I will start by saying everyone I encountered at this facility was polite. I was in and out in about an hour, and my issue was taken care of promptly. HOWEVER, this facility is DISGUSTING. As soon as I entered a very strong odor resembling that of a port-o-potty was the first thing I noticed. The nurse who checked me in and took my vitals opened the door to greet me with gloves already on and never changed them. It making me assume she had them on with the previous patient (who was very ill, I could hear their entire conversation through the door to the lobby). She also worked on her computer, touched doors and other equipment and never once took off or changed her gloves while attending to me. Once seated in a room to wait on a provider, I noticed the walls, doors, and floors were filthy and had not been cleaned in quite some time. The needle reciprocal had blood on it and the trash can had a brown liquid substance dripped all over and down the side of it. I will unfortunately never be returning or recommending anyone I know use this facility for any type of care due to lack of hygiene!

I have been here on two separate occasions and saw the same practitioner both times. I would not recommend going. Jody is a horribly rude person. She clearly does not care for your emotions. I had a traumatic pelvic exam because she wouldn’t give me enough time to prepare myself for her to look at a VERY private part. Because of the way she handled the pelvic exam I now have long lasting issues with Gyno doctors and what they can do to me. I went again yesterday for problems with my throat. She talked to me with no respect and would not listen to what I was talking about. Rather, I got the words “I don’t understand what you’re trying to get at here”. She refused to listen to me or my friend. I went in with tonsils swollen and in a lot of pain. They did a rapid strep test that came back negative. However I had all signs of something wrong with my throat and she still would not give me a doctor’s note for my job. I work at a restaurant. Getting customers sick is a big no no. Whatever is wrong with my throat is most likely bacterial and contagious. Therefore I should NOT be able to go to work. She completely ignored what I was saying and told me that I can go back to work because “I am not sick”. Luckily, my manager agreed with me that I should not come in. If you can get in with any other doctors office I would highly recommend that before deciding to go here. Everyone else is so nice at Urgent Care. The receptionist and nurse who took my vitals were very sweet people. Jody is not.I have also read some of the other reviews and from what I gather she is like this to everybody. This location has had multiple 1 star reviews because of the same woman’s behavior. When will it change? I will not be coming back here.

Overall very distanced experience. They seemed annoyed we were there and they weren’t busy. It wasn’t during lunch or the end of the day, either. Nice waiting area and no wait (a positive). They had a weird check in procedure on my phone. The triage nurse was the most positive part of the experience. The APRN (Jody Morrison) was rude and seemed very unhappy to be there. Probably the most rude doctor I’ve ever experienced. She was even annoyed when I asked a question about the meds and she answered me as she exited, without bothering to pause. If the place was busy I would understand, kind of. But it wasn’t busy. I won’t go back.

Man if you dont have health insurance they want $400+ to even be seen. Have to pay up front. All I needed was a medication for flu symptoms. Whats the point of this place then? If I had insurance I definitely would be going to a real doctors office!

With only one person in the waiting room, had to wait almost an hour and 45 minutes to see a doctor. Was told I could get a refill on the z-pack if I was still feeling sick 5 days later. When I called to get the refill, I was told Id have to come back in again and pay another office visit to get a simple refill. Was told that the provider I saw that day was not there that day and I would have to see a new provider will not be using this clinic againBy the time I got out of the clinic, it was too late to get my prescription the first time since the pharmacy had closed at 7:00 p.m.If they see me in a timely fashion I could have gotten the prescription and started the regiment the day before. Wish the old group we owned it was still there

I’ve had a recurring UTI and made an online appointment. I called this morning to make sure my insurance would be accepted the very friendly lady on the phone took the time to run the insurance for me to give me peace of mind it would go through. She welcomed me with the biggest smile and greatest attitude when it came to check in time and even offered for me to come in early when they are slow if I wanted. I waiting no longer than two minutes and got called back where another very friendly nurse took my vitals and actually listened to what I had to say. As someone who has had negative experiences at doctors which has led me to be extremely fearful of doctors this whole experience has made me hopeful that some nurses and doctors do care and do listen and are super nice. The doctor and nurse did great as explaining everything to me and I can’t emphasize enough the great bedside manner and communication they had! The office was super neat and clean and I was in and out in 20 minutes! Hands down the best experience at a doctors office I have ever had and has definitely given me a great experience to lift my fear of going in and getting treated when I need it. I couldn’t recommend this location enough!

