Maiden Lane Medical Bay Ridge

Facility was clean. I was concerned about parking in the area. It is a residential zone so there are plenty of parking. Staff was cordial. Dr. FLEARY took her time me. She did not rush the visit. Explained every procedure before executing it in a pleasant tone.

First time seeing Dr Fleary and the visit was more than I could ever have imagined. She was thorough, kind, caring and made me feel totally at ease. I would recommend her 100%.

One of the best medical visits I ever experienced! The environment was clean, organized, and welcoming. Every single staff person was polite and helpful but Dr. Flearly was beyond amazing! She was very patient, informative, and did her absolute best to make me comfortable. She really proved she cared about my health. 20/10 highly recommend!

NP Gillian was great. All staff was very friendly and welcoming. Very thorough and made me feel all the boxes were checked off when I left. Love that so thank u to the team @ the bay ridge location :)

Probably shouldnt have a Zocdoc page if all the info on it is inaccurate. My appointment was rescheduled via voicemail, while I continued to get confirmation emails and texts. When I showed up, I was told that the provider I had selected couldnt even do the service I needed (despite zocdoc specifically confirming this), and apparently they dont keep the thing I needed in stock so I have to order it and wait several weeks.I really wanted this done today and would have chosen another provider if I knew this in advance. It would have been simple to reschedule on the platform I had made the appointment on.

Dr Alexandra Fleary is a wonderful, patient Knowledgeable physician. I felt completely at ease with her. She has the human touch n a great bedside manner in addition to being a smart physician.

Maiden Lane Medical is absolutely wonderful! The doctors and staff made my pregnancy an amazing and positive experience all around! Dr Jill delivered my son safely and I am forever thankful for her. Dr Jill’s knowledge and bedside manner is top tier!

First of all, the doctor I see at Maiden lane is great! No complaints there. My problem is with billing. First of all, they ask for your credit card instead of just letting you pay you co pay right there. Secondly they charge you a copay later on on your credit card or send you a bill for a $20 copay instead of $10. My insurance said I owe them $10. I don’t like that they are being sketchy. I work in the healthcare field as well and I will not be returning to Maiden lane. I can’t trust a healthcare center with my health when they are sketchy with billing.

I have been a major supporter of Maiden Lane Medical, and have referred a lot of my friends to go to Maiden Lane for their annual. It is walking distance from where I live, and you are always greeted with a friendly staff, nurses, and most importantly doctors with a good bedside manner.It was not until recently, when I am going more frequently that I notice issues with billing and charges that were unauthorized on my account. I went in for a visit on the date of Feb 6th, 2024, and was billed for the office visit, lab work, and another charge for testing (completely fine, understandable, you should always pay for a service received). I received a phone call on Feb 9th, 2024 containing the results from my Feb 6th, 2024 visit. I proceeded to pay for the bill using the portal, and didnt think much of it. A couple of days later, I received the detail bill in the mail, I noticed I was charged for a office visit instead of a Telecall for the call on Feb 9th, 2024. I called the offices, and they acknowledged the error, and said they would send out a correction to insurance. I called billing today March 15th, 2024 and was informed insurance denied the claim, after speaking to insurance they said they never denied the claims, they just requested for additional notes from the call. Nevertheless situation is still not resolved, and will have to call back on Monday.Other issue, I did not provide a credit to the office during any of my visits to Maiden Lane, and have always paid my bills using the portal. I noticed today there was a charge on my credit card. I tried to go into the office and spoke to billing today to have my credit card information removed, and was told they would try their best, and would notify me next time before my card is charged. I do not understand why it would be a whole process for them to remove the credit card on file.I hated that I had to write this post, because overall the staff goes above and beyond. If going to Maiden Lane you have to keep a close eye on the bills you receive to make sure you are properly charged.

