I called and the receptionist that answered didn’t have any clue how to help. She sent me back to planned parenthood which is fine because at least they know what they are doing unlike the receptionist at this clinic.

The ultrasound tech or nurse was extremely rude, the way the interaction went left me feeling like this wasn’t the right place and I didn’t trust her with my medical needs. I even started doubting their sanitation protocols. The lack of medicinal knowledge was astounding too and I’m in the science field. Also discussing patient info in front of others is such a hippa violation. Eventually I decided to go with my gut and went to planned parenthood metro. Everyone there was so much more empathetic and willing to explain stuff I’d questions on. I felt more safe and like I was in good hands with medical professionals who were both professional and knowledgeable in the field. Go to planned parenthood instead.

The nurses here made a very uncomfortable and hard situation a lot easier. I originally went to planned parenthood but just didn’t feel the best about it. I contacted this clinic and was able to get in the next day. They didn’t question me like planned parent hood does and I didn’t feel at all judged. They were very nice and provided me all the information I needed and made sure to get me in when I needed too. Again a good experience for a not so great situation. I would definitely recommend going here if you are considering receiving an abortion.

Grateful for this clinic but…I got pregnant with a copper iud and my OB was able to remove it due to incorrect placement but due to Utah laws was not able to perform a termination. I had two choices, here and planned parenthood. I was really happy that this clinic could get me in so soon. My consult with the nurse was so good, she was so calm and supportive and really made me feel at ease. I honestly felt 100% emotionally and physically ready and accepting of my decision since I had taken preventative measures, and am sure that I don’t want biological children— especially not at this time. I chose surgical which was a 10-15 minute procedure. I was excited for my procedure, because I had been so sick during the early pregnancy, I was miserable. There was a second nurse who did my ultrasound, shots and the rest of the process and she was really cool at first however I was really disappointed with the procedure itself. It felt rushed. I have never had a speculum inserted so quickly (and I have had bad male OB’s in the past), I was given 4 shots for local anesthesia and I could feel my body tensing. I have a good pain tolerance however I flinched twice and all I needed was 10 seconds to relax and lay my bum flat against the table. When I voiced that I needed a second I feel like I got disregarded, I was told that I needed to stay still or I could get hurt. I cried during this part, not from pain, but from discomfort because I felt violated with how quick things were being done and that my comfort wasn’t being taken into consideration. And this is coming from someone who was 100% happy with my choice. I can’t imagine how traumatizing this would’ve been for someone who was unsure of their choice, or someone having a more difficult time.Luckily my boyfriend was there and I was able to hold his hand for the remainder of the procedure and he helped soothe me. They had snacks and a heating pad after which was awesome. They gave a Xanax prior to the procedure which I HIGHLY recommend. I could not have done it without that. Luckily, even though I was annoyed, I was able to go home and sleep for the rest of the night.I’m still grateful for this clinic and the work they do, but I did leave wondering if the doctor hated women or if this was just protocol. Giving 3 stars because over all it was a good experience and got the job done, I just want people to be aware of how quick the procedure is and hopefully you can speak up or ask questions or have whoever is with you speak up if needed.Again, unsure if this is typical protocol but there was 4 other girls in and out at the time of my visit so my thinking is that it’s just a way for them to make quick money.I will update this once I visit my OB and make sure everything is okay, cleared out and there were no injuries sustained.

******I’m updating my review to say a few things. I was given a surgical procedure here a month ago. I just got out of the hospital, and had to do a repeat D&E because I had an incomplete abortion, which left me with a bad infection, and retained product I could not pass on my own, and I’m on antibiotics and still not even out of the woods yet. So, take that as you will, as the hospital staff said it shouldn’t have happened to begin with. If you’re ever feeling off about it, get it checked. I was going to ignore it until I physically wasn’t able to anymore and almost collapsed from the infection. Stay safe everyone.*****I can’t thank this clinic, and the amazing women there enough for helping me out!I had originally gone to Planned Parenthood and the women over there have zero compassion, zero communication skills, and left me with more questions than answers, and refused to see me because I unfortunately didn’t have proper ID. They also all sat there in the same room as me and started talking about me like I didn’t exist, and I left feeling defeated.I ended up being luckily enough to get over here to Wasatch and was immediately brought in to do my informed consent, and was able to get the whole ID situation and stuff handled that same day, as well as get an appointment for that following weekend. They answered all of my questions, and they were so incredibly kind. I wish I remember the woman’s name I dealt with both times, cause she made such a huge difference for me!The procedure itself was done with compassion, and it was done thoroughly and handled quickly! They talked to you the whole time to explain everything, and to help make you feel more comfortable, and the other woman also just went over paperwork with me and explained everything really well!Their prices are incredibly fair and reasonable, and fixed rates, as opposed to the constant changing pricing and sliding fee scale over at PP. Their informed consent here is also free, and PP charges $20. So, I can’t recommend this place enough for their kind staff, and the way they’re willing to help you out in any way that they can, and offer compassion. If you need this specific procedure done, please come here! They’ll go over anything you want to discuss or talk about and help you out the best they can!

The staff is super nice and patient. They were able to see me the same day when I called. I had my abortion appointment scheduled just 6 days later (including weekends). I called Planned Parenthood and they couldnt get me in for 10 days. Im so greatful for this place. Its so sad that I had to give up my baby due to a genetics defect, but its nice that I could get it over with as soon as I found out. The procedure went very quickly and smoothly only 15 minutes with the doctor max.

I am writing this under a pseudonym. I received treatment from the lovely ladies at Wasatch Womens center. They were caring, informative, and held space in a compassionate manner without judgement. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone who is thinking or debating going through with not being pregnant any more. The reviews listed below are blatantly false as there are no males working at this safe place for women. So much gratitude for the womens center. Thank you again for making an emotional decision easier.

