Planned Parenthood - Gainesville Health Center

From the initial phone call, to the office staff, and the overall visit, I had an incredibly positive experience. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I would recommend. I called after 1 pm and they were able to get me in same day, and I didnt wait long in the waiting room or the exam room...and I cant stress enough how kind and friendly everyone was. Made me feel super comfortable.

Had my nexplanon removed and a new one placed, this is a great place to have it done. Every staff member I spoke to was polite, friendly, and makes an effort to make sure you feel welcome and safe. The process for making an appointment online and completing forms was a breeze. Ive been to a few different gynecologists in the area and this one is by far the best one Ive visited, both in terms of quality of care and atmosphere.

Every single staff member was warm and welcoming. Ive gone to many different Planned Parenthood locations in different states, and have never had an appointment as low-stress as mine today. I was super anxious getting HRT with everything going on in our state right now, but all worries were eased and you could tell they are well-trained professionals through and through.

I had a better experience at Planned Parenthood than Ive had at most doctors and Gynos in terms of speed, compassion, professionalism, and thoroughness, and patience. I didnt feel rushed, and the staff was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. Their online portal is very quick and easy to use to see all of your information, test results and communicate with them.I would go here for all of my health care if I could.

Absolutely amazing experience here. Even with the wait going a little past my appointment time, the atmosphere of the office is enough to distract you. It has such a beautiful charm not only on the outside but especially the very well-kept inside. My nurse made me feel extremely comfortable considering this was my first time getting tested, I was very nervous. The bathroom has “essentials” to take, along with a bag they gave me and more information on staying safe and medications. It was pretty pricey without insurance, but was worth having peace of mind. I respect and thank this office so much for the warm welcome and any of my personal needs will be done here from now on. Thank you planned parenthood!

Extremely understanding, patient, discreet, soothing, and compassionate ladies! I cannot say enough great things about them. The atmosphere is very calming. They knowledgeable and informative without being condescending or insensitive. I will never forget the kindness I was shown in such a difficult and heartbreaking moment in my life.

I’ve posted a review before but I feel the need to share again. I get blood work every few months due to my testosterone and I absolutely hate needles and it’s always a huge deal to go get it done. But the nurses that helped with my blood draw were absolutely wonderful. They helped me feel relaxed, when I felt nauseous during they held an alcohol wipe to my nose which immediately took away my nauseousness! And after I still felt light headed so they sat with me and made sure I was okay before I left. They all genuinely care about me and that makes me feel awesome. And that type of care is exactly why I choose planned parenthood! And it is always nice to NEVER be misgendered or deadnamed!

So I guess they decided to pack up and leave early. Both website and sign outside says open until 7pm on Thursdays. Im here at the location at 5pm, and no one is here! I have my appointment and I guess it just doesnt matter? Unprofessional and insane! Fix your times if theyre not accurate or, idk, be here?? Wasting my time and my gas.

The best experience I’ve ever had with any sort of medical office. The staff was overwhelmingly welcoming and friendly. I was very nervous going in, but their attitudes toward me put me at ease. I could not have had a better experience. The Nurse Practitioner was so nice and caring toward my needs. She explained everything thoroughly and in ways that I could understand. Not to mention, if you’re under 19, birth control and a number of other things are free. I regret not going sooner.

Went into the clinic today, drove all the way from Jacksonville because the Gainesville location had appointments this week. So happy I did. Everyone was extremely nice and they joked around with me and made me feel really comfortable. Cannot tell you how great it is to find people who actually enjoy the job and can speak to it with passion and knowledge. Would definitely make the 75 mile drive again for all my lady part needs :) 10 stars!!

Ive been going here for 8 years, mainly because there are only 2 locations in the state of florida and this one is the closest to me (1-1/2hr closer). I have had 7 out of 8 enjoyable visits here. They staff is nice but I have experienced one rude staff member.Overall the ladies are very nice and very welcoming and you can always talk to your doctor about any issues with staff members. I feel very comfortable here! This Place is very clean, everyone is very respectful, judgement free place! 20x better then any federal or state health department. They do not force PAP, STD, Or any other tests onto you, they will educate you about your health and give you much information. Birth control is no hassle. You can now order online and get delivered thought mail!♥️👍👌 Recommended!

To say these folks go above and beyond is an understatement. They literally helped me scrape myself together. Thank you to each and every one of you. Your kindness and compassion saved me. I’ll never forget you all for being a support for me in my lowest, most shameful moment.

