Charnpal Mangat, M.D

I 100% recommend Dr. Mangat. I was referred to him because of a large mass that needed to be surgically removed. I was very nervous as it all happened so fast. He was so kind, patient and knowledgeable every step of the way. He visited me daily in the hospital and always made sure I was being taken care of properly. If you’re looking for someone who treats you like a person not just a customer this is the place.

First experience in 2022, this doctor is by far the best in town. I have referred 2 of my sisters and they are both pleased with his services!..6/2024 Update: Another pregnancy and we will be taking our care to this doctor, highly recomended.

I definitely reccomend Dr Mangat. He delivered both my twin babies, and I wouldnt have it any other way. Hes professional, caring and the best at what he does.

Ive been to dr mangat for both of my pregnancies and i love this office. He answered all my questions and concerns.

Had a terrible experience with Dr. Mangat and would not recommend. First we never got the results of our second twin, only one of them. He wouldnt take the time to check for us when we dropped off the lab results. Then we waited for weeks to get our appointment for an ultrasound, hoping to get the second gender, but he barely took a look before saying they were moving too much. Like, you couldnt wait another 30 seconds and even try? Wouldnt take pictures because of movement. Had zero concept this is our first pregnancy and we are having twins. We werent worried about the quality of the photo. Thanks for your 37 seconds of time today. So glad Im going to someone else from now on.

I have been going to this doctor for 2 or 3 years now.Every time I have gone for a visit, he listens to my complaint and explains things in an easy to understand way.My insurance company did not approve a procedure and he called them and advocated for me and my health then helped me with the process to get the procedure approved.

Very knowledgeable and accepted me as a patient over 30 weeks pregnant. By far the best out of the three other obgyns I had seen previously. Delivered my son who is now 16 months and thriving. He is very straight forward when presenting options and best outcomes, which I appreciated during labor.

Dr. Mangat is a wonderful OBGYN. I’m so thankful I chose him to deliver my first baby! He is very knowledgeable and takes time to answer all of your questions! All of his staff is great too…they are very kind and helpful!My baby was on the bigger side and he made sure I wouldn’t go too far over my due date and helped give me the safest delivery! I also appreciate his calm demeanor when it comes to any worries you have.Grateful to have found him as an OBGYN and will use him in the future for all my OBGYN needs.

The best Doctor in town hands down! He is very respectful with your choices and treats all his patients with kindness. He reassured and informed me of all my options while delivering and made my birth experience enjoyable. Would recommend to any and everyone.

This doctor is amazing and has treated both my pregnant fiancé and I very well. When he comes into the room he always shakes my hand and asks me how I’m doing too. Very thorough and takes his time to explain things to my fiancé. I’m very glad he will be delivering my first born and we both feel very safe in his hands. He is also very respectful and helps his patients up from a laying to sitting position. He has all his patients best interests at heart for sure!

After the awful experience I had with my last OB provider, I knew I HAD to find a different OB for my second pregnancy. I’m so so soooo thankful and grateful I found Dr. Mangat and his office. All of the staff are so kind and welcoming. Dr. Mangat is truly a great provider. He is always kind, patient, and answers all your questions thoroughly. I’m a super anxious person, but Dr. Mangat and his staff always made me feel so comfortable! You can tell he truly cares about his patients and the care they receive. He was wonderful to me during my c-section and came to see me each day of recovery which my last provider never did. I 100000% recommend Dr. Mangat to all my friends/family needing gynecological care! :)

Dr. Mangat is such an amazing doctor! He made me feel very comfortable throughout my first pregnancy experience. He’s amazing at answering all questions you have along with keeping you informed with any information needed. He also did an amazing delivery! I didn’t tear or anything with him and the nurses help and he got to the hospital very quick and didn’t waste no time. I would recommend Dr. Mangat to all my friends and family.

Dr. Mangat took me in as a patient halfway through my first pregnancy after I relocated from Phoenix, and he was absolutely incredible! He was thorough at every appointment, and his staff was so sweet. He was quick to get to Memorial Hospital when I was in labor, and made sure the hospital staff treated me well. I cannot recommend Dr. Mangat enough!!

