I would write a zero-star review if I could. Incompetent service and lack of empathy. Go anywhere else. When they made a mistake in my IUD placement which was expensive to fix, they charged me for fixing their error and told me that the fix was optional even though I was in extreme pain. I have had 3 IUDs before so I know what its normally supposed to feel like. They told me they had placed it correctly even though I was deeply in pain.If you read the other reviews, you will see that this office ignores what women say about their own bodies. Go elsewhere if you want healthcare practitioners who will treat you with respect and empathy.

New patient at Bayside OBGYN the staff was amazing and I had the best Dr. Caroline she was understanding. I can tell she cares about her patients and loves what she does. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed I recommend this practice if you are looking for an OBGYN.

I started going to this place since I was 11 weeks pregnant. I am now in my third trimester and definitely will not be returning. Dr. Fersan is very nonchalant and dismissive of my questions and concerns. He is not an engaging Doctor and creates a very unwelcoming atmosphere. Not to mention that nurse Denise, who needs to know her place. I had a very bad experience with her, jumping to conclusion without even asking me any questions. She needs to decide if she wants to be a therapist or a nurse. Then threatening to dismiss me when I called about a situation that was frustrating. As a black female, I will not be returning given those threats next thing they try to hurt me and my unborn baby. The staff needs to be trained properly. I requested a letter to outline some limitations, and had to re-request this letter at least two times because it was so vague. I’m not sure what school they went to or who taught them but they need proper training. Dr. Fersan needs to work on his mannerism and approach towards pregnant women. This is a very sensitive time in our lives and he needs to take that in consideration or consider another field.

I have nothing but amazing things to say, I have only been a patient for a short period of time but they have been 10/10 every time! I got my first exam and it came back with some questions, every nurse I have talked to on the phone has been sweet, loving, attentive, educational etc,. especially Erin (I believe that’s her name! She took time and effort to explain things into detail and put me at ease). I started seeing Doctor Fersan and I have been on birth control for almost 10 years and nobody has ever took the time to explain birth control to me like he did! He went into depth explaining everything to me that I had questions about, was EXTREMELY educational & made me feel safe and comfortable. I would recommend!

First of all the staff? 12/10! Welcoming, assuring, and so very kind. I see dr fersan I would highly recommend him. Came to him with some issues FINALLY didn’t think I was crazy and got me in touch with the right people. A few months later I had my stage 3 endometriosis removed, got diagnosed with PCOS, and bladder issues. Can’t say enough good things about the people who work here!

Are you kidding me? I feel like I rarely post reviews but this one needs to be said. I saw a male gyno here. I was promised that he would never be alone in the room with me, he was. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. The first thing he did when he looked at me was comment on my shaving habits. When I brought up a concern to be looked at he asked me if I gained weight. When I said maybe he immediately decided that was the problem, no tests were done. This was annoying but it was made worse. I went to a different gyno and within SECONDS of her examining me she was able to speculate on what the problem was. She swabbed me (which took literally two seconds) and I got the result within a week. Don’t go here and especially don’t be seen by this man. He is content to insult your weight and let you walk around for months with an infection.

I have been coming here since 2018 and both doctors I have seen there (the first one left the practice and my new one is Dr. Skudlarek) are kind, calming, and really make you feel as comfortable as possible. The staff is always nice to me and they never assume anything when I go in just because I am a woman, like some urgent cares and walk ins like to do. The place is also very clean and nice. I just had my annual recently and even though they were busy they still took the time to listen to my concerns and take care of me like they normally would.

I have been a patient at Bayside for the past 16 years. All 3 of my children were delivered by dr’s at Bayside. My care was often transferred based on who delivered my last child. As I am relatively healthy, it didn’t matter much to me who did my annual. The last few years I was seeing Dr. Maddock. I was happy with his care but he left the practice. A few months ago my annual was performed by a new dr at the practice, Dr. Fersan. Everything was fine, but I’ve experienced heavy menstral flow and was referred for an ultrasound which revealed several mid-size fibroids. Dr Fersan told me to consider my options which ranged from an IUD to hysterectomy. I did some research, considered my lifestyle, and talked to multiple women about the pros and cons of both. Ultimately, I scheduled an appointment to discuss moving forward with a hysterectomy. However, despite Dr Fersan repeatedly telling me it was 100% my decision, a 45 minute “discussion” about trying an IUD first ensued and no matter what I said, he had a reason for me to go that route before a hysterectomy. It was very frustrating and disheartening but I got tired of arguing and relented. Even after they prepped me, I expressed hesitation but he continued to push for the IUD. I gave up and left the office with the Mirena in place. As I drove home and thought about the experience, I was so angry and frustrated that I left there with something I DID NOT WANT despite being told it was my decision. It definitely DID NOT feel like it. What should have been a 10 minute visit resulted in an hour visit and an unwanted IUD. I have since tracked down Dr Maddock and have an appointment with him. I will not be returning to Bayside and I would STRONGLY recommend seeing someone other than Dr Fersan if you want to be heard.

During my pregnancy, I saw Dr. Sullivan. I can’t say enough about how amazing she is. She walks you through everything. Answers any question or concern you have. She gets right back to you if you call in about anything. I always went out of my way to see her at both her providence location and east Greenwich location as they were 30-40 minutes away from me. Will always continue to go back to her in the future.

Ive been here a few times. Dr. Wharton was very helpful, welcoming, and accommodating for my first visit. Front desk staff are also very pleasant and helpful when I needed them. My last appointment was with Dr. Fersan where I was seeking some help from my doctors who were aware of my situation. The experience with this doctor was extremely unpleasant, with short responses, and uncaring/dismissive attitude. I was at a loss for words by the lack of help I received by this specific doctor. Ive decided not to come here anymore as a patient due to the treatment this last time.

Had an appointment today 6/29 and when got there the ladies at the front desk were gossiping didn’t acknowledged me until they finished running their mouth to then tell me my appointment was canceled and that the doctor had an emergency. Did not ask to see another doctor nothing . I took time off work but that’s not their business. First time and last .NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL .

I’ve been coming to bayside for over 4 years and the I will gladly wait for a new patient appointment anywhere else before I ever go back here. The staff is unnervingly unprofessional, uninformed, and arrogant. I’ve had them cancel my annual appointment twice this year, once by mail without rescheduling me and then again when I finally got an appointment 2 months later without any call. I actually received a confirmation for my appointment but the rude receptionist insisted they called to cancel. Then proceeded to have me explain my issue I’m having from 6 ft. Away for everyone to hear while she was Incorrectly wearing a mask. Some of the doctors here used to be worth the wait, however none of their current staff is worth it.

I love my Dr. Gary Wharton. Hes so knowledgeable, professional and was very supportive of my decision to get a second opinion on getting a hysterectomy in my 20s. After every appointment he briefs with you on his conclusion and always answers any questions you have. I was so happy he delivered my son. Hes been my Dr.for 19 years now!

Old ob-gym retired and transferred all records to this practice. Made appts twice with Dr. Caroline Skudlarek and both cancelled via post mail. No calls to try to reschedule with you and then they won’t have any appts available for 1-2 months if you call them. Also, trying to get any cancelled slots sooner due to your own cancelled spot is not available to any new patients. Stay away from this one.

I used to enjoy coming here and still have good experiences but now second guessing because doctors and staff push their own personal and bias beliefs in a place of medicine. Additionally, inclusivity, accessible procedures, and fair practice and treatment to patients is neglected. All of which are completely inappropriate for a medical practice specializing in women’s health.
