Vanita Patel, MD

I have been seeing Dr Patel since I was a teenager. She has always been great with my yearly appointments and any testing or issues I had.Within this last year she handled my high risk pregnancy and delivered my daughter via emergency c section. She was on top of everything and got us through it as safely as possible.

Dr. Vanita Patel, and her staff were wonderful! Everyone made you feel at home and comfortable!Dr. Patel, herself, was kind, gentle, and very informative and really listened to any concerns! I would recommend her practice highly!

Dr. Patel is excellent and the staff is great, have been with this office for years. She cares about you as a person, she doesn’t rush your appointment.

Everyone was so nice from making the appointment to the time I checked in at the front desk and the entire time I was there. Jenny the medical assistant spent a lot of time with me as a new patient gathering all my information and it was nice to hear her personal side of things about life in general. Dr. Vanita Patel , and the staffs are warm and caring , checking in was fast, checking in was fast . The waiting time was a little long for a scheduled appointment . May be it just happened for some patients special needs for the day .

Dr. Patel is an excellent doctor. She safely delivered my first child recently and I am very happy I chose her. I had a very long and difficult labor and I am very gateful I had her as my doctor. I knew I could trust her to take care of me and my baby and thats exactly what she did.

Although I only see Dr Patel once a year, I feel she genuinely cares about me. And remembers me. To me having a relationship with your doctor is so important.

Dr. Vanita is an excellent doctor. She’s very professional & shows excellent bedside manner …she also delivered my son I’m very pleased with her service and would recommend her to every women I know !!

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Vanita Patel for the first time after my gynecologist retired. I must say, this visit exceeded my expectations! Dr. Patel is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. In addition, her personality immediately puts you at ease. She takes her time, listens, explains things, and cares about her patients. I left feeling I was blessed to find Dr. Patel.

My initial visit was the week of 3/27/2023. Staff were courteous and professional both on the phone and at the office. My wait time in the waiting room was short. Dr. Patel was very professional and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and relaxed for the procedure. She explained everything and listened to my concerns. I am favorably impressed and glad that it was such a smooth transition to a new practice since I moved to Ocean County. My previous records and test results were obtained by the office once I signed consent and were available by my first visit.

Dr. Patel is an excellent physician. She delivered my son in a snow storm and has been my OBGYN for over a decade. She had a wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend!

Finally courage to leave a bad review because it’s time. I’m 20 weeks postpartum with my first born. I can honestly say my labor and delivery experience has given me enough trauma to never go through it again. I regret every second I didn’t search for a bigger practice with more than one doctor and one that actually cared. I gave birth on a Saturday morning at 4am after days of induction and hours and hours of labor. Doctor no where to be found and a nurse giving me cervical checks. After 2+ hours of pushing my baby came out forehead first. Her heart rate was going low and low and no one was doing any interventions to help us! Dr Patel should have been the one to do my last cervical check maybe then they would have known my baby’s positioning! My baby has been through SO much since then. I haven’t felt right since my body is destroyed and I don’t think my body was ready for a natural delivery and I explained to the nurses multiple times that something wasn’t right and if I can opt for a c section WHICH I should of gotten. I’m lucky my baby is alive but it has NOT been easy. I had such a good “normal” pregnancy so no one took me seriously. I wish I could go back in time and go to a different practice.

Had only one visit so far but it was a pleasant one. Staff is very friendly and Dr. Patel listens and shows interest in your needs/concerns.

Ive been going to VANITA PATEL, MD, for several years. She is gentle, knowledgeable and proactive.Dr. Patel LISTENS to the patient and is responsive. She provides useful information a helpful way. Her staff is efficient and reassuring. They set the stage. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Vanita Patel &recommend her.She is also an obstetrician.

Had a wonderful experience at Dr. Patels office today. It was my first visit to her and had found her through reviews online. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. The staff was all friendly and professional. I have been to other Obgyns and she was by far the best. I didnt have a long wait in the main office or room. Dr. Patel was excellent, she was highly professional and gave me a well rounded visit in a timely fashion.

Dr. Patel delivered my second child. She was great throughout my pregnancy. Always got back to me when I called with a concern. The birthing experience was great with her too. And I was referred by a friend who had both of her children delivered by Dr Patel and loved her.Update 2024: just here to say she is still a wonderful doctor who I truly trust with my health.

The practice is immaculate and very high tech. Probably one of the nicest doctor offices I’ve been to. Dr. Patel was kind and helpful for the couple of visits I went to. She doesn’t deliver out of JS unless you’re high risk, which is why I chose to switch doctors.I personally didn’t like the policy of results only being available to the patient after seeing the doctor in person. Other offices upload them to the portal straight away to ease your mind as a newly pregnant woman.

Dr. V is very gentle in talking makes you feel comfortable….listen to me well.

The receptionists were very friendly and the nurse I had, Danielle, was so sweet and funny. She helped me to relax before I saw Dr. Patel. Dr. Patel was very nice and did a wonderful job at answering all my questions and making me feel at ease. Thank you to everyone for what you do for the community and for always being bubbly. Dr. Patel and her staff are wonderful! I have 3 children and Dr. Patel has delivered all of them. Throughout all of my pregnancies, my health and the health of my children, were her top priority. She has been warm, comforting and knowledgeable since day one..The staff are down to earth and genuine. They always take the time to ask about my children and go above and beyond what they need to do. They always make me feel like I am more than just another patient.. Highly recommend Dr. Patel!

