Great experience from when I called to book the appointment to the actual appointment. Smaller specialized office with very kind and warm staff. Reception, nurses, and the doctor, I saw Dr. Gomez, all very thorough and really walk you through things. Other doctor’s office’s leave you to figure some things out. They are all very engaging and personable, they make you feel warm and actually listen to you. Even the pharmacist I felt went above and beyond. It really is a one-stop-shop in regard to vaccines, labs, treatments, exams, and on-site pharmacy. I really liked my first visit at Midway Specially Care Center.

I recently had the privilege of meeting with Dr. Isabel Gomez and I was so pleased with the level of care and compassion that she and her office staff gave to me. What a fantastic place for patients suffering from health issues! From the moment I walked in, the staff was responsive and helpful. I did not have to wait at all, and the doctor was very prompt and thorough.Dr. Gomez took her time with me asking questions, and understanding my medical and personal history, and was very calming and reassuring. I received a call from this office last week to arrange an office visit with Dr. Gomez, which I agreed to despite my previous dissatisfaction with another provider at this practice and my overall negative perception of Floridas healthcare system. However, upon arriving for my scheduled appointment today at 1 pm, I was informed that the office was closed due to an emergency involving the provider and a flood in the office. I was then informed by a staff member, who appeared to be middle-aged and of foreign descent, that I had been contacted via voicemail regarding the closure. However, the message I received only mentioned coming in at 12 pm for lab work, which I found frustrating given my professional commitments. I explained that I had already undergone routine lab work related to my medical conditions, as well as additional labs ordered by another provider. Despite this, I was informed that these labs could not be utilized, and I was rescheduled for tomorrow at 11:30 am. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this decision and asserted that I would not be rescheduled without my consent. I also questioned the policy of not accepting recently completed labs. In conclusion, my experience with this office has been disappointing, and I have decided not to return and will send some emails to notify senior leadership of this subpar treatment!

Came in This morning for labs and Michael was great and got me in and out. Front desk was able to get me on for this appointment and in earlier to review my results .

First visit and the staff, nurse, and doctor were fantastic. I am thankful when good service is evident.

Dr. Rodrigues is awesome and he shows real and honest interest in my health. The staff is also great and very friendly.

I switched from AHF to midway a few months ago, the service here is excellent, the staff is always friendly and professional, Dr Gomez is very knowledgeable and treats patient very respectfully, this is the best decision I have ever made to take care of my health, Midway specialty care is great

I am really happy I joined this practice as a patient. Everyone is so friendly and nice. Dr. Grossman is extremely thorough and genuinely concerned with my well-being. I have had no trouble getting an appointment when I need it. They use a secure patient portal that makes communicating with them fast and efficient and all my information is in one place that is easy to get to. The medical assistants are great. Adriana has such a nurturing energy...I always have to get a hug from her when I am there. I cant say enough good things about this office.

I recently moved to California and I must say that I absolutely miss Midway Specialty Care Center. I havent been able to find any place that comes close to offering the quality of care and comfort I received at Midway. Its so easy to take for granted what is readily accessible. I personally thank EVERYONE there for all they have done!

This place is absolutely AMAZING! I just relocated here for work from Dallas and I needed a new primary and my friend recommended Midway Specialty Care and they feel like family! I have only been here 3 times and I feel like I have been going here for ever. Joseph was amazing at making me feel so comfortable and he is the funniest person I have ever met. The most amazing Health Care office I have ever visited. They are always prompt with your appointments. Super profesional. Beautiful decorated rooms, always clean. They truly care for you, they go above and beyond. They are an extended family for me at this point. Visit them you won’t regret it!

The individuals are amazing, Teresa Dryden so beautiful with my mother, asking questions concerned about moms health and paying so much attention to details. The nurse Denise was so polite, professional and helpful with Mom and making her feel welcome and assuring her that everything is clean specially due to her health. I had been coming to this office for 2 years. The office staff and nurses are great.The providers however were really a let down. During my last visit in March 2021, I arrived about 10 minutes late to my visit and that gave Dr. Grossman the license to be completely rude, dismissive and unprofessional.I wanted his recommendation regarding therapy because I had been feeling a bit anxious but he was halfway outside the door and unbothered so I was unable to ask him.Here is his response he sent me through the portal:“When you had another issue I was not able to spend any more time. You said you would send a portal message.
Christine tells me you felt you were having mental health issues.  I am not a mental health provider.  If  you are having issues in that area you need to contact a mental health provider.”Not only was his response callous and dismissive but also arrogant and condescending. Apparently he believes that I am under the assumption that primary care doctors are also mental health professionals.That shouldn’t be how you treat your patients. Shame on you.

I recently moved from DC and wanted a gay friendly primary care physician here in Fort Lauderdale. Dr Grossman is fantastic. His staff worked with me to prepare a detailed health review before the appointment. Dr Grossman reviewed it with me carefully and suggested some medication changes. He also helped me save a ton of money one of my prescriptions. His office is extremely welcoming to lgbtq folks and Dr Grossman has a lot of experience with the issues we face. His staff is efficient and kind and Im very pleased to have him as my primary care physician.

