Planned Parenthood - White Plains Center

I had a medical emergency and appreciated the opportunity to see a doctor the same day. Everyone—the nurses, receptionist, and doctor—was friendly, helpful, and kind. I received all the necessary information to make an informed decision about my health. The facility is modern, clean, and purposefully designed. I was impressed with the discussion I had with the doctor about several issues that my OBGYN never addressed. I am grateful for all the help I received today and wish the center and its staff the best of luck.

During the most emotional time of my life without putting my personal life out there as we all have our struggles, I have previously been to Planned Parenthood before in and out of my addiction and my own struggles. When I got here my anxiety, I know I’m a lot to deal with. Anyone willing to meet me at my level of where I am emotionally mentally and with my anxiety, I give beyond five stars. I want to give a shout out to a few special employees that I thought Really went out of their way to comfort me during a very, very hard difficult time quite lonely, but I did nothing alone today and I was supported. I wanna give a shout out to Jasmine Rosie, Judy.nyree. That was just my entrance and intake and setting up experience to get to the recovery room. While sitting in the recovery room, I am now thinking positive positive thoughts, as I was getting emotional, and Kendra was very awesome, reminding me of natural coping skills and reminding me that I am doing what’s best for me and my life for what I had disclosed. Hyewon, was very kind as well the recovery room in general I’d like to say every staff member I’ve encountered here is amazing but these are just the names I had gathered. I really need to give a special shout out to Kendra. She understood my anxiety the most and really helped me just really get back to reality and realize look it gonna be OK. I give this place five stars only because there is five stars but those of you that hate on people for making decisions that are none of your concern. This place is very professional very clean very very kind and the staff is amazing. Again, is this something I wanted to do absolutely not but had I had to do it I would go with this place all over again so those haters that are writing all these terrible things. Please listen to the people that are really struggling and don’t just sit in protest, but are actually enduring and going through the process inside the building.Dr Shapiro, is who I worked with today and she is amazing as a prior addicted human being most doctors like to stigmatize and treat you like you are just a junkie “” she was very kind, very educated and totally understood my addictions and prior issues and how they do not define who I am and what and how I should be treated today here in the medical room Thank you.

I dont like to leave reviews, but maybe if they get enough feedback, someone will actually manage this office. If you have any other options, take it. Dont come here thinking its a decent office because of the PP name. This is the 2nd one I have been to in a week, and both experiences were very trying and exercises in patience. Appointments mean nothing, and they are simply incompetent overall. They scheduled me for the wrong procedure and made me wait for over 2.5 hours to tell me immediately upon seeing me that I needed a different procedure and would need it done elsewhere.

Definitely not sure why everyone is giving a low score. Upon my arrival till the end, was the best experience. I’m pretty sure I spoke to everyone that day. From talking about chipotle to weddings and gym routines. I enjoyed my visit here.

I’ve had a frustrating experience with Dr. D regarding my birth control prescription. Despite explaining multiple times that switching my prescription causes me significant issues like irregular periods and mood swings, she continues to change it every few months. It’s been very upsetting, and I no longer feel like my concerns are being taken seriously. When I inquired about the recent switch, I was told it was a generic version and that my usual one was out of stock at the pharmacy. However, the pharmacist clarified that this wasn’t the case and advised me to speak with my doctor. Unfortunately, I now feel like I need to find a more reliable doctor who truly listens and cares for their patients.

I like the structure of this Planned Parenthood, it is very private sectioned off in its own location, in order to be let in through the second door that leads to the waiting room, you have to see the receptionist at the front and provide ID when you first enter which is great because it respects the privacy of patients. Dr. Rivera is very quick, average time he spends in the office is 2 minutes and the receptionist and assistants are usually nice. Definitely call here if you are near this location and need services, they are also usually very helpful with any information you might need before your visit.

I had to make a visit there for new birth control pills I was in desperate need of a refill and my regular location is closed until Tuesday( today is Friday btw) I spoke to a nice lady on the phone and she told me to go check the one in White Plains. They could help me get my pills. I was a little skeptical because of all the bad reviews and I’ve never been to this location before. I must say this office is so very clean and upscale newly renovated The receptionist at the front was very nice and understanding to my situation, and I was provided with my birth control there with no problems I was literally in and out within 10 minutes, thank you so much for making this experience so stress free😌🥰

I wasn’t given any privacy while I was getting undress for procedure and while I was getting dress ,the Medical assistant continue to clean the seat while I was in the exam room.I was very uncomfortable with situation.

