Excellent care and attention to my medical issue. Dr. Lisa was super supportive and knowledge about the issue that brought me into the office.. Offered advice and solutions.Support staff very friendly and helpful. Got me an appointment in a timely manner.

Amy Goetz P. A.-C was absolutely awesome! She took her with me to explain everything happening and what I need to do going forward. Karina- (I hope I got her name right) she was just as wonderful. So sweet and courteous. Also receptionist as well greeting me with a smile. I love everyone in the office. A very comfortable atmosphere. Made me feel good. I would definitely recommend Dr Gautas office.

The front office staff were very kind, considerate, and professional. I saw the PA whose name was Nicole Houser. I can’t believe how patient she was. She listened to everything and discussed possible courses of action. This is obviously a difficult medical situation to be in but Nicole made it so relaxed and straightforward. I would highly recommend this office.

I have been very pleased with the care I have received so far. I have felt comfortable and confident in all of the staff and Physicians . Today I saw Dr. Gauta , I was impressed with his caring attitude and the reassurance that I was choosing the right plan of care for me after giving me the options. My first time to get a bladder examination relating to my symptoms turned out to be a wonderful experience at the Bladder Institute. I was a new patient I went on a Tuesday 8/27/24 seen with no infection clean urine sample and Wednesday 8/28/24 night I was so sick and on Thursday morning I was in the emergency room with a massive UTI infection and admitted into the hospital and put on IV antibiotics. Apparently they need better sterilization techniques put in place. I called the office on Wednesday at 3 in the morning because I was violently ill and was told only patients who had surgery with in the past 4 weeks were considered an emergency and to call the office at 8 am when they open and I did and I told them what my symptoms were and was told to call my primary care doctor that it sounded like I had a kidney stone. I told them I was going to the emergency room and tell them what happened to me in their office and they told me to go ahead. I also got a text that my follow appointment was cancelled by some unforeseen reason. I updated my review to show the date of service as in the reply they don’t seem to remember my calls to the service at 3 am or calling the office at 8am Thursday morning and talking to the office staff who relayed my ailments to the nurse on staff that day. Really unbelievable treatment of a patient. I am so very disappointed. Very poor office management.

Very nice office staff, unfortunately waited over an hr before I was seen.But once I went back with apologies, everything went fine from there Amy was so kind, thorough and understanding. I also meet Dr. Gauta and everything was explained and I was made to feel comfortable for a very uncomfortable subject.

Doctor Gauta is the only GYN who truly understands my complicated history. He is the only GYN I would ever consider having a minor procedure to my hysterectomy by. He is the reason I have my 2 amazing children with terrible endometriosis. Thank you Dr. Gauta for everything!

They make it VERY clear to be at office 1/2 hour before appointment telling you your appointment could be in jeopardy if not there.Got there 40 minutes early for a 11:00 only to have a woman who did not have an appointment walk in and be taken before me by the doctor I was to see. Only when I complained after waiting 20 minutes past appointment time was I taken.Poor first impression. Doctor Mark definitely saved them, she is excellent in my book.

I’ve been a patient at the Florida Bladder Institute for three years and I’m continually amazed at the knowledge and skill and care and concern of Dr. Gauta… And that is also reflected in his entire staff… Because HE is the best, THEY are the best!

I had a 3:30 appt.; was told I had to be there at 3 so arrived at 2:58. There did not appear to be any reason for this early arrival, as I paid in about 3-5 minutes, and sat waiting for another 40 minutes. Also, Dr. Gauta said he was sending in a prescription to Bonita Pharmacy that afternoon as I left. I went to pick it up today, (Saturday); it was not yet received. Called the office, from pharmacy, could not speak to a nurse to get the prescription sent over. Pharmacy will be closed for holiday on Monday, so would like to get it today (Saturday). Thank you

He is honestly a god send. The first doctor to listen to me and care after years of trying to get treatment for what turned out to be endometriosis and adenomyosis. He gave me all available treatment options and allowed me to choose what I felt was best for me. I had surgery, and he is highly skilled at what he does. I am rewriting my review 3 years later. Dr Gauta saved my moms life and also changed the quality of her life. She went to MANY gyns and urologists who all said there was no way to fix her problem. The solutions they offered were not even close to acceptable. My mom suffered a decade of painful UTIs and is now resistant to most antibiotics. She was on IV antibiotics for years. FORTUNATELY Dr. Gauta not only had a better understanding of the problem but corrected it surgically and she was up and walking the next day. 3 years later my mom has not had a single UTI. If you think there is no hope just take one more chance on being cured and see this doctor.

