This practice was recommended to me by several different people. I have been very pleased with the prenatal care I have been receiving here. Specifically, Dr Presti and Dr Lindberg have been phenomenal! Not only are they very knowledgeable, but they are also very compassionate.Highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Joshi is truly an angel sent from heaven. She provided exceptional care during my challenging delivery. Her expertise, compassion, and quick decision-making ensured both my babys and my safety. Words cant describe my gratitude for her support throughout my delivery. During my pregnancy and recovery her practice was always attentive and supportive. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a dedicated and skilled gynecologist. Thank you, Dr. Joshi for everything.

Let me begin by saying I drive almost 40 minutes to get to this practice and it’s worth it. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant with my second and the experience continues to be top tier. The front desk, especially Kim, are so kind and personable. I love coming in just for the sweet words and supportive staff. As for the physicians, Dr. Andersen is an angel sent from above. She not only is thorough and answers all concerns, but also her bedside manner is unheard of in this day and age. Also, the newest physician, Dr. Presti, is such a wonderful addition to the practice and took the time to calm my fears regarding my upcoming C-section. If you want the best treatment in Northern Virginia, this is the place.

I go to this practice exclusively for Gynecology services. And I dont have any chronic gynecological issues, so I typically only see them once a year or when I have an issue. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way: I can say that doctors Ive had, have been lovely. The staff, however...like at many medical practices these days...could use more training in talking to patients. Nowadays, staff at medical practices speak to you as if youre ordering something from McDonalds. I called twice to try and schedule an appointment for an issue Im having. Twice was asked, What kind of appointment do you need? Um...come again. LOL I need a doctors appointment. Are you having an issue? Um...yes. I am having an issue, otherwise I wouldnt be calling.Twice I was transferred to a nurses line that rang with no answer. Ive now requested an appointment via MyChart. Medical care is so depersonalized. If you can manage to get in to see a doctor, I find that most of them are empathetic. But at lot of the staff...considering that all of us are having some kind of health issue...you can tell they are just reading off a script and waiting to clock out. LOL

I left the practice at 31 weeks pregnant due to red flags with a few providers, but especially Dr. Lindberg. The management was lovely (really liked and appreciated Janeice), and I do recommend Dr. Joshi & Dr. Presti. However, with rotating OBs and the risk of being connected to a practitioner that I do not trust for the first time I plan to give birth, I had to advocate for myself and find a new group. If you are a mom experiencing the same concerns, this is your sign to listen to your gut. It was clear to me after recent interactions that this group does not adopt a midwifery philosophy at large, or respect for the emotionally vulnerable, yet healthy, capable mother first, and their right to self-determination in health care. I know professionally this is the direction Inova would like to move towards given recent conferences. In my case, instead of relating to me as a human/mom, or leveling with me as a dietitian/someone medical minded too, Dr. Lindberg in our first meeting chose to create a power dynamic and push the plan for medical interventions that either I was opposed to or didn’t ask her opinion on. This made me nervous. I vocalized that I am flexible and open to changes to my preferences at birth. However, the mother should always have a choice, and should feel heard, comfortable, and safe to share openly. She called to apologize for my in person experience, yet in follow-up calls became pushy again instead of allowing for open discussions or validating my experience. I’ve already had a more personal, connected experience while transferring care in my 3rd trimester (a very scary choice to have to make) to Centerville OB, delivering at Fair Oaks. I am very grateful that I stuck up for myself and switched.

I gave birth to to our baby son a week ago today and can’t thank the women doctors at Nova Group for Women enough. Special appreciation goes to Dr. Yoon, who delivered our son. I wanted a practice where the doctors knew what they were doing, where I was presented with all the relevant information regarding my pregnancy and received (on site) or was referred for any necessary testing at each stage if pregnancy. In addition, I wanted billing and the practice’s correspondence with my insurance carrier to be seamless. The experience overall exceeded my expectations. All of the doctors at Nova Group for Women care about your well-being but some of the visits are quick, especially towards the end of your pregnancy, which I found to be fine, since everyone I encountered was knowledgeable and addressed all my questions. If you are the type of woman who would like more personal support every step of the way throughout your pregnancy, and values a special bond with a particular doctor, this may not be the practice for you. I am the type who can do without the hand holding but needed a reliable, systematic, and competent practice, which was exactly what I got. Dr. Yoon was very encouraging on the day of delivery. She outlined what was going to happen and executed the birth of our son perfectly. She was also gracious to my family members and informed them of the progress during labor and delivery. All in all, I would highly recommend Nova Group for Women and the practice has an excellent relationship with Inova Fairfax Women’s Hospital.