Experience is good, respectful & helpful staff with my gender affirming care 💖. They definitely improved with seeing me sooner. Its no more than a 15 minute wait from the appointment time. Big difference from the more than a hour wait from before :)! They took the time acknowledge that injecting me with estrogen shouldnt take long, so they see me sooner cause of that.

I came here because my OB could not see me until January being an existing patient and what not . And i needed a place that would see me right away, I was able to get an appointment right away, and once I was here I did not have to wait very long . I was there from approximately 2 hours , since there were other patients waiting. The Nurse was very nice & informative, non judgmental and I felt very comfortable & the doctor was quick to the point and respected my wishes . I would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking care immediately, they were very kind and listened to my concerns !Beware the protesters outside the building !

The doctors and nurses here were soooo kind and helpful for IUD insertion procedures. It didnt hurt and they were done so quickly.

Not sure why this place is so poorly reviewed. Went in there for Nexplanon and Dr. Rivera was INCREDIBLE. Wonderful, kind doctor. Encouraged me to ask questions, made me feel so comfortable and confident in my decision, and he knew what he’s talking about. The only negative thing I would say is definitely the wait time. But with the care I got, I really can’t complain.

Staff were very warm and welcoming when I came in for my appointment, made me immediately feel less anxious. Staff and clinicians were straightforward and clear with the information they provided, and overall I felt very comfortable during my appointment. I would definitely schedule an appointment here again in the event I need to in the future.

I had appointment at 11.15 am for removing implant birth control but I waited for over 1 hour. I felt disappointed from this place. I came for appointment a little bit early so I don’t miss my appointment but I had to wait over 1 hour to get procedure done. It is unacceptable. I won’t suggest anyone to come here and I will never come back here again. Horrible experience.

First time ever going to Planned Parenthood, I came for a Paragard insertion. The place was extremely clean, the staff was very professional and nice. It was a one hour wait, which I found normal for a medical appointment. The doctor that did the insertion was AMAZING, they made me feel super comfortable which I loved because I was really nervous, they were patient and answered all my questions.Honestly not sure why there are so many bad reviews because I can honestly say my experience was truly great.

This is an aggregate review based on multiple experiences including myself. The clinic was the only place with appointments available during the pandemic. However with an appointment wait times in the office are horrendous (2 hours for a simple 20 min visit), patients are passed from provider to provider without explaination. Later on hit with a bill despite it being a preventive visit. The additional problem is they dont inform you that you have a bill and send your information to collection agency. How can we pay a bill if we dont expect it and are not notified???Also FYI any clinic visit will count as an annual preventive even though no doctor was seen. Will absolutely not recommend unless you dont have other options (and my heart goes out to you if you have to deal with this mess... Our healthcare system is so messed up!)

I made an appointment for 10am I arrived at 945 and wasnt called till almost 12. WHATS THE POINT OF MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WHEN THEY ARENT GOING TO SEE YOU AT THAT TIME. I am a mother and have children I have to attend to. I made it clear I had to pick up my son by 11 45 and was told they had no idea what time Id be seen Id have to wait to be called. There were other women in here who waited just as long and were just as frustrated.

I loved the service here, a little bit of a wait which is understandable.The scribe, Brit, was so sweet and comforting. The nurse practitioner was so wonderful and caring. Definitely would recommend coming here.

Waited 2 hours in the front and after getting called into the room and seeing the doctor for 10 minutes, I was left alone for 2 hours. My appointment was at 1pm and I left at 5:30pm.They are inconsiderate and inhumane. I have never EVER been so insulted by “professional Doctors and Nurses”.

I dont understand why in the past 3+yrs of going to planned parenthood from white plains to mount vernon that I have yet to see a gynecologist. They have these nurse practitioners, doctors assistants, everything under the sun but a licensed oBGyN. Theyre doing everything but looking at v*****. She gave me a long qtip and a solution bottle told me to stick it up there myself like wait...in all my years of going to my regular checkups the GYNECOLOGIST is supposed to be doing this. They wanna sit you in the room and give you pep talks without actually examining you. She came in the room she was so young like straight outta high school not that that matters but I immediately knew she was no obgyn I really dont like it honestly and wish they would hire a gynecologist to do a gynecologist job.

