In the past office staff was very responsive. At the end of 2023 Dr. Taras stopped taking Medicare and I suspect has less office staff because no one returns my call for test results. I have been a patient of Dr. Taras for over 20 years. I have not been treated by any other doctor who is so caring about his patients — who not only treats medical issues, but who helps with emotional issues as well. I’m particularly thrilled that Dr. Taras focuses on helping his older patients cope with their menopause symptoms in a way that greatly reduces side effects and stress.He provides patients with an email address and encourages them to contact him at any time. I know from personal experience how wonderful it is to have a physician who is accessible.His staff is equally amazing, with the office taking on the atmosphere of a family. Whenever I have needed to see Dr. Taras on an urgent basis, his staff has accommodated me in even if it required them to stay late.Dr. Taras has never made me feel uncomfortable about anything, and I don’t hesitate in speaking with him about any issues that might arise.Dr. Taras is truly one in a million, and I highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Taras for over 10 years. He is the best Dr. I have seen in my life. He takes time to get to know you and listen to all your concerns. He makes me feel comfortable and cared for. He has always been available whenever I needed care. He has helped me successfully get my body and hormones on the right track. I like him so much that he is still my primary care physician even though I moved to Colorado Four years ago. I travel back to California yearly sometimes twice a year just to see him. Dr. Taras saved my life… literally. I went to him after my regular doctor dismissed my chest pains as nothing more than hormonal things that happen to many women in my age bracket. Turns out I had stage 3 breast cancer even with my mammograms showing my results as normal. It was Dr Taras who listed to me and ordered an ultrasound just to take a precautionary look. The ultrasound revealed abnormalities and within a week or two I was undergoing surgery for stage 3 cancer. Dr. Taras worked with the utmost urgency to help me get to who I needed to see. This man listens and gives you his full attention. Fourteen years later I am still alive to recommend him as the best of the best.

Dr Taras is one of a kind!! He is very ethical, patient, caring and he truly listens!! I have been a patient of Dr. Taras since 2004 he is one of the best doctors I have ever met! I had to request a last minute appointment because my other obgyn was not available or taking my concerns seriously. I picked this office based on Yelp reviews and they were all correct. I was welcomed to Dr. Taras office with open arms and was not judge for being anxious. Dr. Taras spent a lot of time during our appointment speaking with me about my health overall, not just womens health. I felt very relieved after my appointment. He really cares about patient care and mental well-being and his office staff was very friendly as well. Even though he is out of network, a visit with Dr. Taras is definitely worth it. I am very picky with my doctors and really recommend him. As a quick add on, I needed a prescription sent to NY as I am there for travel and Dr. Taras did that very quickly over email which was crazy to me given the usual long wait times for doctors to send prescriptions. Simply the best doctor Ive ever had. As someone who has been scared and weary of doctors in the past, I was hesitant to try someone new. Dr. Taras has exceeded every single one of my expectations, and Im just sad I didnt find him sooner. He spends extensive amounts of time with each one of his patients and makes you feel like he really cares. His entire staff is equally as compassionate. The icing on the cake? Dr. Taras is the best doctor for a few reasons. First, he actually listens to you during your appointment. Hes always personable. Next, he treats the whole person, even if that means writing a referral because its outside of his scope, and gives you all the resources you need to succeed. But he never dismisses you or fixates on one issue. Lastly, he goes above and beyond emailing and one on one help even outside of your appointment.

He and his staffs knowledge, caring attitude and professionalism were beyond expectation. I had heard great things about Dr. Taras and they were all true and then some. It took a bit to get an initial appointment but it was worth the wait. He took time to get to know me and understand my needs and come up with solutions that work for my specific situation. Also, I had never gone to a male gynecologist in my life and was a little apprehensive at the prospect. But he and his staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and I know now that was really a non-issue. So happy to have found his office.

Dr. Taras genuinely cares for the well-being of his patients. His interest in my overall wellness and quality of life is reflected in the amount of time he takes to record, track and update my medical record, and the constant flow of information about the most recent medical options available for that with which I am dealing. Dr. T is great! Really easy to talk to and a great staff in the office! They are caring and really value your well being. I am an email person, and Dr. Taras always responds within a day to my emails. I know some women prefer female GYNs, but Dr. T has a great insight into women. He has a wife and daughter and you can tell he truly cares about the women in his life and their absolute best well being. When you meet with him he is always up to speed on your health over all and listens very carefully to you. A great doctor all around!