I have been with this practice for years and saw Dr. Kinder for my annual wellness visits. Dr. Kinder has been prompt (reasonable wait times), helpful, and pleasant. Note: I don’t have health issues. I get the pap smears and the results are then communicated in the patient portal.Recently for my first pregnancy, I met with Dr. Lindberg. For the confirmation of pregnancy, I was asked to drink two cups of water and refrain from peeing for the first sonogram. It took over an hour from sitting at the waiting room to get this sonogram. When talking about this wait time, she, at one point, suggested that for future visits, I can call the front desk about the wait time and decided if I want to continue with the appointment. She also said, I can also choose to find a different practice in the Northern Virginia area.Further, she disputed the existence of my morning sickness symptoms, but prescribed me an expensive medication that has been known to cause drowsiness and was difficult about writing a doctor’s note for a work accommodation that my workplace has encouraged me to used. I even showed her the brochure given to me by my workplace. Btw, the workplace accommodation was 1 hour rest time per day with the presence of a pregnancy complication. Her reasoning was: pregnancy isn’t a complication (And, I agree). However, she fails to understand that morning sickness in the form of severe nausea can be a complication of pregnancy that warrants a 1 hour rest time per day as needed and I cannot emphasized enough that my workplace encouraged me to seek this accommodation. I asked what complications of pregnancy would rise to level where she would write the doctor’s note as required by my workplace. Her answer was: “preterm labor or problems with the placenta”. Expectant parent(s) think long and hard about her answer and note that this is for a 1 hour rest time per day, as needed. The best advice she offered me was to find a different practice. And, I have and I can tell you, in fact, there is better.Advocate for your health and your baby. Don’t hesitate about asking your questions and concerns. And, I wish you all the very best in your pregnancy experience.

I had a terrible experience at this practice and wish I had advocated for myself and left sooner. Every appointment felt incredibly impersonal and rushed. The doctors came in, did their thing, and then left. A few times I literally had to stop the doctor from running out of the room so I could ask a question. I had the exact same experience in the hospital. They came in immediately told the nurse to start me on pitocin and then left. There was never any discussion or informed consent. Dr. Yoon told me I have to have this baby tonight and the whole thing felt incredibly rushed and like I had no say in anything that was happening. I ended up having a C-section and while on the table my bladder was unintentionally cut. Dr. Yoon leaned over the curtain and said to me that she’s never done that in her 27 years of practice. Great bedside manner…exactly what you want to hear when you’re lying there awake on a table. That turned into a completely traumatic 3 hour partial removal and complex repair of my bladder all while I was awake.

Dr. Anderson delivered my 3rd baby recently and it was such a wonderful, wonderful experience. I really adore her and trust her completely. I have full confidence in her and would recommend her to every expecting mom. I was referred to the practice by 2 mom friends who also had wonderful long-term experiences with this practice. I had a positive experience with all the doctors, but Dr. Anderson really stands out because of her authenticity and bedside manner. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The only downside was that sometimes it felt like they were dealing in quantity and trying to move a large number of patients through quickly. Though, I never felt I didn’t get the time I needed with a practitioner.

Had a twin pregnancy and was in the hospital for about a month with preeclampsia. The practice was excellent at getting me the care and medical advice needed. Through my time in the he hospital, I was seen by residents on the floor, a team of specialists, and my doctors. This group consistently had the most patience in explaining test results and how we would adjust my treatment plan accordingly. They were compassionate and reassuring through a difficult time. Dr. Andersen went above and beyond, checking on me even when she wasnt on call and taking time from her lunch to chat when she saw me with my family in the lobby. Dr. Joshi did a fantastic job with the C-section. Would highly recommend.

LOVE THIS PRACTICE! I cannot recommend NOVA Group for Women enough! Ive been a patient of the practice for a few years now and just had my first baby in early 2020. My delivery was a wonderful experience because of their (all women) practice. When my labor began Dr. Maanavi was my attending, but was relieved by Dr. Andersen about an hour before I delivered (as they rotate shifts). This did not bother me in the slightest because I had seen all of the doctors in the practice (as youre required to throughout your pregnancy), so I knew (and was comfortable with) all of them. Dr. Andersen is phenomenal! She coached me through delivery, and it was an amazing experience that I will always be grateful for. I cannot say enough good things about this experienced practice, they really do listen to their patients needs and wants, make sure they answer all of your questions, and have baby and moms best interest in mind (I truly felt this). I had a scare a couple of months before I delivered, and Dr. Joshi and CNM Hindman were there to provide the best care to me and my unborn baby. If I have any more children, it will be with this practice. I will say that all of their front desk staff are really wonderful. However, there is one scheduler that was new to the practice earlier this year that I had to push back on when scheduling my later pregnancy appointments (I cannot remember her name). Another, more tenured scheduler, who seemed like the office manager, took care of me moving forward and with no further issues.

All the doctors were amazing throughout the pregnancy process. The nurses were prompt when consulting over phone for trivial issues. No problem getting appointments. Wait time was very minimal. The OB(Dr. Yoon) was of great help during delivery. Dr. Joshi was also a great help during some difficult times. Overall experience was very pleasant. Definitely recommended.Only feedback is they are associated with INova hospital who are amazing too but very pricey. We had a hefty bill for regular lab works and delivery despite having a relatively good insurance. Also, they refer to NxGen for genetic screening who werent easy to deal with in terms of billing.

