Dr. Whitney Shoemaker

I have had multiple surgeries with Dr Shoemaker with great results. For me, it is her compassion that sets her far above anyone else. I have had mult back and nasal surgeries in last 4 yrs, she is the ONLY surgeon who literally holds my hand while I am being put to sleep, always. She personally calls next day to check on me. Her staff is just as amazing and I would not trust anyone else eith my care. Thankful I found her!

I had not been here in a few years but they were able to see me the same week I called. I love Dani and I had a good experience with the nurse who took my vitals as well. I have always felt like here they truly listen to you and take your thoughts and experiences into consideration. Good bedside manner, friendly, professional, and helpful. One of the few doctors office experiences I have been able to count on in my life. They also make an effort to make a doctors appointment experience more pleasant with soothing music, robes, and coffee available. Thank you !

Dr. Shoemaker is unethical and money hungry.I was looking for HRT during perimenopause.She said she could only prescribe hormones after she would perform an uterine ablasion.I had no need for one. Im totally healthy.She changed my records to facilitate the insurance approval.On my way out they were ready to schedule the procedure.Needless to say, I never returned.Now imagine how many women dont know better and fall for that absurd sales talk. Shameful.

This office is fantastic! From checking in - seeing Dr. Shoemaker, D.O.,F.A.C.O.O.G. (who is very smart and informative) and checking out EVERYTHING is perfect. It is like a well running engine. They ( Erin, Tera & Kaylee) all work together to make sure your visit is amazing. They’re friendly & knowledgeable. I am from NSB & it is worth the drive!!!!!

Dr. Shoemaker was spot on with recommending and ordering bio identical hrt. My Cardiologist was very pleased with how the HRT lowered my dangerous levels of lipids. I wasn’t able to take statins. My LDL was 201 before my HRT treatment after testing all my lipids the levels are now within normal limits.. All this could have been prevented if Doctors were educated in hormone replacement vs. highly expensive pharmaceuticals.By the way I am 75 and my brain fog and mood swings are much improved. All hormones are made in a compounding pharmacy from the Yam plant. Thanks Dr Shoemaker.😁

She took amazing care of my mother here in PA. Highly personable and knowledgeable. All of her staff as well. Loved her office here very modern and comfortable. She inspired me to go into medicine.

The office staff is very unprofessional and lacks basic compassion. Tara who always seems to be there answering the calls (when you can even reach the office) and sitting at the front is very unpleasant. You’ll know exactly who she is upon entering after reading such a review and that speaks volumes. It’s a shame that the Dr has someone with a lack of personality and professionalism working at her front desk being the face of the office.Very cute office if that served anyone at all. The Dr seems to love what she does but every single interaction I have ever had with Tara, her main office staff, has been unpleasant and a hassle unfortunately.I am trying to have a procedure done but because they want me to pay upfront rather than after they bill insurance and I didn’t have the $1000+ right before the holidays so it put me in a position to need to cancel until I could properly prepare for something like that. When I went back they seem to be inadequately staffed per the amount of patients they’re taking on and still lack pleasant interactions and a calming atmosphere which someone would seek in an environment such as a med spa and gynecology center. To top it off, it would be beneficial to know, that the Dr. spends only two days a week seeing the new patients that they’re still accepting when they are too inundated to give anyone the proper care or attention that should be a basic standard. The rest of the time is spent operating and performing procedures which I’m sure is where the money is at. I think that tells all you need to know about the way they operate and what they truly care about.

GOD syndrome. She refuses to communicate. No calls, no telledoc, no email, no text…. A doctor who is cool with going inside of you, performing surgery … but questions? Concerns? Fears? NOPE! Take off of work… use your PTO… lose hundreds in commissions to ASK QUESTIONS!?!? Disgrace to the medical field.

