Dr. Callahan was thorough and listened to any concerns. This is the first time Ive met her since co-founder, Dr. Barbara Toppin, retired in 2023. I hope the new staff continues the legacy of two incredible doctors, Dr. Wanda Adefris and Dr. Toppin, who provided superior care and concern for women in all phases of life.

LOVED Dr George. She was kind, patient and knowledgable. She made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. The clinic staff is friendly and competent and made me feel heard and welcome. Highly recommend Adefris & Toppin Womens Specialists!

Dr. Boeke made me feel heard and understood, and I left my appointment feeling infinitely better about my medical issues. He clearly trusts his patients when they talk about their bodies, he cites medical studies when offering context for care, and gave great advice and a follow-up plan. Im so glad he came to this practice!!

Dr. Boeke is very kind and caring. I had an induction for my second child and he explained everything and helped me make the most informed decision on how I wanted my induction to go. Induction/delivery went as well as I could have ever hoped for. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr. Broke was amazing. I am a high risk patient who previously experienced a late term stillbirth and he sat and talked with me, didn’t make me feel silly for all my questions and he fit me into his schedule on a busy day. Each time I’ve called the office, the staff has been overwhelming helpful, patient, and positive. I can’t wait to continue to partner with them on my health journey.

Extremely organized, clean, thoughtful and thorough. Everyone seemed to actually care about the patient versus maintaining a specific time slot for care. I felt valued and heard for the first time in a medical office. Dr. Boeke was awesome! Took excellent care of me and I will be a patient of his for as long as i am in Minnesota

WARNING ⚠️ I’m just going to go straight to the point and this goes out to all the women if you need an IUD removed from your body please and I repeat please don’t go to this place for surgery because every since my fiancé gotten her IUD procedure done here she has not been the same She has been having anxiety attacks, panic attacks, pain, depression, numb, tightness in her chest, shortness of breath, and more this could even cause you to not sleep well and less appetite. And yes they had her to sign a consent form but not explain what she should might be expecting once this procedure is done, so if you are reading this I advise you to take action fast because as her fiancé experiencing these weird symptoms and moments that she is going through I’m not happy and that being said I am in the middle of filling a lawsuit against whoever that was involved in this matter people protect yourself and be safe. 🙏

I had a really great appointment with Dr Boeke. He is a patient, resourceful physician, who listens before offering advice. I got a lot of information about meds, and his thoughts what might or might not be causing pain, and currently recommendations about frequency of imagery. Will also explore foods that contribute to inflammation, and identify things to avoid.

I was extremely impressed with the care I received. I am use to having to advocate for myself and actually felt as if Dr. Boeke had my best interest in mind with all my options and recommendations. I am extremely happy with the care he has provided thus far.

Ive been a patient for five years. All of the care providers at Adefris & Toppin are excellent and professional. I always feel welcome as soon as I walk in the door. I never feel rushed during my appointments.

Dr Crepeau’s calming, candid, and kind manner is so wonderful when undergoing uncomfortable and concerning procedures. She’s an absolute pro and I trust her completely.

Dr. George has been my primary obgyn for prenatal, delivery and postpartum care. Dr. Adefris was wonderful! I felt like she really listened to me and had my best interests at heart. I also greatly appreciate how quickly I was able to be scheduled for an appointment once I was able to get medical records sent. The front desk staff was very friendly and patient with me when I called multiple times about getting my records to them.

I’m a physician who went to see Dr Adefris as a patient. Seeing what i see as a hospitalist/ intensivist , I would NEVER want to be a patient in my practice.But after meeting Dr Adifris, I ALWAYS wanted to be her patient! She alleviated my concerns and constant stress about some pivotal issues in my life. Her expert consultation and input has helped me practice without constant stress. I feel free and liberated after following her advice.She is smart elegant and professional physician who I wish had come across earlier in life. Thank you for your excellent advice.

