My problem was a complete uterine prolapse. I started in December of 2023 with a group of doctors that told me that I needed surgery but that would not happen until April 2024. In March after one test after another I was referred to Dr. Erhart in Port Jefferson he recommended Dr. Garely and said he was the best. I called for an appointment and originally was given a date in April. When I explained the situation they told me they would do everything they could to get me in asap. They called the next day and by the end of the week I had an appointment. Dr. Garely was wonderful. He examined me then sat and explained everything that was going to happen. Scheduled my surgery within 4 weeks. By the end of April everything was over. I can not begin to tell you how grateful I feel to this doctor and his team. Everyone was so helpful and polite. I would highly recommend Dr. Garely and his team to everyone.

Dr Garely did my surgery in June , I had a bladder mesh done. I told Dr Garely he changed my life!! I no longer have discomfort or am not frequently using bathroom. I highly recommend Dr Garely for his skills and his wonderful bedside manner!!! His staff are great people esp his nurse , who I absolutely love Aretha was so wonderful to me!!

The office runs really well as of 12/4/2023. Very smooth check in process- largely conducted on my cell phone. The chairs are comfortable in the waiting room. The wait time in the exam room typically isn’t long. There are exceptions, but that’s typically when someone has something terribly serious going on and they deserve all the time the dr can give them and I’m very willing to wait for that. This is a specialty practice. You’re in great hands with Dr Garley. He is the dr to see if you have a minor or major issue, he has the experience to properly diagnose and treat a range of conditions. I have experienced an 8 hour surgery with him, and also non surgical treatment of chronic infection- he was professional and highly skilled in both situations. Dr Garely has been my doctor for a number of years. He was highly recommended by my gynecologist. I am grateful that he has improved my quality of life. I no longer have pain or burning, and Im able to sleep through the night without making frequent trips to the bathroom. Dr. Garely is very knowledgeable and patient. I never felt rushed during my visits. Dr. Garely was gentle during the examination. I had several followup appointments to make sure the medication he prescribed was working and I felt better. The staff was always pleasant and professional. I give Dr Garely and his Staff 5 STARS for top quality treatment. Dr. Alan Garely is the go to Dr for all your urogynecology needs.

Long overdue review...Dr. Garley performed my surgery after years of wanting him to, many visits & waiting for covid to pass. I knew my decision to go with Dr. G was the right one. I felt extremely confident in him from day one. He was always patient with me & his staff was always very helpful, kind & professional. I have referred people to him knowing they will be in good hands. The hospital staff, my 2 days days there, gave me excellent care.

From consultation, surgery and then post op, Dr. Garely was helpful quick and professional. My issue was resolved and I couldnt be any happier with the results. Would recommend 10/10.

I was referred to Dr Garely by my gynecologist in July. I had a prolapsed bladder for several years & prior referrals to other specialist went no where. They all wanted to give treatments or devices, some of which I tried to no avail. I had my first appointment with Dr Garely in early September. From my first call, through my visits leading up to my surgery, to my post surgical follow-ups, Dr Garely & his staff were extremely knowledgeable & professional! Dr. Garely gave me two options after my exam & I opted for surgery. He made me feel very confident about my decision. The surgery was performed on November 10 as an ambulatory procedure. I was informed as to what to expect afterwards. Following the information given, my recovery went well. My issue was fixed & Im feeling really good about it! Although it was a long ride from my residence to the office, it was well worth my time! I cant thank Dr.Garely, his staff & all involved in my care. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services. They are a 5 star office who gave me a positive outcome!

Transferred to a new doctor because of a series of very unprofessional events by Dr. Garely and his office. In my 6 weeks appointment after prolapse surgery, Dr. Garely disregarded my question about why I needed to go to the bathroom more often than before surgery by telling me that I should ask God about it. He acted with arrogance, rudeness and showed zero empathy during the visit. I told him that a doctor could explain things to patients, even if the explanation is something like: “we really do not know why this is happening, but these are some potential explanations…”It could have been a coincidence, but since that moment, every time that I called the office I was transferred to an after-hours answering system when calling in office hours. As a consequence, my messages were never replied and I was unable to get a prescription for a medicine that I needed to help me with the symptoms. Another unprofessional event happened when my surgery got postponed just the day before going into the operating room because Dr. Garely got COVID. I understand that Dr. Garely is not responsible for getting sick, of course. The problem was that I had done the pre-surgical testing and lab for it, yet I will need to repeat it a few months later. Despite the fact that it was not my fault, I got billed >$500. I called the financial services at Mount Sinai South Nassau and they told me that they will work it out so that I should not have to pay. They also told me later on, when I called to confirm my balance, to not worry about it because I had all my balance paid. However, I have received a letter from a debt collector asking me to pay that bill. I have called financial services, and nobody can explain why my bill got sent to a debt-collector. It seems that so many unprofessional events have happened with this doctor, some are his fault, some might be his office s fault and some might be the hospitals. However, the amount of stress that my experience with this doctor has provided, along with the potential financial consequences, are worse than my original medical symptoms. If you can, choose another doctor.