Ive been suffering with pressure and pain in my pelvic area for months and been to a number of different doctors. I hadnt felt this good about my situation until today, Amy listened to my issue and told me we would get to the bottom of it. I wish I could see her for all my health related things.

From the beginning, Dr Gauta and his staff were the most professional and caring staff I’ve ever dealt with. I had a very upsetting medical situation and was disappointed with my own doctor’s inability and lack of desire to even diagnose me. The issue itself was not a big deal to my local doctor sadly. After a lot of research, I found Dr Gauta to be one of the most highly sought after surgeons for my issue. His office got me in right away, diagnosed my issue and gave me several options for treatment inclusive of surgery. One month later, I drove down to Naples from St Augustine for surgery, where the staff at the surgical center, as well as Dr Gauta’s direct staff, were nothing short of amazing. After surgery, they were attentive and compassionate.I am now a little over two Weeks post-op and doing very well. Over the past two weeks, any time I called the office or emailed the patient portal with questions, I got immediate responses and calls from the surgical staff.I cannot recommend this office enough for any pelvic organ issues you may have, even if you are not looking for surgery. They are wonderful.

Complicated pregnancy caused prolapse at an early age and Dr. Gauta had non-invasive and invasive recommendations. We are proceeding with both and after my sling surgery I had normal swelling and voiding issues. He listened to my concerns. I was having an incontinence problem, a dropped bladder. I had this problem for 20 yrs. It was only this past year that it was getting worse. It was becoming more embarrassing & I stopped all outside activity. I went online looking for a doctor for help. Dr. Joseph Gauta’s name was the first I saw along with the name of his practice Bladder Institute of Florida. I read as much as I could about him along with all the patient reviews. I decided to go to Dr. Gauta. I’m very uneasy about going to doctors, but Dr. Gauta made me feel relaxed & at ease right away. His knowledge & a solution for me was discussed. A date was scheduled for me to have surgery at the Surgery Center of Naples. It was as an outpatient & I have to say the experience was wonderful. The staff there couldn’t have been better. I’ve since had my follow up appt. at Dr. Gauta’s & everything was deemed well. Just have to wait a few more weeks to heal. I feel like I have my life back now. Though gynecologist appointments can bring as much stress as the dentist, the rest of my experience here is always so enjoyable. The front desk girls are so kind and sweet, always greeting me with warmth. The nurses I see before my doctor are equally as friendly. Good, productive conversation and guidance. Lastly, my doctor Nicole is so calming and kind that it almost feels like a friend vs a doctor. She is always so pleasant and knowledgeable without any judgement. I’ve seen the other doctor as well, just as wonderful. I love it here. Have been coming for years and don’t see that changing!

I put off prolapse procedure for two years until I found Dr. Gauta. He gave me my active life back. Repaired my blatter and removed my girl stuff. Did an excellent job and I rebounded well. His staff was wonderful and knowledgeable. Thank you Dr. and PA.

Dr Gauta is without a doubt the best doctor I have ever had. He takes the time to explain everything and always tries to make sure you as the patient understand why he is telling you what he does. The staff is also well trained in women’s issues. He also takes care of my 91-year-old mother. He has helped her with issues that no one else has been able to help her with. I just do not find that the doctors or the medical care is good here in Naples and so far have only found 2 doctors here in Naples that I like and I find very knowledgeable. Dr. Gauta is one of them. He is a breath of fresh air when I find dealing with the doctors here are very frustrating. My mothers doctor recommended him to us for her frequent utis and now I am thinking of making him my gynecologist. You are never hurried in his office, he takes the time to explain, hes very knowledgeable and compassionate. He really cares about the patient. I cant find anything wrong with him. For once I left the doctors office not feeling angry as I usually do, but feeling good.

