Planned Parenthood - Walnut Creek Health Center

The staff is absolutely amazing. Best woman’s health care experience I’ve ever had. Alison the NP and Ashley were so patient and really made me feel relaxed. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Amazing staff, clean facility, overall love love loveee this location. I’ve been here twice for SA and each time was pleasant. They seem to be pretty organized, thorough, and well informed. I Was in & out within 3-4 hours non rushed. Even got a care package with pads, fuzzy socks, chocolates, etc. curated by volunteers. How awesome is that? Thank you PPWC!

Sarah Bell is the worst whatever she claims to be. I kept telling this lady I have to have a pap every six months and I haven’t had one in the last six months and she said I did have one. She wouldn’t even call to verify that I hadn’t had one and told me she can’t lose her job just because I’m scared of catching cancer! I will never forget that lady as long as I live. She is on my mind every single day!

I would never come back.I was in there for 6/7 hours . Soon as the 15 min come they rushed me out . No discharge papers or medication. Didnt walk me out to see if I got in my Uber safe . If I wanted to I could have drove myself they didnt care . Selling body parts. They do procedure in a regular room which was weird. Then the back waiting room is you sitting in chairs while hurting coming down off anesthesia the whole setup was weird.

Wonderful and kind humans who genuinely care about your well-being work here. As an extremely anxious person, the staff here were able to assuage my fears and make me feel very comfortable. Even though this clinic is a bit away from my home, I will most certainly revisit it for the amazing care I received here

Went in for a routine visit today. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. They were slammed with a lot of patients so there was a bit of a wait to get seen, but the staff made it worth it. I was checked in by Genesis at the front desk and she was very helpful, and we got through the check in process quickly. I was then able to watch Pirates of the Caribbean on their TV while I waited to be called back, which made the wait feel a lot quicker. Kalila was the medical assistant who did my visit, and she was very friendly, helpful, and was able to answer all of my questions. She made the blood draw quick and not too painful which was nice.Overall: A little bit of a wait before being seen, but the excellent staff made it a positive experience.

I got my Pap smear done by Madeline Spahr and she made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. The whole team at planned parenthood worked to get me seen quickly and everyone I encountered was very kind and friendly.

LOCATION: This location is a little difficult to find. Its off a side road and the Planned Parenthood sign faces into the parking lot. The building is surrounded by big trees, which is very nice!, but made it a tad hard to find.PARKING: Parking is free, but I can definitely see there being an issue around high-traffic times: there are only a few spots and the lot is shared with another building. You can park on the street, but its very crowded which makes finding a spot difficult.PICKETERS: There are very self righteous picketers here. I was disappointed to see this. They did not approach me however they were there with huge signs condemning those who exercise their personal rights to their bodies. *NOTE: Planned Parenthood provides an escort service if you feel uncomfortable with the picketers. All you have to do is call when you arrive and they will send someone out to get you.OFFICE CONDITION: This is an older building, with a lot of 70s style wood paneling, windows close to the ceiling and older style rooms / doors / front desk. With this being said, the office / bathroom / procedure rooms are immaculate. The waiting room is large, and has a tv on with movies playing to keep your company while you wait.FRONT DESK STAFF: The front desk staff was incredibly kind and respectful. The woman I worked with took great care of me and had me checked in a very reasonable amount of time.WAIT TIME: The wait time here was a lot more than Ive seen at other locations (San Ramon) but far faster than others (OLD San Ramon / Gilroy / Tracy). I waited about an hour in the waiting room lobby, but as soon as my nurse called me back, things ran very smoothly at a great speed. Once in my room, it took about 10 minutes for the nurses to come in and about 5 minutes after that to see my doctors.DOCTORS & NURSES: The doctors and nurses at this location are unbelievably professional and kind. I was seen by Louise, Charlotte, Emma and Dr. Laura Crystal Ornelas. Im blown away by the level of treatment I received from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. These ladies asked important questions, didnt rush me and followed up with me after my visit. Louise remembered me from a phone call prior and followed up without me even asking. Emma, Charlotte and Dr. Laura were in my patient room with me. They all knew I had a poor prior experience with a broken IUD. Emma stayed very close to me and held my adult hand as I went through my procedure. My nerves were high and I was scared. She did not let go of me the entire time. She calmly reminded me to breathe, that it okay to squeeze her hand as hard as I needed and was a constant source of encouragement through the procedure. Charlotte was a calm and smiling face every time I looked up at her. Dr. Laura was the calmest doctor Ive ever worked with. She was thorough and explained everything to me in detail before she did anything. She was gentle and quick at completing the procedure safely.I had the pleasure of working with Kalia right as I was leaving. She helped me with my prescription, despite having only bumped into me in the hall. She was patient and didnt rush me as I asked about my medication. Louise, from earlier, was waiting with a smile to check on me before I left. Im truly overcome with gratitude for how these women treated me through my visit. They were all beyond lovely.TLDR: Office is slightly hard to find - watch gps closely. Parking is tight but you have the option to park on the street if necessary. Office is immaculately clean. STAFF IS AMAZING!!

My appointment was 12:45 and they let me in at 1:45after I had to waited again 35mins inside the room without my pant. Lol , and I still have to paid $580.Located at Walnut Creek, CA

I had to have a small medical procedure and the staff the entire time were extremely nice and accommodating, never looked upset and they were willing to help with everything, I couldn’t leave the rest area for a bit because of my oxygen levels but they did everything in their power to help me get my oxygen back up, I have asthma and it got bad the day I came in and I don’t usually need it but I did that day and they gave me an inhaler and were so kind while I was so anxious, the doctors and nurses here are wonderful and left me feeling very comfortable with my visit, one of the first times I’ve felt actually comfortable in a doctors office and felt fully cared for, thank you to all the staff!

Very long waiting times but the staff is wonderful. Super kind and helpful. I interacted with 4 different women and they all made me feel comfortable! Unfortunately I only got 1 name. I think Simran

Good for San Ramon location but they don’t offer counseling but this location doesn’t care about therapy or ethics, Katie and other counseling ladies messed up my whole file multiple times. I had to go to a private therapist

Thank you to all the staff for their wonderful service. Thank you for providing women a safe place to get birth control at a reasonable price and giving all women the right to make the best choice for their own bodies and life’s. Thank you.

The staff was very kind and considerate. They made you feel safe and helped you make the right decisions depending on your situation.

Had an appointment. The place was a bit disorganized, and the wait was longer than necessary. Had to push the staff along to get what I needed done. Did manage to get out of there within 45 minutes.

The staff are amazing and really comforting through out everything. You’ll feel safe.

Over the years this PP center has gotten a lot faster with how long it takes to get in & out of appointments!

Friendly staff but the wait time is ridiculous !! Why schedule Appointments if you can’t keep them ??
