Dr. Shamma and his team made the transition from one clinic to another seamless. The team provided all documentation and steps of care in the early appointments. The nurses are reachable by phone and email to answer all your questions. All billing information was provided up front. We have 1 beautiful IVF baby and another on the way! Since joining the IVF community we have learned so much and continue to advocate for others by sharing our story and pushing for IVF insurance coverage with employers.

Every story is different and IVF is a very emotional process. Dr. Shamma and his team helped us greatly. The Ann Arbor team was so kind. The Sylvania office is okay, they get really busy. Alex at the Sylvania office is great to communicate with at the office!Once you get past the delivery for all the medicine and the choas of ensuring everything is correct. It gets better.You are the only person who knows your concerns or questions so speak up! And ask those questions, even if they seem weird

If I can give this place a 0 star I would. DO NOT GO HERE if you want to be treated with respect and kindness and with care. My current doctors referred me to them and I was in a crisis situation what happens they send me an email and didn’t give me the courtesy of a phone call. I called and then a nurse or whoever was called and said she would follow up with the Dr. herself. 2 weeks later never got a follow up call. I call back and the dirty trashy receptionist or nurse (because the nurses are trash too) was very rude crying about my insurance card when she could easily ask me the information and put in the system easily like why even have front desk staff if you don’t even do front desk staff work. You guys are trash and I hope no one who wants true care doesn’t go to your establishment.Plus the rooms there are small and they have like 4 nurses plus doc trying to do your examination. I don’t need that many people in one room you weirdos. This isn’t a human experiment

My husband and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Shamma and all his office staff. They helped us understand what our issues were, the procedures we needed to do and the medications. The nurses helped explain everything in great detail and helped with getting the medications. I cannot thank the nurses enough. We were with the office for 3 cycles and one was during the beginning of Covid, with so many unknowns. Unfortunately, we did lose the 3 cycles. However, the nurses were there every step of the way making one of the hardest days a little easier to handle. We did have a successful pregnancy with a gestational carrier. Our beautiful baby girl will be two in April. We love Dr Shamma and his staff. We would not be where we are today without them 💜

IVF MICHIGAN destroyed my life my marriage. My biggest dream to be a mom ended when I went to IVF MICHIGAN. Let’s start talk about the nurses. What a unqualified staff. They really don’t know what they are doing. They do know how to shame you. They will treat you bad, shame you in all way possible and really make you fell like you are the worst person in the room. Also they DO NOT FOLLOW THE PROTOCOL! Any protocol!!The doctors: they really don’t care about you. They don’t care about what the literature says. They only care about the money. I lost my last embryos there because they did not care.If you are looking for an IVF clinic go to the government website that keep track of their “success” - YES THERE IS A SITE for that! IVF Michigan is the lowest, YES I SAID THE LOWEST SUCCESS RATE in our area.Go to Cleveland clinic if you are looking for someone that will respect you and care about you. Go to Fort Wayne if you are looking for great success rate. Go to Columbus if you are looking for doctors that will do all for you.How I know these places? I have friends in the same journey that are being so successful and happy in those places. And also cheaper.IVF MICHIGAN is not working for their patients it is only working for their pockets.

Incredibly horrible experience. I was basically left to fend for myself with learning to give myself the shots, following up, getting my meds delivered and on time (and one they told me Id need that cost near $200 only to tell me when it wouldnt arrive in time that I didnt actually need it?), misled about the price and now months later after entering into a payment plan in November, I get an invoice for the amount of the payment plan and see they havent been processing my payments. I contacted them and they say they have a new billing system and NOW it will start next month? I feel like they pushed this on me, especially since when I told Dr. Shamma I didnt want to do IVF because it would push back my chemo start date, his response was Hope you dont regret it. Now Im out all of this money while going through chemo and have the added worry of them processing the payments they should have started processing months ago so I didnt go through all of it just to wind up without any fertility preservation because of their mistake. I know theyre the only IVF clinic in town, but for your peace of mind - travel further.

