Dr. Doherty was very thorough and kind. My husband and I have only had one visit with him so far, but we already feel at ease with our choice of provider. Fertility treatments can be daunting and overwhelming, but Dr. Doherty and the team at RMA Somerset are obviously working to ensure our experience will go as smoothly as possible. Thank you so far!

Dr. Doherty and staff were great! My nurse Jennifer and financial counselor Jennifer were amazing! They Very helpful and on top of things! I felt very secure and well taken care of. During my initial consultation Dr. Doherty was so personable / down to earth and clinically appropriate. One of the best experiences. At my discharge Dr. Doherty’s phone call was so thoughtful and very appreciated because he didn’t have to. During all my follow up appointments with other doctors, nurses and phlebotomists were great! Everyone is was so professional, nice and gave great clinical care. I would definitely recommend this practice.

There are no words in the dictionary to describe Dr. Doherty. I am so beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to be his patient. After many poor quality embryos and failed transfers from previous clinics, Dr. Doherty read my extensive chart history and knew exactly the perfect protocol to get me healthy embryos. Everything was throughly explained along with the reasoning. Dr. Doherty was reassuring to me and super patient with me. I received the best care at RMA from start to finish. I am so sad to be leaving, but I’m super excited for my next chapter in my life. Thank you will never be enough for giving me my baby in June 2023. You are one in a million!!! 👶🏼👨‍👩‍👦💛🍍

We had a great experience with Dr. Doherty. From his excellent diagnosis, treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know where you stand immediately and what next steps look like. He combines expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss. He understood our concerns and provided the right treatment options that would work for our case. The entire team at RMA was really great and we had a wonderful and positive experience

Dr. Doherty is a wonderful fertility specialist, who cares about his patients. He is kind, friendly, and makes sure to properly inform you about expected outcomes and care. I have no qualms about referring him to my family and friends.

We felt very lucky to have Dr. Doherty as our Reproductive Endocrinologist. He and the entire team at RMA provided high quality, evidence-based care. The doctors and staff were sensitive and compassionate during a very challenging time. Everything at RMA runs like a well-oiled machine. It was honestly very impressive.Dr. Doherty always called me in a timely fashion to discuss unexpected results, procedures he was performing, and addressed my questions about our treatment plan. Even though it’s a very large practice, I felt like he was always up to date on my case and provided the best guidance and advice possible. He really made us feel hopeful and optimistic that we would have a great outcome. We were very lucky to have a very successful egg retrieval and got pregnant with our first IVF frozen transfer cycle. I would strongly recommend RMA and Dr. Doherty.

Incredible bed side manner - understands the emotional fragility of fertility and uses incredible skill combined with therapeutic conversation to help you on your journey. Was at a different practice before seeing Dr. Doherty. Unfortunately they seemed to be more of a surgery shop and did not have the delicate communication skills that Dr. Doherty and his team have. It’s no coincidence in my mind that after 1.5 years of no luck at the previous practice (which only added to my stress) - I became pregnant very soon after meeting Dr. Doherty (with his medical assistance). Happy to report that RMANJ and Dr. Doherty have allowed me to bring 2 beautiful healthy children into this world! I owe them everything…. Best of luck on your journey!!

Excellent Doctor. From the first meeting I felt only genuine vibes from him. Although I spent most of the time talking with my nurse, I liked how Doherty called me personally as well. Just an overall nice and caring doctor.

Dr. Doherty is a great doctor who immediately made us feel comfortable about the treatment plan and our options. He was always available to answer questions and concerns we had. He went above and beyond in providing care given our medical history and talked through it with us every step of the way. Would highly recommend him and RMA team.

Let me start by saying, I love and miss RMA. They are organized and their staff is so friendly! Dr. Doherty was awesome! He explained everything so well and was very caring! My nurse, Jessica, was also great and always responded to my million emails in a timely manner. The girls at the front desk were always so nice and the phlebotomists made getting bloodwork every few days, painless and bearable. At 30 weeks into my pregnancy, I just want to say Thank you! My dream is coming true! I am so glad I chose to go through my IVF journey with RMA !

Had a great experience with Dr. Doherty and the RMA team. My son was born 3 weeks ago and was happy and healthy, and I found Dr. Doherty to be great to work with and very proactive when dealing with the resolution of an ectopic pregnancy that resulted from my first IUI attempt. Very big thanks to him and RMA for our new bundle of joy!

I came here to write this review because I was unable to leave my review on another review site. Dr. D is 100% one of my favorite doctors I have been treated by in general. My fiancé and I had an awesome experience at RMA, the entire staff was incredible and always so caring including my nurse, Erin. Once we started treatment with Dr D both my fiancé and I agreed that we made the right choice, as we had come from a different clinic in the area that was not a good fit for us. Dr D has the most genuine and realistic outlook and bedside manner out of any doctor I have met. He personally reached out to me with any important news and was so comforting throughout the process. RMA is a big facility but not once did we feel like just a number. We both really appreciated his gentle but straightforward approach to our treatment plan. The entire time we felt in good hands and had the best experience we could although infertility itself can be a tough journey regardless. In the end, we are expecting our miracle little girl this August thanks to Dr D, nurse Erin, embryology, and the entire RMA team. I have already recommended Dr D to a few other couples we know that are about to start their own fertility journey. I am so happy I followed a friend’s recommendation and went with Dr D at RMA.

I had Dr. Doherty during my journey and would recommend him to anyone looking for infertility treatment. Very caring, doesn’t rush you and his team was wonderful when it came to responding to questions and concerns through the message portal.

Dr. Doherty and the entire RMA staff are caring, warm, and friendly. With what is an intimidating and anxious situation, they make you feel calm and at ease. Everyone is on top of what needs to be done- they tell you what you need to know or do, and where you need to be and when. Ive had my two babies through them and I couldnt recommend them enough.

Doherty is the worse mistake of my life, hes so negative and lacks compassion. Hes extremely rude and talks down on his patients when you ask intelligent questions. I dont recommend

Working with Dr. Doherty and Cathy has been nothing but a blessing. When I had lost faith in the process of conceiving via IVF, I found RMA and was matching with such a phenomenal doctor and nurse. From my initial consult, to drafting my protocol, retrieving my follicles, fertilizing embryos then testing, to prepping for transfer, Dr. Doherty and Cathy were there with me every step of the way. Never selling me a dream, but explaining every detail to me and being so patient and kind. I must say I have had two transfers thus far, which have been nothing but superb! Thank you Dr. Doherty and Cathy for helping me conceive not one, but two babies. I am sure there are plenty of patients like myself that can say nothing but wonderful things about this dynamic duo!
