Planned Parenthood - Pasadena Health Center

Who are these nurses trained by? GOD himself?! First time going to this Planned Parenthood and the staff is so sweet and helpful! Answered all my questions and went above and beyond for me. I did have to wait a bit but I had a last minute appointment so I can’t complain and they even offered me juice/cookies for the wait! The clinic is spotless and plenty of parking.

I love the work that PP does and the staff here really tries. There are so many thoughtful, attentive practitioners here. My one complaint and the reason I’m seeking care elsewhere is that the wait times for the 6 years I’ve gone here have been excruciating. I always give myself 3 hours to get in and out for STI checks and prep/pep appointments.

I was 15 minutes late to my iud removal appointment, I tried to call to let them know but of course couldn’t reach anyone. When I arrived they allowed me to check in and sign all the paperwork. Then 5 minutes later they call me up to tell me I was late and they couldn’t help me at all. By this time it was 3:20pm and they close at 4:30. I asked why, since they are open another hour. They said that I was the very last appointment of the day, and they already took the next patient….But couldn’t tell me why there is another patient after me, if I’m the last appointment of the day…. Their excuse made no sense. I was there 15 minutes late and I know that an iud removal is fast; it would have taken 10 minutes. The lady at the front desk was not nice about it and didn’t try to help in any way. I’m shocked because I had a really pleasant experience at the Alhambra location… but apparently Pasadena doesn’t care about people. I will never go back to this location.

Lovely people work here. The wait is a little long but they’re busy helping people! Clean facilities, kind staff. I’ll always ride for PP.

This planned parenthood is way nicer and friendlier than LA offices. I am in grad school and don’t always have insurance access. They’ve been great for my bcp or papsmear testing. I also had a cancer screening with them . I felt provided for ! The front desk is very nice. I had one doc be a bit dismissive. Hence my four starts but everyone else was great!

Staff is super nice and helpful. The building is clean and theres a parking lot on the side and in back. They accept Medi-Cal. Highly recommend this Planned Parenthood location!

This PP location is much better than other ones Ive gone to. They genuinely care about their patients and try to accommodate for their needs. Nurses and staff are very kind. Any questions or concerns they answer them, thank you for your care PP Pasadena 💓

I needed a mammogram asap and I called , I was given an appointment a week later which was awesome! Upon arrival I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of this facility. There is a separate building on the premises which is the breast center , the workers were all very kind, informative and professional! I was treated with respect and kindness. I had my first mammogram and although I was scared, the technician made me feel at ease and got me thru it! She was professional, pleasant, and she knew her stuff!!! All in all had a very good experience and I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a mammogram!!!

Very easy to make a next-day appointment online for this location and my experiences with the staff here have always been kind, considerate, and thoughtful. Plenty of parking in their private parking lot as well.

This is a horrific place with incompetent power tripping nurses and employees. They treat you like garbage, like a commodity but hey, at least they ask you what your pronouns are 10 times! They are mainstream, & completely unholisticly minded and will be obsolete in the future when the world turns away from these archaic western minded practices. Never again will I subject myself to the torture of planned parenthood 🐑

Take my advice dont do the depo injection for birth control because it makes it hard to balance pH and I got a yeast infection, UTI and right now I have huge period cramps. Im going to stick with the pills that was better. *I want to add that if you have medical and some other insurance your other insurances will cancel out and they will not use your medical. The issue with that is lets say your medical is a single person plan and your other insurances arent then that ruins your confidentiality. Also if you pay cash because your card is attached to your house and you dont want your family to know your a bc user then note that this location will not give you change and you will be forced to donate the reminder of your money to their organization. You never know how much you need to pay until after the appointment because nobody over the phone will tell you and nobody at the front desk will tell you beforehand.

I had a really good experience. Especially with Veronica :). She was really sweet and helpful offering me water and snacks. And the bathroom here was very clean, had helpful with feminine products and I just had a overall great and easy experience here. The best planned parenthood I’ve been too. Would really recommend

Staffs are nice but the wait time is ridiculous even with appointments. My first appointment visit made me waited 2 hours, and on the same day I made my second appointment. I called off work to my second appointment, but they messed up my appointment and saying I never made appointment. Like hello I even put it in my calendar and call off work one week prior. So anyways they schedule me to my 3rd appointment. I’m waiting for 2.5 hour now, I ask them how much longer do I have to wait. They said the physician went for lunch. And I ????????????? Why would they schedule patients on their lunch time. Or at least let me know the estimated wait time, so I can get lunch too???Just keep in mind that the average wait time here is 3 hours. Heads up everyone

I don’t know how you can trust your treatment to people who don’t know how to basicly calculate the time of appointments. forcing undressed people to wait for three hours in extremely cold rooms with an exact time of appointment

It’s been a long time since I’d had such kind service. The staff was very sweet and the doctor really took her time to listen to me. I’d been dealing with some recurring issues that other providers kept missing or dismissing. Honestly this is the best PP location I’ve ever been to! Thank you.

I used to love this place and the usually kind staff. Dont be even think of being even 5 minutes late or they will cancel your appointment, but you can sometimes wait 2-3 hours for them. They had a choice whether to let me in 4 minutes late or not and Im guessing since they were closing in 30 minutes, the Dr didnt want to see me and go home early. You make the call if you even want to deal with all that.

This is the best Planned Parenthood I have been too so far. They gave me a variety of condoms, emergency contraception, and lube. They took the time to listen to me and were supportive of my decision to go on suppressive therapy whereas other Planned Parenthood would brush off my choice to want to be on antivirals.

