Planned Parenthood - Owings Mills Health Center

I went in for a preventative care appointment and I left feeling so taken-care-of. Everyone from the lady at the front desk, (sharon I think was her name) to Ivory and my nurse Joan, I believe, we’re just so so lovely and kind and made me so comfortable. The energy here is so welcoming and positive. They’re also just really thorough and great at their jobs and I got info about Gardasil which I’m so glad was explained to me because I’m 100% getting that and I am grateful to Joan for explaining it to me in detail.Thank you ladies!

While my visit didnt go as expected, Ivorys cheerful demeanor and resourcefulness made my appointment very comforting. She reassured me of the values and mission that PP stands upon, and reflected it through every phase of my appointments.I hope everyone who visits gets to encounter Ivorys energy, even if its just her saying Hi!The entire staff is amazing-they truly take care of US!

I give Mrs. Sharon ten stars very sweet lady fun outgoing she makes my day every time we meet and we have the same zodiac sign so we get along well wouldn’t change her for anyone else 😊💙

Came here for STD/STI testing and they were very discrete, professional, and respectful. They asked great questions and explained things very well and in detail when I asked questions. I would go back!

I had an exceptional experience at this location. The healthcare professionals (The medical assistant at the front desk smh i cant believe i forgot her name, Ivory, Nurse Practitioner Kimberly) was incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. They provided me with the care and support I needed in a non-judgmental and welcoming environment. I appreciate the valuable services they offer and would highly recommend Planned Parenthood to anyone in need. I left with a sense of empowerment and gratitude for the services they provide. I would highly recommend this location for their exceptional care and support.

There may be some misconceptions about Planned Parenthood. Never judge a book....Customer Service & Professionalism was a 10!After an overrated ob/gyn FAILED to meet or even tend to my concerns, I found myself here.🙏🏾🙏🏾 & Thank u to ALL the staff I encountered.My issue was handled with care & concern. I got squeezed into a last-minute appointment at this location and after my visit I had to leave a review. EVERYONE was pleasant and professional - even though my appointment was close to end of day so that says a lot. I had a thorough discussion with my practitioners and they were more than willing to answer any questions I had. I truly felt cared for and thats hard ro find in modern medical practices these days. Kudos to this team!

I have over the years had really great experience which is why I continue to get serviced here but after today, I cant do it anymore. I understand that maybe there is a shortage of workers and expect that I wont get seen at the exact time of my scheduled appointment. However, if I have an appt at 12:10pm and I show up early I dont expect to still not be seen an hour later. Hell, I was okay with being seen as late as 12:45pm. What I did not expect was to have an MA come in at 1pm and tell me the doctor will see me in 5 minutes because she was talking to the Director. I had a very pressing meeting that I needed to be back home for by 2pm which I would have reasonable made if for not sitting for an hour. I finally had to get dressed and leave to get back home.The staff, including the doctor, were very pleasant and I can imagine me leaving didnt make the doctor happy but I absolutely should not have to spend 3 hours of my day getting to and being seen at a doctors office for only 15 minutes literally after an hour of waiting.

Came here for the first time because they had same day appt available. Staff was amazing and professional. Ivory worked the front desk and was very friendly, easy to talk to and helpful with the check in process. Kimberly and Marjorie were informative and guided me through the next steps I needed to take due to my high blood pressure.

From check in to walking out I felt comfortable and the staff were amazing. Had to get blood work done and the flebotamist was wonderful. I was anxious for my appointment but left feeling calm and ok about coming back in a month.

I had a very poor experience with the secretary Miss Tracy. I came in before my appointment time and was asked to have a seat and wait to check in. No problem. I sat for 20 minutes waiting to be checked in. I even reminded her that I was sitting there. As new patrons walk in, she continues to check people in, completely ignoring my presence. Then when I came up again to say something, she laughs as if I’m being ridiculous, and begins checking me in. She didn’t apologize. It was very weird and condescending.The rest of the staff was nothing short of amazing. Every nurse, every assistant, everyone that saw me was pleasant, non judgmental and kind.

