Illume Fertility - Trumbull, CT

Unhappy with my experience. Dr. Williams was wonderful, and Im very sad we couldnt move forward with my treatment with him because we had to move to a different state. Unfortunately, I cant say the same about the staff. My navigator was off most of the time and it would take me a week or two to reach out to her. Requested information about coverage, it took almost a month for someone to reach out back to me after me calling multiple times. Ive requested my records and the first form I signed was never received, they made me sign another form, Im still waiting for the records to be sent. Ive called multiple times to follow up with this process since we have an appointment with a new office, the person on the phone cut me off and didnt let me completely explain whats going on. Very frustrating. I hope the future patients dont have to deal with unprofessional people.

I would absolutely recommend Illume! I was a patient under Dr. Williams who is truly amazing! He is intelligent, caring, and has a wonderful bedside manner. He always answered any questions my husband and I had thoroughly and did a great job of explaining all of our options, as well as any procedures that needed to be done. The patient care team was great at quickly answering any concerns or questions that popped up about insurance or meds. The receptionists and team of nurses (especially at the Trumbull office) were always so welcoming and caring at every visit. Illume has helped me and my husband start our family, and I am forever grateful for them!

I could not have dreamed of a better team to help me through one of the most difficult chapters of my life. They are the most compassionate, comforting, supportive, people. Dr. Ressler literally held me while I cried, Alexis called and checked on me to see how I was handling things emotionally during rough patches and celebrated with me during wins. Every nurse and doctor that I interacted with along the way was wonderful. Even the receptionist was rooting for us and celebrating the wins. I’ll forever be changed after having the pleasure of going to Illume and meeting some of the most incredibly special people I’ve ever known. We will always be grateful for our experience there. It takes a special team to make leaving somewhere that nobody wants to ever need, so difficult.

So grateful for Dr. Shaun Williams and the whole Illume team. Been trying to conceive for 4 years & initially went to Center for advanced Reproductives services in Farmington and had the worst experience!!! Then I found Illume and they made me bloom. Today I can gratefully say I am 4 weeks pregnant! Thank you for these angels, especially Natalie and the ladies outfront !! may God bless them in all their endeavors in life. You all ate truly heaven workers🤍

I was a patient for many years here under Dr. Williams and i always felt comfortable and well taken care of. The staff was always comforting on those tough days (especially Natalie and Audrey) and I never left feeling confused or unheard. I was there for longer than i expected and after many cycles of TI, IUI and IVF I spontaneously became pregnant on an off month and Dr. Williams supported me through until graduation. I really do feel i wouldn’t be pregnant currently without them. Looking forward to sharing my birth story with them in May. I cannot recommend ILLUME enough.

The most comfortable, friendly, and warm staff. The Doctors, Nurses, and Reception treat you like family every time. Dr Williams was my Doctor and I was extremely happy with his treatment planning. Second round and got our BFP :)

I appreciated my consultation with Dr. Ressler. She’s very personable and relatable. She provided in depth information with clear expectations for next steps. Would highly recommend her!

I absolutely would recommend Illume and particularly this office. My doctors,on a whole, were great at explaining everything and answering questions. The team of nurses at the Trumbull office made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. They made early morning monitoring more tolerable and every time I had concerns, they were there to calm and educate me on what was going on. Thank you so much!

My first time at this clinic was heart warming. Staff were very empathetic and accommodating.

Wonderful, caring, and so genuine. Explained everything about the process with empathy, understanding, and knowledge. Dr Ressler was amazing!!!!! A truly kind soul who made me feel cared about from the very beginning. The worst part of this experience was leaving them. I wish they did the entire thing. I’m beyond grateful for Illume. Every single person I ever dealt with were angels on earth!!!!!

Maureen is such a kind and knowledgable nurse! She made me feel very comfortable during her visits. She organized a station for me for all of my IVF medications and showed me exactly how to mix and administer them. She answered all of my questions I had about the IVF process and provided helpful tips! I highly recommend Maureen for IVF services; whether it is for a teach class, at home care or both! She is wonderful!

For anyone struggling to have a baby, Illume is the place to go if you live in CT. I can’t say enough about all of the nurses and doctors as every single one of them were so kind and comforting throughout the entire process. Having to go through IVF, there was a lot I was scared about. Highly highly recommend the teach class with Maureen Pothier which helps you learn how to mix the IVF meds, AND the in home service Maureen also provides as she will come to your home and help you mix your IVF medications in real time and ensure you feel confident in injecting them yourself! Maureen is the reason why IVF went so smoothly for me. Thank you Illume for helping my husband and I build our family!

RMA of CT is full of great doctors and staff who care about you as a patient and your overall experience. I saw several doctors and visited multiple locations and always felt the same care regardless. You are given an entire team to work with you and ensure the best care tailored just for you. My team was great and always kept in touch throughout my time at the office. You always had timely service and received your lab results quicker than any other office I have been to before. My whole experience with RMA was seamless and smooth and I couldnt have asked for better.

I would definitely recommend Illume Fertility to friends, family members , everyone. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable My Dr is great. I can’t wait to continue my journey with them☺️

I initially was connected to another fertility clinic that only had one doctor (the decision was between them and RMA) and after roughly a year with the other clinic, I switched to RMA and could not be happier. My initial hesitation was around having my care split between providers or feeling “like a number.” Dr. Hurwitz was my main doctor, and he kept in touch and checked in even if he wasn’t the doctor scheduled to do any of the procedures. There were many calls from Dr. Hurwitz, and it’s evident just how collaborative all of the offices are in handling my care. The nursing and phlebotomy staff are excellent and the staff who handle insurance questions and financial concerns were amazing— they helped me through a job transition and understanding IVF benefits associates with various packages. I found everyone to be compassionate and dedicated, which is so needed while you’re on this journey. In terms of treatment, I felt like I was always heard and we were able to try different protocols that the first clinic wasn’t open or receptive to trying. I am happy to say that I am currently 6 months pregnant after over 2.5 years of TTC. I wouldn’t be able to say that without the help of RMA.

