I am a patient undergoing IVF treatment at SRM. Although my treatment is not yet complete, I must commend my CareTeam nurse, Nikki Rey, with many, many praises! She is incredibly patient and professional!Due to personal arrangements, I have been working with Nikki for about a year now. IVF is a highly stressful process, and my mood often mirrors the weather in Washington state, with many cloudy days. However, every time I receive a message or a call from Nikki, my mood brightens up as if the sun has come out. Her gentle reminders and professional suggestions, or the information she provides, make me feel like I have a true friend who cares for me within SRM, rather than just a medical professional-patient relationship. With regards to all my concerns and worries, after communicating that Nikki with my Dr. , she arranges examination(if necessary) and always explains some pathology knowledge in a way that I can understand, alleviating my worries.Theres a phrase nurse like an angel that I didnt quite agree with before, because comparing a job to an angel seemed unreasonable to me. However, after encountering my nurse Nikki at SRM, I finally understand the meaning of this phrase!Thank you, Nikki, I am so happy and fortunate to have met you! You know that you are the best :)

I spent most of 2022 interacting with this location while going through multiple fertility treatments. I cannot say enough about Dr. Criniti, Paige (my care coordinator) the NPs, MAs and front staff here. They run on time, they provide you with information along the way in a caring and thoughtful way, and are easily reachable with questions through the patient portal. My eggs retrievals were as comfortable as they could be and I felt supported throughout. Would absolutely recommend for care in what can be a hard and emotionally challenging process.

The only positive experience I had here was the day of my surgery, the rest of my interactions with Dr Lin and his staff have been difficult. If you are only seeing Dr Lin for surgery, go for it. If you are looking for overall reproductive, fertility, or endometriosis care, I recommend you go elsewhere because you will experience endless communication problems with this group. The end to end experience with my surgery (endometriosis related) was great. Everyone involved was kind and helpful, much better than my previous experience getting this surgery with another group. This credit probably goes more to UW Northwest hospital staff, honestly.Otherwise, Dr Lin has terrible communication skills. He never remembered any info about my issues or care plan during appointments. Also hes bad at expressing empathy. One example: when I was expressing the side effects I was feeling from the new medication he prescribed - increased moodiness - he then turned to my husband and expressed his condolences. Nothing expressed to me, but to my husband instead for having to deal with MY side effects. The communication between staff seems to be awful as well. I had trouble scheduling appointments with them because the scheduling staff never knew what tests I needed for a particular appointment. They wouldnt consult the notes left from the nursing staff until I prompted them. And they canceled an appointment without consulting me because they forgot why I had it set up in the first place. I had to call them to put it back on the calendar and make them call their nursing staff to confirm.

Ive observed that people reserve their five-star reviews for when things go well. I understand why. However, Im going to write this based on my experience thus far.Im tempted to call out specific names, but instead Im going to talk about each team that Ive worked with as I think on a whole you are likely to have this experience whether it is Bellevue or Seattle location.Note: Bellevue can do blood tests and ultrasounds, but you need to go to the Seattle location for literally everything else.Scheduling/Appointments: when you call please be sure to dial the correct number to get transferred to the right team. One time I waited for 50 minutes to schedule an appointment because I clicked new patient instead of existing. Once youre matched with someone on the appointment team they ask really good questions, and if theyre not able to answer the specifics of appointments for you will make notes for the nursing team to respond as soon as possible. Theyre all very polite from what Ive experienced.Nursing: one of the things I love the most about the nursing team is how throughout this process they ask me how Im feeling, and I can tell that theyre not just checking in on my symptoms but also are genuinely interested with concern. They also seem to get along really well.Whether it was calling to check in with me, giving me follow-up messages and instructions, or actually being with me for appointments I always felt support and safe.Physicians: Ill be completely honest my preference is female physician when it comes to this particular area, not because I do not like male doctors but because their perception of the process is different because they literally cannot physically relate. For example, I did a procedure that was incredibly painful, and one of the male physicians recommended that I do it again because he didnt know exactly how painful it could be. That said all of the physicians will answer as many questions as you ask and stay on the call with you for as long as needed. Now this may not be so great when youre waiting for your appointment, but when youre that person who has a lot of questions it truly does make a difference.Anesthesiologist: The anesthesiologist I was assigned to seems to have a really good sense of humor, and had an energy of confidence and competence that I would be safe and that my heart and breathing would be monitored carefully throughout the procedure. I automatically trusted her having only met her once.Surgeon: I ended up with a male surgeon, which I experienced trepidation around for aforementioned reasons. However the way he introduced himself to me maintaining eye contact, going over the process in layman terms, and being gentle and encouraging when I expressed anxiety also made me feel a sense of trust. There was a Stern looking his eyes, but it wasnt from a domineering place rather a confident place. He said only what he thought was necessary and left room for questions but wanted to make sure we started on time which I appreciated.Phlebotomists: Ive worked with this team the most and Im going to be completely truthful with you. When the phlebotomist is a person of color, the likelihood of them checking for veins and finding a vein and drawing blood the first time is higher and more likely, in my experience. That said, my recommendation is to breathe through injections and drink lots of water before any blood draws (unless they tell you to fast),so you have a higher chance of not needing to be pricked more than once.Records: Ive only worked with via messages and they get back to me in a day or less, which is awesome. You dont just receive your records, you have to request them anytime you have an appointment. So after every appointment I reach out and theyve been okay with that so far.Billing: Billing will both call and send detailed info about whats covered & what isnt. Theyre very responsive. If you read this far, good for you.Im wishing you the very best on your journey and I hope that this review helps.Thank you, SRM team!