When I arrived, I was the only patient there. The receptionist was exceptionally kind. The nurse who took my vitals was polite but clearly disinterested.The nurse practitioner who saw me was very rude and dismissive, didn’t ask any questions or give me the opportunity to do so, and obviously wanted me out as quickly as possible even though there was nobody in the waiting room. When she came back to tell me my Covid test was negative, she handed me a packet and said I should go get some over the counter meds, and was halfway out the door before I could even look at the paper.

We enjoy coming and getting our questions and concerns answered. Nurses and doctor are very friendly and great providers. We always get fast results and are glad that they stay open later than other clinics. It has been very convenient for our family.

I did a walk in recheck. The wait time was small, the staff was friendly, the care was good. The PA I saw was very informative and was able to give me the information I needed. I think as far as urgent cares go, this one is clean, friendly and caring. I recommend if you cant get into your personal doctor and you dont need the ER.

I went first thing on a Monday morning. They saw me right away. The FD clerk was kind and attentive. I was seen by Shelley Bradley FNP and she was wonderful! She was very helpful and very informative. I was in and out in an hour and a half.

Horrible experience. I signed up online for an in person appt for the one on Seneca only to be told when I got there that they were only seeing ppl virtually. Headed to the Derby location, paid my 35 dollar co-pay, only to have the doctor look at me and chastise me for coming to an urgent care for swollen lymph nodes and fatigue. After schooling me and telling me I need to see my doctor, she did a brief obligatory exam. Her bedside manner was equal to that of a mule.

Staff was great!However the provider had terrible bedside manner. I came in for possible UTI and blood in the urine. I was told it could be a kidney stone or bladder cancer…..and then told that they really couldn’t help me and to go home and wait for my cultures to come back. I ended up in the local ER yesterday afternoon and I found out I have a horrible kidney infection… even given a bag of antibiotics at that visit. I do not appreciate this provider telling me that I may have bladder cancer. That’s a horrible thing to say. This is not my first experience with this provider. Her bedside manner is the worst! I probably will not be returning

Front desk clerk was not all that friendly for out of town guests. Nurse was ok with my 6yr old. Practitioner on duty was slow. Waited 1.25 hours in the room for her to see my child. Came in and was like yup I was in the next room laughing with another patient for the past 45 minutes, I was told you complained and asked about how much longer it would be for me to come in.

Reception and nurse were great! But the provider that cared for my son was absolutely terrible. She seemed annoyed the whole time she was with us. Did not even examine my son and kept talking to me as if I was stupid for asking questions instead of trying to educate me in a kind way. I brought him in due to the fact that he was covered from head to toe with small blisters and has been itching and in a miserable amount of pain. I brought him in with long sleeves and pants. She wouldn’t have even been able to see how he was presenting but she didn’t bother to examine his body to see what was going on and what symptoms he had.

Not great, the person at the front desk act like we were an inconvenience to them to be checking in. The provider wasnt very helpful. We followed up with our PCP today and they did we should have also been prescribed oral antibiotics as well as the ear drops. Wasnt pleased for the amount we paid and the level of care we received and still had to be seen the next day because things were getting significantly worse due to the lack of medication prescribed by the provider we seen.

Came in for a pulled neck muscle, Doctor said she would prescribe muscle relaxers and write a note for light work duty note, Did not write a prescription, Light Duty note was insufficient, called to correct, Still no prescription and light duty note was still insufficient despite requesting specific things, went back to see a new provider and was charged again for a new visit. Very Disappointing

Very disappointed!! Our dr office in Derby was all booked up and told me to take my daughter to Urgent Care. Made appt online, waited in parking lot for doors to open at 8am and they didn’t unlock doors till 8:15am. Got inside they tell me how they have no dr or nurse on staff to check my daughters ears and swob her throat for strep bc my daughter wasn’t feeling good with fever, sore throat and ears hurting. Waste of time! Dont understand why we even have urgent care in Derby if they don’t have medical staff there.

Do not go here if you have severe morning sickness and need nausea medication. I told them I can’t get in anywhere with an OB and the doctor straight up told me no, we won’t prescribe anything for nausea and we won’t see you. I guess I will have to go to the emergency room to get some relief.