My wife went to this clinic and the female doctor I do not know her name I believe she was of Asian dissent but was very rude to my wife had no beside manner my wife has been busting her butt working out 5 days a week at the gym and basically was fat shaming my wife. We will never go back here. If you are looking for good fertility treatment go to rma in Troy Michigan yes it’s a bit of a drive but they are kind compassionate and caring and more affordable then this place with way better reviews . We have been trying to have children and I am 100 percent permeant and total disabled veteran and I don’t not belive in writing negative reviews and if you look at my reviews most of them are positive but when my wife is upset it makes me upset. Your doctor should be ashamed of her self the way she treated my wife and didn’t really give her the time of day. Do better for people who are struggling to conceive children at your office. Remember the golden rule treat others how you want to be treated

Words cannot express how grateful my husband and I are for the care IVF Ohio provided to me during my journey with infertility and IVF.The receptionists always greeted me with such a warm welcome, which can truly set the tone of a visit. I always appreciated their cheerful attitudes to brighten my visit.The nurses always took time to explain things and were very responsive to my needs even after hours when they were on call. These nurses will take on your emotional distress to help provide comfort and ease as much as possible during your visit, which did not go unnoticed.I will always recommend Dr. Shamma and IVF Ohio to anyone who is seeking fertility medical advice or fertility treatments. He listened to my concerns when I wanted to find the cause of my infertility and advised me on my treatment options, educating me along the way. His education helped me understand more clearly why past treatments didn’t work and the best treatment and care for us to get to our end goal of growing our family. Dr. Shamma provided clarity that I needed. After spending over a year of hearing round-about answers from other professionals, I felt a sigh of relief knowing that someone was empathetic enough to listen and address my concerns with facts and explanation. Dr. Shamma was able to diagnose me within my first consultation and provide answers to why prior treatments wouldn’t work; just from reviewing my records. Answers that I had been longing for. I am so grateful that Dr. Shamma never dismissed a question or feeling and provided great compassion along my journey.Additionally, a big thank you to Dr. Hammoud who stepped in to do my egg retrieval when I needed to be brought in earlier than expected. This was my first surgery and it can be tough for most people meeting their doctor the day of surgery and having a change in plans. He ensured that I felt comfortable knowing he was fully informed of my case from Dr. Shamma and taking the time to introduce himself and calm my nerves before surgery. 35 eggs was more than I could have ever dreamed and we are over the moon with how many embryos those turned into!Sending lots of big hugs to IVF Ohio & Michigan for all that you do to help make dreams come true for families going through infertility.The Rumpf Family

The receptionists or nursing staff, whoever answers the phones are extremely rude and unhelpful. They have absolutely no compassion or empathy towards potential new patients.

Read all the 1 stars! After an appointment my wife had with Dr. Shamma and how HORRIBLE he is I decided to come take a look. Come to find out he is known for this! Even worse there is other doctors here that are just the same! Do yourself a favor find a new better doctor who cares and isnt fatphoic. I assumed he was milking it for money but i 100% believe this now after seeing how he PUSHES IVF as an only option. We will be getting another doctor. Dr Shamma doesn’t deserve to be a doctor.

I will not be calling to discuss these concerns because it is clear nothing has changed over the years, with other patients writing similar negative reviews. It says all you need to know that bad reviews are deleted.

I had a successful IVF procedure in 2020. However, my experience with the staff and especially the nurses was terrible. I was shamed by a nurse for suggesting that I should not have to sacrifice every other aspect of my life including exercise in order to be a mother. I was told that if I had a miscarriage after carrying a laundry basket up stairs, i would blame myself as though that were reasonable. Blood draws were painful and difficult. I was prescribed medication I am allergic to and there was no apology. This was because there is no individualized care. They follow the same procedure for everyone and never look at the chart. They dont seem to care or have any empathy. I dreaded every appointment.

I wish that a review could do Dr. Shamma, all his amazing nurses-you know who you are!;), reception staff at the Toledo office, & the staff at Bloomfield Hills justice. Over the past four years, we’ve had 4 embryo transfers, multiple surgeries, multiple labs & ultrasounds, and every time you walk in you feel like family. They’ve been so instrumental in our journey to parenthood and have been there for every complication, disappointment, & likewise -every single victory in between. I will never be able to express the gratitude our family holds in our heart for IVF Michigan. They’re a part of our story and ,as silly as it may sound, infertility has blessed me in so many unexpected ways and many of those being the wonderful people you meet at the clinic! There are just no words to describe how wonderful Dr. Shamma and his entire staff are! From our initial diagnosis of infertility through the first trimester with our twins, the entire group has been there for us every step of the way. Dr. Shamma truly cares about his patients and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and understand everything that is going on. The nurses are incredible and I wish I could keep everyone one of them with me. The front staff is so kind and always willing to answer any questions! Our experience has been the best it could be for the situation we were dealing with, and that is all thanks to this amazing staff!

