someone answered as Crescent Street OBGYN Service. I mentioned wanting to schedule an appointment and before I could finish my sentence they HUNG UP. What is going on with this place…

Ive gone to this practice for many years, but recently have felt brushed aside. Last few appointments I waited a really long time and several pregnant patients were taken before me. Im in my 50s and my issues are regarding age. I do not feel that they have knowledge in this area and are generally geared towards pregnancy. There are a few doctors here that I do not like at all, but I wont mention any names. I had an outstanding bill and have sent several checks they have not cashed. They have called me during the day regarding my balance, and because Im working, I am unable to speak to their billing person. Why are you not cashing my payment ?? Im currently looking for another GYN office who actually cares about an older patient and not making money from only pregnant patients. Also, your billing department is not receiving my payments...why??? Very disappointed here and Ive been a patient of yours for years. Im done and will be moving on to a practice who cares. If your pregnant, I am sure they are attentive, as I have experienced being brushed aside, if your in menopause, stay away from this practice.

All nurses, doctors, and admin staff has always provided the best of can and respect whenever I call or come to an appointment. How ever I am currently weeks away with my second child and never felt more confident in there abilities to care for me and my in born child. They are always ready and willing to take my calls of concerns I have. There are many doctors in other facilities that not only make me feel anxious or use that doctor tone that makes you feel like you don’t know anything. However crescent street doctors have always made me feel secure and comfortable. I would recommend this place if you are expecting a little one.

This review I was not going to make but I feel compelled to at this time. 1st. Dr. Bony was a star. Dr. McLeod was very good as well. Joanne the nurse is very nice and good. Drs. Flagg and Bingham are two of the worst doctors I have had the unfortunate experience of seeing. Bingham thinks it’s appropriate to ridicule, belittle and behave like being Vegan is the only way to exist. Bingham will make you feel like you are dumb and failing so I’d stay away from her unless of course you’re into paying people to be abusive when that’s the last thing you probably need in your life.If you value your privacy I would also look elsewhere. I personally overheard conversations staff had about individual’s protected personal health information (and about each other). Some of this is unavoidable because of the office layout but at least one occasion (I took notes) definitely avoidable and as a result of what I heard I left conflicted about continuing care and considered figuring out how to file a HIPAA complaint. There are other inconsistencies as well which I suspect stems from certain doctors/bias so I will just say it’s in your best interest to know what you are entitled to/what you might get for care if you went elsewhere. Finally, the staff answering the phones/checking in/out are at times personable to certain people but more often than not rude in my observation with others and personal interaction on occasion. I do not blame them. I think they are slammed at times and the environment fostered by rude doctors who probably aren’t treating their staff exceptionally well is what it is. It’s awesome to think this is an all women team but it’s a toxic team/environment.There are positives but the issues outweigh here so if you’re going once a year this may not be a horrible experience. If you’ve got a medical issue or you’re pregnant I think you can do better.

I had been going to Crescent Street OBGYN since 2010. In 2013 I had a major medical emergency and was dismissed when I went there with a fever of 101 and vaginal issues being told by Dr. Flagg I most likely had the flu or a STD. I explained I had been married to my husband for 8 years and she let me know I shouldn’t trust him. 24 hours later I was in the ER and admitted to the hospital for an abscess and removal of my right ovary. Dr Flagg whipped into my hospital room and announced in front of my husband and entire family “Well you don’t have a STD!” I spent 2 weeks in the hospital. When I went for a follow up appointment once I recovered , Flagg told me “Bad things happen to overweight people” .A year later, I was blessed to be pregnant. I had lost weight thanks to some really good advice received from Dr.Flagg such as mindful eating regular walking and joining MyFitnessPal. She did a great job there and I listened to her. Dr. Bony was my regular doctor, however I saw almost every Dr. In the practice during my pregnancy. Dr.Flagg ultimately delivered my baby via C-section after I begged to try to push. She had told me months before that I would need a c-section because I was overweight in spite of my healthy pregnancy. After I had my child, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos disease and anemia. When I went for my annual appointment, Dr. Bingham had told me I had “lost control” and to become a vegan. Which I learned later was very dangerous advice to give to someone who is anemic - a referral to a nutritionist would have been a better idea.A few months ago, I called to make an appointment as I had been having horrible monthly cycles and extreme pain. I was told because I hadn’t been seen in 2 years (due to the pandemic and lack of appointments available) that they needed to treat me as a new patient. When I pushed back citing my history with the practice, I was hung up on several time by China (receptionist) then told I was verbally abusive. I found a new OBGYN.Bottom line, this practice will not take any health conditions seriously if you are remotely overweight. They blame you for your health issues even if you are otherwise healthy. Some doctors there clearly have a vegan agenda and if you don’t align with that belief you will be dismissed. The office staff are incredibly rude and are in need of major customer service training. I understand being overweight causes some health issues but not all the time. Being an ignorant and judgmental Dr. causes more significant issues.