RUDE doctors! Jody(however you spell her name) is very rude and ignorant. She said that my mother’s understanding is “skewed” when all we’re trying to do is get medication that can help me. I’m not from the Wichita area so I went where I could get help quickly and this was one of the worse experiences I’ve ever had. I completely lost my voice due to Covid so it hurts for me to talk. I gave her permission to talk to my mother because it hurts to speak and I have no voice, but she kept running her mouth . Jody still insisted on going back and forth with me on the phone, wasting both of our time. Jody was constantly getting slick with me instead of being professional and trying to help me. I have severe asthma and currently have Covid so I am struggling, but Jody insisted on being rude and slick with me and my mother. I’m grateful that I don’t live down here so I won’t have to deal with her again.

Terrible. I came in for a physical and they took my blood pressure with a machine while i was coughing and proceeded to tell me my bp was 145/103 and refused to take it manually because she “didnt have a stethoscope”. What PRN doesnt have a stethoscope? Pitiful.

I listened to the doctor, word for word be very rude to another patient. Which does not comply with HIPPA. I am in the healthcare field and this was simply against all patient privacy ethics.The doctor then proceeded to speak loudly about him in the common area.The doctor then came into my room and preceded to tell me that they could simply do nothing for me and then preceded to dismiss me after hearing a medication that I was on. This is a medication that I have been on for eight months that I have lost 50 pounds and lowered my blood pressure and got all my levels under control. The doctor then went into the common area and asked the nurse if I told her about this medication, and I had. Thank you to the nurse who decided to answer in a normal voice volume. The doctor proceeded to tell me stop taking the medication and thank you but no thank you. I got a second opinion and this was viral and I was treated like someone who was truly ill.This is not how you treat patients. Telling them you don’t know what you can do for them and then berate them. The doctor told myself and the man in the room next to me that they didn’t know what they could do for us. Seriously??

I had the unfortunate luck today to speak with nurse practitioner Jody Morris regarding my daughters medication. Jody was extremely rude, condensing & disrespectful. She must be a very miserable soul to have such a negative demeanor to people who are asking basic questions regarding medication. If answering questions is out of the realm of her job description then PLEASE do not have that woman speak to another patient. Thank God for the provider Joseph Stroud who spoke to me afterwards & was able to handle my questions with dignity & fix the issues regarding the medication for my daughter. I went to the Derby,KS location and everything went fairly quick. The staff were very professional and nice. I really, really wish I could remember names, but I cant. Honestly I have gone there 3 times since they opened and each time Ive been there, the girls at the front desk are very nice and helpful, the medical assistants / or nurses have always been so kind, personable, thorough, and they were all wonderful with children. We have seen the same provider each time and I believe it is Judy Morrison that has been there, and she is wonderful! She has twice now, noticed something concerning my daughter that her regular PCP has either not noticed or hasnt mentioned. So I am very, very thankful to the provider at NextCare in Derby .

Completed online registration. Listed my current pharmacy. The person who took vitals asked which pharmacy I used. After seeing the practitioner, she said script would be sent to my pharmacy. I confirmed the pharmacy TWICE with her. The script was sent to the wrong pharmacy. To a pharmacy that is out of business.

Nurse Practitioner was kinda of rude. She kept repeating questions thinking that I don’t know anything about health. I’m a nurse I know what I take. And she was wanting me to put my feet together which I stated that I can not do because my feet go out sideways….. I rather have gone to one on Seneca. They were much more nicest and had better bedside manner…..I had a mirage why would you keep the lights on…and then when your equipment fails rush me off to another room….and still won’t turn off the lights….

I called NextCare in Derby on Rock Rd. and spoke with a young woman about an appointment, and was fortunately able to get one within a couple of hours. The link she sent by text to get started with the online paperwork for the appointment was easy to use, and from there, the app (Solv.) that was recommended to follow up with from the online registration process (uploading insurance information, adding family members etc…) is very handy.The young woman at the counter in the lobby was a bit snotty and annoyed towards me after I politely declined to give my husband’s social security number (optional) - retired active duty and we were informed to no longer use the SSN because of ID theft, and to use our Tricare Prime/Tricare West Regional benefits number instead. She stated that it was required information, but on their website and app it’s optional.Other than that I would recommend going to this urgent care if you’re in need of immediate medical treatment. The medical staff were knowledgeable, polite, patient, and caring- good people skills.

I received a COVID test and was disappointed by the results, as I had tested positive previously. Yet tested negative on yours.I believe the nurse did the test improperly, as she only did ones quick swipe inside each nostril, as instructions say that youre supposed to take fifteen seconds to swipe both nostrils which was not done.