I have been part of their teen program for about half a year now and they did an okay job. Every visit had very long wait times past the appointment time as well as very long waits in the room after youve been called back. My last experience with them was the worst yet, though. I called about something somewhat urgent and they told me theyd give me a call back within 48 hours. I did this three times with no response. When I called the last time, two weeks later, I was told I was never called back because they dont offer those services. By this point, what was just a small urgency has become a very serious health problem and all thanks to their lack of professionalism. Had I known this 2 weeks ago, I would have gone to a different doctor.

The best doctors appointment Ive ever had. Adorable building, online check-in, no wait time, and very friendly staff.

I have always had really positive experiences here, but my last one was especially great. I received a lot of information to help my situation and have already experienced improved quality of life due to the medical advice I received. If you are looking for a facility that will focus on educating you and spending the time to get to know your specific situation, this is the place to go.

My experience with Planned Parenthood has been nothing but wonderful. I have been a patient with this facility for over a year and I have never had any issues. The women I have encountered who work here are there to help and they know how important this place is to our community. I have and will continue to support Planned Parenthood and this facility, as it is one of the few places women (& men!) can go to for their healthcare needs and know that they are safe and in good hands.

This is the best visit I have ever had to a doctor! Every single staff member I had was completely wonderful including the lady at the front desk. They talked me through everything and let me know of different methods I could use which my precious doctors had never told me about. I will absolutely be coming back again. Thank you so much you all were so sweet!

I cant give enough praise to the wonderful women who work here. I recently got new health insurance and my old doctor wouldnt take it. Planned parenthood is the only one in town. They were kind and professional. After a few bad experience at my old doctors I was a little nervous going in but the women of planned parenthood created me with smiles and kindness. They were genuinely concerned about my wellbeing and not some payout from pharmaceutical companies. They asked questions evey doctor should be requires to ask. Ive never enjoyed the yearly trip to the gyno but planned parenthood made me feel relaxed and comforted. Its nice knowing that there are doctors out there who care so much about their patients and put their wellbeing above all else. Thank you planned parenthood!

Everyone here is so nice and helpful!!! i have never felt so comfortable at the doctors. They are very efficient but still make you feel welcomed and comfortable, I am so grateful to have this affordable healthcare available to me

I went to planned parenthood for a simple BV test. My doctor told me to wait a couple minutes while she did the test, came back a couple minutes later said “yep you have it, here are some antibiotics” so I payed my 75$ and left. Two months later I get a bill from quest diagnostics for 206$ for TWO bv test. So, i called planned parenthood but you can only call the appointment line so I keep getting transferred to a number that’s not actually billing. Later when I finally get ahold of a billing person “Michelle” , she can’t answer any of my questions. When I ask why they had to run the test once in the office and twice through quest she just answers with “ they just have to test it” and then she tells me it’s because of a premium problem which I didn’t know about because I had told the Gainesville receptionist not to use my insurance on file (I always get charged a lot for test if I use it rather than pay out of pocket) . So a couple days go by and I get a bill from Gainesville planned parenthood for 92$ because the grace period on my premium was up. Not only did they fail to contact me for this , they failed to contact me with the results from quest . They never told me they were sending the test to quest, they never said they were sending them anywhere. I thought the dr testing them there in front of me would have be sufficient enough. Now I owe 377$ for one simple bv test. I was a college student making nothing. Your communication and customer service is awful. Will never go back .

I honestly dont know where to beginning, this was the best going to the doctor experience I have ever had. The ladies in the office, starting from front desk to doctor was immaculate, they were all sweet and made sure i was as comfortable as possible and they over achieved.Thank you, NP Casey and other staff that I cant thank enough

I have tremendous respect for those who work here. Services are free for teens and everything is confidential. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable - free condoms, lubricant, payment programs for contraceptives, etc. Please visit this clinic and support Planned Parenthood!

I came in to renew my birth control. My appointment was at 10:30 and I was out by 10:45. They were very friendly, helpful, and speedy.

I drive up from Ocala for this planned parenthood and it’s more than worth it! It’s exceptionally clean and the people who work here are the best!

The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the online appointment scheduler...It took a little bit of digging to find out how to book online and then wasnt able to find out how to cancel or see about changing appointment date/time

SUCH kind and helpful staff!! Very adamant about making you feel comfortable and explaining things thoroughly, even things I hadnt asked or thought about.

I had a wonderful experience the nurse practitioners are amazing and the receptionist is awesome.

Amazing. So clean and tidy and everyone was super friendly and pacient and helped with ANY questions I had.

Dont expect to be seen on time with an appointment. 45+ minute wait with no warning or explanation. Just be prepared to wait.

Showed up over an hour before they closed but they refused to help me.