In May my husband and I made our permanent residence in Florida. I was fortunate to receive a referral from a friend for Dr Joseph Gauta. Dr Gauta articulated my disorder thoroughly on the Florida Bladder Institute website and I felt confident that I had the right doctor. When I met with Dr Gauta for my appointment he was positive, happy and he joked to make me feel at ease. He explained the details of my surgical procedure and he performed my surgery according to my individual needs. He is a thorough, highly talented and caring surgeon! Dr. Thompson was incredibly wonderful today she was very thorough she went above and beyond and made sure no matter what we will figure this out and get me better. I have been going through pain and suffering for a long time and today i felt like there may soon finally be an answer to what this is and a solution. She listened to all of my symptoms and concerns and we will take it one step at a time and try everything until im better. When i had the ultrasound today Jordan was incredible also she has so much care and passion to help and it meant the world to me specially in these times that she showed so much kindness and was very sympathetic to my situation and went above and beyond she was truly wonderful. Dr Gauta is a great surgeon. However do not use the patient portal for requesting or cancelling an appointment. I had to cancel some appointments and the person who responded to the portal would then send back an appointment time without my confirmation thus not allowing me to see Dr. Gauta.The heavy set woman in the front office has the personality of a wet mop

Funny how my post was taken down after 2 years.Dr. Gauta is solely responsible . However,the wholeStaff included is responsible.This Dr. and practice will be under serious repercussions that will do right by me and prevent others from going through the same. To say to me that I can’t have intercourse and anything in me for weeks- after a complete hysterectomy- and a week following to check me the nurse stuck her fingers up me. The nurse made me bleed again and no respect for the doctor order or my well being.Also, during the procedure, there was equipment failure and a blown fuse. Then, I was given Ancef that caused a reaction that almost killed me. I had to be put on shots of epinephrine. More to it now as I am seeking legal counsel as he clearly displayed malpractice, both with diagnosis and surgical procedure and follow up. I now have to see an oncologist on August 3rd. If there is a serious problem, your office will be under serious financial obligation for extra pain and suffering.

Dr. Gauta and his staff have been wonderful during the 20 years I have been a patient. I was pregnant 15 years ago and Dr. Gauta was my OB. My pregnancy was normal, until it wasn’t. Dr. Gauta helped us make decisions that allowed me to have a preemie, but a healthy preemie. I have continued to be a patient and see his PA for my visits. Highly recommend Dr. Gauta and his staff.

My experience with Dr. Gauta has been the best. Bedside manners are excellent and I have been more than satisfied and happy with the service I have received. His staff is extremely helpful and courteous. This has been the best decision I have made in choosing Dr. Gauta for my needs.

I had a surgery done by a different doctor, who went above and beyond in the worst sense of the term; the surgery wasnt indicated for my condition. That was over 2 years ago. After that surgery problems started with pain in my abdomen including the rectum area and the pelvis. Since I was never explained about the extent of that surgery, I was looking elsewhere for help, including GI doctor, ER visit and a gynecologist. who sent me to Dr. Gauta. It was him who found a piece of mesh sticking out causing bleeding. I was so taken aback that I went to seek a second opinion where I ended up having some of the mesh removed, but I was still in pain. The doctor was telling me that the pain will never go away because it was caused by the original (wrong) surgery. Eventually I came back to Dr. Gauta who was able to fix all my problems and the pain - miraculously - went away. In fact, I think, it was Dr. Gautas skills (golden hands) that I am now pain-free. My only regret is that I had not met Dr. Gauta first. I will be forever grateful for he has done for me!!!

The check in process was quick and easy: Gail was so kind and professional and answered the questions that she could. Dr.Gauta is so helpful and provided me several options in determining the cause of my symptoms . All in all, my first visit was very good. I am returning for follow up testing. I will certainly recommend this office staff and Dr. Gauta to all.

I have had many accidents over the years, wetting my pants because I couldn’t get them pulled down fast enough before sitting on the toilet! After Dr Gauta’s Botox procedure, I have had no more accidents! The urine stays right in my bladder until I sit down on the toilet to let it out! I thank God, and I thank Dr. Gauta and his assistants for helping me overcome my leakage problem! They are the best!