My visit went great from when i first walked in! sharon at the front desk is so sweet n was very helpful soon as i came in, i recommend ivory for any visit lol she was the best! very nice and went into detail about everything

This place has averagely 60 minutes waiting time for a regular appointment - thats too long. I followed my former OB/GYN to this location, but unfortunately she already moved again from this Owings Mills location, and I still couldnt see her....But for the averagely 60 minutes waiting for any appointment, it should not be acceptable to any patient.On the positive side: the technician and nurse working on me were both very friendly, patient, professional and knowledge. So, I guess, if you want to get their excellent technical service, its better for you to schedule an appointment after you are off work or something, but not in a rush on your way to work...

I had an amazing experience. From the front end (Tray) to my amazing nurse (Rosalyn) to the amazing doctor (Avi). I came in a little early and they said it was no problem. My nurse made me feel extremely comfortable and she was completely down to earth. Then the doctor came in and made me love this establishment even more. 5 stars all the way and I would recommend this facility to every woman I know! Kudos ladies!!!

I went here to get my nexplanon implant replaced today because it was due to expire in a few days. I had an appointment at 3 and was waiting in the waiting room for an hour. When I was finally taken back, I waited another 15 minutes for a doctor when the woman who took my blood pressure told me recent research had proved my implant would last another two years. You would think when I scheduled the appointment or even at check-in they could of notified me of this. I told the woman the exact dates of my implant at the time of scheduling my appointment. Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating experience. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the front staff was very kind to the patients.

First thing I need to say, whoever was at front desk Jan. 24, was amazing. She did everything she could to help me, had very professional communication, and made me feel comfortable. She called me about my future appointments to make sure I didnt forget, and ensured I knew what I needed to do for my implant removal when I came back. (My appointment was 3:40pm)This is my personal favorite PP in the area. Ive been to multiple in MD. I love all Planned Parenthoods because all the staff are supportive, respectful, and they arent judgemental.Ive been to this one multiple times regarding nexplanon (removal, reinsertion, and another removal, along with side effects) I came last week and unfortunately my insurance changed. They gave me the option to pay out of pocket, get a referral from my insurance, or go to my insurance so I dont have to pay $500 for the removal. I respect that. They did any and everything they could do for me that day. Including letting me know about upcoming appointments I had scheduled.They inserted my implant amazingly. They removed it painlessly (back in 2021)When I had insurance that wasnt a pain, I would drive an hour to go to this facility. I drive past two other PPs on my way here but this one I really love.

I had a very great experience here getting an IUD insertion! I was nervous at first because I have never been to a PP before and Im also a teenager, but the ladies at the front desk were super nice and discussed my payment options with me. The wait to see the doctor was only 30 mins and all the workers here were just so chill and understanding- zero judgement. When I was getting my IUD placed, the health care provider Avi talked me through the entire process and made me feel a lot more comfortable. Overall, the care I got here was amazing. Please do not let the few negative reviews deter you!

I scheduled under the assumption my Nexplanon needed to be changed, but the doctor informed me I still had 2 years before that needed to be done. I left after a less than 5 minute appointment, and the receptionist told me I would not owe anything for the visit. 8 months later I recieved a bill. Although not expensive, it is annoying I was told one thing while they were billing my insurance for me literally saying hello and goodbye to the doctor.

I went in to get my first IUD. This location was very clean and Covid conscious. The staff made me feel comfortable and checked on me every couple minutes. The nurse let me know exactly what she was doing during the procedure so there were no surprises. Planned Parenthood is the best!

Very rude staffing. i came in for the depo shot like i’ve been doing for the past 3 years and the lady at the front desk was very rude about loosing my medical information, first trying to blame it on me saying I haven’t been here in a while, then after i corrected her it was oh well we got a new system. Then I get back to where they give you the shot and the nurses are really rude in tone and demanding. Like not once did I feel comfortable in this new office with these new people they all deserved to be fired for lack of compassion, hospitality, and just general manners.

A very lovely experience. Everyone was extremely welcoming. They made me feel safe and cared for and answered any questions I could’ve had. The NP was wonderful and explained everything thoroughly as well as asked if I had any questions. Would definitely recommend.

The wait was pretty long but I appreciated how kind, patient, and informative everyone was. I got my first Pap smear and had to get blood drawn (both of which I was terrified for) and it went pretty smoothly thanks to all the staff.