The front desk staff is rude, condescending and completely inappropriate. I walked in for my appointment to be met with snotty attitude and tone from their front desk person telling me that my insurance company denied my claim, and they would not see me until it was paid (a $390 Balance). Her comment was “you need to call them and don’t let them tell you there’s a billing issue because all my codes are correct”!This was not communicated, or provided to me prior to my appointment, so that the issue could be addressed and I could be seen as scheduled. There was no consideration for the time, energy or resources that I put into making myself available and on time for a scheduled appointment. After spending 30 minutes on the phone with my insurance company, we were able to surmise that the doctors office was showing is out of network, after some research, they realize that their office is in network and submitted the corrected paperwork. I went back to the front desk, provided the staff member with the reference number, and explained to her what they told me had happened. After repeatedly arguing with me that that is not what happened and that that’s impossible and they are in network, basically talking over me and yelling at me, I took a sharp tone with her and told her she was not listening. She then told me they would not see me until the balance was paid or insurance was repossessed. Their staff is disrespectful, unorganized, and a complete joke. She never even apologized for wasting my time.She then informed me that I could call on Monday to speak to Dr. Shoemaker because there’s no office manager and it’s not her problem. I have never been treated so rudely. Dr. Shoemaker, I highly suggest you evaluate your office staff because they just cost you not only an annual customer, but somebody that was very interested in several Medispa services, over at $390 insurance insurance billing error

She is money hungry and tries to force women to get a risky ablation (if it doesn’t work you have to get an hysterectomy) instead of a simple prescription. She minimized my pain and was awful in general. Google her to find info on her DUIs and medical malpractice in another state. Beware!

Horrible experience. I called to make an appt to get my Nexplanon implant replaced & even wrote it on my new patient paperwork checking in. The lady at the front desk was rude and didn’t say but two words to me and then I got back to the exam room and the doctor proceeded to tell me they don’t do implants there. A waste of appointment and waste of taking two hours off of work for nothing that I could’ve been paid for. I feel like they should owe me two hours of my paycheck for nothing. Will not go back.

Wish zero stars was an option, front staff is rude and incompetent. Said they found out Tuesday they didnt take my insurance, but never bothered to inform me until I showed up for my appointment Wednesday afternoon that I had to take 2 hours off of work for. They also proceeded to inform me Id be charged for my first appointment, nearly $500. All because my insurance is through market place. Give your money to literally anyone else.

I had an exceptional visit with Dr. Shoemaker. She was thorough, extremely empathetic and heard all my concerns. I have no doubt I chose the right doctor. The office staff were exceptional..Allie, Amanda, Donna, Tara and Anita. They were kind and very thorough.A great team which I am delighted to say I am now a part of.

I am extremely pleased and grateful to Dr. Shoemaker, who listened to my complaints of symptoms that previous physicians just dismissed. After talking, examining, and diagnostics what Dr Shoemaker surmised was the problem was 100% accurate. The findings required a surgical procedure which was performed by Dr. Shoemaker, and she explained and answered all my questions and visited with me both before and after my procedure to make sure I was comfortable and I didnt have any additional concerns or questions. Her office called me the following day of my procedure as well. I am very happy to have found such a compassionate and thorough doctor.

I love Dr. Whitney Shoemaker! She is very compassionate and only wants you to feel good about yourself and confident. I love the fact that she’s confident in what she does and provides the best quality of care. I’ve had different procedures by her with great outcomes. I cannot express eloquently enough how much I enjoy going to my gynecologist appointments. Dr. Shoemaker, and her professional team, are beyond knowledgeable, treat patients with compassion and show the utmost kindness every time I visit! It is very impressive the menu of offerings for health and well-being options within the Gynecology Center and Medispa. I will never change from using their services; even if I need to drive a distance and/or wait a bit extra to get into my scheduled appointments.

I am super grateful to have met Dr. Shoemaker, she performed a surgery on me that has changed my life. No more pain in my abdomen area, no more urgency to urinate, no more change of underpants. I’m super satisfied with her performance and her expertise. She even held my hand to comfort me right before I went under. Dr. Shoemaker was amazing. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful. The office itself was welcoming; it didn’t feel clinical as some can. Dr. Shoemaker was a great listener, validating my questions and concerns. She was thorough in her explanations to me. I was very happy with the care!

On my 1st visit w/ the Doctor I was extremely impressed by the way she takes time to listen & I felt she was very attentive & supportive in the way she interacted w/ her patient. I also noticed that most of her patients were very satisfied w/ Doctor Shoemaker when they also expressed how satisfied & confident they felt with the service she provide … I am extremely happy to have her as my Doctor.