Wonderful physician and care. Absolute worst billing process Ive ever experienced. My payments from my HSA were not processed, but I received weekly phone calls, bordering on harassment, asking for payment which had been sent. I had to send payment three times before it was processed. I will not use this provider again because they had no record of my payment and spent more time calling me than trying to find the funds already sent directly from my HSA.

The staff was incredibly wonderful from the front desk all the way back! Reidun Wald is so kind and caring and has a way of making you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation! Thank you!

I had my first visit this week and I can confidently say I’m looking forward to building a long term patient/doctor relationship with Dr. Adefris. She is competent, efficient, compassionate, and funny. Just an all around safe feeling individual. She addressed all my concerns and taught me new things about my body. The other staff also seem very kind in my limited interaction with them. As someone with a lot of medical trauma, I knew immediately that wouldn’t be the case at this clinic. I don’t go out of my way to leave reviews, but they deserve all the clientele they can get.

Incredible providers and staff members. From the moment you walk in, Denise always greets you with a smile. The nurses are always so kind and attentive to your needs and answer all questions without judgement. I had all my OB appointments with Dr George and Dr Callahan and can’t say enough good things about my time and experience with them. They are both very relatable, kind, and communicative. My daughter was delivered by Dr Callahan and I am so grateful for her care and expertise throughout my labor and delivery. She was very respectful of my requests and gave her advice and encouragement every step of the way without judgement or pushiness. I will absolutely be back to see these fabulous doctors with any future pregnancies!

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I’m honestly surprised how many people claim to have had amazing experiences with Dr. Adefris. I came in for an annual exam and my experience was that she rushed through the exam, seemed almost annoyed with me, and had very little empathy or compassion when I mentioned my concerns about PCOS. She basically blamed it on my weight (because skinny people with PCOS don’t exist, I guess) and she even said at one point that I’m “not very tall either,” presumably to emphasize how fat she thought I was because I can’t imagine what else the purpose of a comment like that would’ve been. I’m not denying that weight loss would benefit me, but it could’ve been approached so much more tactfully than it was. All in all I felt very judged and unwelcome there, and I wasn’t terribly impressed with the range of treatment options either. The one saving grace was how kind the nurses and receptionist were. I’m truly happy for everyone who has had a positive experience with these providers, and I’m not saying that they’re bad at what they do, but personally I left upset and feeling awful about myself, and for that reason I will be looking elsewhere for my medical needs.

Dr. George is amazing! She delivered my baby and I could not have been happier with my experience. She listened to me and valued my wants and needs. She gave advice when I asked for it and wasn’t judgmental at all when I expressed I wanted to try something different than the norm, which I truly appreciated. I really hope she is still practicing when I have my second baby!

I’ve been a patient at this practice for approximately eighteen years. I’ve always felt welcomed and have experienced positive interactions with the nurses and doctors. Building relationships is important to the staff. I feel heard and valued when I am at this clinic.

I don’t understand how this clinic have so many good reviews and yet in my experience I found that this clinic is unprofessional, irresponsible and pick & chose who they wanted. Because of the reviews, I decided to chose this clinic for my 3rd pregnancy. When I called, I was told to submit ALL my medical records from all my previous clinics to be transferred to them. ( in my experience, I usually signed a release form for the clinic and the clinic will just get the records. But I guess every clinic is different) After calling around and running around to get the information they needed & faxed in. After a few days, no call back. I followed up and asked to see what going on and was told that they did received the information and will have a nurse to follow up with me to see if I am a good candidate. And I honestly don’t know what they meant by good candidates when I am a healthy woman with two toddlers & on my 1st trimester of my 3rd pregnancy with no issues giving birth or through out the past pregnancy. And yet it’s been TWO WEEKS I still haven’t heard from them. I’m assuming I’m not good enough for them. Morning sickness sucks for me, so I’m a little frustrated about this clinic when I depend on them to reach back out to me. Whatever the reason is, I believe it’s the right things to do is to let the client know the reason why instead of ghosted on me like I don’t exist especially after they have all my medical records & the efforts in put into. Or could it be because I only have state insurance instead of purchased insurance which don’t pay a lot to clinic compared to purchased insurance so therefore they don’t accept me. It’s just my thought. I honestly believe that they could just give me an answer instead of ghosted on me.