I would like to thank Dr Shamma and his wonderful staff at Toledo Fertilty! Going through infertility is never an easy thing, but with this amazing staff it was made a little easier. We never felt pressured to do IVF, Dr Shamma gave us all the information we needed to help us make a decision on what would be beat for our situation. My husband and I recommend Dr Shamma to any of our friends that are suffering from infertility. Because of them we were able to welcome our beautiful baby boy into the world 2 weeks ago. When it comes time for baby #2 we will definitely be back if we need help again!

After years of infertility my husband and I finally decided to go see Dr. Shamma. From the start both Shamma and his office staff were amazing, walking us through each step and making sure we understood everything before we left as IVF can be overwhelming! It was a bit bittersweet when we got discharged after my 12 week appointment as we had gotten so comfortable with them! We now have a 3 month, beautiful baby girl thanks to Shamma, and will head back to them when ready to try baby #2!

I will always hold a special place in my heart for Dr. Shamma and the nursing staff. They gave my husband and I the greatest gift and supported us during a very difficult season of life. Infertility can feel very lonely but they made us feel at home and I consider them all great friends now. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone -and I do, quite often :)

*UPDATE* 10/27/21****OK, so Dr. Shamma is great. My problem is with the staff, more specifically the nurses. There is a MAJOR lack of communication. No one contacts me, I feel like Im being ignored and disrespected. Recently, Ive experienced insensitivity, rudeness and attitude from the nurses. Its gotten to the point where Im considering asking to be transferred to the Michigan office. Id rather drive an hour than to be treated in a rude, insensitive disrespectful manner. Its effecting to the point where Im becoming depressed and anxious. Every patient deserves care, good communication and respect. Its disheartening to feel like they dont care****Im kind of surprised about how many negative reviews Ive read about Dr. Shamma. I havent really had a negative experience directly related to him. He seems like a nice doctor who genuinely cares.A discount of a few thousand dollars, as one reviewer mentioned, may seem like its a drop in the bucket to the Dr., but if you take into account all the people he may give that discount to, it adds up.I do think there is some disconnect in patient communication and understanding things, etc. I know that everyones situation is different, so their experiences will differ. As for me, IVF is my only option due to a tubal ligation. I told Dr. Shamma about our 4 month old infant passing away last year and in every interaction with Dr. Shamma, he showed genuine compassion for us and our situation. Would it be great if they offered to do my procedure for free? Sure it would, but at this point weve already invested so much money (over $20,000), time, emotions, etc, that we have no other choice but to hope and pray for the best. The only thing thats halting our continuation with the IVF procedure at IVF MICHIGAN/Toledo Fertility Center, is financial circumstances.

My wife and I are forever grateful for our beautiful miracle baby! The Toledo staff are truly top notch. Dr. Cottrell is a wonderful doctor who always makes you feel heard and cared for. I always felt comfortable asking any question and expressing any concerns I had. IVF Ohio is now apart of our family, forever! Thank you!

Phenomenal experience! From the beginning, the IVF process was explained very clearly and it was very organized. The nurses were very patient with all of our questions and willing to take time to make everything clear for us. By the time we “graduated” from the clinic 12 weeks pregnant with twins, we felt like we had a little IVF family.Dr. Shamma was very positive and encouraging, also explaining the process very clearly. We felt very taken care of through the whole process! Highly, highly recommend!

Dr.Shamma changed our life for the best forever! I cant compare my life 2 years ago to now! My husband and I did some research on a few IVF facilities. My OBGYN gave me mixed reviews on IVF toledo but when we sat down with Dr Shamma one on one- he was understanding and straight to the point. We absolutely loved him and he is very personable. We felt very comfortable leaving his office that we would soon be pregnant.His staff welcomed us with warm smiles everyday from day one.As a young couple we felt depleted and never thought we would be seeking IVF she’ll but leaving there after our first visit we felt better that we weren’t the only couple needing help. Every time I would walk in for blood work scared to death and praying everything was good- the staff would always put a smile on my face- the phone calls to confirm my labs were good- I always felt the nurse was just as happy as I was. I felt they cheered us on each and every step. We can’t say enough good things about this facility, Dr. Shamma and his staff. We will be returning soon for baby #2 if We don’t end up pregnant naturally.Prices are very affordable and they offer a 12 month interest free. It’s nice that u don’t have to have full payment upfront. They make it all affordable and break it down into payments- which is awesome. My biggest fear going into IVF was “how the hell will we pay for this” they make it affordable and easy.

