My experience has been excellent at all times. The office is physically professional. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming and highly professional. The doctor and mid level providers are excellent in their explanations, guidance and administration of procedures. I have achieved phenomenal results from the hormones and feel like a new person. My health, energy and stamina are worldly improved.

My wife became a different person after only one month on the pellets. We have been extremely satisfied with Dr. Brannon and the team at optimal bio! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an upgrade in their health and wellness journey

Everyone at Optimal Bio is amazing! They teach you about your hormones and what you need or may not need. I love that they are about natural and not synthetic. I feel like a new woman!

I was really hoping to like optimal Bio in Cary but after my initial $275 consultation I decided Optimal bio was not for me. The NP had no bedside manner and seem dismissive and disengaged as I described my symptoms to her. She seemed almost defensive as she was selling the benefits of pellets to me and I found this odd as I do not object to being prescribed pellets. What turned me off was her lack of empathy and listening skills. I started the appointment by telling her that I’ve had a hysterectomy, as I know that’s important knowledge to have when providers are considering your hormone imbalance issues. Not even 2 minutes later she asked me if I’m trying to get pregnant. What? Even if I hadn’t just told you I have no womb did you take a look at my profile and note my age?During appointment I noticed there were 5 medical assistants sitting idly behind the front desk talking. Even with this excessive number of workers they had trouble identifying my file on the tablet. The support staff was perfectly fine but again, there was a lack of attentiveness that I found off putting.In fact, the entire experience was off putting. Seems like a huge money maker for the doctor who owns the clinic but for how expensive it is I’d expect a provider who listens and cares and a more organized and engaging clinical experience.

I like Dr. Brannon. He is personable and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable with the information. The process is pretty straight forward. No complaints there. I can’t speak fully about results yet as it is still early but I slept like a baby last night and I got through today without a Power Nap…without even wanting one. wow.For me that is kind of phenomenal given how I’ve been feeling. I normally cannot get through my day without at least one Power Nap.Not conclusive yet but it is starting off well 😊

Dr. Brannon was amazing to work with! He introduced himself, gave me his background, asked about me and my background, described my labs in detail, made suggestions based on his experience and years in service as a GYN, was honest about my situation and I can’t tell enough of how I am thrilled to now be an established patient. The front office ladies are amazing as well. They are very professional and courteous. Hands down, my favorite in-office experience! Book already, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve had good experiences until my last pellet insertion. I didnt feel as if I got the estrogen pellet. I talked with the staff and office manager who listened to my concerns - however she wasnt willing to offer a discount on my next set of pellets because I didn’t do the 6 week lab follow ups (which are not required). I know my body and how it feels without estrogen- which is awful. Luckily I had estrogen patches to wear to get me through.

Since starting with Optimal Bio 3 years ago my life have improved more than I could have even imagined. My energy, my mood, my overall health is at Optimal levels. You wont hear half of what he teaches at a typical doctor appointment, Dr. Brannon is specialized in balancing hormones which effect so many different areas of health.

Dr Brannon and his staff are working with me to restore my health. My regular OB ignored my hormonal levels and kept prescribing a synthetic patch despite my complaints of how bad I was feeling. Restoration of my hormone levels also is reducing my inflammation and putting my RA in remission. I hope to one day be told I no longer have RA. Thank you Dr. Brannon. I only wish health insurance companies approved your services however this is an expensive well worth the money to be able to live again.

I had the opportunity and the privilege to meet Dr. Brannon and the team. They are very welcoming and understanding and extremely friendly. As far as the service , it’s excellent in regards to the operation I did it and it’s was great. Pain free and the I’m still recovering. I haven’t experienced any major changes yet( since I just had the operation three days ago) but I’m sure it will kick in in two weeks or so. Got the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Brannon last week and chat, hadn’t seen him in a while. He is a wealth of information and support. I got the pellet for testosterone, and my levels got so high my voice deepened and I began losing hair. It also caused some other issues I can’t mention in a public review. I had to just wait it out since the pellet cannot be removed. Even though we did a lower dosage the next time I still experienced highs and very frustrating lows with extreme fatigue due to how the pellet delivers the hormone. They did not give an option for cream, I believe because there is not as much profit in that method. I switched to another company and have been using a daily cream and feel a million times better. My levels are perfect and the same every day.