This was my first ever appointment with OB-GYN. Dr. George did a great job with my first ever health exam.She is a good doctor! She explained to me in a very clean manner.She understands and listen to your concerns with patience.Good experience as a first timer, staff was good too..Highly Recommend.

3/16/2022 Update:Dr. Adefris and her team were phenomenal throughout my pregnancy and delivery. The front desk team, nurses, ultrasound tech, and the doctors were all super supportive and treated me like a whole person. I never felt rushed and I felt supported as I navigated every situation. Dr. Adefris ended up delivering my baby with an emergency c section - not planned but she handled it so well. I felt like I knew what was going on and that she had the whole situation in hand even though it was very scary. I had the right team to help keep myself and my baby safe and healthy throughout the delivery process.Ill update this review as I continue my journey, but so far, I am extremely satisfied with my care. Dr. Adefris laid a clear, easy to follow plan for my care, which took into account my personal health history, included my partner, and addressed my concerns. Its a relief to find someone that not only took the time to understand my situation but also validated my experience before moving onto next steps and solutions. I think Ive found the right team to help me and I am extremely grateful.

I was with Dr. Engebretson for years and I truly adored her. After she had to unexpectedly leave, I was put with Dr. Crepeau and had a wonderful experience with her. She was kind, thorough and made me feel very comfortable. I am very happy with the care that I have gotten over the years at this clinic and I appreciate how genuine and knowledgeable all the Drs and staff are.

Staff are friendly, professional, and efficient. Dr. Adefris provides first class service while establishing a very warm and personal relationship with her patients. She treats you more like a personal friend than just a patient. I am always pleased with the care I receive. I really appreciate the in office lab, too.

I have had a great experience at Addefris and Toppin. All of the providers, nurses and reception team have been exceptional. I like that they are very organized; I trust their process and expertise. I had a great first experience here, the doctor and nurses I spoke with were super kind and understanding. Also I told them I dealt with dizziness with getting my blood drawn, so they gave me snacks and took good care of me. They also gave me a ton of resources which I needed and spoke a lot in depth about different things to keep in mind and consider. I’d definitely recommend this place, one of the best OBGYNS I’ve ever been to.

I love Dr Crepesu, she is always so cheerful and takes time to explain things in terms I can understand. I never feel like I’m being rushed to get out of the office.

The team at Adefris is very professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I started seeing Dr. George at the beginning of my pregnancy and she was phenomenal. My husband and I frequently looked forward to our appointments with her as she spent as much time as we needed answering all of our questions and even explaining the medical rationale for various pregnancy related treatments and decisions. We were lucky enough to have Dr. George also deliver our baby (though any of the doctors at Adefris would have been wonderful) and she handled what could have been a very dire situation with the utmost care, calmness, and diligence. My husband and I have already discussed expanding our family and I would plan to continue care with Dr. George in the future as we have had such a delightful experience. I came to ATWS after a poor experience at Health partners OBGYN group. Just like a majority of these reviews, I have nothing but words of praise for the doctors and staff at ATWS. I was convinced we were going to need to go to reproductive medicine clinic before being seen at this clinic. We saw Doctor Callahan and Doctor George for all of our prenatal visits and Doctor Crepeau delivered our sweet baby boy. We never felt rushed through appointments, all concerns were addressed and we were actually listened to. I cant wait to continue my OBGYN care through them!