Dr Taras reminds me of an old fashioned doctor in a really good way. He is present & not staring at a computer while talking to me. He takes his time & I don’t feel rushed in & out of his office & his staff is as kind as he is. He delivered 2 of my children (didnt deliver the 3rd because we lived in another state at the time), and I continue to see him for all my annual check ups as well as any concerns I have. Ive been seeing Dr. Ian Taras since he took over for his father. He has stayed dedicated to his patients, expanded his knowledge and has always made me feel comfortable in his care. He goes the extra mile to make sure his patients feel listened to and their concerns addressed. I have been with Dr. Taras for many years. I have never known a more patient, caring, and warm doctor. I had the honor of being a patient of Dr. Ian Taras’ father, Dr. Edward Taras. I was his patient for a few decades and had the opportunity to get to know Dr. Ian Taras as he initially joined his father’s practice. There were a few times when Dr. Edward Taras would consult with his son, Ian, for a second opinion involving my care. I trusted Dr. Edward Taras so completely that when I saw how much he valued Ian’s opinion, I knew that I would have no concerns when the time came for Dr. Edward Taras to retire and that Ian would take over my care. Dr. Ian Taras values his patients and is only an email or phone call away if you need him. I once had an emergency in late December a few years ago and sent him an email. He was on a cruise, on vacation and still responded to me and managed to get me an antibiotic. Tell me another doctor with such dedication? Don’t bother, there is no other doctor out there who tends to their patients like Dr. Ian Taras. He is perfection.

I just recently had my first visit Dr. Taras to make sure Im doing everything right as I enter peri-menopause. This is also the first time Ive had a male gynecologist. I felt extremely comfortable. He met with me for over an HOUR. And this is without a physical exam. He asked questions. He listened. He provided options, as well as literature, so I could do some research on my own. I could not have been more impressed. I have worked in health care for 20 years and I have always been very proactive about own health and wellness. Not once have I experienced this. Ever. While he is not in my network, his office still worked with my insurance as much as possible, but even if they didnt, I would still continue to be his patient. The pricing is beyond reasonable especially when you factor in the amount of time he spent with me. I highly recommend Dr. Taras and 818GYN!

Dr. Taras has been my doctor for over a decade now. Although I first heard of him through his amazing work organizing walk/runs to fund cancer research, in our first meeting it was his kindness and exceptional listening skills that really struck me. At the time, I was without insurance, and without any reflection he offered to be my GP since I didnt have one. I felt my entire body exhale, knowing that I finally had found my doctor. Since that time I have leaned on Dr. Taras countless times with various health issues (he always gets right back to me via email, even when hes on vacation!!!). One particular time because his schedule was full, Dr. Taras spent his lunch break draining a bartholin cyst (which had become excruciatingly infected). I mean that alone should have him well on his way towards canonization into sainthood, and it is something for which I will be grateful to him until my last day alive. I feel so safe with Dr. Taras on my side. In truth, I no longer live in California, but I still fly in to see Dr. Taras. Dr. Ian Taras is my doctor for about 30 years. I know him as a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable doctor who is available to help 24/7. Nowadays, especially, when many doctors practice telehealth and are avoiding seeing patients, dr. Taras’s office was open for patients during COVID time. Today, dr. Taras’s office is closed for holiday. However, when I emailed him about my needs, he immediately, and I mean it, organized prescription for me so I don’t have to suffer through the holidays. When my daughter, who does not live locally and is not a patient of his, had a scary abnormal blood test result, I emailed Dr. Taras late at night to ask for his recommendation for her care. I was seeking a doctor who focus is on women post child-bearing years. I found the perfect fit for me, right here in Woodland Hills! In this day of either/or medical care - either concierge or drive-through care, Dr. Taras is old-school fantastic. He is kind and caring, he listens well, and has a sense of humor that makes you feel like you are in on the joke, not part of the joke. His office staff is fantastic, too! They are on-point professionals. Dr. Taras is a rare find, especially in the Valley. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Taras is above and beyond wonderful. I had an issue over the holidays and he not only called back promptly to make sure I was doing alright, he also made a house call (who does that in this century?!!) when I was too sick to come into his office. Theres nothing worse than having a medical issue come up on a Friday evening. With most doctors you have to wait until Monday morning to even start the process of finding out whats wrong. Not with Dr. Taras.I recently emailed him with a question over the weekend and got an almost instant reply. We went back and forth a couple of times until he told me to be at his office at 9:30 a.m. Monday. What doctor does that!?!?! Once I got there Dr. Taras took the time to thoroughly read my chart, offer some great advice and alleviate my anxiety. You could not find a more caring and kind doctor. And, I have to mention, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE does a better job with a pap smear. I cant say enough good about Dr. Taras!

