Im writing this from a husbands point of view.Covenant Medical Center Harrison is where my daughter, Payton, was born. We had a scheduled c-section and the procedure went as planned. Shes very healthy and thriving being just over a week old. Now, Harrison wasnt at all bad. There were some instances that I didnt care for and attitudes from staff that could change. For the most part, everyone was very helpful! In our first room, the nurses were helpful to my wife and she was able to feel relaxed before the procedure. At this time, there were multiple nurses coming in and out, asking questions. My wifes doctor came in and talked a little with her to calm her down as much as possible. As a husband, i felt she was in good hands.During her procedure, I was able to sit right next to her after they prepped the c-section. Everyone was super nice and attentive to both my wife, me, and our baby! After, we went to our recovery room where two nurses asked questions to my wife as she held our baby. They were very nice! After the recovery room (on the 4th floor) we went to the 3rd floor to the room we were going to stay in overnight. My wifes mother was able to be with us since they allowed only two support persons. The room was a little small, but we made it work! The nurses did their best to keep my wife comfortable and not overwhelmed. There were a couple nurses that seemed to be in a bad mood at points but, for the most part, most had good attitudes. The nurses that we had during the day and night were really attentive to my wifes needs. The last day is why Ive left a four star rating. Unfortunately, there were a few nurses that seemed to rush us out of the hospital. My wife just underwent a major surgery and was still having a hard time walking on her own. We stayed two nights but she couldve definitely used a third. The nurse during the day was adament in getting us out asap. They brought down release papers so we could sign them. Once we decided that we were okay with leaving, I packed all of our things into the vehicle and pulled it up to the front of the building. What was disappointing to see was that we walked down the hallway and all the way out to our vehicle without one nurse asking if we would like to have a wheelchair. My wife, who underwent a major surgery two days prior, just walked down a hallway and out to our vehicle in pain. No one seemed to care and it felt like they were happy we finally left. I know for a fact, that in the past, mothers who had a c-section would have had the option to be taken out in a wheelchair. Nurses need to be more attentive to this. This is my only major problem.Overall, its a great place to have your baby. I love the memories that we had together and wouldnt take them back! The food was a big plus too! If you ever go here, make sure you get the Orange Sherbet Shake! Itll change your world! Also, theres pictures of whats in the cafeteria if youd like to know before going down!

If I could give no stars I would. This was the worst experience at a hospital that I have ever been to. We were in the ER with our newborn daughter who had high levels of jaundice and they were there for 5 hours. We finally got a room on the peds floor and I ended up staying alone in the room without my husband because it was a shoebox with one recliner, it was so small. Every single nurse and doctor that dealt with her didn’t wear gloves and I didn’t see them wash their hands. I had to call them out a couple times and then they finally did. Every time a couple minutes went by, another random doctor came into our room and did the same thing for vital signs with our baby. It felt like just one big experiment. I didn’t sleep for 24 hours straight and about 7 medical students and a doctor came into our room to “watch”. I had to explain to them that this is my newborn daughter who is only a week old, there should not be this many people in here especially in such a small room. I did not want her to get sick. He ignored me after I said I wanted them to leave so I was frustrated. All he told us was the exact same thing the other 10 doctors told us. On top of everything, when we got into the peds floor, it smelt like marijuana. My husband and I both noticed it immediately . These doctors and nurses were just terrible, incompetent , and oblivious to your feelings. I swear I will NEVER go back here and will find another hospital. I would not recommend this horrible place to ANYONE so avoid if you can.

My 9 year old son came down with pneumonia over Christmas break and was admitted to the pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Covenant. I can’t over-express how wonderful each and every staff member has been…from the people sitting at the front desk in the ER, to the nurses, to the attending physicians, and right down to the wonderful housekeeper who was so good with my little guy. They have all been amazing and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

We live about an hour away, but our 5 year old daughter needed her first surgery & we were very comfortable leaving her in the hands of all the staff. Dr Williams was incredible & all the nurses & other doctors/workers we came into contact with was super nice, friendly, & made us as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend to anyone. Also wanted to add our daughter doesn’t like leaving mine or her fathers side besides for school, but they also had her comfortable to the point she went back without a single issue. Absolutely loved this hospital & staff all the way around.

This review is based on the front desk staff and current visitor policy and not healthcare. The lady at the surgery waiting room desk was nice enough and apologetic about the rules of only 2 people being allowed to wait, even though there was plenty of space. We abided the rules despite our 93 year old grandmother having a risky surgery. Later, a lady at the front desk was so adamant about the rules when 2 of us popped in to check the surgery screens. She was questioning who we were and repeating herself many times about the 2 people rule (there were only about 4 people in the waiting room at this time). We kept having to repeat that we were only going to be 2 people at a time popping in to check the screens and when she said the doctor was going to come down we said we would send down two of the daughters since we were the granddaughters. She insisted we tell her who was coming and again there can only be 2 and it was absolutely ridiculous how much this policy was being made a priority. This is absolutely unacceptable when visitors are there for their loved ones in life or death situations.

This week I gave birth to my son at The Harrison Center at Covenant in Saginaw. I am incredibly in awe at how absolutely wonderful every staff personnel I came into contact with was regarding the care of my newborn and myself. It was the most magical experience and I am left with the beautiful memories of how well I was taken care of and how kind each individual working there is. I am so grateful to the medical staff in labor and delivery and the postpartum sector of the Covenant building. You will all hold a special place in my heart. With love, Autumn and Ollivander.

Tina, Ty and Ryan have been exceptionally wonderful at caring for my grandpa. Covenant health care has never disappointed or let us down in the realm of medical care. The staff in its entirety makes the bad days seem not so bad for him and they have all been wonderful about keeping us updated. Covenant is topping the charts in providing care and companionship to their patients and I’m comfortable knowing my grandpa has been left in good hands. Thank you for all you do! You are appreciated beyond belief and our family will continue to resort to Covenant for our future health care needs. ❤️

Lets hope nothing bad happens from here on out otherwise my blood is on all your hands including the un caring nurses. I have years of mental health problems. None were looked into. The nurses wanted me to walk home at 1 am an hour from home in Saginaw. Most uncaring hospital Ive ever experienced. I was calm, scared and collected. The doctors and nurses cared NOTHING FOR ME. Dr. Mello is so wonderful. I went here for all of my pregnancy and childbirth. Though they cant guarantee that the doctor youve been seeing through the pregnancy will be the one on duty to deliver the baby, I was lucky enough to have her during delivery as well. Phenomenal doctor! Highest recommendations for Dr. Mello, the nurses and the lactation consultants! Everyone was extremely helpful and well-mannered.Dr. Mello would take the time to make sure all of my questions were answered and always mantained an upbeat attitude. I was even comfortable enough to laugh several times during labor, including during pushing. Keep up the great work Dr. Mello! Youre amazing!

I’m very upset with all this Covid policy that are nothing more than the government holding hospitals at gun point. Medicare and Medicaid $$$ to the hospitals are involved with these ridiculous mask regulations. If they are of real value in stopping the spread of Covid, then why is it that you see nurses and doctors not wearing them while sitting around chatting behind the nurses station and then throw them on when they see someone approaching the station. Patients don’t have them on while in there rooms. Not to mention depending on what facility your are visiting there so called policy’s vary. This whole mask thing is a farce. It’s political not policy. Show me the SCIENCE, data anything that proves mask stop the spread of the Covid virus.Oh by the way, how many do we need to wear at a time, paper, cloth, ….. washable , disposable. Do I change them hourly, daily, wear them while driving alone in my car…. Walking outside in the open. So many made up policy’s to keep the sheep 🐑 in order.
