Edit: I had attempted to contact Vector to resolve my concern prior to posting my review. Instead they were rude, refused to correct their own billing errors, and refused to see me, claiming it was because of an outstanding bill that shouldve been fully covered by my ARHome insurance if not for Vectors billing errors, when it was made very clear by me and my insurance provider that they were at fault for the errors, and it was evident that I shouldnt have been billed in the first place. If Vector treats other trans people with disabilities the same way they treated me, its unacceptable, and they have the audacity to try and contest my review after all that, as stated in their reply? This is far from the only issue Ive had with Vector and the care providers that work there, but its the issue that finally led me to seek care elsewhere. Ive also had issues with rude receptionists, and the care providers being dismissive of or straight-up ignoring my medical concerns when brought to their attention.I used to recommend Vector to my friends, but I could never live with myself if doing so subjected them to the same treatment I received at the hands of the people working at Vector and their billing agency.

TLDR: crazy cancellation policy, rude staff, bad billing practices, greed, and lying. If you want the full tea read below.I don’t think Ive ever been ghosted by a doctor before until now. I have tried to call multiple times, left multiple messages, all in attempts to see if I am still a patient or not.Do yourself a favor and sort by newest reviews. Theres a reason that all the good reviews were from years ago and anything recent has been negative.Ive been going here since 2020 and at first, the place was a godsend. The nurse practitioner was a little rude, so I quickly switched to a different doctor for my hormones. But the primary care doctor, Dr. Stephanie Ho, was absolutely amazing! She listened to your concerns, took time with each patient, and made sure to be thorough. It really felt like I was blasted back to the 90s again when every doctor was that way before greed took over. But Vector Health And Wellness was not immune to greed and quickly they started to change their ways.First, they had crazy billing practices. They wouldn’t send you a bill nor tell you had a balance until it was high enough to deny you the visit. It was a 45-minute drive for me to get to the office, so it always felt like peer pressure as you now had to pay hundreds out of pocket or don’t be seen and get a cancellation fee. This issue is still not really fixed to this day. They change billers, but they still rarely send out bills and you still have to prepare for large random bills.Next, was the cancellation policy. One of the strictest in all of the medical field. Three strikes and you are out type of deal. They never fall off and on your fourth, you and your family are terminated as a patient. You would think that this wouldn’t be much of an issue, but life happens. Car breaks down? Strike! Emergency pops up? Strike! Anything else that happens and you are fired.Don’t believe the lie as well that you can just change it over to a virtual appointment. A few appointments before I got my final strike, I told Dr. Ho that it was stressful with the policy as I drive far and anything can happen. She stated that there was really no reason to miss and if I am unable to make it on time or have other issues to just call and change it to virtual. She made it sound so easy, but in reality, this was a lie to set me up for failure. The day of my appointment, I was unable to make the drive in time. I had some issues over the weekend with transportation. My appointment was at 9 am on a Monday and was for a follow-up for my visits to two specialists (which I did attend). They open at 8 am and I called at 8:30 am to switch it over to virtual. Immediately, the staff said there was no way that could happen and started to berate me for calling in so late. I told them what Dr. Ho said but they still denied me. They then went to ask her and called me back to let me know that she said no. I asked the staff if it felt like Dr. Ho no longer wanted me as a patient and the staff told me, “that’s probably what she is thinking.”There it was, I fell right into the trap. She sat there and told me it was super easy to swap over to a virtual appointment and basically there was no reason to ever miss an appointment. Then turned her back, it was an easy way to get rid of a patientAfter this point, I never heard back. I received one voicemail the day of telling me they made a decision on my account and to call them back. I have called five times now to get that decision and left multiple voicemails. But nobody has ever returned my phone call. When I do try to call now it rings a couple of times and then hangs up.I don’t care what the decision is, just let me know so I can find another doctor. From what I understand, they are supposed to send you a certified letter and three months prescription but this was not done either. I do believe that I was abandoned as a patient.Overall, Dr Ho can be a good doctor. But do not lie to yourself, they are a business that’s purely built to profit off the LGBTQ community.

