Im leaving this review specifically about the billing practices and the inept person handling the billing. While Dr. Burkhardt was very thorough in determining course of treatment, I am extremely disappointed that she allowed the billing person to continue to communicate with me about my complaint and didnt bother to intervene as the owner of the practice. If you consider going to this practice, make sure you are on top of your insurance because Christine does nothing but generate sporadic invoices - sometimes with breakdown of services but not every time. I had a claim denied on a visit due to exceeding max number of visits of 10. However, I asked for a list of my visits prior to the 11th visit and did not get that info until after the visit took place. No one advised me that I was above the max visits and that it would be billed as a self-pay. The difference, by the way, is over $100. Despite giving them an insurance card prior to my 1st visit, this practice does not give you a monthly bill and denies responsibility for anything insurance related. Its a deceitful way of billing and I refuse to associate with any business who conducts their billing in this manner. Im not sure how Im supposed to understand that they dont do what every other medical office does. I was actually able to get the claim processed and emailed proof to Christine, asking that my account be zeroed out. She responded that it would be zeroed out if and when they get paid. Nothing but bad customer service here. I even referred a couple of people to the practice but Ive rescinded the recommendations over this. Patients mean nothing here.

I’ve been seeing Kara regularly since last Spring. She has been an invaluable resource during pregnancy as well; her ability to blend her knowledge of the ancient practice of acupuncture with modern advancements in natural medicine & supplements is a true gift. The staff are all lovely as well - highly recommend!

I watched my better half try half a dozen practitioners before she found this practice; Kara is amazing and has done what others haven’t been able to. Thank you so much!