The women here are incredibly friendly and understanding. They answered every question I had, and walked me through a new plan of action when my old one had failed. They were thorough in their explanations, prompt with setting follow up appointments, and never once did I feel judgement or shame. Planned Parenthood couldn’t help me for over 2 weeks, and Wasatch Women’s Center saw me immediately. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The woman doing my procedure was over an hour late. Then two weeks later I was having intense stomach pains and went in for an ultrasound to make sure I was okay and that I didn’t have an infection. When I got there, they asked me several different times if I had taken another pregnancy test and if it was negative. I told them at least three times that yes it was negative. Then when she started the ultrasound she immediately started laughing and told me I’m fine and that I’m just constipated. To laugh at someone after a sensitive procedure like that AND after someone continually wakes up in the middle of the night in pain is incredibly insensitive. I wholeheartedly regret coming here. I am humiliated and hurtEdit: my pain started on a Saturday and I went back that following Monday. Yesterday, which was a Thursday, I went to a REAL doctor because my pain just wouldn’t stop and found out I have an INFECTION! So thank you for laughing at me when I WAS SERIOUSLY SUFFERING!!!!!

The women there were extremely kind and supportive. They were down to earth while being professional and informative, making sure all my questions were answered and i felt prepared. They walked me through every step and treated me like family. Its a very scary and difficult thing for a woman, but i can assure you that the compassionate, comforting way the staff takes care of patients will give you at least a feeling of relief and safety which goes a long way. NOW, to all the self righteous fanatics who intentionally post FALSE reviews in order to scare women away from their rights:NOWHERE in the bible does it condone the use of slander and deception to stick it to your enemies, or sway the decisions of others by outright lying! SO maybe you should ask yourself which main character in your holy books you ACTUALLY resemble when you do so. I can think of one.

I had an abortion here and an IUD placed in 2013. The Dr. was a male at the time. The place was clean, the counselor and staff were very supportive. I had to go completely alone as my decision was not supported by family and the man to get me pregnant backed out on me. They were kind, transparent and I could not have lived with myself without them. They were a huge support for me during this difficult time. I cannot thank them enough for letting me make the decision for myself and doing the difficult job that they do.

Sadly at the age of 15 I had to make a decision which landed me at this clinic. Worst place ever to go if in need of an abortion. I’m not a writer so bare with me. When I went in for my procedure the doctor gave me no type of pain medication and told me if I made a sound he would stop in the middle of the procedure. 15 and scared I held my breath and tried not to make a sound. After all was done I was told to come back and be checked this is when the doctor inserted his whole hand into my vagina to check to make sure all was right. I still haven’t recovered from this traumatic experience and after reading another review on here similar to mine I thought I would and should share. Women should always have the right to a safe medical abortion and this clinic DOES NOT OFFER THAT. Please there are other clinics in salt lake that offer amazing support and services. I hope this review helps a young women in making a better decision then I did.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Going here was the worst experience I think Ive ever had. The doctor did NOT use any kind of anesthetic, and then got angry when I asked if I could have about 20 seconds to catch my breath from the pain, scoffed at me, and continued anyway.Thats besides the fact that the lighting made it feel dingy, and the rubber hoses they had were yellowed and cracked. It felt unsanitary, and very back-alley.I beg you with tears in my eyes....GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE, PLEASE!!!

Terrible. Do not recommend. Doctor was racist/classist. (Told me she hates Arabs and I ought to get a job at McDonalds, and I have a doctorate degree). Was not given medications as promised in Utah informed consent training. No antibiotics, painkillers, or sedation. (If she is, in fact, a doctor why couldnt she provide basic medicine in line with standard procedure?) Predictably, got a pelvic infection after and needlessly suffered more in an already crappy situation. It may be cheaper than PParenthpod, but is NOT worth it. There will likely be hidden costs, i.e. Complications! . Id never let those ppl touch me again. Update: almost 2 months since abortion and Im still not ok. They mutilated my cervix.. Been tô ER 5x since. I know its 1 of 2 places that operates in Utah but what happened was WRONG on so many levels. I returned to NY after, and doctors have been HORRIFIED with what has happened to me. I was treated like an animal. If you are a woman who was treated there and experiencing extreme pain after: Dont listen to them. Its not just cramps that will pass. It could be a life threatening complication and go to ER immediately. I agree with other women whove posted: NOT OK. I hope the practitioners at this clinic READ this and rethink their practices and how they speak to and treat their cash paying customers. This is Utah. We women and girls already have it hard enough. Please treat us, especially in vulnerable situations, with respect!

All bad here!!!! They have no idea what they are doing...They have no idea how to even begin to be helpful to girls/women in the correct way!!!! They need to be shut down!!! Abortions of any form need a protocol of at least 4 weeks of nursing and counseling for their patients!!!! They are unprofessional when dealing with a crisis matter that is to blame on them and happends all to often!!! Horrible Place

So I went to this place today, I went with my girlfriend, I’ve read the reviews before this and I was nervous because these review they had for this place were horrible, now Everyone that’s reading this has to understand if you go to this place it’s going to be bad because of the situation but the nurses were amazing, I was shocked how nice and sweet they were they probably see so many people per day and they made my girlfriend feel like she was the first patient they ever had, the doctor was fast and professional, (btw the doctor looked like a model),people who said bad reviews need to check and see if they were writing the review for the right clinic, anyone who goes here don’t be scared about the place or the professional staff, it’s a scary situation to be in but this place made my girlfriend feel more comfortable even me her boyfriend, I would recommend this place if anyone was ever in the same situation my girlfriend was.
