Take care of you as a whole and not as a statistic. Many providers see you as a statistic based upon your racial background, and treat you based upon those statistics instead of listening and focusing on you as an individual. I am from the Caribbean and this provider knew from the start she could not treat me as she would an American patient and that many health issues are based upon ones environmental background and/or ones genetics.