I just completed my egg freezing procedure with RMA-CT. The experience was stressful and eye-opening. A friend recommended the facility to me and expressed that she was very happy with her outcome. Below, I list the positives and negatives of my experience.Positives:The phlebotomists at the Trumbull location were amazing. They handled me with care and ease and always had a great attitude and a smile on their faces.I was very lucky to have a friend who had previously completed the process and could support me along the way. She provided me with information for her nurse (by the name of Brigette Alicea, located at the Norwalk, CT location) who helped me when I could not locate my nurse. She was instrumental in assisting me with the finance portion of the process by getting me connected with a financial representative.The doctors (they rotated) were kind and provided information of my progress during each visit.The facilities were clean and Covid-19 conscious. They made me feel safe and secure.The staff verified my personal information often to ensure safety and security measures were being met.During the retrieval process the doctors and medical professionals provided me with detailed information about the procedure and next steps. The medial professionals were kind and checked in frequently once I was in the recovery room.A doctor called to check in on me after the retrieval to ensure that I was feeling ok.Negatives:There is no privacy when getting your blood drawn. The office is extremely busy and is a revolving door of patients.The communication is lacking. I was assigned a financial representative, patient navigator and nurse who I rarely heard from. I was provided misinformation on the finance portion, the patient navigator never contacted me once I started the process and nurse reached out a few times to verify if I had any questions and to advise of blood work results. The nurse was unavailable on the weekends or at night, so I had no one to answer my questions during a crucial time (For example, I had difficulty filling a syringe with medication and needed to rely on a friend to walk me through it).The nurse doesn’t demonstrate how to mix medication. You are provided with a series of videos that you must rely on. The videos aren’t very helpful. I utilized You-tube for a more thorough tutorial (Nurse Michelle is excellent and provided step by step directions).Medication was ordered for ten days instead of twelve. I ran out of meds before the end of the process and the nurse never checked in to verify whether or not I was not running low. This caused a huge amount of stress as you are unable to mis a dose of medication and must stay on track. I was lucky in that I had a friend who recommended this facility and advised me to contact her nurse for next steps. That nurse by the name of Brigette was extremely helpful and advised that I could pick up an emergency dose from my local office.The facility should assign a place in the waiting area for patients once they leave the recovery room, to ensure they have enough room for other patients after completing a procedure.If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy facility or hand holding this is not the place for you.RMA-CT is a business and they operate as such.

This experience was pretty sad for me. I went maybe three times for hope of succeeding a dream me and my husband tried for. The staff there were lovely, but the goals and direction and the amount of money for meds with no means to even succeed. I wish I never did it because the pain is just a forever memory. I guess I have no other options I know other places said they would offer free assistance if it doesn’t work after a few times. I just kept paying and I have so many I meds I have no idea what to do with. I really wish I never did this painful process.

So genuine, friendly and patient! The entire staff is efficient and amazing from the front desk to the phlebotomist (who never miss or cause unnecessary pain) or the nurses and Dr’s who’s passion for their specialty shines through the care they provide! Love this office, always a positive experience whenever I’m there!

Going to RMA was one of the best decisions of my life!! After dealing with infertility for over 2 years, RMA was able to help me determine my own unique situation and through their help, I was able to conceive within 6 months of going to their office! RMA is very personalized, and each time I went to the office, I was confident in knowing whoever I would see that day would know of me and be able to best direct me to my next phase of treatment. Everyone at RMA was kind and motivated to see me succeed. From the receptionist at the front desk, the phlebotomists who took my blood many, MANY times, the nurses, doctors, patient navigator, and financial coordinator, I enjoyed interacting with them all. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about RMA, and anyone even remotely thinking about using them most DEFINITELY should!!! You won’t be sorry :)

We almost consider these folks part of the family. There are no guarantees with any treatments but I can say with confidence everyone here will do everything in their power to provide the best care. We became personally involved with everyone there and they became involved with us. Including hugs and kisses during procedures. Pat, Dr Ressler, Jen O, and Aubrey have made what is a very trying experience much more bearable. We cannot thank them enough for their passion and dedication

Been trying to get a hold since Monday but no one is picking up...I left also a voice message to to make an appointment for my husband semen analysis recommended my OB-GYN Dr. But this RMA Trumbull location are so rude and they arent close yet.. I spoke to a staff Lady and saying they are close even though it still 3pm and told me to call in the morning and hung up on me!!! I hope they could just handle it professionally not like this! Ugh!!!

I had a bad experience the first visit here but as things went by the staff became nicer and they all were helpful anytime I contacted or had a question about something. All the nurses and the doctor treated me kindly at each visit and made me forget about my first visit.

This is the best place for anyone who needs help with fertility.. the people are always willing to help and support you if needed… I’m so happy I chose this place.

I have only been to this Trumbull location a few times as my husband and I are just starting the process. However, everyone in the office is super friendly and willing to go to extra mile for you to feel comfortable.

Amazing place. I do not have one negative thing to say about my experience with RMA. Everyone was so helpful and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone having reproductive issues.