I love going to Midway, it always feels like a home away from home. Feels totally inviting and safe place to be. I smile and take a deep breath of air and look forward to another great visit. I dont know where i would be without the facility it has helped me achieve my lifes dreams and would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only draw back is there should be more locations but the staff there cant be duplicated they are the best.

Everyone is so personable! They know who I am and remember many details that aren’t only listed in my charts. It is truly the most inclusive LGBTQIA medical office I have gone to! Blood draws are painless and accurate with only one stick needed and very prompt in all services and quick to communicate!

I had to wait an insane amount of time to get my first appointment. However, probably the best actual doctors visit experience I’ve had to date. The staff was all extremely welcoming and kind. I felt free to discuss and issues I was having and didn’t feel like I was being rushed through my appointment. Looking forward to continuing to go here.

Very disorganized office staff and medical assistant staff. Practice has not provided referrals information as promised. Did not explain testing procedures at all. I had made an appointment with a physician but it was a nurse practitioner that saw me. He did not have the authority to do much so the visit was essentially a waste of time and resources. Medical records once were accessible via their Healow app but this information seems to have vanished.

These people are great. They respect you and treat you with dignity and really listen to your issues. There can be issues rarely of following up with they always get in touch in the end. I highly recommend checking them out. Dr Tojar is amazing especially.

I had to switch Heath care providers after my last Doc quit taking my insurance, I was super concerned to start all over - but no need to fear! The whole office is great. Dr. Grossmans, Dr. Joe the best and very through! Thanks

I’ve been in this clinic for almost two years. I spent my first year under the MAGNIFICENT care of DR Howard who unfortunately relocated due to cuts to the clinic that was limiting his care specifically to his trans patients. Unfortunately. Any who after he left we had a sitting NP who left 3 months after becuase in his words “this place is running on fumes” and I laughed it off at then but truly understood very soon. Fast forward to who we have now which is the biggest joke I have ever met in my life. A male NP who writes all his recommendations letters and medications under the sitting doctor raj. ONE MONTH into his new position This nurse left for vacation without informing his patients for a month ONE MONTH and every time you would call they would tell you “you’re gonna have to wait till he comes back from vacation”, didn’t leave anyone in charge of his patients and I along with about 4 other girls(that I spoke to) had to wait until he was back AND available for us (which was another 2-3 weeks due to “HIGH volume patients” to get our medications prescription renewed. I recently had surgery and I left my entire bottle of medication of progesterone at the hospital which was lost and I called explaining to him what had happened and he said he couldn’t do anything (little did I know he has to get permission from the ACTUAL doctor and wasn’t able to reach them at the moment but just wrote me off with a no) I called again pressing my concerns and the guy lost his mind over the phone and discharged me under the premise I was “rude” . I’ve had ups and downs in health care providers that are just upright “unavailable “ or will just listen for basic symptoms and give a generic response. I used to be so happy with midway and their staff under Howard now it’s turned into a literal jokes I strongly urge anyone to just look elsewhere in the Wilton manor area there are 5 other doctors WITH ACTUAL TITLES who can treat anyone in lgbtq community’s this clinic is just a relic of the past . I’m sorry for anyone who has to deal with him but NURSE joao Rodriguez is a joke and will not be able to help anyone without his sitter approving his signatures.

They are very professional and patient friendly

Dr. Howard Grossman is an absolute superstar. There are just not enough great things to say about him. He compassionately took care of dozens of my friends in NYC for the past 20+ years. We are so lucky to have this empathetic, intelligent and nationally known physician in our community. I highly recommend him for HIV and all infectious disease care, PrEP, and general internal medicine.

Im one of those patients who has failed to adhere to their medications.. repeatedly.. long story.. life happens.. but for those who might be experiencing these same issues... I have felt in the past that im a doctors worst patient.. So much so that i was far too ashamed and embarrassed to go back to my Dr in Hollywood.... time easily flew by (nearly two years!) but with each growing day I knew I was either going to have to see someone soon.... or die. Good thing I did too.. my labs with Dr Grossman showed my Cd4 t-cells had sunk to a low of 36!! While major depression also being the major factor standing in the way of my adherence to my medications properly Dying wasnt an issue..but I would rather put a gun to my head than go out in that manner. I did my homework in searching for a new Dr.. It appears to have paid off as I am extatic with my new surroundings there.., i went in very nervous and had anxiety through the roof! His wonderful nurse AND counselor had me feeling at ease... and they didnt send me off to some other location to do lab work!! That and the ability to pick up my meds there is a HUGE plus! Dr Grossman is thuroigh, very personable, really seems to care.. and I can tell he has experience with difficult patients like myself and seems very understanding.. i think he and his staff are going to be amazing! My first impressions are everything I was hoping for!