The DISGUST that this man is projecting is shameful and dishonorable to his patient, I had to edit my first review and now update his horrible and unethical behavior, my clients had a longer than normal labor and this doctor shaming first time parents telling them that after 65 hours of labor she should have been a c-section although her and baby were completely fine with absolutely no complications nor fevers after the water had been ruptured for some time.He had the audacity to go and to her postnatally and say, you should have never hired a doula and next time dont get one....wait what? First off Dr., it was the hospital that allowed my client to labor that long with the waters broken, two to tell a patient not to hire a support person is a RED FLAG, you sir showed absolutely no bed side manner and shamed a young couple whom you did not even care for as a Medical CARE provider, you telling parents that had a successful and empowering and fully supported birth with their Doula, is why I will highly never suggest anyone use you as their medical shameful provider, why?Because instead you actually caring for the patient you told her, her stitches were fine now and she can actually check out of the hospital (which she experienced some concerning discomfort) and you told her you dont know why she is staying still at the hospital is UNETHICAL of you!I had a previous experience with you over 6 times and youve become even more and more uncollaborative and unethical.STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR, HORRIBLE ADVICE to tell a patient to go home and check out of the hospital not even 6 hours postpartum with your horibble stitching!Nikki Avila- Bakersfield Doula

I am forever grateful and thankful for Dr Mangat!! I saw him for my pregnancy, which was also my first. I was a high risk patient due to high BP. Dr Mangat was always very attentive and made sure to monitor my BP and baby closely. I always felt very comfortable and sure that I was in good hands. Once I hit 36 weeks, he induced me and I gave birth to a healthy baby boy! 😁 What was supposed to be a C-section (which I did not at all want) was able to be a vaginal birth all thanks to him!! I seriously don’t believe I could’ve had a better doctor! A huge thank you to him and his amazing staff!

I was told I couldn’t be seen from other OB physicians because I was over 12 weeks(high risk). Fortunately, they were able to provide care for me. I am lucky to have found such a great OBGYN for my first pregnancy. I felt welcomed and comfortable. The office wait time was not long. I felt all my questions and concerns were addressed. I 100% recommend Dr. Mangat!

I switched to Dr. mangat at almost 20weeks pregnant & thankfully they still took me in as a new patient! Best decision ive ever made!! This was my 2nd pregnancy & by far the BEST OB. Hes so attentive, caring & patient. Will answer any questions big or small & at the same time make you feel so comfortable. Delivery & after was so easy going & he was there every step of the way, before & after my c-section!

I had a history of problematic ovarian cysts, debilitating pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding with various doctors making me feel like the pain I had was in my head. Both Dr Mangat’s took the time to listen and explain what was going on.Husband Dr. Mangat performed surgery that solved my problem. I feel like I have my life back! I can’t say enough about how professional both he and his wife are! They have earned life long patients from me AND my daughters! It’s hard finding great gynecologists in Bakersfield so these two are diamonds in the rough!!!

I wasnt very pleased after my first visit here, so I changed doctors.The doctor was nice, but these are cons I didnt care for.-the office smelled extremely strong like wall plug-ins which was very bothersome in my first trimester.-The doctor doesnt explain what will be happening in the appointment.- For those that like to have a doctor tell you when they are going to touch you and for what purpose. I did not feel very comfortable.(My new doctor tells me clearly that shes going to touch me and why BEFORE she does it.)

Dr. Mangat is the best OB in town I would know from experience. If it werent for him at around 28 weeks my son could have had serious complications and also if he hadnt gotten me induced early I could have lost my son. So a huge thank you to Dr. Mangat and his amazing staff!