Loved my experience at Optimal Bio! Everyone working there is so kind and professional. Dr Brannon spent time explaining explaining everything and answering all my questions. He is a wealth of knowledge but also very empathetic. Kayla did a great job making me feel comfortable during the placement. It was so easy and smooth. I have been going to Dr. Brannon for 1 year now. When I first went to his office I was waking up every night 3 to 4 times with hot flashes. I was not getting a good nights rest and I had no energy. I used Bio-identical hormone creams from a compounding pharmacy for several years, but it did not get rid of the symptoms for me. 2 weeks after my first pellet placement my hot flashes were gone and I was able to sleep through the night! Dr. Brannon has been my doctor for 15 years. He is attentive to my needs and passionately walks with me through the rough stuff. I heard about Optimal Bio through a friend. I have PCOS and Hashimotos, so being tired, dealing with brain fog, unable to focus, depressive symptoms and the like just seemed to be my life. No med helped but my labs were “normal”, as per my primary care doc. Working with Optimal Bio has changed my life. I saw a noticeable difference in all my symptoms and even noticed that I felt rested when I woke up in the morning! That always seemed like the unachievable as a working mom. I highly recommend!Edited to note: I do have mild depression and still take my daily prescription. Optimal Bio helped with the additional symptoms due to Hashimotos and PCOS which can make depressive symptoms worse. Dr. Brannon was literally the best Doctor I have ever visited in my life! It’s only been 2 days since my treatment so I can’t speak on the results yet because it takes a minimum of 2 weeks before you start to feel the difference. However I can say, He was a breath of fresh air to say the least. This guy not only knows his stuff but you can tell he actually cares about improving the quality of life of his patients. He listens to what your goals are and comes up with a plan to attack your goals head on! I could go on and on about my positive experience with this guy but I’ll end it on this note. I had lost faith in traditional medicine a few years back, this guy has given me hope, and I trust him with my health.

The information regarding before and after this procedure could have been more detailed there was a long waiting time for each appointment and the staff seemed very overwhelmed each time I was in there. I needed more details about aftercare instructions after my procedure and they were not given to me. I was given a sheet which I had to go to work right after and didn’t read right away so that needs to be clear to the patient, I did suffer a few days of unneeded pain because of that. not enough empathy or caring quite honestly. And then the next week I get a phone call from the office welcoming me and asked me when I wanted to come in for my procedure so there’s not enough communication inside that office either they are just too overwhelmed

I had a really-bad experience there. Having never seen a doctor --after taking $480 from me- they refused to treat me citing a very-slightly elevated lab result (which was within normal values for a man my age. Then, they told me that if my primary care physician sent them a letter, they would treat. --but even after all that they only took my money and refused treatment. The problems as I see them were several:: 1.), again, I never saw a real doctor, only a rather flippant nurse. 2:) their onboarding / screening lacked any mentioning of rejection because of lab values (I knew mine going in. . . ). NOTE: Anyone going there should take their past medical history with them to keep this rip off from happening to them, especially as insurance will not cover this. . . 3.) the lack of organization, i..e, one person there saying my primary care physician could approve and another person there (again NOT a physician. --not even close!) having the ability to take my money without treatment. Worth mentioning: My wifes treatment there really helped her otherwise this would have been ONE star. And this is not a slam on hormonal treatment as it can be very helpful, and difficult to find, but this is only a warning to anyone to not fall into the same trap as described. BTW: the clinic in Sanford took me in--with my lab values, with a real doctor. . . and I do recommend them

Very informative and professional you can tell everyone there enjoys there job. Ive had a great experience with Dr. Brannon and the Youth Institute of Cary. The staff is wonderful, a well run office that is extremely customer focused. I read that in other reviews, was intrigued, but after my initial appointment and subsequent procedure, all within 3 days, I was really impressed. I wish my primary care physicians office was half as good! The procedure was quick, minimal pain afterwards, like a light bee sting if I bumped the incision location. That was over in about four days, then it was like a slow, steady onramp to feeling great. Mental clarity came first, like a fog had lifted. Shortly after the energy levels increased, muscle soreness was gone, and my ability to be more physically active increased every week. By week four, I realized I rarely drank coffee, my procrastination was over, and I enjoyed getting much more done at home and at work. I have been treated by Dr. Brannon for about five years now. I sought him out after my primary care physician and my gynecologist told me that I was on the boarder line of osteoporosis and needed to start a drug such as Boniva. Although the BHRT treatments and prescriptions are more than I was paying for traditional drugs and Drs. appointments, the outcome is priceless as I feel like myself again.

Dr. Brannon is very knowledgeable about bioreplacement hormones. I have worked with him for 9 years as on OBGYN and 3 years for hormone replacement. I am a 34 year old female teacher who laughed at him when he suggested hormone therapy however after seeing my testosterone levels I knew I needed to take action. I couldnt continue to live without any energy with two young children. I have compared his prices with three other specialist in the Raleigh and Clayton area and found them to be very competitive. He is blunt and somewhat informal which makes him very approachable. He doesnt have the typical I dont have time for you attitude some doctors have. I have been a patient of Dr Brannon’s OBGYN practice for 23 years. I had been struggling with undiagnosed Hashimotos disease for about 20 years. When I was finally diagnosed about 2 years ago, I wanted to take control of my health. I was eating well, exercising and getting excellent thyroid treatment. After my apt the very next I was able to conduct my blood with in 48 hours I saw the results and 7 days later was able to get my follow-up apt. Update: At my first follow-up my testosterone levels were a little over 800. About 1.5 belt size dropped off in the first four to five weeks and I am up in weight (muscle). Energy and recovery are awesome. I now train twice a day with 30 minutes during my lunch and 1.15 or so after work. Well worth the money and discomfort of the pelts.