I really loved the care that I received with my first pregnancy, however the care that I received with my second and the subsequent preventative care was more than disappointing. With my second pregnancy, I developed high blood pressure and towards the end, developed terrible headaches. They told me to call if I had any severe headaches and I did and the nurse would essentially say “no, not that kind of headache… we’re talking the worst headache of your life!” or when I would come in for said headaches, they would simply offer me a Vicodin pill, which I refused and were generally very dismissive. I felt crazy. I just wanted someone to tell me what my headaches meant and what symptoms specifically should warrant me to call them since I was obviously misunderstanding them. My blood pressure would go up and they’d have me come in and lay on my side, only to send me home to do the same where I was still having severe headaches. Ultimately, my baby was born healthy and for that I am thankful, but I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that I felt as though I was treated as pill-seeking, which has now caused me to feel a great deal of anxiety when seeking medical care.I returned to Adefris & Toppin yearly for preventative care and was experiencing hair loss, weight fluctuations, and other anomalies which are attributed to issues with hormones. They tested some of my hormones, but failed to test others. After a few years, I found a new GP who ran a more comprehensive panel of tests which led to an MRI, which lead to a brain tumor diagnosis. A brain tumor which likely grew substantially during both of my pregnancies, but ultimately became painful and symptomatic during my second pregnancy due to progesterone receptors in the tumor.I spent so many hours in pain during my last pregnancy, and was extremely anxious. I had a history of feeling depressed and anxious after giving birth and I didn’t feel seen or heard when I talked about it with my Adefris & Toppin provider. I went to Adefris & Toppin because initially, I didn’t feel like a number, but a patient. By the end of my second pregnancy and subsequent preventative care, I felt crazy and I felt like a nuisance.

From start to finish, a welcoming and professional environment! The MAs and Dr. Toppin make every effort to personalize the visit, and I leave with all questions and concerns addressed. The check in process was also seamless with online checking. Thank you for keeping the art in medicine!!!

Dr. George has been very attentive throughout my pregnancy. She has explained everything to me in a way I can understand. She is always attentive and has great bedside manner. She has great medical knowledge and is personable.I recently also saw Dr. Crepeau and she answered my questions thoroughly and knowledgeably. I love Dr. Adefris! I’m grateful I found her and feel completely confident in the care she provides. I started going to her when I found out was expecting for the 2nd time. I lost my first pregnancy at 11 weeks so it was crucial I found a doctor who really showed care for their patients and was reliable. She delivered our son in October 2019 and our daughter in august 2021 and I hope she is able to deliver any other children we have in the future as well!

All the clinicians are female and have never failed to make me feel comfortable and addressed my concerns. The clinicians have successfully delivered all 3 of my babies. From scheduling appointments, being greeted at the door, working with the nurses & doctors; I always feel I am receiving the best care. Dr. Crepeau is the best! She is so personable and knowledgeable and I love how she doesnt try to use doctor talk thats over my head. She is really great at explaining things so that the average (non-medical professional) can understand. She also keeps up with the recent research in the field which is hugely important for me when it comes to choosing a provider.

I only have wonderful things to say about this clinic! From speaking with the scheduler to the entire staff at the office during my first prenatal appointment, I have only had a wonderful experience throughout! I am so excited to continue my first pregnancy journey with them. They make you feel so welcome and loved!

All the doctors and nurses here are so lovely and kind. Doctor Adefris is a wonderful, knowledgeable doctor, and she has a lovely sense of humor and is very easy to talk to. Its comforting to know I have the best care team possible.

Dr. George was phenomenal. This was the best experience I have ever had at a doctors office, the nurses were sweet. Dr. George made sure to answer all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with asking more if needed. I was referred to this office by my older sister that is currently pregnant and have heard nothing but good things from her and I will be sure to refer the rest of my family and friends!

The doctors do not listen, I was not heard three times between two doctors. One of them ended up apologing for not listening (Dr. Crepeau), she seemed genuine during the apology but the damage was done. The other doctor dismissed me instead of listening to the patient. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I avoided going to the gyno for way too long after some truly horrific experiences at multiple other places. I really wish Id found this clinic sooner, because its amazing. They treat you like a human being, take the time to make sure you understand everything and really look into your concerns. Theyre careful and considerate during procedures and always stop if I ask, which is NOT something I experienced at other places! Ive been dealing with an undiagnosed issue for decades, and the docs here were able to diagnose it within the first visit because they actually listened to me.