The online scheduling was awesome. Other urgent cares I’ve visited, the wait time is a toss up, and sometimes it can take all day to get seen. Here, I was able to schedule an online appointment, be seen almost right away, and be out the door very quickly. The staff was phenomenal as well!

I was at NextCare from before 1:30pm to almost 5pm waiting.. I was getting very impatient but whenever I was finally seen I noticed only 3 people were working back there. My impatience disappeared I understood why it took so long. Yes I had a long wait but I got taken care of and every person was sweet and understanding. I seriously appreciate that you listened to me and took care of my needs with your knowledge. I hope soon you guys get more help because I know what its like being understaffed. Staff is professional and friendly, for the most part. Seems almost pointless to make an appt. since walk-ins will be seen ahead of you - just guarantees that you won’t be turned away if they’re short-staffed. But, the practitioner is kind and does a good job diagnosing and recommending treatments.

Most amazing experience of my life. The staff were kind and compassionate. Audrey practically bowed when she welcomed me, she was so polite and patient. Michelle handled my X-Rays and I could not be more pleased. She was an expert at the little slid-y things and was so gentle when she positioned me (I wonder if I might bat for the other team now, to be honest). And we cannot forget the cream of the crop - Krista, my APRN. Not only was she such a delight to talk to, she didn’t rush me at all. I didn’t feel judged (like some other places), and she was so quick to comfort me when I started crying about the pain I was in. She was thorough in her examination and made sure that all of my questions were answered.Kim was super cool too.

Booked an appointment online. Easy and convenient .We were seen right away.Receptionist was polite and very friendly. Check-in nurse was helpful and polite.The nurse practitioner saw us right away and was able to answer all my questions.We live in Mulvane and our family doctor is in Wichita, so we use local clinics for any basic medical needs that arise where we need to be seen “day of.”We’ll be back next time we need quick care!!

Long wait times are especially difficult for small children, only to see a doctor for a couple minutes. The phone number provided does not go to their front desk but is automated and had to call several times before talking to an actual person. I had an issue with the bill, wasnt processed through insurance even though I provided all my insurance info. The staff comes off rude, not happy at all. Only 3 stars because they did provide the care my family needed but had issues throughout.

Don’t go here. They told me my labs came back fine, come to find out when I logged into Labcorp, I most definitely wasn’t fine. I called several times to ask for clarification, however I have yet to get ahold of anyone even during office hours. The doctor had quite the attitude while I was there as well and refused to answer my questions. I will not be returning. Overall had a poor experience.

BILLING BEWARE!Edited! Taking from a 3 star to a 1 starAfter all of the correspondence we broke down and paid the amount they said we still owed to just be done with it, even after proving multiple times we had already paid it… well we thought it was done and they sent us to collections!! The total bill was paid plus another forty some dollars… two different places called us for billing for the visit. They need to get their systems aligned or something. They are going after people who have already paid and have proof of payment and sending to collections anyway. Now we are sending all of the proof to the collections agency. It’s a nightmare for a bill total around $100. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. FIND OTHER CARE IF YOU CAN.We went and had amazing care from staff, I was so thankful they stayed open just a bit later so we didn’t get stuck with a $300 ER copay. However! It was months before we saw a bill (which is understandable), but many phone calls were made proving to them that we made payments through their system. We stay on top payments so there is no chance to get sent to collections. Today my husband was notified there was an existing balance still and we would be sent to collections. I believe it was a month/month and a half ago we sent proof of payment from our bank to them and received an email from nextcare informing us that they would get it sorted for his account. Guess they didn’t, or they rejected/refunded it without telling us (even though we sent proof it had gone through). Not too happy with their billing department. Loved the actual medical staff though.

My daughter just went to Next Care in Derby for a COVID test. We have federal blue cross blue shield. They never once mentioned before testing that she was not in network and would be charged out of pocket everything until she checked out where she was charged $300 versus the $35 we pay at all other urgent cares in the area. Ask when you check in people. These people are crooks!

I made an appointment at the Derby location, 24 hours in advance. The morning of my appointment I received a text 20 minutes before saying they couldn’t get me in due to staffing. I’ve tried twice now to walk-in… the first time they had a sign on the door saying they can’t take anymore walk-ins for the 29th due to staffing (there were 2 people there in the waiting room) and tonight I pulled up at 7:00, an hour before they close, and someone turned off all the lights as I got out of my car. Won’t recommend to anyone and will never be back! This is not “urgent care” or a walk-in clinic as advertised.