Thanks to Dr. Shamma, we have a beautiful baby girl! My husband and I can not thank Dr. Shamma and his amazing staff enough! We were a difficult case and they never gave up on us! They were positive and certain even when we weren’t! They were extremely compassionate and treated us like family! They are truly amazing individuals and we would recommend them to anyone that is in need!

I was a client for 2 years. Dr Shamma was okay but beat around the bush and took his sweet time. They switched me to Dr. Cottrell and lost all my records with Dr. Shamma. Dr. Cottrell fat shamed me and is prejudice against people born with deformities. She is a fertility doctor who is uneducated in polycystic ovarian syndrome and hypothyroidism. She did not once ask me what my lifestyle or diet is and assumed because of my weight that I live unhealthy. We got absolutely no where in 2 years. Best advice, look at all fertility centers and make multiple appointments to find the best fit. This one was not for me.

Being referred to Dr.Shamma and his team was the best thing that ever happened to us. We tried for years on our own to get pregnant, saw several specialist that were puzzled with our lack of fertility then eventually ended up with him! He did some testing and found some things out that others did not catch. He was able to find out the underlying issue that was holding us back from having a child. Today we are happy to write that we have a beautiful 3 month old baby girl that we would not of had with out this man and his teams efforts!

Dr. Shamma and his staff are wonderful. They are warm, kind and always ready and willing to help with questions and concerns. IVF can be a stressful process but they all help you feel at ease about each step. I have 2 adult kids from a previous marriage, and my new husband and I were trying to have our own. Due to my age and fibroid tumors in my uterus, I was unable to have and carry a baby. Dr. Shamma and his staff were very supportive and helpful in walking us through all the steps so that we wouldn’t have our babies. Today, we are blessed to have 1 year old boy/girl twins.

Dr. Shamma and the Staff at Toledo Fertility Center are amazing. Dr. Shamma sits down with each couple and goes over all options and explains the process, he was very caring and understanding. Every time I seen him he was very welcoming and pleasant. The staff is hands down amazing!!! These women go above and beyond every time I walk in the door. They are always very supportive through the ups and downs, cuz lets face it IVF and infertility is a roller coaster and they were always so nice even when I may not have been. Toledo Fertility Center helped me create a family and they will always be a part of ours!!!

Loved my experience with Dr. Hammoud and the staff here at The Toledo Fertility Center. We were provided with all of our options for trying for our second child and after researching those options, we chose what would give us the best chance to have a baby. I am pleased to say that 11 months after our initial consultation, our baby boy arrived. Im sad to learn that Dr. Hammoud is no longer practicing there but thankful for him and the staff.

Dr. Shamma and his staff were there for us every bit of the way on our long journey to the birth of our son Jaxon. We will be forever grateful to them! Our girls answered all of our questions and helped us through the difficult parts of the ivf process. We were never treated like just another patient, we were always given the time and energy needed to make these little miracles happen. Love you all!

Dr. Shamma and his staff provided my wife and I with a terrible experience. The name, IVF Michigan, may be all that you need to know. My wife and I went to Dr. Shamma in a vulnerable state, unable to become pregnant. Dr. Shamma ran a series of tests and point blank told us that our only real option was IVF (at a price tag of around $15,000). Despite our desire for pregnancy we asked for a second opinion. The urologist that I spoke with looked at the data provided by tests ran by Dr. Shamma and told us that we should seek help from a different infertility doctor. The urologist told us, rather bluntly, that Dr. Shamma has a reputation in the field of providing incomplete information to patients in an attempt to push them toward expensive IVF treatments. From there we went to an infertility doctor in Michigan (who was also fairly blunt about Dr. Shammas reputation) who took the time to further diagnose. We had a simple surgical procedure, and became naturally pregnant a few months later. Dr. Shamma seems to take people in a vulnerable state, and push them toward IVF regardless of if it is medically necessary. Heartbreaking experience. Despite the lack of options in NW Ohio I strongly suggest pursuing options in Michigan. Btw our baby is due in September!