My visit was an exercise in managing unmet expectations. The positives of the office are that it is clean and pretty. The Office Manager is incredibly nice and professional, and clinically, Dr. Shoemaker is too, for the most part.The negatives are that the office staff needs to be trained to understand customer service and it feels like Dr. Shoemaker a tad condescending. I was upset but when MA took my blood pressure, she was confused that it was 173/113 and decided we would just take it again at the end of the visit without addressing the reason for the reading. When I needed a tissue, Dr. Shoemaker handed me a paper towel and told me she doesnt keep tissues in the office because patients keep stealing them.In discussing some of my concerns, she used the typical medical office deflections for why she was running 50 minutes behind, not realizing that having been the owner and operating manager of a healthcare office, I understood what I was hearing coming from the front desk and from her.If you are going for the rejuvenation (money making) services, you will most likely be pleased with her office. Otherwise, I would guess not so much.

Took my 93 year old mom here, this is the best women’s doctor either of us have ever been to. Super nice and friendly staff and Dr. Shoemaker is just awesome. She was so patient and answered the hundred questions my mom had and spent a lot of time with her which we both really appreciated. She really knows her stuff and fixed my mom’s issues. I would recommend her to all of my friends and everyone I know!

Doctor Shoemaker is so professional and so sweet and has a great bedside manner!! My surgery she did went wonderful and she even held my hand while I was being put under my Anastasia and she said you feel my hand Im right here. My surgery was such a success I would recommend her highly. Her office staff is amazing and office Manager Donna is so helpful and knowledgeable.

My experience with Dr Shoemaker was very rewarding. I have finally found a doctor that is compassionate and listens to what you have to say. Just left the center for my new patient visit. I was 30 minutes late and the receptionist was kind enough to squeeze me in. Amazing. I saw Dani, my ARNP and she is very thoughtful, kind, professional and knowledgeable. In fact the entire staff is too. Thank you one and all for the best new patient experience.

I was so pleasantly impressed with how down to earth and nice the staff and Whitney were. I was looking for a new doctor because I started feeling like a number at my last one and in this day & age, I just don’t want to be treated that way. Especially with something as personal as my health and issues. She saw me and had a plan & answers for a problem I have been dealing with for 19 years. One that, even with having surgery, was never fixed. I am very excited that she was so proactive and positive of what my results will be. I have heard wonderful things about her and she certainly proved them to be true!

Dr. Shoemaker truly cares about her patients. I feel like she treats me like family. She has to performed 2 different procedures on me and I was well informed beforehand. I was comfortable and confident in her expertise.

Dr. Shoemaker was absolutely lovely and is one of the very best Gynecologists I’ve encountered in Volusia county. She listens to you and wants to offer practical solutions to your health concerns, she doesn’t intimidate you or scare you, she just genuinely cares and is very gentle. I’m very happy I found Dr. Shoemaker, I have been to several Gynecologists in Volusia county over the past five years and none of them had her level of kindness and support. I finally feel I’m in good hands now with my female health concerns.

Dr. Shoemaker is the best Gynecologist I ever had. I am over 70 years old and came to her in pain with a wrong diagnose. She found the problem, performed a surgery and relieved my pain. Dr. Shoemaker is a refreshing change from other gynecologists I’ve seen! Very knowledgeable and positive. She put me on a treatment plan and will perform surgery in 2-3 months. I was completely reassured and know I will recouperate in much better health.

Each and every time, no matter the reason, when I enter the office it is very tranquil and professional. Dr. Shoemaker and her staff are full of life and down to Earth. Most importantly Dr. Shoemaker is extremely knowledgeable and continually supports her practice with current research. I recommend all my family and friends to her. Give them a call! After hours of research to select a new gyn after mine retired, I chose Dr. Shoemaker. When I arrived for my appt, I was not seen by Dr. Shoemaker, and not asked for consent to be treated by another practitioner. I honestly thought she was perhaps the nurse doing my intake before the Dr. entered the room. Despite being unhappy with this, I agreed to book a follow-up hormone appt, as it was pretty important. At that appt, I was told that they could not answer questions about a common current medication and condion, and was sent to my specialist to ask those questions. My specialist was surprised, explaining that he would not answer questions about hormones, as that is not his specialty, and cautioned me about using a gyn that could not explain the risk-benefits of what they prescribe. At that moment, I decided to not return to this practice and to find another gyn, which I did. Im not one to complain much or write reveiews, but fast forward over a year later, and I start repeatedly receiving a bill for $45. I finally called to ask what it was about and they tell me I missed an appointment this year. The courteous thing to do, even if I did miss an appointment, would have been to waive this bill, especially after I explained my less than ideal experience with this practice and reasons for leaving, but i was forced to pay the practice this fee. Dr. Shoemaker sounded great based on my research, but client relations and support staff matter too. Choose wisely.