By far the best gyno health appointment I’ve ever had. I’d never been to a PP before. Avi Lovette (CRNP), her assistant, and the staff were empathetic, competent, and knowledgeable about current literature and research in women’s health. A long time ago I had a traumatic experience w/ a gyno. When I’ve told other private & hospital gynos about it & explained why I’m nervous about exams, they treat me like a liability. When I told Avi & her assistant about my anxiety, they were understanding, patient, sensitive to my needs. I’m relieved to know there’s a place I can go for compassionate care going forward. -KH

So grateful for this team! I had an unpleasant experience last year and refused to come back. My last two times have been amazing, non judgmental staff, very helpful and most importantly not dismissive to your needs.

I have been going to PP of MD for YEARS.. its never been a bad experience, especially since COVID. The only issue I ever had was the wait sometimes, but honestly - there really hasnt been much of one at all the last few times Ive been! Love the staff! They are always so fun, upbeat and never rude!

My nurse and scorpio sister Ivory made my experience thee best☺️ I love the office and everyone there was nice I have no complaints nothing but praises especially thanks to Ivory❤️

I generally come here for my contraceptive needs and this is my favorite location. Im always in and out and I have been coming here for almost 5 years. The staff has always been nice and courteous. Traffic can be a problem in the area depending on the time of day but thats out of their control. I would give them five stars if they didnt close so early on Fridays. I have to pick up my paycheck and children from school and taking in consideration the traffic by the clinic is no walk in the park, it would be nice to have longer Friday hours otherwise this is the best Planned Parenthood in the Baltimore area.

I visited a different Planned Parenthood a couple of months ago and had a very negative experience. I am pleased that I came back and sought care at this facility.As a trans identified person, seeking medical care can be very stressful and challenging. This office made the visit safe and comfortable for me.The person I dealt with at the front desk was kind, efficient, and welcoming. I wish I had gotten her name.My intake paperwork had FtM and MtF listed as gender, which is so huge for trans patients.The nurse Rosalyn who took my history and vitals was pleasant to deal with, funny, encouraging, and clearly had dealt with and had zero biases towards trans people. She even asked what my gender identity was, which I believe was one of the prompted questions on her screen. This is huge for trans and gender nonconforming people.The provider Avi was stellar. She answered my questions, made me feel safe, and clearly had dealt with transgender patients before.The fact that I was trans was not a hurtle to overcome - which has been an issue at other medical offices. It was a nonissue.My only complaint was long wait time, but I work in a medical setting as well and understand that sometimes this cannot be avoided.I cannot give high enough praise for the people in this office. I will be returning and I will be referring my local friends.

My first experience at this location went well. My 2nd did not. I explained to nurse the issues I was having twice. Both times she chalked it up to one resolution. No exam was done although for the issue I was having one should have. I also wish you could pick the nurse you will see.

I had made an appointment and was pleasantly surprised that they were able to see me in 2 weeks while the other gynecologists in the area have 2 month waits. However, I was 13 minutes late to my appointment, which I do feel bad about considering I am usually good about getting to appointments on time, however they told me they had to go to lunch and could not see me until an hour and ten minutes later because they needed a lunch break. I am a doctor as well and I dont turn away late clients so that I can go out for a lunch break - for me that is a difficult concept to understand. Plus I do not understand what they would have done if i made it to my appointment on time 13 minutes earlier - would they have skipped lunch or ate lunch while seeing me for my appointment or turned me away anyways so that they can go to lunch? I would have been much more understanding if they had told me they could not see me until later because they had too many other appointments and emergencies to deal with. That would have made sense.

These women are RAD. First virtual visit went flawlessly. Very helpful, friendly, kind, patient, and thorough. I love Planned Parenthood! This center is beautiful and clean. The service I received was excellent and the people I saw (Ivory and Kimberly) went out of their way to answer my questions, and address all of my concerns in a very professional and kind manner. I will definitely be returning.

I got my birth control done here today and i loved the experience. Everyone was super nice Dr Kimberly was great and very helpful but mostly Ivory was super sweet and very helpful with any questions i had.

Ivory, Maria and Nurse Practitioner Kimberly were a DREAM team. The team here provided a phone charger for my elderly grandmother who was in the waiting room. Amazing place with kind, caring people.

I arrived about 30 minutes to my appointment and they saw me almost immediately. The staff also took their time with me when I asked a lot of questions about various forms of birth control. I would recommend this location. Support your Planned Parenthood!