Its been a year since I had Dr. Gauta repair several issues.  Unfortunately, my symptoms are no better and I have new issues as well.Both the administrative and medical staffs do a great job as long as everything goes according to their plan.  If it doesnt, the admin staff gets belligerent and the medical staff says repeatedly, Im sorry, this sometimes just happens.    The day after my surgery I called in since the prescription was not helping my pain.  I can still hear the NPs voice, I think youre good, this is what we give.  Well I wasnt good, I was in pain.  For almost 2 weeks I had pain, discomfort so bad that I couldnt walk, swelling so bad I couldnt sit down and fatigue so bad that I lost 10 lbs.  All I heard was, Im sorry, this sometimes just happens.   No one had an answer.  I was shocked that only a week later I was released with no follow up even though I was nowhere near back to normal.  I havent been back  to see Dr. Gauta because the trauma of those 2 weeks was so bad that I cant make myself go back up there.TIP:  Go to an OBGYN and get very detailed solutions including surgical techniques.  Do the same for a urologist.  AND once more at a teaching hospital.  Its a lot of money and time but youve got to get it right and you dont want to end up like me --  only 55 years old with a crappy quality of life.

I am a veteran and was sent to this office. All I have is my veteran ID as my proof of insurance with the VA. I walked in greeted with attitude, rolling of eyes, smirking,Etc.. I havent even met the Doctor yet. I am completely irritated and will be discussing my experience as soon as I meet this doctor.

From my first phone call to my testing and visit with Amber and Dr. Gauta impressed me. Anne did my testing, Jordan and Kristen took care of me at the front desk and in the exam room. All were very kind, considerate and professional.

Forever grateful to have found Dr.Gauta. only 38yrs old & have had bladder issues 20yrs. I used every urologist in my area with no luck whatsoever. Desperate I searched everywhere in Florida I found Florida Bladder Institute 2.5 hours away & was willing to drive to see if I would have any luck. Dr. Gauta is simply the best, both as a medical specialist and a surgeon. I have a complicated medical history that includes extensive Endometriosis, PCOS and Interstitial cystitis. At 3 months post op from a hysterectomy & endometriosis removal I am thrilled to say I am pain free and fully recovered. No doubt this is due to Dr. Gautas extensive knowledge as a doctor, and talented skill as a surgeon. Also his office team and nursing staff are friendly, professional and helpful.

Its still early in my treatment but Dr. Gauta recommended a 6 month long treatment plan and Im so optimistic. He explained everything and it made sense to me. Urologists and Gynecologists individually were not able to put the pieces together like Dr Gauta.

From the first impressions, the staff was warm and friendly. That gives me, as a patient, confidence and ease. Dr. Gauta, was the same and am thankful for his professionalism and thoroughness and going further to discover any other women problems that I was not aware of. Thank you!

Terrible patient care. No empathy towards patients chronic medical condition and not willing to go outside his own treatment plan even though it is not effective.Lets patients suffer in pain. Not willing to help patient with paperwork so patient can keep getting money in to support family when she cant work because Dr. Gauta not knowledgeable enough to treat patient correctly. I would give zero stars if that were an option.

I felt bullied the first minute making an appointment, I felt bullied when I received a confirmation phone call to say it is mandatory to arrive 30 minutes before my appointment. I felt bullied when asked for my insurance card and license, I was handed paper work and told it needs to be completed in 10 minutes. They do not let you fill out paperwork prior to your appointment. Before I could even start to fill out the paperwork I was asked to pay my co-pay $208. I said I will hurry and fill this out and then pull out my credit card and she said she needs it now -it’s policy. If this is the policy to be bullied before seeing a medical professional, I can’t even imagine how rushed the appointment will be. I did not stay - I will not pay to be bullied at 50+ years old.

I am surprised and disappointed that the professionals and employees do not wear masks when we are in the middle of a pandemic. All medical offices I have visited in the past year and a half have required masks. Nobody in this office wore one. My husband has cancer so I need to be very careful not to carry disease home to him.

Dr. Gauta took his time to explain in detail my diagnosis and treatment options. He is always professional and thorough. His office and medical staff have always been courteous and responsive to my concerns.

Dr Gauta has been great over the years from when I was having babies to now that I am done and having Essure. He and his staff have been helpful and informative, and are quick to get me in as needed.