I brought my 14 year old step daughter in for an appointment with Dr Shoemaker and I can not begin to tell you how wonderful of an experience it was. She was so kind, compassionate and comforting to her. She explained everything to her throughly but in a way she would understand, was patient when she was nervous and really made the whole appointment so much easier on her. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a gynecologist for themselves or their young daughter.

Dr. Shoemaker took the time to listen to my concerns and ultimately ended up saving my life. I moved into the area and she was recommended by a couple of other woman in the community. She listen to her instincts and sent me to a specialist right away. She followed up with the specialist to make sure I was seen right away. My gynecologist I had been seeing for years missed what Dr. Shoemaker had found. I’ve also have seen her post-treatment to express my gratitude and seek her expertise with HRT. It’s very comforting to have a doctor who really cares about her patients.

Hard to believe she has a medical degree. I rarely post reviews, but I cannot believe the other glowing reviews posted here after the experience I had with Dr Shoemaker. Yes, she is well-mannered, even sweet, well-dressed. She was arrogant and rude to her nurse practitioner who was also in the room. After speaking to me for less than 30 seconds and a physical exam that was even shorter, she did not address my issue from a medical perspective, but tried to sell me her laser therapy. She is a smooth talker. I listened, ask a couple of questions, but told her I wanted to think about it. Her demeanor changed from being sweet to being curt, and she left the room. When I read the literature about the procedure and looked it up on the manufacturers web page, I discovered that any laser treatment is absolutely contraindicated in someone with my history and could have caused harm. And yes, she was aware of my condition, she actually tried to sell the laser treatment as a way to improve my condition. What a sham! I do not recommend her. If I could put negative stars on this review I would!

Dr. Shoemaker and her entire staff were very kind and made me feel very comfortable. I was nervous and each person was calming and reassuring. Dr. Shoemaker was professional and reassuring. She answered all my questions and made me feel much better. A very good experience.

I absolutely love Dr. Shoemaker! She is super sweet and compassionate, but above all, an excellent physician. She has an aggressive approach when it comes to your health and she will quite literally hold your hand through it all. Can’t recommend her enough!

Do not allow this woman to touch you . Told me I had fibroids and hemorrhagic cyst. Was removing 1 ovary during hysterectomy . Woke up pain in left thigh couldn’t walk far . My whole body hurt . Just started a new business . Sick daily , antibiotics , no explanation other than give it time . 11 months later can’t take the pain plus so many infections which had to be de-breaded finding infected string . Another wonderful Obgyn informs me I was feeling all this because I was in full blown menopause 2 weeks after and did not know it because BOTH OVARYS WERE GONE AND NEVER TOLD!No post op notes , she doesn’t do that ! How convenient for her ……. Lied to me all this time , make accusations to cover her own faults ! The only good thing I can say is , she left Schuylkill County 30 days after she made sure I lost my case in court with all her lies! Lies, lies, lies!!!Too many years of abscesses at incision sites , de-bridements and lost my business over being so sick, septic, run down and wound nurse on iv antibiotic at home , worse experience in my entire life ! Now 2022 another complication at the cuff . Proper treatment never given and wish I never stepped foot in her office ! I am still suffering since 2008!

I found Dr. Shoemaker to be very thorough in gathering my medical history. She listened to my concerns and provided recommendations. Dr. Shoemaker was friendly and did not rush my appointment. Her office staff was also friendly and efficient.

If I knew she was as good as she was I wouldn’t have waited 14 years to see a GYN. You want to make sure you like, trust and feel comfortable when you see a GYN or any Physician, and coming from Tampa to Palm Coast it was all very foreign. I knew no one here to ask about physicians. When you go to someone new it’s a high priority to find someone who cares and listens. She and her staff are wonderful. I was seen within 10 minutes after I arrived. The nurse Practioner was very kind and gave me a wrap and robe since I was cold. Dr Shoemaker came in a couple minutes after the nurse had left. Discussed everything with me thoroughly in a manner in which I could understand. I would HIGHLY recommend her. I wish I knew about her years ago!

