They said that they do accept my insurance to get me through the door, come to find they don’t actually and charged me $260 a month for TRT. You can find tele-health clinics online much cheaper from $60-125 a month easily. This place is massively overcharging. I know a clinic in a higher cost of living area, with a bigger building and more staff that’s charging $70 a month, way less than this place so I know they’re gouging. The facility and staff are okay, just kind of a shady business model in my opinion. And don’t buy the shakes and Vitamin B12 injections, you can get all of that online much cheaper.

Ive been going here for a year now. All the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and amazing. They have changed my life. Im in the best shape in years. Make an appointment if you have symptoms.

Mantality has been easy and, dare I say fun(?) to work with. They have provided confident guidance to optimizing my hormone health to meet my physical goals. I feel great. I’m grateful to not have to navigate these complicated waters alone in Reddit forums and seedy online “pharmacies”.

Mantality has a friendly staff and cozy environment to get sound advice on how to counter the effects of hormone changes that come with age. My labs were thoroughly reviewed and analyzed to determine the best treatment options. My insurance covered my initial consultation and minimized my out of pocket expenses. Customer service was quick and responsive to my email communications and flexible in addressing any questions I had. I would recommend this as a good starting point for any guy out there that has concerns over hormone changes and overall health to get a treatment plan that can make a real difference.

Dont do it!My husband went to them because they said they accept insurance. They dont charge insurance like they say they do, then when you ask them they say its less expensive if you dont.My husband has not gone to them AND called them to cancel SO MANY times. Hasnt received treatment since March 22 and its August 22... they are STILL charging us each month regardless of if we call them to remind them they havent seen or sent medicine since MARCH.GO TO YOUR FAMILY MEDICINE DOCTOR FIRST. We were able to get on a much better routine that works better, and ACTUALLY goes to our insurance.Very disappointed. These guys are a scam.

Been going there for 10 weeks now and feel great! They are very professional and friendly. Their office is clean and comfortable and you can tell that they really care how you feel and monitor your labs closely and adjust to make u feel the best. Im only 10 weeks in and still adjusting to what my body likes which I understand it doesnt happen over night and people react to treatment differently but I can say I already feel way better.

The total Mantality experience was an absolute pleasure. From getting my initial labs completed, to working through the weeks to find a proper dosage, and finally reaching a place that I feel like a young champion, it is truly a second to none operation. Exceptional professionals that show real care and concern for the needs of the patient. My only issue is that I didn’t become a patient sooner. Thank you so much Mantality!

Overall a very good clinic staff is very friendly and helpful. It doesn’t take a lot of time or hassle to get started on the treatment and they are very flexible and accommodating. Definitely a perfect choice if you feel like your testosterone may be low.

Wouldnt want anyone to have low T, but if you do, go see the awesome staff here. They are thorough, knowledgeable, caring, and give warm personal care. At the risk of sounding cliche and corny; they seem to be friends. I enjoy my weekly visits and find that working with these folks is easy. They make it fun and comfortable. Doesnt feel so much like a medical clinic, but more like a club where the real medicine and therapy is made more effective by the relationship with the awesome staff here. I would name them, but would fear overlooking someone. Top notch professional treatment, delivered with a personal warm touch! These guys rock, and I feel great. Go see em!!!!

I have been going to mantality for a few months now and have had significant changes in my energy levels. More productive and focused at work and at home.The staff is great. Really fun to work with! Overall, pleased with my experience!

I gave Mantality a shot from October thru December. I wasn’t noticing much difference, so I called to cancel the automatic payments at the end of December. Was charged $235 in January. Called and told them to fix it. Charged $235 in February. Called and asked them to fix it. Just got charged another $235.Update:Finally heard back from them after posting this review. Misunderstanding about payments/delivery but they have reversed the charges. Pleased to have resolved, but it shouldn’t take multiple phone calls to the office, disputing charges thru credit card company , and a bad review to get a resolution.

I came in due to a blood panel showing that my T levels were concerningly low. They were extremely thorough and did two extra blood tests (before 10 am with fasting) to insure that I was not misdiagnosed. I got my results in a timely manner and they started me on treatment right away, as well as answered any and all questions I had about treatment. I knew they were specialists when they were even worried about putting me on treatment at such a young age and made sure I was fully aware of the potential risks before starting. On top of that, they are making sure they are doing everything possible to lower the risks by putting me on the proper supplemental medication along with the standard treatment.Overall, the staff is kind, friendly, and most importantly, care about their patients. It is also great to be able to have personal conversations other than just professional ones. The staff here really does go above and beyond and are very knowledgable in what they do!

Ive just started treatment, second today, so no results yet. But the staff is friendly, thorough and explains everything you need to know. If you are getting into your fourth or fifth decade, this is definitely something you need to check out. I work ten hour days and my energy level at the end of the day doesnt motivate me to workout. Especially after the hour drive. So I have high expectations that this will help.

Top notch from first consultation to my 40th treatment. They listen to your concerns and if you have any questions they find the answers. Facilities are top notch. Always a free water, pop or even a beer if you need to relax. Multiple referrals have been sent to Mantality based off my experience.