Whoever manages this location deserves a raise! My experience today was nothing short of excellent. The facility is very clean, efficient, and front desk staff are quick and helpful. The two medical professionals (Nurse and Nurse Practitioner) who helped me during my appointment were friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel so comfortable. They both had great bedside manner which makes all the difference during a medical appointment that can feel scary or anxious. I was truly impressed from start to finish. And what PP visit wouldnt be complete without the nutjob holy roller protestor trying to hand me a pamphlet in the parking lot! Had to laugh at that, but if you can get past the idiot(s) outside, Id recommend this PP to anyone!

I have never had a more patient forward experience in any medical facility in my life. All of my concerns were addressed, I did not feel awkward or strange at all (and I’m very prone to feeling awkward) they even had a trainee working with me and he also made me feel incredibly calm and taken care of... I went in scared and vulnerable and came out feeling supported and self assured.Follow up. Still happy with their service. Amazing.

I just got back from my appointment at the Planned Parenthood in Pasadena, and I am actually giddy with how positively wonderful it went. I had never been to a Planned Parenthood before, and was really nervous to go, but my experience definitely exceeded my expectations. I was able to get an appointment only a couple days after I called, and was informed on the phone to expect for the whole trip to take 2 hours with wait times. This may seem long, however it is a free clinic, and I am impressed that the wait time wasnt longer (Id been to clinics while traveling in Europe that are free and government funded and had to wait as long as 8 hours). My appointment was in the smaller building, and I had the most wonderful staff that I met with, from the initial nurse who took all my information and my blood draw, to the absolutely fantastic nurse practitioner - I think her name was Adrianne or Adrianna - who went through all my various options and was incredibly helpful and pleasant in answering all my questions. It was wonderful to be able to talk with the staff about various issues and concerns, and I definitely felt cared for. I have no idea what the staff in the other building are like, or what this place has been like in the past, but all I can say about it now was that I could not have hoped for a better experience, and that it was far and above my expectations. I really appreciate everything they did for me there and everything they do for the patients they receive.

Best PP location in terms of professionalism and getting the tests done . Got IUD inserted here and no issues w it 2 years later

I was super terrified to go to any planned parenthood based on these awful reviews on google. I finally decided to call and the Pasadena office answered (mind you i was thinking about going to the Burbank one, and that one has pretty bad reviews) the lady on the other side of the line was absolutely helpful and she had such a sweet, caring tone. I decided to make an appointment to that location and let me tell you guys, best decision ever!! EVERYONE THERE WAS SO PLEASANT AND CARING. The OBGYN was training a futrue OBGYN, which made me a little nervous to have both of them in the room but they made it so pleasant and easy. They were the best doctors ever!!Thank you planned parenthood for your services. I dont know about the other locations but you guys are superb. 💖

My girlfriend needed refills for birth control so target helped her set up an appointment there at 1pm.. Well I hope your not reading this review to late. Their was a line of people outside the clinic. It will take you an hour. (1hr 30mins for us) to see a doctor regardless if you have an appointment . And no help afterwards. See if you can get help elsewhere. Just go to another clinic your insurance recommends.

I have an appointment at 530. It is now 630 and I am still in the waiting room waiting. I don’t understand how you can have such disregard for my time. I inquired on how much longer it would take and was informed I have to wait another 20 minutes. So a total of one hour and 20 or so minutes waiting ? Not pleased. Not happy . if you can’t meet your appointment times and I’m ok with waiting 15-20 minutes tops in waiting room , please don’t schedule me big disappointment in your service.

Two years ago this location inserted the Paragard copper IUD for me and all was fine until two months ago when I began to have complications. I felt a pain in my side and was bleeding heavily for 10 days when I came in to ask them if they could ultrasound and see if the device was perforating my insides... well they said there wasnt enough evidence that I was in danger and they didnt want to waste the resources on me so they SENT ME AWAY. I kept bleeding heavily for another week until I thought I was dying and my GP got me an emergency apt at a real OBGYN. They gave me an ultrasound and GUESS WHAT THE IUD HAD PERFORATED and had to be removed. I know they are stretched for resources but this office inserted the device and they should be responsible for treating patients who have complications. DO YOU EVEN CARE IF YOUR PATIENTS ARE IN DANGER?!?!?

This Planned Parenthood saved my life. A doctor here noticed that my throat was enlarged, and she drew blood. The results showed that I had a hyperactive thyroid that had gotten out of hand. If she hadnt noticed this, I dont know where Id be today. I am on medicine and feeling better then ever. I am so grateful that it is there and that it does so much to help those of us who go there for healthcare.

My girlfriend needed pain pills for a condition and they offered refill and she clearly needs two perscriptions. Her inconsiderate doctor told her to tough it out despite being in agonizing pain. To that doctor could have helped my girlfriend, you dont deserve to be a doctor.

They are so slow. When you come you should planned to be here all day. Took me more than 2 hours to get a depo shot.

Takes over an hour just for a pregnancy test? I had an appointment so I’m not sure what the delay was but I’m very irritated.

Good place but they need to learn how to answer the phone. I called for a whole hour 3 days straight and nothing, this ALWAYS happens Ridiculous !

I had a horrible experience the nurses were soo rude. The wait was soo long almost 2 hours!

The walk in clinic supposedly started at one. But they didnt open the doors until one and it took until 1:30 to call their first person back.

Kind and helpful. But setting an appointment is pointless here. Im always waiting an extra 30 mins+....