Was told to pick up paitent but wasnt informed that there is no waiting room, so was left ourside in the cold. Came back to pick up, and while waiting was hearing co workers talking about the patients and there opinions on abotion !!!!??? Manager had no clue on how long procedure will take ( hope its not her 1st day). Was so unprofessional it made me question humanity. Happened today 2-18-2022 @ 2 :19 pm.

Called on Saturday October 31st at 10:59 am and spoke with a veryyy abrasive man. It’s my first time calling PP and I was a bit nervous but he was very short and not friendly. I hope the nurses and drs there are better but this phone call makes me want to look into alternative options.

I use planned parenthood for routine gynecological care. Ive been to numerous locations around Westchester, and all the doctors have all been wonderful and kind, except for Dr. Olga Levin Canger. I went to the White Plains location today, the staff were nice, and the medical assistant/nurse was very thorough. Dr. Canger walked in the room without knocking or even letting me put on my gown. She pulled the curtain, said get undressed as she talks through the curtain about my symptoms. She said not today when I asked if she could do a Pap smear, which I need. This is the second time I e been denied a Pap smear here. She then blamed my symptoms on shaving, which has nothing to do with it. She then refused to check if I had a UTI, because she said I didnt have symptoms of one. I said but Ive been peeing a lot, which she says, thats not a UTI symptom. Which it clearly is, she was too lazy to do the test I guess. Her tone and the way she spoke was incredibly rude. I know this is long, and probably TMI, but I had to warn others to avoid her if youre in the White Plains location.

Rude, unprofessional and staff lacking in protocol procedures. When asked to speak to a supervisor Malta said she didnt have one. When I proceeded to ask for her last name she said she wasnt required to give it to me. We called looking for help and she did everything but that. She was not helpful, she was combative and grossly unsympathetic. She didnt even attempt to find a solution. Who rectifies these kinds of issues? Who steps in and makes it right? Smh

All the staff was amazing very nice friendly and made me feel comfortable they all were very supportive

I called yesterday to get an appointment, and they were able to fit me in bright and early! The staff is absolutely delightful and the whole experience was wonderful.

My experience was amazing! Very welcoming, warm. I was very anxious it was my first visit there. It was clean, quick, warm and make me feel good. Thank you to the stuff!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! I called to make an appointment and they told me they had time available that same day so when I got there, I was greeted by a woman sitting behind the desk moaning and complaining. I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable. I guess they were pissed that the booking person squeezed me in towards the end of the day. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!! The woman behind the desk was saying things like Oh hell no, this is not what I think it is. The entire time I was there I was rushed and the person that actually examined me didnt even know what she was doing. I was in tears by the time I left this place. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE PLACE!!!! THIS PLACE IS HORRENDOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zero Stars- GO TO NEWBURGHThis place makes you wait for up to 6 hours so forget having anything planned for your entire day. No one tells you what’s going on, you’re stuck in a room for HOURS alone… Unbelievable that it takes 5 to 6 hours pr patient…

This place is horrible. First and last time. I called twice and asked if the provide a specific testing. They confirmed twice that they do. I arrived and they wasted my time to not provide the testing I need. When I called in advance to confirm! Extremely unprofessional.

Amazing place the staff was so prefessional and so comfoeting throughout my procedure. I was so nervous beforehand but they insured me that Id be ok. Totally would recommend the place to anyone

All I’m going to say is good luck getting these people on the phone. You’d have better luck reaching the president. These people do not pick up the phone for nothing in the world!! Unbelievable

My experience was a great one the staff were very helpful & made me feel comfortable the place was super clean & the covid laws were being practiced thank you pph i would recommend

Checking in felt like checking into a prison. Concrete walls, locked doors and not to mention you can not get into the office or check in without presenting an ID. After waiting an hour a clamp was just inserted without a warning.... was pleasant.

The service was phenomenal. Took me in right away, did not wait at all. Got in and out within 25 minutes. Would recommend highly.

They refused to take my staples out after my c section because I missed two doctors appointments due to a emergency family situation doctor said go to where ever u was getting prenatal care at now suppose I get a infection dont come here for prenatal care

Very rude, argumentative staff that desperately need customer service and sensitivity training. Really brings down the overall mission of planned parenthood.

Before 1and half week I complete my procedure. After that when I call they didn’t pick the phone.