Very terrible experience! took forever to let me in and they said they had no record of me having an appointment to get the shot. everyone was very rude during my visit, especially the lady who gave me my shot. wouldn’t come back here even if it was my last option.

I always have a very good experience when I come into this doctor’s office for appointments. The staff is very friendly and quick. You never have to wait too long. Most importantly, they answer all my questions in a helpful manner!

They are very rude and very slow. The nurses are not friendly and they give you attitude. They are slow and do no show good customer service. I will never go here again! They don’t answer the phone I had to go in person to make another appointment and after waiting 30 mind ust to make another appointment( which I didn’t !!) I became very fed up and so I left. They need a complete makeover !

I love this place so much, the staff is so friendly and caring, also I wasn’t sure if I could bring my kid with me since I had no one to watch him that day and I did and they even gave him snacks and toy to keep him calm and busy, thank you guys 🥺 I wish I need the receptionist name, she was very nice

Everyone was polite, empathetic, and patient from start to finish. I was so nervous but thanks to the staff and nurse practitioner, getting the arm implant was an easy process.

PPH of Owings Mills has the most patient understanding workers I’ve ever experienced. Ashlee who’s at the front desk had to deal with the most intolerable person and she still was polite and helpful and giving her nothing but the best customer care and service....I’m totally impressed by the staff here and there pleasant attitudes.

I went today there and they’re absolutely amazing! All the staffs very friendly and respectful! I felt welcome and recommend to all my friends. Thank you for your service.

Awful. the girl didn’t even know what she was talking about. why did she get hired?? she had to place me on hold for every question i had and she had to ask her counterpart for every single answer. why didn’t i just talk to the counterpart, she lazy or something??!! highly dissatisfying experience. they always tell you to go to planned parenthood in school, and then you actually go and it is a dumb decision. 😴🥱

I looked online for their policies and procedures for pregnancy test and the websites states that they take walk ins during hour of business everyday except tuesday. Today is clearly Thursday, they did not close til 7p and when I called and asked I was told to come in. I got an uber and got all the way up there and filled out the paper to be told they stop doing them an hour before their last patient. How is someone supposed to know that walking in! And she stated she would ask her manager. Than when I asked to speak to the manager all of a sudden the manager is not there. So Im guessing she must have evaporated into thin air. I proceeded to show her the Web page since she was convinced I was lying and she said well you can come back tomorrow. Why would I come all the way back up here again and probably get told the same thing! Im upset because I called and was told to come in. I would not have wasted money. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE AND PLEASE LET EVERYONE IN YOUR OFFICE KNOW UPDATED POLICIES!!!!!!!

Terrrrrible service they act like they don’t want to work here and there is 2 people at the desk assisting one person. The bald African American lady just was sitting there talking nothing more nothing less ..I don’t think she want her job honestly they need a new more professional staff , there is people literally asking for help telling them there website don’t work they don’t care eather not to mention that they didn’t even call me for my appointment like it was said when i scheduled it if I wouldn’t have came up here I would of been looking dumb don’t waist ur time go to another planned parenthood this one needs new employees!

This was my first time going to a place like this all by myself. Teka, the lady at the front window was so kind and made me feel very comfortable and even made me laugh. The women who took care of me in the back were also polite and comforting. Great environment!!

Rang the bell for 10 minutes before someone answered the door to let me in. When I go in, they ask me for my insurance even though the page I filled out before my appointment I put I was uninsured; so I inform the lady I have no insurance then they tell me that they’re sorry and to have a good day then gave me back my ID. All I was in there for was an STD testing which I’ve gotten free at other planned parenthood’s before so I just don’t understand why all the sudden I need insurance.

I had the best time here. I was there for an Implant Insertion and STI Screening and they went out of there way to help me. Thank you!

I used to love coming there for years until one of the receptionist Barbra shared out loud my health information while there were people in the waiting room. Then finally, I reported her to HIPPA.

I have been waiting nearly 2 hours past my scheduled appointment for an annual exam. Staff are friendly, but this place is horribly managed.

They are very inconsiderate. They will have you waiting 30 minutes to be seen but if you show up five mins late they act like they cant see you. Horrible costumer service