Dr. Shamma is awesome and so his his staff. They explained everything from start to finish and let my husband and I decide what we wanted to do. I am now 13 weeks pregnant and very happy.

Dr. Cottrell made our dreams of having a child a reality. She was kind and patient and guided us through all endless anxieties and doubts. I felt well cared for as a patient, but more importantly, I felt respected and heard. I cannot recommend her and the IVF Toledo office enough. They’ve completely changed my life in a way I didn’t always think possible.

The staff and Doctor (Shamma) are horrible. They dont have any compassion, are 3x more expensive than other clinics, do labs and ultrasounds but dont make any modifications based on them. The staff is unprofessional. They dont listen to your concerns, make inappropriate comments during procedures, and have sent emails about account balances to my distant family members. I have no faith in their expertise (or lack thereof). We are now seeing another doctor that made a disgnosis based on Shammas bloodwork that he charged us over $1000 for but missed the diagnosis. He also was intentionally missing ovulation but lied about bloodwork numbers (I have my client history and bloodwork from him). If you want a horrible experience, an unprofessional staff, a doctor that doesnt care, then call today to make an appointment. But make sure you tell all immediate and distant family you are seeking treatment because the staff is so sloppy they will email them instead of you.

Dr Shamma and his staff were absolutely amazing at the Toledo office and at the Bloomfield heights location for the procedures. We now have a happy healthy baby boy thanks to them. I cannot wait to return in the future !

You are Asian don’t go to here. All office is racism. I made appointment on 1pm . I arrive 30minutes early 12:30 no one was in waiting room. After me had few people come in nurse always call other peoples name . I was thinking they front my appointment. I waited until 1:40 . Waiting room only me left don’t have any other people waiting . I was thinking finally is my turn. 1:45 pm One couple just come in write down theirs name and said sorry about late. So I know they are late , but nurse call them let them come inside. I ask front desk I waiting over 40minutes from my appointment time what’s going on here. She was very rude and said you need to wait. I asked her why Only me need to wait other people don’t. One old lady come to me she said she is office manager and said you only wait 40minutes what is the problem. Of course is problem I canceled my appointment. I VF is not cheap I don’t wanna use my money to racism’s.

Im shocked and disgusted to hear about their fatphobic behavior and everyone should know about it. (Dr. Cottrell) Would they turn away a pregnant woman who was bigger?? No, theyd help her have a healthy pregnancy. But a bigger person who wants to GET pregnant isnt worthy of becoming a mother. Infertility care should be accessible to EVERYONE. Everyone deserves help starting a family.

We struggled for 4 years to become pregnant on our own. We looked into fertility treatments and were surprised on how welcoming the sylvania office was. We loved dr. Conttrel she was amazing and listened to our needs and now we have 2 beautiful twin baby girls. We honestly couldnt not be happier!

Dr. Shamma and his staff at the Toledo location are THE BEST!!! Because of them, we have our beautiful little girl!!! They are very welcoming and help support you during the whole process!!! HIGHLY recommend!

I cannot thank Dr Shamma and his ladies enough for making our dreams a reality. This man and this center do not get enough credit. There are literally not enough thank yous in this world for this team. We are loving having the twins in our life. I had a very bad experience, including being told Id never carry my own baby. Well, am now a mom of my own birthed baby, thanx to seeking a second opinion. I forgave but will never forget!

I called to make an appointment and the person who answered the phone for the facility was so unprofessional, she stated “I can call you back in 48 hours, I’m working on my call back list and this is what is fair, and just to let you know all the doctors are booked out over 3 and half weeks for any new patients”. They didn’t even call me back for over a week! I ended up driving to the Michigan clinic and going there. Wow.

Thanks to Dr. Shamma, I have a beautiful 18m daughter, one on the way, and one on ice 🙏🏻❤️ Obviously I couldn’t be happier with the results! I am so thankful for everything.

All they care about is the money they will push you to do an ivf even if you don’t need it .. stay away from this place please .. and the nurse is terrible 😣