The first time, the receptionist on the phone was super rude when she told me I needed to call back at 1:00pm to make the appointment, when the people who make the appointments will be back. I just call today, I said I needed an appointment. They asked me my date of birth, I gave it to her and say I was going to be a new patient. She then passed me with someone else, and they kept me on the phone, waiting, for over 10 minutes. I just hung up the phone. If this happens when I was trying to make an appointment for the first time, imagine how they will treat me when Im already a patient.

This place is great... Until its not. Change Doctors as soon as you have a bad experience. Do not give them the benefit of the doubt. It will not get better. I wish I had done so sooner but was hesitant because of the pandemic. If you do stay-- insist on seeing the same doctor each time. I got a revolving door and ended up with them all playing a game of telephone with each other. There were appointments where the wait was over an hour. You never know when that will be the case so just be ready. On the positive side my baby was born healthy at 37 weeks. I just got to deal with a ton of grief before and after the birth.Since I got a rotated through, here is my general impression of each of the doctors I saw. I hope this helps anyone that wants to have care through the practice.Katie Spiess, C.N.M - She will take time to answer questions you have. She was kind and competent when I talked to her. There are things that she cant approve or do as they would need to be done by a doctor.Laura G. Bony, M.D. - Cares about her patients but seems rushed... All the time.Julie S. Flagg, M.D. - Same as Dr. Bony. Cares but seems to be rushing through.Carla E. McLeod, M.D. - I didnt interact with Dr.McLeod much but she was very to the point when I did - it was a good thing. She did listen to me and address my worries.Erica B. Smith, M.D. - Wasnt rushed but seemed annoyed at most appointments.Front office staff/nurses : Wonderful for what they could do. The only thing I can say is if a patient requests to have a doctor call back. Have them call back. I get that they are busy and as a nurse your trying to take some of the load off them but if a patient has reached the point they are requesting a doctor there probably isnt much more you can do.Individually each of the doctors are good. It just doesnt seem like they work well as a team and my care felt like they where playing a game of hot potato.

Although I have a high regard for medicine and medical staff ; it is imperative that Christina Fantoni, Nurse midwife andDr. Carla McLeod listens to their patients. It is highly disrespectful to place judgment on any patient based on their personal biases: the matter at hand is about hormones, and to rule out menopause by suggesting that my symptoms are “ in my head “ is unprofessional. This suggestion has made the patient-doctor relationship nearly impossible. I usually have a positive rapport and good experience with physicians and medical personnel; unfortunately, this was NOT one of them.If you have any womens health issues - seek other facilities unless you don’t mind the staff thinking that “it is all in your head.”

Then after the fact, they wanted to see me and would only provide a note for time off from work if I came into the office. On top that they even questioned my reasoning for wanting some time off. A very cold-hearted facility.Yes that is correct I never had physically been into the office:1. Unfortunately did not continue the pregnancy to make it to my scheduled 9 week prenatal exam.2. The nurse told me not to come in for an appointment I made due to sever cramping and bleeding, after seeing the results of the ordered HCG test. The nurse told me I was too early according to the results, even after I told her I knew exactly how far along I was (6 wks). I told her I was concerned it may be ectopic. She offered no advice as to signs and symptoms to watch for and said to wait 48 hrs for another HCG test. The nurse then said dont call us, I will call you when I get the results.3. After the 48 hrs and waiting all day for a call, I finally called the office and spoke with the nurse who told me the HCG levels dropped. She asked if I wanted to come into the office to talk, stating we will not be doing an ultrasound. I never asked for one and said I would not like to come in, as I did not want to go to a facility whom I felt treated me so poorly. I then asked for a note for having missed a few days of work. The nurse responded with why are you in pain, then after speaking with the doctor said they would not give a note unless they actually see me.The lack of professionalism and compassion is extremely distressing. I hope that some changes are made to youre facilities procedures so something serious doesnt happen to someone.