First time that I visited a medical professional that actually cared to discuss my health with me. I came for my regular check up and saw Jillian Scott and she was just very informative, discussed my options and provided clarity. I really felt listened to, cared for and she took her time with me. It was amazing to be in a doctors office where they actually care for you. Check in was easy and quick and minimal wait time. That’s what you call a great medical practice. I had a great experience at Maiden Lane. It was my first visit the front desk staff were welcoming and attentive. I felt like I’ve been a patient there forever. The doctor was chill and had a gentle vibe. I’ve never had a woman GYN before so I wasn’t sure how I would feel. She was gentle, soft spoken and by the end of my visit I decided this is where I will be until she retires. Thank you Maiden Lane for giving me new place for comfort. Dr. Heather Jones and her team is truly awesome.

Dr. Jones is the best doctor I’ve ever been to in my 32 years of life. She really listened to all my concerns, I did not feel judged for anything and she was proactive in finding the solution. She is clear in her directions and patient in her explanation. The office staff was also nice and friendly. I did not wait to be seen for my appointment. Everything was right on time. I’m so thankful!

I was very pleased to find Dr. Jones through ZocDoc. Even more pleased when I realized the office was walking distance from my house! The office staff were all pleasant! Dr. Jones listened to my concerns, and had a very solid response. She was also encouraging, unlike most doctors when it comes to woman over a certain age contemplating pregnancy. I was grateful to have found her!

WORST experience ever. I never write reviews, good or bad, but there were so many things that went wrong with this office that I had to write this (this review applies to Maiden Lane Medical in general, not just this location).I went for an annual exam, and then was scheduled for two different ultrasound appointments.1. Nurse couldnt draw my blood.During my annual exam at the Bay Ridge location, the nurse could not draw my blood. She tried both arm and couldnt find the vein after which she just said sorry, come back next time. I have regular easy veins, no one ever had issues before. I had to go to another location for the blood test.2. Just because the doctor found something during my breast exam, they considered this an annual AND regular office visit and charged extra.Although this was a regular annual exam (which always includes breast exam), the office charged me and my insurance as an annual exam visit AND as a regular visit (charging me a co-pay). After multiple phone conversations with the office and with billing (including one rude person from billing) I learned that because the doctor found something during the breast exam (I had a slight complaint so told the doctor about this), and sent me to ultrasound (literally, nothing else was done or discussed) this is now considered a regular doctor visit because an issue was addresses, and so this needs to be charged as such ON TOP of the annual exam visit. I was shocked! I never saw this happen elsewhere. But apparently, this is their policy so not much I could do...3. I was charged for pap smear.Again, I never had to worry about additional bills during a regular annual exam. They say my insurance did not cover it but I never had problems with the insurance, and insurance tells me the office did not charge them as part of annual exam but a regular lab test, this is why it was not covered by insurance. I called back and tried to explain - no luck as the office said they charged as part of annual (the fact is that I never had to pay for pap smear so Im going to believe my insurance).4. Super unprofessional with ultrasound scheduling.This was the midtown location. I scheduled the breast ultrasound and had to wait for a month for my appointment (obviously, waiting for it very anxiously). I called them every other day to see if anything opened sooner but there was nothing. Finally, the day comes so I can do this and stop worrying... A couple of hours prior to my appointment they cancel it. When I call to see why it was canceled, they said that the technician did not come to work. Thats it! She just didnt come and no one tried to do something about this or at least reschedule my appointment. I would have to wait for another 2 weeks to get scheduled. I never went - scheduled it with another provider.5. Its their office policy to have a credit card on file for each patient. They say its for no-show fees, but what they do is just charge your card for co-pays without sending you any bills or any notice, or even a receipt after they charged you. This is the first time Im asked to leave a card on file at a medical office.Obviously, I am never going back. I am surprised this office has such good reviews. The reviews are the reason I went there. Well, this is also my first bad review... Stay healthy!

There were no way times the front desk. Staff were absolutely amazing as well as the medical assistant the doctor made me feel so comfortable. She was so great. I am one of those people who hates going to the gyn That was not the case here they made a super easy and super comfortable and I cant even tell you how amazing this visit was

The staff are very warm and helpful. I always feel like I’m in good hands. I ask a lot of questions and I feel like I’m leaving more informed and confident in the advice I’m receiving. I usually see Dr. Fleary she is very detailed and helpful, and recently I saw Dr. Jones also a wonderful provider.