I was sick and decided to try the new place out. Loved when it was just Urgent Care, but this new company is not it. I called and could not get ahold of anyone and tried again and just got an operator. When I walked in they asked if I had an appointment when they said they take “walk ins”. They gave me a 2:15 appt and said they would text me when the time came. I NEVER received a text message. I tried to walk in tonight again due to having an allergic reaction and the first thing they asked is if I had an appointment. This is not a walk in clinic. I understand people are sick and people get busy, but this is not okay.

Very happy, I tried to get into my primary Dr but they wouldnt see me for 3 more days. Nextcare got me in on very short notice. I dont go to the doctor unless i really need to, once every 4 to 5 yrs for me. Nextcare is friendly and fast. I will definitely use them again.

This was my first experience since MedExpress left. I went and waited and hour. The wait wasn’t a big deal and the staff was friendly. But, my main concern is I need my antibiotics so after leaving Nextcare I went to the pharmacy 45 minutes later and it hadn’t been called over. I tried calling and no one ever answers. Here I am 5 hours later and my prescription hasn’t been called into the pharmacy!! I write this as I have been on the phone waiting for someone to answer…. 20 minutes as of now. A patient shouldn’t have to chase down a prescription like this. Next time I will just wait and go to my doctor or even the emergency room.

Waited an hour to get in to see someone. Once there, they couldn’t do anything. Was then sent to the ER. Ended up being charged $135 for a referral. Never again. They will be skipped and I will go straight to ER.

Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time. I have no idea why they have appointments if you have to wait 2+ hours to be seen anyways. I’m not sure how they expect you to sit with a sick child in there for hours. I have never been to an urgent care that was a poorly run as this one. We ended up have to just leave without being seen after two hours of waiting.

Im new in Kansas and had a great experience here. I got in very quickly to see a doctor and the advice I got was spot on. The doctor was very knowledgeable and everything she told me to do worked wonderfully. I was back to normal in a couple of days. Thank you Urgent Care!

Honestly pretty disappointed in this experience and will not be returning. Made an appointment online for my 2 year old who has an ear infection to get meds and made the appointment in general so he wouldn’t be running around . Waited 30 minutes PAST my appointment time to be taken back and waited another 20 mins just to be seen even though there was only 2 PATIENTS and just for her to come in and say “yup definitely an ear infection” Super annoyed and will be going elsewhere next time .

The visit was quick and easy… however, after driving to the pharmacy that they sent my medication to I found out that it was closed. I tried calling the number on all the paperwork, all it lead me to was the costumer service robot, never to a human being. If only the number would go to the front desk of the location I wouldn’t have had to drive all the way back to ask them to change the pharmacy location and have to wait another 30-45 min for it to be filled. Completely ridiculous situation that could have just been solved if the phone number they give you would just go to the front desk. Irritating!

From another location to arrive..I took my 1.5 year old in for a possible ear infection and they went above and beyond for my kids giving them each a popsicle while I nursed my one week old. This is second time for my toe, first it was swollen cut and loose toenail. First visit was an emergency could be broken or need stitches. They took good care of that and then today the toe was doing well except for a dangling toenail I couldn’t take care of.The staff at Urgent Care are great they deadened the toenail some and I got directions on what to do for the. Next couple of weeks to keep it from getting infected.

I went to Next Care Urgent Care in August 2022. Although they were super sweet and were in the middle of training I wished they were able to do more than they did. They ran a urinalysis and told me to go to the ER. My pain was not bad enough to be taken by ambulance. I left and after the pain was still there I went to Derby Family Medical Center. They were able to do a full work up in house without the need for the ER.I would personally not go back to NextCare.

TURNED AWAY.I went in with my boyfriend at 740 they close at 8 on Wednesday December 7th. He expressed he needed to see a doctor because his heart rate was increasing and he had horrible chest pain and couldnt breathe well. She said he needed to go to the ER. That the best they could do is an EKG and then depending on the results he would get sent there anyways. I said is there anyway to get that done now since were here so we can know whats going on? She then said Well, weve really reached our maximum capacity today... Are you kidding me?! Youre turning away someone who could be having a mild heart attack because youre about to close?? Took my son to derby location for a hand injury that clearly was going to need an xray. No one told us they did not have an xray machine until after the fact. We were then told he would need to go to their maize location (25min away) for the xray or we could go to another immediate care but they would still bill for that visit since they saw him....dont you think you should mention that you dont have an xray prior to seeing those patients that will need one?!