Im 75 years old and Dr Patel didn’t mind me asking questions. Going to this practice makes me feel I’m going to the right doctor. She is friendly and very knowledgeable. Glad I chose this practice when I moved here a year ago.

I was quite nervous before my visit, but was met by a friendly front desk and a Medical Assistant that made me feel so much better. Doctor was very professional and I felt like I got all of my questions answered. Can warmly recomend Atlantic OB/Gyn.

New to the area and looking for good doctors. Pretty sure I found them here. Organized, efficient, clean and comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Patel was easy to speak to and actually listened instead of being rushed, which is all we can ask for so that we can ask important questions! So far so good!

My experience was great i was very nervous but staff was nice and made me feel comfortable, office was very clean. Informative and helpful. Thank you, I very much appreciate it.Unfortunately, I had an annoying call with one of them today thus the -2. They said they couldnt help me if I didnt know why left me the voicemail. I had to hang up and listen to the voice mail again just for there not to be a name left. I called back and explained even though she tried to cut me off and then she helped me.... waste of time

I had to switch doctors due to my previous dr. not having the hours to work out with my schedule. I have been there twice and I find the staff and dr.patel herself nice people to interact with after a long day of myself dealing with patients. Dr. Patel herself is very informative and puts your mind at ease with issues you might have. Overall a good vibe office which is exactly what I was looking for!

Dr. Patel failed me as her patient. Due to her negligence I ended up having a stillbirth at 39 weeks. I came in for my 37th appointment with 2 mask on. I explained I had a sore throat, she tried to send me home. After 5 mins she decided to see me. After the visit she told me to come back in 2 weeks and gave me a prescription to get covid tested. After I questioned her about coming back in 2 weeks, all she said was yes 2 weeks. My 38th week appointment was missed due to her. When I went back for my 39th week appointment, my baby had no heartbeat. But it gets worse after I decided to give birth that day. I still had to wait until 5pm to be induced. There was no urgency at all My doctors appointment was at 11 that morning. I will never go back to her.

I have been going to this office for two years now. The staff suck point blank, but I do feel the Doctor is very good. I also had a surgery done by her and though the surgery went well, I never got a call from her staff the following day to check up on me or to even make a follow up appt. I honestly feel her staff is the biggest problem in this office. Not sure if this review helps, just wanted to be honest.

I had a great experience with her . I love her she was so nice and took good care of me .. My old doctor told me I couldnt have kids ever again and Dr Patel said thats not true. She always made sure I was fine and she put me on high risk . I had a C section and she made sure everything went well.

Went in for a follow up visit from my first exam from 2 weeks ago. I was early for my appointment I had jobs to be at and waiting area empty. Two women and a baby came in after me, was taken in first and I had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. I was also charged another $50 Copay for results that could have been given over the phone or mailed. Not happy and will not be returning!

This was my first time at the office for a 2nd opinion. Everyone was very nice. Dr. Patel listened to my concerns & took the time to explain what was going on and a treatment plan. I’m very happy with my experience & will be switching to this office

I went to this clinic for 2-3 times. The Doctor didnt seem to care. She didnt proactively educate me. I had to ask the whole time, despite that I have already given her my concern and experience. The staff didnt seem happy with their job neither. No follow up from this clinic as well. Just not a great overall experience.

Always nerve-racking when you switch from an office that you went to for over 30 plus years, having moved too far had to find a new doctor and I cannot be happier with the doctor, the staff, the office were all exceptional, everyone made me very comfortable everybody was pleasant I Totally recommend Dr Vanita Patel !

Dr Patel delivered my baby and I can honestly say I have never been so angry at a doctor for what she has put me through. I was given an episiotomy without my consent, without any medical reason, even though I expressly said I did not want one. I was not given the opportunity to decline it. She told me after she did it. Not only that, but she did a terrible job repairing it. When I told her something was not right she dismissed me, made me feel like I was crazy and suggested I use lube when I have sex. I dont have a perinium. I am left with permanent numbness and various other issues and need to have reconstructive surgery just so I can feel like a normal woman. She delivered a healthy child but she did not deliver a healthy mother. I am emotionally devastated. I feel like I was the victim of a crime.

We wanted an OBGYN closer to home so we switched to Dr. Patels office. She walked into the room and it was obvious and clear she didnt even read my wifes chart. After about three minutes of meeting her she starts talking about miscarriage rates. That was enough for us. Save yourself the aggravation and go to a doctor who actually cares about your pregnancy.

This place is really great the staff Vanita I always feel welcomed and comfortable. The people here take their time and shows they care my sister recommended this place to me and I would definitely recommend it to others. Never had a bad experience. Good vibes

They try to hold my lab results they demad me to get another apoitment and pay money my results are negative they could tell me is negative thats all i wanted. My sister said they have no right to hold it and than they right away gave it to me. They acted like they was confused i clearely said iwant me lab results. S

She just wants your co-pay. She doesnt spend the time to get to know you and see how you are doing. You really have to ASK QUESTIONS in order for her to stay an extra 1 minute in the room with you.

I was seen rather quickly. My exam was quick and simple and I left with no issues. Everyone was friendly.