Dr Toppin has been my doctor for 15 years. Her expertise and knowledge in her field is top notch. Choosing a gynecologist is a very personal decision and she has always made me feel comfortable and well cared for. Her patients matter and she takes the time to make you feel that way. On a personal note, she discovered a condition in me that could adversely affect a pregnancy that another gynecologist wouldn’t initially think to test for. She’s a rare gem in the field.

I have been seeing Dr Adefris for over 10 years. She is always so friendly and makes my annual visits pleasant. She is patient and answers all my questions. I would recommend her for sure. The new offices are also amazing! Very clean and nice.

Dr. Engebretson is a highly skilled physician and surgeon. She is very knowledgeable in her field of expertise as well as all other related disciplines. She reviews your entire medical history at each visit and is able to see her patients as a whole. She is kind and compassionate. She offers available options and collaborates with other health care providers whenever needed. She has skillfully managed my complex medical problems for years. I highly recommend her and her team.

Dr. Crepeau is one of my absolute favorite medical human beings! No one likes going to the doc, but she makes you feel like you are a person and really talks to you. Not just in, be seen, and leave. Glad I found her, even though I am past my child bearing years, I fell very comfortable with her!

I really wanted to give them a try, especially since this clinic was founded by two women of color. As I read more about their Doctors, I was very content with everyone and thought for sure I had found the right clinic for me.I contacted them in early November to schedule an initial visit after several positive home pregnancy tests. I already applied for MA in October and was qualified, just pending an actual approval so I could get my Medicaid ID #. The receptionist said I would have to pay out of pocket for that appointment which would cost about $2,000+, so she recommended that I wait to schedule. I understood, I mean... money talks, right?In the meantime, I went over to Woodbury Options for Women to get a pregnancy confirmation along with a dating ultrasound. I wasnt able to be seen at Adefris yet, but I just wanted to make sure my baby was doing OK. This is a free clinic, so they dont ask for insurance or anything--everything was done entirely for free. I was only seen there twice; once for the urine test, and the second time for a dating ultrasound.In late November, I was finally approved for MA and they backdated it to 10/1/2020 as I suspected, since I applied in October. I immediately contacted Adefris to schedule an appointment, but I was told they would not be able to schedule an appointment for me yet until my records from Woodbury Options for Women were received and reviewed by one of the Doctors first. I called Options for Women right after I spoke to Adefris and requested that they send my records over immediately. It has been over a week and it has not been processed yet. Fair enough, I cant blame Adefris for the processing time of another clinic. (I did my due diligence and followed up with Options for Women a couple of days ago as well. They are pending a Doctors write off to give permission to send my records.)Upon following up with Adefris today via their online chat and expressing my frustration with the process, they explained that it is their clinic policy that they cannot see a new patient without first reviewing their previous records partly due to possible billing issues. They would need to make sure that they dont duplicate anything that has already been performed. I reiterated that the clinic I went to was free of charge and no insurance information was needed. It really started to sound like they were afraid to see me because of non-payment issues, even though I had assured them over and over that I went to a free clinic and none of my insurance information was shared there. I didnt even have insurance at those appointments yet!Adefris went on to explain that legally, the other clinic likely has 30 days to get my records over to them. Again, understandable, but I really felt like my right to receive health care was denied several times. Its really upsetting to me that they would continue to deny a pregnant woman of receiving prenatal care.I really wanted to give Adefris a try and I had my mind set on them ever since I discovered I was pregnant (6 weeks)...but Ive been given the run around since the beginning and Ive been denied appointment after appointment. I was patient and waited several weeks to try and work out these kinks since I was so early anyway...But after many attempts and rejections, I have decided I will go elsewhere. I am now 12 weeks pregnant and can no longer wait for them to give my baby and I the care that we require. Im just grateful that I experienced this prior to coming to your clinic and putting my trust in your establishment.

First visit to this clinic. Had an appointment with Dr. Nelson. Denise at check in was very welcoming and warm! The nurses were all very sweet and caring. Dr. Nelson is amazing, her warm and cheerful personality is exactly what you need during these long 9 months!