The most caring woman / Doctor I have ever been seen by. She is phenomenal. She is great at what she does and i would recommend her to anyone. The office is very welcoming and staff is so nice and inviting great atmosphere to really discuss your health issues. However, they are very short staffed which is not a good from a patient standpoint. During my initial visit I made an appointment for my follow up visit. Almost a week later, I was called to change my appointment for a later date. If someone is waiting for results or just needed to be seen, it is very nerve wrecking to be ask to wait until later to receive treatment. I even called to just have a nurse review my results with me over telephone after security verification and I could not speak to one because the front desk rep informed me she was in surgery all day. No one is easily accessible.

I’m sad I didn’t find this location sooner. The staff and Dr. Shoemaker were all awesome: friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and they make you feel comfortable. The building was well maintained and very clean. I was referred here by my family practice Dr. and will definitely be returning here every year for my annual checkups.

Walk in to a clean doctors office and meet the very friendly staff. My appt. was right on time, very little wait time. Dr. Shoemaker is very nice, professional and quite knowledgable, she answered all my questions. She didnt rush me at all. The staff and doctor went above and beyond to help me. Very satisfied. She will be my new doctor for sure. Would highly recommend.

Most caring Dr I have ever been to. She takes her time & is very companionate. All together hands down, she is one of the best Doctors that I have seen in the past few years that actually has ordered tests keeping the patients best interest as first priority! SO GLAD I FOUND HER!

This was my first appointment with Dr. Shoemaker as I have just recently moved to the area, honestly my first impressions were the best I’ve ever had in a very long time. She took her time with me and explained everything thoroughly. Thank you for a great first visit!

Ive seen this woman get drunk and beat her husband at a wedding. She also said she was the prettiest person there and she could do plastic surgery on every woman there because they were ugly. Do not go to this woman

She may be a great doctor but I have no way of knowing that since I never actually SAW her at any point during my scheduled appointment. I was examined by a very curt, rough, and rude nurse practitioner along with a student N.P. The exam was extremely painful and the response from the N.P was well, if you dont use it, you lose it. The office pushes cash purchase of bio-identical hormones, created by and available only through Dr. Shoemaker, as well as the required out-of-pocket lab work expenses that accompany this. As someone who has long been in the medical profession myself, I would recommend staying as far from this office as you can. It would also be wise to check out her google reviews from other states in which she has practiced.....this doesnt appear to be anything new for this doctor.

I met Dr. Shoemaker due to a trip to the ER. The ER said i had to follow up with a GYN doctor. So I called several facilities and the hospitality was horrible until i called Dr. Shoemakers office. Ashley answered the phone with so much kindness in her voice; I made an appointment right away. Matter of fact the very next day. I had surgery the next week. and just this week Dr. Shoemaker performed a hysterectomy. Dr. Shoemaker is so kind and caring. I was nervous and scared but she smilled assured me she would go the least invasive as possible. The surgery was a sucess and i am mending well. I also want to mention that the Office Manager Donna goes above and beyond her dutiies and does it with a smile! Thank you all!

I went to Dr. Shoemaker’s office when she was called Dr. Pollock in Pottsville, PA. Imagine my surprise when I show up for my annual exam to find the office is for sale and that the good doctor has taken off to Florida without even a courtesy call. AND, my records were sent to another doctor in Wyomissing, an hour away from Pottsville, WITHOUT my consent. What a joke

The easiest, least evasive exam I have ever had. As someone that suffers from extreme anxiety, the Well Woman exam has always been a source of anxiety for me. I dreaded the yearly visit to my gynecologist, not anymore.The office staff is curteous, kind, & very efficient. Probably the best managed doctors office Ive ever experienced.Thank you for your kindness & professionalism!

Whitney is so easy to talk to and has a great bedside manor. Her office is tops in cleanliness and cheerful undertones of the use of pink and her initials. I had surgery of a bladder lift and rectal repair and Whitney was there holding my hand as. I went under! Of course surgery was a success and she gave me a follow up call to see how I was doing. I have never officially seen this doctor. I made an appointment and left my information at the office, but DAYS prior to the appointment I had to cancel due to personal reasons. I called and I have the phone records and everything yet I received an invoice in the mail for a no show charge? I called DAYS within the cancellation requirement. On Monday I’ll be calling about these charges because this is insane and unprofessional.