Fertility Patients with Transplant Related or Cancer related issues beware of this location. They have a Medical Assistant who tried to intimidate me this morning because I asked her to wear a mask when caring for me. My husband is a kidney transplant recipient, and I got sick during my last egg retrieval from someone at that clinic (couldve been a patient, thus I dont sit in the lobby if there are multiple people there) and had a failed retrieval. Since I want the best possible chances for my 5th round, I asked the staff caring for me to wear a mask. (I also wear a mask.) This Medical Assistant decided it was the time to give me a lecture about how she wanted to warn me that I have no right to ask any of the staff to wear a mask. When I stated I would bring it up with the manager, her intimidating tone continued with That wont do much. While I dont have any LEGAL standing, it seems hypocritical of SRM to be lobbying for Fertility Services to be considered essential care when they dont have clinic policies supporting essential care. I am fairly certain that no one at a Transplant Center or Cancer Institutes are giving patients the same lecture. In fact, as someone who has worked in healthcare for over 20 years and very well networked, I know that most clinics in the Seattle Metropolitan area support staff wearing masks upon patient request as a company policy, because these healthcare facilities are dedicated to the well being of their patient health outcomes. I thought SRM was the same, but apparently not at the Bellevue Location.

I teach Medical Ethics and come from being faculty at one of the top universities medical schools in the nation. I relocated to Bellevue and am looking for an IVF clinic for my stored embryos for a third child. I was disgusted to call this clinic and be told they have a BMI cut off for IVF transfer. This isn’t evidenced based medicine and I would question their entire foundation. I have two children from prior transfers at this same exact weight from top hospitals. Shame on you for discriminating against women in need.

I really liked SRM. They use an application for sending you information and answering questions. I really liked that they replied always immediately. In addition, they scheduled everything very fast, so I started my treatment right away without losing time. I did only two IUI and I got pregnant the second time. I plan to use their services again if I need fertility treatments. Also, their staff was always super nice and welcoming.

I loved my experience at SRM. Dr Thyer was able to help me get pregnant with twins after years of infertility and two losses. The surgery staff including Ruth and Catherine are the best surgery nurses ever. The Bellevue team including Ana, Katie and Tamra are incredible to work with and I highly recommend SRM!

I am grateful that SRM was my partner in my fertility process. I worked with Dr Lin and he and all the staff were realistic, respectful, transparent, and full of positive energy which helped me through the process. I am 40 years old, did 2 IUIs, 1 IVF cycle and am pregnant. SRM is organized so the information and processes are clear, they always would get back to me within the day I called and are efficient in their appointments which is a huge plus since fertility treatment is a big time commitment.