Wanda is a special soul and every time we connect it makes me feel better in my life. She answers my health questions and provides a loving support to my life situations. She would have been an excellent therapist too (0: I cannot recommend her more highly.

The first doctor I saw here was excellent, but unfortunately most of my care here was through another doctor at the practice while the first doctor was on maternity leave.I was given no anxiety or pain meds for a very painful procedure (was told itd be minimally painful) and almost passed out from pain on the table. Was also prescribed a low calorie (essentially anorexia) diet any nutritionist or sane doctor would have had extreme health concerns over. She also tried to push me towards an expensive, unnecessary surgery.

Dr. Toppin has been my gynecologist for 16 years. From day one she has provided excellent care in every respect. I wish that every woman were lucky enough to have a physician like Dr. Toppin, who is on the top of her game, who listens, and who is genuinely interested in what is best for her patients..I would give her six stars if I could.

I would have given a better review because the doctors were fantastic. Throughout my pregnancy and during my delivery the doctors were very caring. I felt safe having them deliver my daughter. When all that was over, i had a balance. I set up a payment plan, and paid on time each month. Three months later I called to make an appointment to get birth control. I was not able to be seen by a doctor until I paid my balance. That I felt was ridiculous. I had been paying on time each month. The lady I spoke with was so rude. I believe her name was Jennifer. I ended up paying off the balance and never called to make that appointment. I found another doctor. I will never ever go back to this clinic because of the lady in financial.

I have been seeing Dr. Crepeau for more than 10 years and I cannot say enough great things about her. More than an excellent doctor, I consider her a trusting friend. I laugh, I’ve cried and share so many experiences in our conversations.

Dr. Crepeau is wonderful! She is caring and knowledgeable and I feel very glad that she is the doctor that I chose for my first baby!! She answered any questions that I had and made me feel very comfortable in my first appointment.

Every appointment with Dr. Toppin is a learning experience for me. She cares deeply about my health concerns and will always share information on her new discoveries. Shes in the process of writing her second book! I wouldnt be a Mom if I hadnt found her! Im so lucky!

I have been seeing Adefris since I was 17 and I am now 35 years old. I trust her medical expertise and the staff there is amazing. Both Adefris and Toppin are amazing doctors who care about your health and well being. Its nice to have specialists who care and have the knowledge for your health.

I had an appointment today for an ultrasound and a nurse visit for my pregnancy, I unfortunately had my kids with me (2&1 and in a stroller) because I couldn’t find a sitter. While I was checking in the other receptionist very rudely told the lady helping me that “kids are not even allowed at appointments and they’re not going to let her do the ultrasound with that stroller” while shaking and rolling her head, with a disgusting attitude as if I’m not standing right there in front of them. This is a womens clinic, to be so insensitive to a woman’s situations is absolutely disgusting. I was so excited for my appointment and drove 45 mins to come to this clinic. To be treated so rudely was absolutely not ok. I’ve brought a stroller to an ultrasound before and had no problems. I did not expect this type of service at this clinic and I absolutely will not be back. Shame on them.

Words can’t describe how upset and disappointed my wife and I are with this facility. We had four children through this clinic and without telling us they dropped our insurance company before the birth of our fourth child and are now forcing us to pay all expenses out of pocket. We have spent hours on the phone with them, sitting on hold, getting disconnected, not having calls returned and the clinic has not helpful at all. Our insurance company has even told us there is a solution if the clinic will work with them but they refuse to do so. I have yet to have anyone at the clinic tell me how we were supposed to know our coverage had been suddenly dropped. Every time we went in we presented our insurance card and they never said one word to us about it. I just can’t understand how a company can do this people and then respond with there is nothing we can do.

If I could give 0 stars I would the care i received there was terrible. I was a high risk pregnancy and told the Doctors about my blood pressure and other symptoms and they completely ignored them. I ended up having my daughter at 22 weeks 3 days and she passed away. The Dr that delivered her had no compassion what so ever she kept telling me my daughter was going to die through out my whole delivery as if I did not hear her the first 5 times.