The only positive is the doctors personality.The office staff is completely inept.I was referred in May. First appt went well. Pre-op appt got cancelled and no one called me to advice, I show up and they say I’ve been rescheduled because my insurance didn’t approve procedure.Next appt gets cancelled because doctor is sick. Next appt, which Each reschedule is 2-3 weeks out, my insurance still hasn’t approved procedure. I have to get on the phone with my insurance to find out the procedure is approved, just not in the doctors office. To use ambulatory place which I agreed to.I go for procedure, 4 months after initial visit. Then, my follow up appt is 3 weeks later. Doctor tells me she tried calling me the day of procedure, I was passed out on pain medications, she didn’t leave a message to call back and called with a blocked number, so I had no idea it was her calling at 9pm. She tells me, 3 weeks later after I allegedly had this procedure that she wasn’t able to do it. 3 WEEKS LATER. No one could call and leave a message to call the office or to stop by. They had me believing all this time I had the surgery needed, and I was dead worried thinking it didn’t work since I still had problems. I’m writing this on a Friday. When I was told the news was Tuesday. Since I left their office, my records were supposed to be faxed to another doctor that can work on my surgery. As of today, nothing was faxed. I had to send my husband today to pick up the records and go send the fax so I can move on from this nightmare that has dragged on for 5 months.As I said at the beginning, dr shoemaker is sweet, I am unaware of her capabilities since she didn’t do what I was sent to her to do. But her office staff is completely incompetent.

My name is Peggy Childress. I love this Doctor and her staff. Shes amazing. Very knowledgeable, has helped me move towards recovery from a horrible procedure done by another Doctor. This is for her staff! My wife getting over cancer, made a checkup appointment, which had to be 2 months away. Today she shows and they tell her they do not take FL Blue select, when she asked first thing 2 months ago, and they said absolutely yes. Then they said she was not told they took it, when they did confirm her plan. Now shes another two months away.

From start to finish, excellent care. They even agreed to have my mamo results sent to them before I could get in for my first well-visit there. Very patient focused. The NP and assistant were wonderful! Highly recommend.

Worse mistake I ever made. As a new patient , I saw the PA. I was kept in a waiting room for almost 30 minutes. Took over 10 days to get my results which I had to call numerous times. I felt like I was begging to get my test results. The office manger is rude . Office staff tells you one thing and then they do another. I was told by the PA that someone would call me with results in 3 or 4 days. Office manager says, we dont give results you have to backJust so you know when a patient is scarred and waiting for results. You should at least have a heart.Unbelievable. First time and last time.

Part one-First and foremost, I don’t normally write reviews unless I’m thoroughly pleased or dissatisfied. Unfortunately, I was not too pleased with the overall experience I have had with this particular office. I want to inform our community or at least give them a heads up of what they’ll be getting themselves into.I went to this office a total of 4 times, but have actually been seen only 3 of those times.My first initial appointment I made via phone and when I had arrived, they told me I was a day early. They had no way to prove that it wasn’t that very day. They did not give me a call or text to inform and confirm the initial appointment regardless. That set me two weeks back.For my first “official” appointment, they took half an hour to see me. Did a couple of tests and obtained a urine sample. I ended up seeing the nurse practitioner instead of the actual doctor, which I was okay with at the time. I later come to find out that many patients don’t even ever see the doctor. I suppose it depends on the types of cases and/or request per patient.I also want to mention and make note that this particular doctor only does gynecology work at her office not obstetrics— which is fine, but it is a heads up for any patient who would like to have some form of consistency and grow with the doctor- especially if they are planning to become pregnant in the future.And on a short side note, my observation has lead me to believe the doctor is mainly focused on the other side of her practice which consists of: cosmetic services, lasering and weight loss; while, the nurse practitioner is the main practitioner for all the other medical gynecological-focused services, since the doctor chooses not to do obstetrics.My second appointment I was ten minutes late coming from out of town. But regardless, they saw me about half an hour later, which was fine at the time but I was waiting for important results and got nervous if I would be seen at all. They ended up seeing me and performing some procedures. I asked about some potential take-home pamphlets, but they did not have the resources at the office. I also asked about the urine sample results from the sample they obtained on the last visit, but the nurse practitioner was unaware that they obtained any sample at all during that visit— which unfortunately showed me the lack of communication at times between the staff members.Overall, I appreciated the efforts of the healthcare and office staff for trying to accommodate. I, too, am in healthcare myself and understand fully the time and healthcare-to-patient ratio constraints and whatnot; however my last visit was unfortunate.I came to the office probably about 9 minutes late; I had a pretty good feeling they’d make me wait a good half hour regardless per consistent experience and observation. I actually had to wait a whole hour before I asked politely about the realistic time frame of being seen and I was to say the least, disappointed. They responded, in their defense, that I have been late these past few appointments and they will just end up rescheduling me if I was even a minute late the next visit. I would like to note that there were at least 2 other patients waiting with me during that hour that arrived before I did and were not seen or addressed of the medical office’s tardiness. They failed to communicate their delayed schedule and time management that day until several of the patients had to ask for themselves having made prior engagements that are now conflicted with.Also, a patient that came in after all of us have arrived was able to be seen immediately. Perhaps, this was based on the type of service she was seeking and the healthcare provider providing it; ie, medical v cosmetic, Doctor v nurse practitioner who runs the main clinic.(Part two in pictures on google map app since reviews have word limit. I wanted to thoroughly give this office a fair yet honest review)