The doctors here are stellar and very accommodating. I’ve had no issues whatsoever making appointments and having them start in a timely manner, even when I’m running a bit late. I elected to do a scheduled c-section for my first pregnancy and Dr. Joshi and the team at Inova did a great job. The only thing that I would suggest which needs improvement is the IUD process. I would’ve appreciated receiving an informational one-pager when I expressed interest because the timing of IUD placement is very particular (they want you to come in DURING your period, and they’ll take a pregnancy test via urine sample just to be sure beforehand). I didn’t know any of this before and could’ve saved a lot of time planning things around an unreliable cycle postpartum.

The nicest, most attentive and caring doctors. I have seen every one of the doctors at the practice and every one of them listened, answered my questions and cared throughout my entire pregnancy. Dr Maanavi, she is just simply amazing, I couldnt ask for a better Dr in my corner.Yes, you may have to wait a little to be seen for your appointment but honestly, I have never experienced anything different with any Drs practice, I also dont see that as a deal breaker to receiving excellent care - These Drs are amazing and CARE, ignore all of the negative reviews, simply not accurate.

It’s really easy to transfer there. The phone receptionist is not always available during business hours but would try best to call back. However, Dr. Kinder was really cold. She expects patients to either follow their rules or go to other providers. She doesn’t believe in alternative options, basically she does not want to give pregnant women a choice for what is the best for them. I would like to opt out of level II ultrasound (instead, just have regular growth ultrasound that can be done in less than 5 mins), glucose challenge test (instead, have glucometer at home to track glucose four times a day), and blood type and rubella antibody tests ( bc I was tested for my first pregnancy and the delivery hospital will test blood type anyway once I am admitted). But she refused to accept any of these reasonable alternatives and told me to go find someone else. The glucola contains questionable chemicals for the health of me and my baby. If I fail, then I will have to use the glucometer at home to monitor anyway. Ultrasound Research on animals did suggest disturbing side effects that made me want to avoid 30-45 mins prolonged exposure by a level II ultrasound. I didn’t get to meet other doctors there. But I don’t like the textbook style of Dr. Kinder.

The doctors are all amazing in this practice. However, they need to do something about their receptionists. Every time I call they are always rude! I recently called to try to re schedule an appointment and the receptionist kept talking over me and wouldn’t give me any available dates. I told her I would just cancel for now since the dates I could go were “not available” and she wasn’t giving me any other dates. She didn’t even let me finish my sentence when I was hung up on. They definitely need to do better and fix their attitude.

Moved to the area and began at this practice at 32 weeks pregnant. Every appointment ran 10-20 min behind schedule, and when the OB was in the room with me (max 5 min), it felt like they couldn’t get me out of there fast enough. They advocated interventions including cervix checks and induction scheduling at 36 weeks, and were not especially supportive of my desire to go into labor spontaneously and without an epidural. Ultimately switched to a different practice after 3 appointments.

Im surprised to see the negative reviews. This is a highly skilled group of womens physicians. I would go as far as saying the best in the DMV area. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Pregnancy can be trying times. We sometimes tend to take the frustrations and anxiety of pregnancy out on other people. If you want a highly qualified, kind and professional OBGYN doctors for women by women this is the group. Its no coincidence majority of women physicians and other healthcare workers choose this group exclusively. They are hands down physicians choice for a reason. I trusted them with mine and my babys life and they went above and beyond standard of care. I sincerely believe had I gone elsewhere my outcome would have been different. Im truly honored and feel very lucky to be cared for by Dr. Maanavi and the rest of the group and saying I owe them my life is not a hyperbole.

I had very bad experience in the labor. I went to the hospital at 6:00am and I had all the signs of delivery: my water was broken at 5:00am, the cervic dilation was 6cm, and I had contractions every 3-5 minutes. I did not take epidural and this is my second pregnancy. All these signs indicated that I will deliver the baby soon. Dr. Anderson came to see me and she told me she had another patient and she would do c-section and will be back to me. At that time I did not know that she be late for me. I was very patient despite the pain until 8:40am. I called the nurse and told her the baby is pushing so hard call the doctor to come. The nurse called her several times. Dr. Anderson did not come until 9:15am. It was the hardest and the longest 35 minutes in my life. I was about to deliver my baby before she came and the pain was extreme. I asked the nurse to call any doctor to come to help me but she keep saying Dr. Anderson is coming and asking me to take breath and avoid pushing. Dr. Anderson arrived and the baby get out within 5 minutes. In addition, Dr. Anderson was not kind at all during the labor!!!Nova Groups for Women has 5 doctors and it is not my fault to be in very high pain as only one doctor was available at that time and she was busy with another patient. I will NEVER go back to this GYN.

I had issues with the front desk receptionist and ended up finding a different OB. I had a question for a nurse and the receptionist took my name and number. I was also taken aback after calling in April and only having an appointment available at the end of August at either 8:30 am or 4 pm, nothing in between. After two days I called back (note that I had already heard back from two other doctors by this time) and the receptionist indicated that the nurse usually doesnt call new patients back, which is fine, but the receptionist never gave me a straight answer as to why they took my information in the first place if the nurse was never going to return my call. Also, all of a sudden there are numerous appoints available that day in August. So, the receptionists capricious attitude in combination with acting like a nurse who knows medical information were both major red flags.
