Planned Parenthood - Durham Health Center

I’m so happy and emotional with my experience. The lady at the front desk was so welcoming and sweet, they helped me get taken care of with the costs of IUD insertion. Everyone who spoke to me was kind and friendly. The facility is beautiful and clean. Nonna is the best healthcare provider I’ve ever had. She was so friendly and open. She answered all my questions and made me laugh and treated me like a human being. I felt so safe and connected to my body and respected and valued. It healed part of me that had been traumatized with getting healthcare as a woman. Thank you to everyone who works here and makes places like this possible.

Everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind, patient, and professional! While I ended up waiting for over an hour past my scheduled time, it was a same-day appointment and things moved efficiently once I got called back. The providers did a great job of explaining my care options. They were compassionate, clear, and gave me lots of opportunities to ask questions. Fantastic care team. 💜

Was waiting for over 20 minutes for the doctor to confirm my prescription, which took less than a minute. In total the appointment which should have taken 15 minutes took over an hour.

I had such a positive experience at this clinic. Everyone I interacted with was so extremely kind and professional. In particular, Mia and Nonna made me feel comfortable during the entire visit. I arrived at the clinic feeling anxious and left feeling completely at ease. I wanted to post this review after a recent negative experience I had during my routine OB/gyn visit at one of the larger local medical systems, because only due to my previous experience at this planned parenthood, I knew that it is possible to feel completely comfortable and informed during the sensitive portions of the exam. I am extremely grateful for the care you provide.

This planned parenthood is literally the epitome of what any health clinic should be. The front desk staff is so kind and helpful and the practitioner Shana was beyond amazing. The lady who took my vitals and started the appointment was also so kind and helpful. Everyone really made me feel comfortable. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I cannot recommend this planned parenthood to enough of my friends, so now i’m telling you. If you need STD testing, birth control, etc, come to this planned parenthood. Duke & unc appointments were backed up a couple of months, and I’m so glad because they have nothing on this Planned Parenthood!! Everyone I interacted with was SO kind, it felt like getting a warm hug. Mia, Hannah, the sweet people at the front desk— Thank You. I’m someone who cries at every doctors visit, but here I felt so safe and cared for, I was LAUGHING. Imagine!! It’s everything reproductive health should be. Honestly looking forward to my next visit!!

I went here for a gynecological exam while Im waiting to get in at a gynecologists practice as a new patient, and I had two of the warmest, thoroughest medical professionals I have ever come in contact with. Mia and Shonna (Shawna?) are absolutely fantastic. They made me feel so at ease, and they made sure all my questions were answered - even some I hadnt even thought to ask!

Nurse midwife (mentioned in previous reviews) Shauna is amazing! Warm, professional, considerate bedside manner. Made me feel super comfortable and answered all my questions and concerns. Service was timely and super quick. Very short wait time.

The midwife Shana is a gem! I have had many bad experiences at Ob/gyn clinics and was dreading another encounter, but this one was different. I had to drive 1 hr to get the soonest appointment & Im so glad I did! Shana was phenomenal. Respectful, kind, gentle, fun. Great practitioner. I cant compliment her enough. You reminded me what kind of nurse I want to be. Thank you!!!

Such a pleasant experience with lovely staff members who are so intentional about being caring & attentive. After going to Duke, where staff are professional but overall cold, this is my second time using PP services & everytime the staff are so kind and patient. Thank you!

Their portal allows you to make appointments on days that they are closed and they don’t tell you??? I have been strung along two weeks in a row because on the day of my scheduled appointment, they aren’t actually open!!!

Everyone here was so friendly and helpful. Ive never had to wait very long and the office puts you at ease.

I came here about 6 months ago my first time and i was kinda confused how to get in but the moment i did the workers there were very nice and everything just felt comforting.

Whats the point in having an appointment if two hours later you are still waiting to be seen. Yes they offer discounted prices but they are very inconsiderate of your time. And they always have the same bs apology...no more donations...not coming here again.

This place has the most caring and nice staff I have encountered. They are the healthcare workers helping people every single day. God bless them for their great work.

Wait was over an hour with a scheduled appointment. Receptionist was rude when I called the morning of my appointment. Communication is clearly not a priority in this establishment

This is the place for low cost medical care. They saved my life when I had terrible MrSA infection. Wish misinformed people would stop their attacks. Says a lot about our education here in North Carolina.

Very caring and friendly staff, very enthusiastic and had a happy attitude. It was a quick visit that had me in and out in next to no time

Does not provide maternity care only abortions.

Not helpful at all they keep u on hold for 30 min and then send u to voicemail and then refuse service when u walk-in

The people there always treat me very well and with respect.

Very inconsiderate of people’s time. And not very accommodating.