If I were rating solely on effectiveness, I would rate SRM a 5, as they got us pregnant within a year of our first consultation with them (and during a pandemic nonetheless)! Our doctor and nurse were excellent and the techs that help with blood testing and ultrasounds are all very sweet and attentive. The clinics are clean and comfortable and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable with the tools they use and the care they give. They also offer on-site acupuncture at the seattle location to help relieve stress, which I took advantage of and highly recommend! The only reason I have given 4 stars is because we experienced quite a bit of misunderstanding and some lack of clarity regarding expectations and on receiving test results in a timely manner throughout the process. We found ourselves frustrated on a couple of occasions because it didn’t feel as if there was a sense of urgency to relay test results and because the schedulers who were often in contact with were not usually privy to important information for scheduling. After vocalizing some of our concerns, however, the clinic director reached out to us personally to listen and did offer a lot of help. After this, we didn’t experience other issues.Overall, I highly recommend SRM - we are currently pregnant with twins after TTC for two years :)

We visited SRM after trying to conceive for two years. We worked with Dr. Criniti and her AMAZING nurse Jenna. However, during our time there we were seen by numerous doctors and nurses at all three locations. Our appointments were always on time and the staff always kind and reassuring. Also, the SRM nurses who do the blood draws are the BEST. Its not my favorite thing and with them I barely felt it. We completed one round of IVF and are now pregnant! I would highly recommend SRM!

The staff at the Bellevue SRM clinic are amazing from the girls at the front desk, to the nurses and doctors! If you have questions you can call or leave a portal message and a nurse will either call you back or write you back in a timely manner. The staff is compassionate, honest, knowledgeable, skilled and smart. I wished I went to SRM to see Dr. Paul Lin sooner!

For the last 4 years, I have fought infertility. 2 of those have been spent seeing Dr. Amy Criniti at SRM. The first time I went to SRM in Bellevue, I knew I was under that best care. It hasnt been an easy journey, but Dr. Criniti and the staff at both the Bellevue and Kirkland locations has been so helpful and kind through it all, including two miscarriages. I highly recommend Dr. Criniti and SRM.

My husband and I were patients at Seattle Reproductive Medicine in Bellevue for about 6 months. I loved the Nurse Practitioner (shout out to Tamera!) who did my Ultrasounds. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and knew exactly how much information was beneficial and never gave so much we felt scared or overwhelmed. Overall we were very happy with our doctor since she did a great job explaining our options and never pressured us towards a certain treatment (shout out to Amy!) I wasnt very impressed with the nurses I interacted with in person at the clinic. They seemed like they were overloaded with patients and didnt really know our case or plan. I dont blame them, Im sure they are very busy with all the patients they manage. We had great interactions with the women who managed billing at Bellevue and she helped us a lot to get insurance to pay for somethings. Unfortunately, our insurance didnt really cover infertility care.I was slightly frustrated with how set everyone seemed on the normal cycle length of 28 days. My cycles were longer 35-37 and I think that played significantly into our infertility issues but whenever I brought it up they didnt seem concerned. I also had a bad experience the last few visits because the front desk people at the Seattle location kept asking me to pay our bill in the office and I had already paid it by check in the mail. They didnt believe me and started becoming more aggressive like they werent going to let me follow through with the appointment unless I paid right then. Really made me mad because we had NEVER been late on any previous payments and we always paid them in full each month. I ended up giving in and paying for it when they became rude about it. Then went home and checked my bank account and it said they received the check and it had already been processed. So I couldnt cancel it. They said they would just credit it to my account but again since it was one of my last visits I never heard anything more of it. (The front desk people were very nice at the Bellevue location. I never had any problems with them regarding billing.)A little bit about our fertility story: we tried to get pregnant on our own for about 1.5 years. Then we tried clomid for 4-5 months with my regular OB without success. That is when we were referred to SRM. We tried just medication for about 3-4 months. Then we tried a round of IUI. All were not successful. We planned on doing more IUI but I was pretty devastated when the IUI didnt work I told the clinic we would take a month or two off. I was very happy they didnt hassle me about it and let me take the time off. The first month we didnt use any medication or treatments is when we got pregnant. I feel like SRM did a great job managing my pregnancy in the first 8 weeks. They monitored my blood work frequently and did 2 ultrasounds until they felt comfortable handing my case off to a regular OBGYN. We are 17 weeks pregnant today!***Update: A year later: SRM did refund my money, for when I paid twice, in the form of a check just this last week.