I am so grateful for the providers at this practice, who are all skilled, knowledgeable, truly caring and attentive with patients, and who cared for me throughout my pregnancy and the safe and healthy delivery of my baby. The staff are also very helpful and friendly.

Do not go here! If your looking for bare minimum service, if your looking for a GYN who doesn’t wanna hear you or take the time to evaluate you! Then you’re at the right doctor. Since December of 2023 I had frequent urination, pain in my left side and uncontrollable frequent urination, after my primary care physician ran all my labs and Sonogram of my Kidneys, bladder and bladder; stated to me that it is not a UTI and that everything looks normal, he referred me to a urologist. Urologist ran a culture turned out I had a small UTI. I got treated for the UTI. However my symptoms WORSENED. My amazing UROLOGIST told me to go to a GYN because you no longer have a UTI. Please keep in mind that I have been in pain and AGONY of no sleep and constantly urinating. Especially at night. Fast forward to the first week of February, I go to this ObGyn for a anual and I explain to her my FREAKING symptoms. She dismissed my concerns and stated that we can do the ANNUAL but she couldn’t help me with my painful urination or all the pain that I was going through. Now on February 2nd 2024 this year!!! I am RUSHED in an ambulance to the HOSPITAL! LONG STORY SHORT I HAD A HUGE OVARIAN CYST that ruptured!!! All my symptoms were connected to a OVARIAN CYST. My internist and my urologist were right it was GYNECOLOGIST related!!!! Please if you care about your Vaginal health DO NOT go to this place!!!!

I just left my first appointment with Dr. Fleary and she is the best! From the receptionist to the nurse and then doctor, I felt comfortable the whole time. Dr. Fleary was very patient and even allowed me to call my mom to ask about my medical history. LOL. Genuinely my best experience with any doctor I’ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back.

I was very satisfied with my visit with Dr. Jones…. She was kind and friendly … very easy to express my concerns too… she took her time and was very attentive. This office have an amazing staff as well. It was very refreshing to find such a place.

My experience since switching to Maiden Lane has been great thus far. At first I was a bit nervous, as Ive been with my previous OB for over 10 years. Due to her retirement and my surprising pregnancy, I knew I needed a referral to someone who will make me feel comfortable, understand my medical history and do whats in the best interests for us. Dr Swenson and Dr Jones are phenomenal

On our first visit, we could not have been more pleased with the entire staff. Also, the nurse Samaera (Sameara) was very caring and attentive. I felt so beyond comfortable and cared for during my visit. We are excited to go back and see everyone again.

I came to this office for the first time yesterday, and I cannot tell you how happy I am. The receptionist , Samara, Melina, and Dr. Swenson were all so kind, friendly, and good to me. Called to say that I was running a few minutes late. Was told that Dr. Jones would still be able to see me. I get there, and then the woman at the front desk says that she messed up and basically lied. She never even asked the doctor. I had to then find another last minute OBGYN. Very annoying.

I’ve been looking for a new doctor for a while now and so far, I’m really happy with my find here- the office makes you feel comfortable and moves efficiently from start to finish. Dr. Swenson is really sweet and makes difficult conversations seem easy. Highly recommend

This place is amazing. The office is clean and modern. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Everyone from the doctor to the young lady who took my vitals, was friendly and polite. She said, “don’t worry, the doctor will answer all your questions. You’re in a safe space.” No medical staff has ever been that sweet or assuring to me! The doctor (Dr. Swenson) did indeed answer all my questions and addressed all my concerns. Way more proactive and thorough than my previous ob-gyn. Highly recommend!

I scheduled an appointment, and all indications were that the office accepted my insurance. Unfortunately, at the last minute, I discovered that the doctor was out of network. This inconsistency caused inconvenience and wasted time. Its crucial for accurate network information to be provided to avoid such situations