The entire office staff was very sweet. I had some time restrictions for procedures needed and they made all the dates work for my schedule. Dr. Shoemaker is so gentle and kind

My wife went in for what was to be a simple procedure...the removal of an IUD. Dr. Shoemaker tried for a about 30 seconds and told her that shell need surgery to have it removed. Bill for the 30 seconds....$400. She represents all that is wrong with healthcare in America. Money hungry...doesnt care about her patients. Make sure to do a Google search on her name before you book an appt. Wish we had. Youll find some interesting results.

Very quick and efficient appointment. Nurse Practitioner was very nice. However, during these times, make sure to bring a mask for appointment. I thought I had forgot my mask and was told by front desk that I would have had to reschedule my appointment if I didn’t have one as the office did not have any to provide.

Do not Allow this woman to cut you up. She insisted I had a polyp , but then I was told no polyp but they cut something else out of me for testing. They refused to tell me what they cut or why, or what they are testing for. I asked, my mother asked and my husband. The receptionist did not like his tone (which involved no cussing or even raising his voice)...and the Doctor called me screaming at me and my husband at almost 8:00 at night..And then her husband stated he felt threatened and they would not be doing my follow up treatment. He called the cops on me, as did I on them. They were calling me at night screaming and threatning me and my family. And they still never told me what they did to me or why. I am still in severe pain 9 days later and bleeding..after cutting healthy tissue from my womb..and I was trying to have a baby....so everything is put on hold. This Dr. IS vicious....and my review can just be added to several others I have read, where she apparently cuts your body parts out for money. That is SICK! STILL Bleeding...no one to follow up with...Apparently Doctors think they found a way around the system..Lie and say you did the threatening so she doesnt have to treat you...All of this because she stole my parts, would not tell me what happened, and from a tone of voice?!!!

She just performed a procedure on me and let me tell you, her surgical bedside manner is amazing! She was there while I was being prepped, and when I was coming out of anesthesia! Called later in the evening to check on me. Extremely impressed and appreciative!

Of all the Gyns Ive been to in my life time, Dr.Shoemaker was very kind, understanding, and didnt make me feel ashamed for coming to see her. She actually listened to me and my problem, and included me in the remedy.

I made an appointment one and a half month ago. They asked the reason for my visit but didnt ask my age (Im 49). The reason was birth control.When I went to the gynecology center I filled out my paperwork. There were questions about the purpose of my visit, my age and etc. After that they brought me to the examination room. They checked my blood pressure, my weight, etc. Then they explained me that they cannot give me a birth control prescription because they dont have equipment to check my eggs (women above 46 have to check it before getting a birth control pills).I didnt see Dr.Shoemaker at all !!!They apologized and charged me $315 !!!For what??? For checking my weight, etc.When I became upset, they gave me a discount of 30%. But still I had to pay $210 for nothing, for their mistake, for their business.They had to tell me they cannot give me a prescription or examination.They wasted my time and money.Now I have to find another doctor and do it all again...

Dr. Shoemaker cares about her patients. She takes the time to listen & make a plan to reach your health goals. I’ve had pervious doctors just write off my concerns as “it’s nothing” or “normal” without doing any research. Dr. Shoemaker took the initiative to get labs done to find the cause of my mentral issues, instead of just prescribing me a different birth control.
