Planned Parenthood - Ithaca Health Center

I can’t even describe how good of an experience I had here. I drove over an hour to come to this specific Planned Parenthood, and I am so glad that I did. I came here for gender-affirming care and everyone was excellent, respectful, and kind, from the desk staff to the doctors and nurses. They treated me like a human being and listened to me and spent time explaining everything to me. I would 100% recommend this office to everyone.

This office is lovely! The people that work here are helpful and kind and understanding. Would recommend coming here, I drive an hour to come to this specific planned parenthood and it’s so so worth the drive.

The NP is saw was phenomenal and I felt well cared for the whole time- enough for me to feel like writing a review! There is a bit of a wait time as other have mentioned. The staff is all very friendly. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the service I received yesterday. I went in for a Nexplanon replacement and the whole staff was very friendly and professional. My first insertion at a OBGYN office in CT I was severely bruised and in so much pain I couldn’t move my arm. That is not the case after coming to PPH in Ithaca! I’m not bruised at all nor do I feel any pain. The Dr. was not pushy about the topic of kids and was LGBTQ friendly to my spouse and I. Very wonderful experience.

Ive never waited long to be seen here, and their staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They work on a sliding fee scale of need be, and work with many insurances.

Cant even go there without feeling intimidated by 10+ protesters outside

Ive always had good experiences here even recommended to others, but the quality of care has become very poor. Fair warning none of the medical professionals are wearing masks anymore. And with a room full of patients wearing them no less. Also out right refused to work with me on a medication inactive ingredient Im allergic to. And instead suggested a med with known long term side effects. Im glad there is somewhere doing abortion still. But if u need up to date birth control or hrt care or really anything else. I suggest going else where.

Everyone is nice. I have never waited to long to be seen. I have had issues with some of the doctor giving me false information. I have had to see specialist for no reason because there staff werent properly trained on transgender issues. It hard to get ahold of them and I am always on hold for at least 2 minutes when I call them. I do like this office. They offer a lot of support for many different people.

Thoroughly read over your patients paperwork before seeing them. It looks like some updated training needs to be done (DE&I). Everyone DO NOT have the same history or experiences.

I Called on January 5th 2018 for a appointment for possibly getting on HRT , i got voice mail and left a message for a woman named devin. I wanted till January 10th and spoke to the operator and she assured me she email this Devin about me, i also left a 2nd voice mail. Its now march 6th and no return phone call yet. Luckily I found a wonderful doctor in buffalo who helped me get my HRT medication. The biggest decision of my life and this Devin in the transgender services cant return 1 easy phone call.

My appointment was for 3:00. They never came to get me until 3:30. They said someone will be in in a few minutes. Its now 4:20 and I have yet to see anyone. I dobt think I will be coming back

The people working here are wonderful. But appointments take forever. My appointment was for 450 and now it’s 610 and I still haven’t been seen.

Everyone is very kind and helpful, and they take the time to explain everything and answer questions. I have had nothing but good experiences here and I definitely recommend this office.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The only reason why I didnt give a full 5 stars is because the wait time is very long.

I’ve always felt so cared for & seen every step of the process here. Forever grateful for this service & the folks at PP Ithaca making sure I’m healthy.