Dr. Alan Garely is an amazing doctor! I had the best experience from consultation to surgery and follow up.From my first consultation appointment with Dr. Garely, I felt very comfortable with his expertise and knowledge. He is an incredibly skilled, kind, confident and a good listener. He was patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. Dr Alan Garely was warm, friendly, and extremely thorough.On the day of surgery, Dr. Garely was professional and reassuring at the same time. He showed compassion, sensitivity, competence, and thoroughness. He is a brilliant surgeon with outstanding ethical standards, he is a meticulous, and exceptional individual.I am extremely happy with the results from the surgery, it was beyond outstanding, a huge success. He was very supportive, and my recovery was easy. Hands down the best professional doctor ever. Don’t get thrown off by his slight ego. He’s merely confident, and great at what he does. Better believe he’d do an amazing JOB. I’d choose him over and over.

I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to Dr Garely. I’ve had many complications from a pelvic mesh from a previous doctor and Dr Garely has been a God sent. I still continue to have multiple complications and Dr Garely continues to help me.He goes above and beyond to make sure that we find the correct solution to correct my problem.He is always so helpful and wants to find the best treatment for me. He knows his stuff!He takes pride in his work and I couldn’t be any luckier knowing that he has my back!He’s a great doctor, the absolute best!!He hasn’t given up on me and I couldn’t be happier having him as my doctor.I would refer him to anybody!!

I am so grateful for Dr. Garely, his amazing team, and the team at South Nassau Community Hospital.After having several vaginal surgeries by another provider to repair uterine and bladder prolapse that were not successful, I felt I had to live with this condition.My gynecologist referred me to Dr. Garely, since he felt he could help me. I was very reluctant, however, my gynecologist convinced me to just go for a consultation even if I decided not to do anything .As soon as I met Dr. Garely, I felt so comfortable. He made me feel that he could correct my issue with a high success rate. Between his confidence, pleasantness, and humor, I felt that I would go ahead with the surgery.It has been 7 weeks since my surgery which was successful and I feel great.I highly recommend anyone with urogynecology issues, to make an appointment and have a least a consult with Dr. Garely.

Would give zero stars if could. Rude, no compassion, absolutely the worst experience. After waiting over an hour to see him my 94 year old mother was refused an evaluation and told to go elsewhere after being referred to him. Stay away!

After two visit with other drs and not being happy with their solution. My research took me to Dr.Garely. After the first visit I knew I came to the right place. Dr Garely made me feel so comfortable about the surgery. I would recommend him highly and just say always research to find the best just like I did. Thank you to Dr Garely and all his staff.

The utmost amazing doctor. I had a very serious problem which was a botch from another surgery. Dr. Garley was confident he could help. He reconstructed the issue and did a great job. I can’t say enough about him. THE BEST!!!

Id give zero if I could. I saw this response from another review and knew right away this place is HORRIBLE. HELL NO will I ever go to a place like this. Even as a teacher we are taught not to refer to any child as disabled. Then they said it is very difficult, what a nasty response. My practice is sorry she had a bad experience on the phone. If she calls back, I am sure we will get her daughter right in.

I am so furious right not. I took my 25 year old non verbal daughter to the gyn and she said that I need to take her to a urogyn. I look at my insurance and Dr. Garely seemed highly scored. Well I couldnt get past the girl on the phone. She actually told me to go back the the gyn and get a more comprehensive reason, why she needed to see him??? R U Serious. Like so now who ever is answering the phones is the medical dr. requiring detailed info, which I did tell her what I saw which is why I took her to the gyn in the first place??? being referred by a dr. is not enough to make a damn appointment.

Dr.Garely not only possesses clinical expertise but excellent patient listening skills when diagnosing a problem. This is a combination that not many physicians have learned and practice. I will be forever grateful to him for all his care. JL

In June 6,2023, Dr Garley did a procedure on me. I am glad he was the Dr, he did an excellent job.

Very positive initial visit. I found the Doctor to be very straightforward with providing information and answering question(s). Nurses were friendly which helped me to feel very comfortable.

Sad that calls aren’t returned and your sent to voicemail. Just needed an appointment. If the office is not taking patients, in fairness to people who need medical care, potential patients should be advised of same. Not ignored.

He gave me such a sence of peace about my procedure. His staff was wonderful when he wasnt present. I wish he could be my doctor for every issue.

I have sent a email and left a phone message just to get an appointment but no response. Doctor was highly recommended by my gynecologist.