The experience definitely depends on which doc you see. I saw the same one my last 2 visits. She couldnt answer my questions either visit and just shoved them under the rug instead of admitting she didnt know and offering to find out. Just felt like a big waste of time. She just basically laid eyes on me and spoke at me the same things both times: a list of books, told me to wear my seatbelt, and asked if I had gotten the flu. Did not even bother asking if the terrible nausea from acid reflux had improved. This experience (&that it happened twice with her) has bothered me quite a bit.

She told me, but they have great reviews..., apparently my old review was taken down. I was shamed here too years ago. Im reposting this for my friend and all other women who seek an obgyn. Dr. Flagg will call you fat, and believes that being overweight is the problem of all obgyn problems. Am I overweight? Yes. However, I do not have endometriosis, adenomyosis or PCOS as a result of being overweight. I have plenty of people in my family who are thin and healthy and have endometriosis as well. They will shame you even if you are not overweight, and thats exactly what they did to my friend. So..if you DONT want to be helped and shamed and want your body only treated like a baby making machine...sure...go here. Thats all they care about. Delivering babies. I went in with high hopes of diagnosing the chronic pain I’ve had every time my cycle hit. Not to get into personal issues but I’ve gained 20 pounds very quickly and eat extremely well, coupled with heavy cycles and pain that leaves me unable to speak or walk. I’ve called out of work because of it and when asking for an ultrasound or examination I was told “eat more celery and carrots because you’re overweight. And take ibuprofen. Have a good day.” This brought me to tears and I will never be coming back. It’s one thing to acknowledge weight as a symptom of an underlying problem but to ignore my requests and boot me out the door was a terrible experience and I will definitely not bother coming back here.

Crescent street OBGYN has been very wonderful to my growing family throughout the entire pregnancy. The doctors and staff are very welcoming and considerate to us. I would recommend to any friends/family.

Called to make an appointment, was put on hold multiple times, even hung up on and had to call back. I had to go over my information more than once and the location of my appointment more than once. After one time of being put on hold, someone started talking but it was for someone else. When I said no this is not that person, she just put me right back on hold without a word. After multiple times being asked “is it okay to put you on hold” without even the courtesy to wait for my reply, I was annoyed. I’ve been here before and never in the past has it been so difficult to make an appointment. Something that should’ve taken 5 minutes took a little over 30. When I finally got an appointment, she didn’t even say the date twice just hung up - which has never happened when making any appointment anywhere before. Subpar service in my opinion and lack of communication on their end.Edit: the first time I called today, I said I would like a check up and the woman didn’t say anything for a moment. An check up? I was like yeah the annual thing that you have to do at an office like this. An annual check up. I don’t know why that was even questioned.

My entire experience was great. I was greeted promptly by the front staff and taken in a few minutes after. I had an appointment with Dr. Bingham who addressed all of my concerns and listened to what I was saying. Didn’t feel rushed— all around great experience. Highly recommend

I’ve been going to Crescent Street for 11 years and love it here. The doctors are knowledgeable and helpful and make you feel very comfortable. They’re great with prescriptions too and are flexible with appointments. I travel back from NYC just to go here!

I have been with Crescent St. since I was a teenager. Everyone who works there is amazing! From the doctors to the front desk staff and the nurses. Even after moving out of the area I refused to find a new practice.

I LOVE this place. Everyone there is awesome. They are so nice. I rather drive 20 minutes to go there instead of somewhere else. The doctors are great! The place is very clean. I honestly have nothing to complain about. Keep up the good job 👏 l

They canceled my appointment just because my kids were with me and I dont have any body to watch them. The lady at the reception was so mean to me. I told her I drove 30 min to come to the appointment and with my morning work I could barely make it this time. I wont go there again. Hate the way they treated me 😔