This doctors office exists to profit off queer people who are too scared to go to a better and more typical primary care doctor. If you need to see them for a follow up, expect to wait up to and over 3 weeks for an appointment. And as others have mentioned, the cancellation policy is cruel and greedy. This is a completely for profit business, with a successful model of targeting queers and their fears, make no mistake about it. Go build a relationship with almost any other doctor and you will have been cared for better. If you have chronic pain FORGET ABOUT IT, you will have you pain needlessly extended for months because of how slow this place is.

Staff is rude and spiteful. Switched doctors for convenience because the drive is long and I’m not the best driver. I thought I’d use my husbands doctor for a few years due to him being really close to where I live and they were so rude on the phone and said I can’t ever come back because I switched doctors. That’s just ridiculous. And they were spiteful and rude. And sometimes Michelle the nurse practitioner could be super rude at times as well . I wouldn’t go here unless you have no other options . They also have a long list of things they will drop you for if you don’t follow to a T. It’s like they don’t understand people have a life outside of their gender affirming care .

I agree with others that the cancellation policy feels extreme. My insurance was canceled which i was unaware of until someone called me 24 hours before my appointment, at which that point it’s too late to cancel without incurring a $25 fee. Just feels ridiculous, discouraging, and another set back to getting the care I need. Every place I’ve worked with that deals with insurance checks first thing Monday morning to make sure it is active. Again, this just feels ridiculous. The doctors here are great and it sucks having to start over somewhere new again.

Never go here. I absolutely love the doctors and they’re some of the only ones that have ever treated me with actual respect, but the missed appointments policy is absolutely cruel. I was handed a letter and told I’d been dismissed after 5 late appointments over a course of 3 years. Multiple of which I had called before hand and one of which I my car literally broke down. Keeping in mind I had two around appointments every two months and payed my late fees on time every time. I was not given any help finding a new doctor and was left with 3 ongoing time sensitive prescriptions with no way to refill. For a clinic that is supposed to be for a marginalized community that already has historically some of the most difficultly navigating the medical industry in the US, let alone Arkansas, this is extremely insensitive and careless. I fully understand that being one of the only hrt clinics in the area, they have a high amount of patients trying to get in, which is why I always tried to notify and explain any issues with appointments, but things happen and a clinic that is fully unwilling to work with patients who are already dealing with barriers to entry is unfit to actually care for the trans community. I’m sure the reply will be to remind me of the policy and that I agreed to it. I am fully aware. It does not mean that I think other people should, as I did not sign up for being left to fully start from scratch with my ongoing medical care. No ability to get my prescriptions until I go through the process of finding a new doctor who might not even give them to me, no ability to get a letter for upcoming surgery and no access to my doctors that I’ve seen for three years. I’m sorry, bc I genuinely loved going here but everyone needs to know this is how they treat peopleEdit: I was one of these patients with barriers to access that their reply refers to. I am now having to go without some of my needed treatment bc I don’t have other accessible options in this state and because I am a neurodivergent trans person who has to work unconventional hours to afford living. I want to be clear that I want all trans ppl to access healthcare and that also needs to mean taking into account our ongoing needs. What good is getting in the door if the door is simply closed on you if you have any difficulty

Very disappointing experience. Vector is absolutely perpetuating the inaccessibility of trans healthcare in the South. I agree with others comments about the harsh cancellation policy. Vector may respond small-business-this, strict-policies-that agreements-whatever, but no rebuttal excuses such steep and hypocritical policies. When I cancelled (once) for having COVID, I had to pay $25, but when Dr. Green cancelled (multiple times), the only repercussions were retakes on my labs, which was more for me to pay, and gaps in my prescription refills. Dr. Green also rushes appointments, passing any questions patients may have off to overworked MAs, nurses, and lab workers. Calls to Vectors front office will be met by Alexandria, who is great and probably deserves a raise, or by Rebecca, who has no tact and poor customer service skills for her age and experience. As a receptionist worker in a receptionist family, I do not appreciate or endorse Rebecca and Dr. Greens curt and dismissive dispositions, especially in such a vulnerable area of healthcare. All in all, Vector is an inaccessible place to pursue healthcare from both time and financial investment perspectives. Look elsewhere and save yourself the six month onboarding and the unforeseen fees and cancellations. Personally, I would rather not owe my transition to a place like Vector.