My current OBGYN has been out of office my entire pregnancy and had another doctor filling in. As I showed up to my weekly 1030 am appointment last week, being nearly 39 weeks, to my surprise it is yet another different doctor than the one covering for my original, I meet Dr Mangat. Jokingly I requested to be induced and amazingly, with complete seriousness, he just told me to “undress from the waist down, we’re stripping the membrane.”Immediately I told him no wait I’m just kidding but for health reasons I’m sure he started my process and not 24 hours after meeting him he is delivering my baby girl!I’m sure he intended to have me induced regardless but being the ONLY doctor, my regular OBGYN for my last 2 pregnancies included, didn’t hesitate to say yes and do as I asked right then and there.I HIGHLY recommend Dr Mangat and will now be requesting to become an actual patient of his.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I am new patient of Dr Mangat. And I have to say he is beyond amazing!!! Every need that I had or questions when I came for my prenatal appointments was super helpful and gave me amazing advice! Once I gave birth to baby girl, he was there every step of my labor. If anyone needs an amazing, caring and helpful OBGYN MD, Dr.Mangat is beyond your expectations an amazing doctor!

I highly recommend Dr.Mangat as your OB/GYN. He is soft spoken and listen to you seriously even if your concerns aren’t that serious. He always replies you instantly when you have questions. My pregnancy starts normal but in last trimester I had complications. He took great care of me and I delivered my baby healthy. I’m so grateful.

Hello, I rate this facility and staff and OB a 10/10. They are efficient with any questions or concerns you may have. As for delivery he was there, and ready. & checked up prior delivery. Also, calm and understanding as this is my first baby. They care about their patients as a unit. Greatly appreciate everything they have done.

Dr. Mangat is fantastic. I had surgery with him due to having an ovarian cyst.Because This was my first time needing surgery or even having something this extreme I had several questions. I asked him questions before and after surgery. He always sat down patiently and answered my questions. I also was very afraid. He made me feel safe before surgery and after surgery. I would really recommend Dr. Mangat.

Wonderful Doctor! Listens to all my concerns and followed our birth plan perfectly! Not to mention that he is loved by everyone who works with him! His wife, also an OB/GYN, is also very kind and helpful!

Dr Mangat took me as a new patient at over 20 weeks of pregnancy because I had just moved. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. I liked that he was very hands onso I highly recommend him.

The OB in town and I have seen plenty! He listens so well and truly cares about his patients! He will never treat you like just another patient. He remembered me by name every appointment and constantly reassured any concerns I had. I will never go anywhere else and will refer all my friends here!

Seems like Ive gone through so many doctors that dont listen to me. Dr. Mangat actually heard my concerns and told me we can fix my issues. I never delivered my babies with him but I wish I would have.

I LOVE Dr. Charnpal Mangat.A little background. I had struggled with insurance for a while which made it so that I couldnt go in to see my other obgyn and get prenatal care. Things FINALLY got sorted out when I was over 20 weeks pregnant. They (my other obgyn who deliver my other two kids) would no longer take me because I was now considered high risk. To clarify, I wasnt a high risk Pregnancy, I was called that only because they hadnt been able to do any testing on me earlier in my Pregnancy and they didnt want to deal with it I guess??Anyway, dr. Charnpal Mangat took me on as a new patient. And I couldnt BELIEVE the difference. I no longer felt like a number!. The waiting time in the office was minimal. He always asked me if I had any questions and would answer them thouroughly. He went through my lab results and explained them to me and what they meant. I left every appointment feeling better. He was/is amazing. I wish I could give 10Stars. My only regret us that I didnt find him sooner so that he could have delivered my other kids. I dont plan on having any more kids now, but Im definitely going to stay will him for all of my other gynocologist needs.

Idk How this Doctor is but Im looking to change my doctor && The office told me they do not take in Women over 21 weeks. Bummer. So If you have a BAD Dr that youre trying to get away from. Coming here wont help.

Dr Mangat and his assistant Chelsea took care of me very well, highly recommended. Fast appointments and great communication with Dr 24 hours a day.

He was the only OBGYN that would see my daughter the same day as a new patient. He also explained everything and answered all questions, also took his time with her.

He’s an okay doctor, if he feels like what your concerned about isn’t serious he won’t take it serious and most visits he’s just trying to hurry up the process and get you out of there.