I first started seeing Dr. Taras in 2004 and over the years he has become the opinion that I treasure most regarding my health. He is honest and caring - traits I feel that Obamacare have chased away. He is so thorough and smart, I cant say enough wonderful things about this man! He delivered all of my cousins kids, his father was my mothers OB/GYN - hes just the real deal. If you are at all on the fence about seeing this man, DONT! I first met Dr. Taras in the delivery room during the delivery of my cousins first of four babies. He has since retired from OB care but he is still a strong force for our gynecological care. I was so moved by how genuine he was at the hospital that I decided to see him for my regular check ups. He is very thorough and makes what is an uncomfortable/awkward thing to do every year a breeze. After he learned that my father had just passed away after a massive stroke he suggested I be screened genetically for that gene. I definitely have it and at 34 yrs old he advised me of my risks and how to avoid my fathers fate. He is an amazing person with the compassion and understanding to get a patient through any challenge. AND his fundraising efforts for the Annual Revlon Walk or Run for Ovarian and Breast Cancer Research put big industries like Disney, Macys etc....in the dust. Take a look at all the years he has gotten hundreds of people to join his team year after year raising now over a half a million dollars towards an incredible cause. Definitely choose him as your physician. His capacity to take care of your health is the best and his staff is amazing too!

Dr. Taras is a wonderful doctor! Ive been going to him for 13 years since I was pregnant with my first son (whom he delivered.) His office is calming and quiet, and he doesnt overbook patients which means he actually SEES his patients within 10-15 minutes of the appointment time!Hes a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients WHOLE-istically; he understands medical care is not just a one-size-fits-all prescription. He stays up to date on new procedures and alternatives, natural and synthetic, and takes the individual into account before recommendations are made. He has always educated me with what he knows and what my choices are, and then fully supports me in whatever decision I make. I guess one thing that makes him such a great doctor is that he knows he doesnt have all of the answers! I feel I get to be a partner in my health which is exactly as it should be.

What a great feeling to have a Doctor that will answer an email on the weekend when you are scared and in pain. Dr. Taras has shown that he will gothe extra mile, will spend the time to look over your entire record so nothing is missed and will come to treatment plans that fit with your wishes as well as his recommendations. Dr. Taras is alway there when you need him. I had an issue over the weeked that required a perscription and he returned my email quickly and helped me solve my medical issue. He makes you feel comfortable, he is gentle and makes you laugh. As much as I hate going to a gyno (you know how it is ladies..:).....) I actually look forward to my next visit. Ive also never found a doctor who took me seriously when it came to my BV condition and he worked with me to make things right. I honestly cant believe how great I feel since Ive seen him. I want to keep him forever!!

I have been going to Dr. Taras for 23 years now. He is by far the BEST doctor ever!!! He always takes the time to listen to you and tries to help you anyway he can. If you email a question he will get right back to you. Thanks for everything!!!!

Well its all been said.... About a thousand times apparently! If there was a reward for a doctor with an absolutely perfect score, Dr. T earns it! I just looked through the reviews and cant see any thing but 5stars! My experience with him is no different. You will leave his office with more information than you can put in your purse, you will leave with a calm and peace even in the most difficult and stressful situations, with a good laugh, and always with a hug. I would give anything to have him in TN. Or find some one with a fraction of care and caring that he and his staff give. Im better for knowing him and having that as a perfect dr. Patient experience- however now Im RUINED! And lost with out him here in Nashville.

Not many doctors wear the title DOCTOR as well as Dr. Taras does.From professionalism, to knowledge, advice, recommendations, care, sympathy, the best in the field.You walk in the door and you are greeted like family, great stuff.Highly recommended

As you could see I was really in a state of panic.. thank you for being there for me..thank you for making me feel I matter.. I know that sounds funny but it is an overwhelming feeling yougive to us your patients.. I am humbled and grateful for your caring and help today..Hopefully this night I can finally get some sleep.. it has been quite a few day since I have..I have made the appointments for all three tests. They could not fit me in until Friday 15th. I did go with your suggestion (four seasons) I amin a fragile state and feel there would be a better fit once you told me about them.. thank you..Normally I am the rock so I am way out of my comfort zone emotionally..Humbled and grateful..

I just got off the phone with Kelly I will say I’ve never been here so can’t vouch for their services but the customer service was amazing, they didn’t take my insurance but unlike most offices who would just say no and hung up she took the time to refer me and give me the contact info on another gyno that would!!!! I mean that alone says a lot!!! Thank you guys for truly caring:) two thumbs up and toes too !!!!

I was looking to make an appt as a first time patient because of all the great reviews. Called yesterday and today with no answer. Left a message yesterday. And no one has gotten back to me. Guess I’ll go elsewhere
