Allison is amazing! I can’t recommend this practice enough. I was personally referred by a friend. The whole experience has been wonderful and easy…from the moment I scheduled with Russell (verifying insurance etc) to the first apt. I started going personally to manage pregnancy symptoms (nausea, fatigue, back pain etc) since 3 months and it has been so helpful. Allison is a very talented and nurturing acupuncturist. I have been getting treated by Allison for several years now and have seen an improvement in my health as a result! She gives a great treatment which provides me with healing and balance. I also enjoy the ambiance and comforting feel of the the space and all the good energy with Allison and Russell. This is my default location for acupuncture treatments. I go at least monthly and as often as every other week. Allison and her husband have become friends and I look forward to my appointments every single time. I leave their office feeling like a better human. They accept my insurance and I cant live without them. They have reduced my stress level by more than I can quantify. If your arent sure about accupuncture or think its only for injuries, its not. Try it. The amazing ability to heal you physically and mentally is profound.

I started going to Allison for acupuncture treatments about 6 months ago and am so glad I did! Even after the first treatment I noticed significant improvements. I started to see Allison for chronic headaches and sinus issues. From the first visit she was incredibly warm and welcoming and I could immediately tell how compassionate and educated she is about acupuncture. Prior to my visit today I had never done accupuncture so I have to admit I was nervous going into it. I felt comfortable from the moment I called and talked to Russell to make my first appointment. After only a few minutes of talking to Allison and discussing my concerns with her I instantly knew I made the right decision visiting her clinic. She put me very much at ease and she walked me through every step of the way. You can tell she genuiennly cares about her patients and wants whats best for us. The space is very clean, calming and welcoming (Kennedy there dog adds the PERFECT touch). I just started seeing Allison because of lower back pain and anxiety about three weeks ago. After only two sessions of acupuncture and talking to her about my health and what I wish to improve, I already feel so much more balanced with myself and my emotions! I would also like to add my pain decreased immensely in my back, making it easier for me to do yoga! I was so impressed with her knowledge, how beautiful and clean her studio is, and how passionate she is to help others manage pain and their overall health. Allison is a fantastic acupuncturist! She is attentive to your needs, listens to all of your concerns, answers questions thoughtfully and is extremely talented at both acupuncture and cupping. When I moved to Massachusetts I was very nervous to find a good acupuncturist that was comparable to the one i was going to in Maine. Allison, however, has met all of my needs and been a wonderful help to my overall health.

Allison has worked wonders for me! After every tune-up, I feel clear, focused and aligned. Ive found that after only seeing Allison for a few months, Im able to recognize her assistance in my overall health as well as work/life balance. Allison is incredible! From my initial consult, I knew I was in good hands. I have complex health issues and have seen tons of different practitioners (including other acupuncturists) for treatments. I had a hip replacement that left me with painful swelling long after I should have fully recovered. I was prescribed traditional medical treatments including physical therapy and aspiration. There was no improvement months later and it was interfering with my work.I decided to try an alternative treatment. After some research I settled on acupuncture and then a provider. Allison at North Shore Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine concentrated on the hard swelling and broke it down with acupuncture and herbs to eliminate the pain. She also helped with neck and back pain at the same time. Allison took my whole health into account.I highly recommend Allison’s treatment. The procedure is painless and the atmosphere relaxing. Dr. Allison, as my daughter calls her, is great. She is warm and wonderful with kids. I truly believe that the acupuncture my daughter started with Allison reset her system and allowed her condition to completely improve (acupuncture coupled with western medicine) . I never considered acupuncture and this location is far for us. However, Allison has such a great rapport with my daughter, I wouldnt see anyone else.

When I found out my baby was breech, I urgently looked for an acupuncturist who was familiar with techniques for flipping breech babies. Russel, the office manager was incredibly helpful, assured me that Allison was familiar with those techniques and could also help with moxibustion, and got me an appointment ASAP. Allison was fantastic, indeed worked to flip my baby, and helped ensure I had a comfortable and relaxed rest of the pregnancy. I am so grateful!

I went to see her at 39 weeks to help move things along and prep for labor, and she could not have been more wonderful.
