Several years ago Dr. Mathews performed a minimally invasive surgery successfully on me when several other surgeons insisted it had to be done in a much more invasive way. I since utilize her for my regular annual exams as well. Dr. Mathews has always been kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend her!

I had been going to my OBGYN with symptoms that were often dismissed and did not feel heard. Dr. Matthews was incredible, she listened to me and really made me feel assured. She was responsive to my concerns and helped come up with a treatment plan. She was so kind and a wonderful bedside manner which is rare to find these days. I walked out of there feeling better than I have in a long time. Thank you Dr. Matthews!

I’m so happy I scheduled an appointment and met with Dr Mathews. She is very knowledgeable and super friendly. She makes what would normally be an uncomfortable appointment extremely comfortable. The staff and her nurse are also very welcoming! Highly recommend Dr Mathews!

Let me start by saying I am not always trusting of doctors. Ive had 2 wonderful doctors in my adult life and Dr. Mathews is one of them. Shes relatable, she listens and she explains things to you without being judgmental or condescending. Dr. Mathews recently performed my surgery. I was mortified of having any kind of surgery let alone a myomectomy, but Dr. Mathews was kind and caring when she came to see me before the surgery. She comforted me and let me know everything was going to be fine. Post surgery I had some questions and she was prompt in returning my call and ordering follow up tests. Dr. Mathews assured me she would be available should I need further assistance. If youre looking for a doctor who listens and prioritizes your health, Dr. Mathews is the one! I did not have a very pleasant experience with Dr. Mathews. All other staff were pleasant and kind, who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Dr Mathews was dismissive, rude and arrogant. After waiting for 40 minutes to see her, which I understand waiting times can be long, she snapped at me for asking for a few minutes till we could confirm the price of the procedure that I needed and continued to argue with me till the point that I started crying. She continued complaining about me in the hallway telling everyone that Im in the wrong. Finally when we did the procedure, she didnt tell me what she was doing, or follow ups. It was cold and clinical. I felt extremely upset through the whole thing.

Everyones comments are on point! She is just so personable, a good hearted doctor that takes the time to listen, and knows her stuff. She did my hysterectomy in July 2020 and did such a great job even before the surgery with explaining how she would be completing the procedure. In my case, I had Essure implants that not everyone performs removal for. After researching a lot, I thought I would have to travel far to get someone to do my surgery. Ladies, you are in trusted hands. Thanks Dr. Mathews for everything!

Dr Mathew’s is absolutely AMAZING on so many levels. After seeing 3 other drs in the past year, I wish I had only found her sooner. She is so compassionate, knowledgeable, patient and thorough. It was so refreshing and appreciated to be treated so kindly by her and all the staff. Thank you!

Dr Mathews is like visiting with your BFF. I used to dread gynecological appointments, but with Dr Mathews I feel at ease. She is caring, informative, trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable. She has the perfect balance of professionalism and bedside manner. She is a true gem.

2 stars - Not very impressed with Dr. Mathews. Was referred to her by my regular gyno for an endometriosis consult, and she was patronizing, demeaning, and dismissive. I did not feel comfortable around her. She vehemently confirmed that there is no way that I have endo despite debilitating pain, and that I just have IBS and the pain must be in my head. A few months later, I go to a surgeon for a lap - turns out I have Stage 3 Endo. Shameful that an obgyn specializing in one of the most common diseases in women is so dismissive of this condition._____2022 Edit - 3 stars:My second visit with Dr. Matthews was much better. I think she was having an off day. I saw her after my surgery for follow up care, and she was more kind and helpful. While there wasnt much she could offer, I had a much better experience with her during my second visit.

In treating a chronic illness, my specialist discovered a gyn issue that was likely causing pain and other issues that were contributing to and confusing whether my treatment for this chronic illness was as effective as it could be. My ob/gyn pretty much dismissed this concern over several years. After 2 years, I sought a second option from a gyn who validated my concerns and referred me to Dr. Mathews for a minimally invasive surgical option. Dr. Mathews also validated my concerns in a friendly, open and honest manner. She presented me with a permanent solution, albeit surgical, with no promises or guarantees made considering the compounding issues with my chronic illness - just an honest option I was willing and ready to take. Just to feel validated and have someone really address what was going on with a logical and rational explanation of my options was so amazing. The staff in the office are equally as welcoming, friendly, and professional. I am now 3 weeks post op, free from the pain and issues my gyn issues were causing, and cannot recommend Dr. Mathews any more or rate her any higher. I owe her so much for the relief of pain I never should have been expected to or asked to deal with.

Dr. Mathews is very professional and kind. She takes the time to listen to her patients concerns and explains everything thoroughly. Shes absolutely incredible and Im so glad I found her.

Dr. Matthew’s was very thorough and put me at ease during my examination. The only criticism I have is not with dr Matthews but with the address on the website. It should include that the office is in the Medical Arts Pavilion and the suite number is incorrect. Her suite is 540 not 450. I had great difficulty finding the office on my first appointment.

Upon moving to NJ I was most apprehensive about finding a great GYN that would understand my conditions and offer solutions to manage symptoms. Dr. Mathews has not only done just that, but has offered solutions that have drastically improve my quality of life, that no other GYN has suggested, and given empathy and care every time we meet. I truly cannot recommend her enough. Thank you, Dr. Mathews!

Dr Mathews RULES! I concur with EVERY comment prior to this. She gave me my life back also, after suffering for more than 10 years with several misdiagnosis’. She’s very cool 😎And I leave appointments feeling happier than when I arrived and I think I always tell her “ I love you” on the way out. I am super grateful; no more than that!