I use the Mantality office in Des Moines. The staff knows what customer service means and they prove it on every visit. They are very knowledgeable and always ready to explain where my “T” is at and what they are doing to improve my numbers. Great crew in Des Moines!

I support TRT (testosterone replacement therapy), but it was so hard to get treatment here. They have extremely limited hours. Open only 3.5 days a week, and usually closed by 5pm. After repeated issues with the person who works the front desk was repeatedly rude and confrontational (you have to deal with her at every visit and put up with her unprofessional attitude and behavior), I started having my regular doctor oversee my TRT and her nurse apply the shots. There are some risks attached to testosterone and I was surprised to learn that Mantality was giving me a lot more than I should have received. They administered a shot that starts fading after 8 days, so I would have to go in every week and get another shot (they get more money this way). It caused my body to overproduce red blood cells and I had to have blood drawn every 6 weeks or my blood would get thick like syrup. My current doctor uses a testosterone that starts fading after 10 days. She gives me a bit extra so I can have enough testosterone so that I am good for 2 weeks. I have had multiple blood tests with my doctor and all my levels look great and I dont have to get my blood drawn at all now. This is so much cheaper, healthier, more convenient, and more professional than the experience I had with Mantality. My advice - talk to your regular physician, not these folks.

I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to Mantality. They would deserve better care.This place had my testosterone blown through the roof, doing blood donations every month to keep my HCT (blood thickness) in check. Needless to say I was anemic from their “expertise”. Took months for my current provider to fix.Mantality repeatedly dismissed my concerns about having a shorter than normal temper, anger, etc. It was blatantly obvious to me that it was way worse than my “normal”.Also robbed my insurance company blind with their billing practices. I would recommend you pay cash if you value the coverage your insurance company gives you. Mantality gets payed (not billed) about 3x what cash customers pay (as of March 2018). Wellmark was paying about $500/mo and I was paying $100/mo out of pocket. I was told that cash customers couldn’t afford what I was being billed, that’s why it was so much less for them. Never did get a straight answer as to what they were billing and why. Conveniently no one seemed to know what the billing codes meant.They are nice people, but poorly managed. If you’re desperate due to low T they might be a quick fix, but since I’ve called Defy Medical out of Tampa, Florida, I’ve never been happier. Much cheaper for you and your insurance company in the long run.

I drove 4 hours round trip for a 5 minute consultation to be told I dont qualify as a client. This consultation could have been done over the phone. Have the professional courtesy to save people time--especially when the staff knew I was coming from out of town.

I’ve been dealing with low T for a few years. I was being managed by my general practitioner in Boston and again here in Des Moines but never really got ideal results. Mantality treats with more than just testosterone and monitors lab values closely. It’s amazing what a difference seeing a specialist has made.

Comfortable office, easy & quick to get in and out of and on with my day. Inside mantality office there is another suite that does free screening for snoring/sleep apnea in less than 5 mins. They offer treatment option using a custom made medical grade dental device vs. wearing my cpap (which i hate). It was even covered by my medical insurance :). Mantality is great!

032918 - EXCELLENT!! I saw the other review (a.k.a. the 6 page grievance and one star rating). I couldnt let it stand alone because Ive been going to this place for a couple of months. The place is new to the DM area (around 3 months?). Its modern, hip, and clean. I actually watched UFC on Roku, on the big screen, in the comfy waiting room there today!! The staff is professional and friendly, and top notch. The program itself, is exceptional. -- Give it a little time, and there will be A LOT of other 5 star ratings on here.

Told me over the phone my insurance would cover costs then once they got me in the door and gave me the sales pitch, asked for 220 a month. I decided to get the test done but they refused to give me a copy of the results. Dont trust anything they tell you.

Professional staff. Please don’t expect changes overnight. Give it 8 to 12 weeks and then you see the difference. I used to hit a wall come 2 to 3 pm everyday. Now that is gone. Have energy all day. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work.

I really have nothing good to say other than the staff was friendly. First and foremost, this place is a rip off. I know they charge most patients $200.00 per month , which cannot be substantiated. The testosterone they supply you with (at least at home patients) is a 10ml vial of testosterone cypionate, which is about a 3 month supply. The out of pocket, no insurance cost of the 10ml vial is $180. They supply needles and syringes as well, which can be bought online for about 0.20EA. They perform one blood test within those 3 months, which can be purchased for $68.00 without insurance. Added up, without insurance, the cost outside of Mantality is under $300 for a 3 month period. WITH insurance, Mantality charges $600.00 for 3 month period. They also blindly prescribe a template amount of HCG and Anastrozole, without personal consideration of your existing levels of E2 or SHBG, which are things that will effects how those medications will effect you. Mantality crashed my E2 levels to 0 when I first started, because they did not consider my already low E2 levels and gave me the standard prescription they give to every patient. I had terrible 24 hour headaches for over a week because of their carelessness.This is a business, theyre here to make money, not to look for your best interests. I had cancelled my service with them and 5 months later they reached out to me asking when I would be coming in for blood tests and receiving more medication, thats how organized and caring they are about patients, they dont even know if you still use their service and wouldnt have known that you were without your medication until 2 months after you would have been due. I went to a real doctors office and got the same prescription and testing for $20.00 per month, I suggest you do the same if considering TRT.