I love Dr. Ho, she is the BEST doctor I have ever had hands down but I am switching doctors. In the last few months Ive had multiple issues with the administrative side. The first issue arose after calling and asking for my prescriptions to be refilled and not had it go through. Calling a second time about it did the trick and I would get confirmation it was sent in from the office, then the pharmacy right after. I dont know if they forgot to call it in the first time or if they had issues with the pharmacy. I was also charged a different copay than my wife at one point ($75 primary care vs $35) even though I carry both our insurance and it is the exact same plan. I was told if it was in error I would receive a refund, but I never did. The final straw was last week. I had an appointment scheduled as telehealth that I unfortunately had to reschedule. When the appointment time came and passed I called asking about checking in, they told me the appointment was scheduled as an in person and if I wanted to reschedule I had to pay a $100 missed appointment fee. (To be fair I rescheduled the first time within 24 hours and it was probably two missed fees rolled together.) But either way I shouldnt have to pay a missed appointment fee because they changed the appointment format without telling me. I dont know if its because they have new staff or some other issue but I have lost trust in their office and while I will miss Dr. Ho I do not feel comfortable coming back. This has caused issues with my prescriptions and I am going to have to go without one until I can get a new doctor.

I transferred my primary health care to Vector when I moved to Arkansas in 2020. Has a former EMT. I have worked around many doctors and nurses. I am also very particular about any physicians that I work with about my healthcare. The staff and medical professionals at Vector have been top-notch and professional in every way. Dr. Ho and Michelle have taken the time do listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. They are compassionate and interested in me as a person, not a medical problem to solve. The nurses are amazing. I have had so many I cant remember their names. But they have treated me with respect and kindness. The staff are friendly and helpful.I appreciate the care I have gotten as a patient and the respect I have been shown as a person.

I see multiple practitioners at vector regarding a very complicated medical situation that the majority of other care providers have been unwilling to thoroughly address. I am always impressed, first and foremost, by the aggressive visibility & inclusion this staff practices advocating for quality care for trans and queer folks and reproductive justice. Secondarily, I feel like my concerns are fully addressed regardless of their complexity. I am so grateful that Vector takes a proactive approach to providing care to the queer & trans population in AR and surrounding areas. Ive never seen this level of thoroughness or integrity prior to vector’s opening. After so many folks were stranded by PP swift departure and failure to provide any continuity of care to its extremely marginalized population of patients, I was happy to see another option become available to folks seeking affirming, reliable care. Nothing is going to please everyone, but Vector comes as close as I can imagine a medical clinic coming. It’s definitely worth the wait.

I went to this doctor in 2020. I was super happy to find I could get full care from them, as I have polyps and have been on testosterone. I called them one day and asked if I could set up an appointment that week because I was bleeding and feeling very sick, and I only felt comfortable to be seen by them. I was rudely told to find another health care provider for women because I had an outstanding balance of over $300 that I had not been made aware of.I have tried multiple times to email them to get an update on this balance because they later informed me it was because they had filed with my insurance wrong. They never reply. They have begun sending mail to my parents as well rather than me, which is frustrating as hell, because in doing so that could have OUTED ME to my family, had they not known. & I am not a minor so I dont know what their excuse is for sending billing to my family that they should have corrected over a year ago.

I feel so blindsided by my multiple horrible experiences with this office. One of the worst decisions I’ve made was to give them a try. It took them literally 7 sticks all over both of my arms/wrists before they got a vein for my blood work (never been an issue anywhere else). For this and a few other red flags I decided to switch to another office and doctor. Rosa said she would send my overly expensive blood work results to my new doctor which never happened even though I called a week in advance of my appointment at the new place. My blood work at the new place was supposed to be compared to my previous tests at Vector. I got to my new doctors office and had to start over with the blood work because they hadn’t received anything. They just billed me this month for an appointment back in December 2020 which I paid for in office. I was expecting such a great experience after reading all of the reviews but wow, they cannot stop screwing me over.
