Planned Parenthood - Las Vegas West Charleston

Amazing! I went in to get the implant in my arm removed and was super nervous about the process. I was in and out in less than an hour! Marissa was the one that took me back to the room and she was super sweet! We talked for a minute and she made me feel a lot better. Then Tracy came in for the procedure and she really talked me through it all and made sure I was comfortable. Because we talked through the whole process, it went by really quick. Im very thankful for them both. Receptionist was really nice with checking in/out. Very happy with this appointment! Thank you PP!!

I’m not sure why I am seeing all of these negative reviews on here. Maybe there is just a lot of haters that are trying to make Planned Parenthood look bad to the rest of the world. So i thought I would post my experience. I went in to get a routine pap, sign up for womens health care coverage, and to get STD testing done. Everyone at the clinic was super friendly, nonjudgmental, and gave me a whole lot of helpful information. The practitioner who was working with me was funny and super knowledgeable. I think its important for people to realize that reproductive health and learning about your reproductive health is not a bad thing. It’s super important and totally normal. Anyways thanks Planned Parenthood for being so helpful and so kind.

Worst experience, ALWAYS! on hold for over 30 mins, with no answer.. cant make app online.. this place and the East location is even worse!!!!! I WORK HEATHCARE AND THIS IS SO UNFORTUNATE AND UNACCEPTABLE.

My search began through my insurance providers app. I was in search of a womens health physician and this office was number one in the results given by the insurance. The number listed was for a Planned Parenthood call center located in another state (there was no number available for the actual office). They informed me that my insurance is accepted by this location and proceeds to help me schedule an appointment. The day before my appointment I call my insurance to verify that my visit is covered and ask how much to expect to pay for this visit out of pocket. She reassures me that my cost should be a copay at most because this visit is covered under my plan.Well, I show up a half hour early to my appointment, ready to fill out some paperwork, and they tell me that their billing department told them not to take my insurance. Because they dont accept it. They then say that they called and left a voicemail yesterday informing me of this. There was no voicemail.So I call my insurance to get answers. Agent looks up location by address, confirms coverage. Agent asks for location tax number, confirms coverage. Office manager tried saying that its a certain doctor that is covered, but only one and hes at a different location. Ok, agent asks for the in house doctors individual number, confirms that they are under coverage.This is outrageous. Their billing department is literally telling the office staff to not accept valid insurance coverage. They are making patients with accepted insurance plans pay full in cash for their services.I urge you to seek treatment elsewhere. They cannot be trusted with your health. The office staff might be nice, but their business model is only focused on the bottom line.

It sucks to have to give at least one star for review because this review doesnt even deserve the one star. The receptionist was very quick and efficient considering I came 30 minutes before my appointment, but once it came down to being called back and about to continue with my appointment I was asked to go back up to the waiting room so the nurse could go on her lunch since they fell a little behind. Understood, she should get her lunch but considering when I came in they were not busy, but coming back to the waiting room now they are packed. Its a shame Vegas has only two planned parenthoods and both have awful reviews. I will not be returning.

I made an appointment. Waited 3 weeks to get my implant removed. I was supposed to receive a call the day before to let me know if they take my insurance. I never received the call.When I called PP it directs you to an office in Colorado. The girl says in the notes that they tried to call but my voice-mail isnt set up. Okay thats fair.So I drive 25 min to my appointment, just to find out the nurse is on medical leave which they would have told me had I answered their call. So why wasnt that in the notes? They rescheduled my appointment for September 5..more than another week to wait and to a location 40 min from me!To top it off I dont have any missed calls from them.

I dare say that it is the best abortion clinic in Las Vegas Nv...Customer service 10/10Professionalism 10/10Speed and conciseness 10/10My process was online and I cant be happier and satisfied with all the good service... Not quite sure why people rate this place so badly, I was seen quickly and was given everything I’d need. They explained everything to do with my procedure thoroughly, both the desk staff and women seeing me were extremely kind and understanding. It felt quicker than it actually was and it was very seen less and pleasant, I was nervous at first but felt very comfortable and safe. They aren’t invasive or persuasive, just calm and clear.

Very long process. 2 hrs. Front desk very nice! They get the job done but youll def have to plan for 1 1/2-2 hrs. I had to reschedule my next appt due to time. It was nice to get in within a weeks time however. Good for last minute​ appts.

I thought all Planned Parenthoods offered reduced costs for uninsured cash pay, or accepted most insurances. Surprise! Not at this location. After arriving for my scheduled appointment, they wait to mention the out of pocket costs while I was having my consultation. There is no sliding scale, or pay by donation as offered by most other PP clinics I’ve been to. It would seem pretty standard to screen your patients for insurance, or ability to pay when they make their appointment. What a waste of time!

This is my first time coming here as a new patient. I was due for my depo shot after I suddenly lost my insurance. I was in and out within an hour of my appointment time. The staff were so kind and professional. I was able to make an appointment online within a week, which is something I cant say about a regular OB-GYN. I only spent $152 without insurance. About $90 for the shot itself and $54 for the visit. I will be recommending them to everyone in need of womens healthcare without insurance!

I had an appointment at 1:10 and was seen about 15 minuets after my appointment. The girl was very nice and quick however I am now waiting 45 minuets to pay for my visit. There are three office women talking and helping no one.

I only gave 1 star just to write this. Be careful when making appointments with the Charleston office because they will act as if they dont except insurance just to get your cash! They will change your scheduled appointment and just leave a message, not even knowing if your phone even received the call. Then you get some rude chick that hangs up in your face. I give this company a negative1,2,3,4,5,ect. Good luck ladies.

This is absolutely the worst location ever! The whole staff is rude, slow, and inefficient. I used to go to MLK which was fine. Never had issues with people being rude and they were very prompt and organized. I moved at 19 miles this is my closest location.. The first time I went to pick up a few packs of pills the lady at the desk was rude. The lobby had a few people in it. After 30 minutes of waitin I asked if I would be helped soon. The lady gave a huge attitude about me waiting my turn. I was on a lunch break with limited time. 15 minutes later and after watching people that came in after me leaving I asked again. After the same attitude I said I wasnt moving till I got my pills or a manager could talk to me. I had to talk to the manager. I had to go in again today to refill.. 50 minutes later I finally got my refill. Handed her a $50 and put the rest on my card and left annoyed at the wait. Around 5;25 I got a call we only charged you $25 and it was supposed to be $75 so you have a balance. I called right back and got a recorded message that they are closed with no voicemail to leave a message. How unorganized are these people? Better hope your employee didnt slip that $50 in her pocket. where did that money go? Guess I will find out if I can get ahold of them tomorrow...

I called to remain in line on the Cue, 47:36 min to finally pick the option that was offered to have them get back with me. Well it is now 6 o’clock at night as they are closed. This display of professionalism has enlighten me to the conclusion I’m not willing to take a chance with my health with such incompetence. If you don’t have your receptionist in order upholding her duties why in the world would it be any different further back in the office.

The receptionist was super rude, unprofessional. she gets paid to be there, if you dont like your job, look for something you like to do. I was already scared and nervous about the delicate situation. and it only made the situation worse. i will definitely never go back to this place and i will never recommend this place to anyone!!

Horrible experience, staff were so rude and had no compassion when I was in a sensitive situation. Very difficult to schedule the appointment, was told different things by multiple people. Was given zero resources and seemed like they just wanted me out of there. Ive been to other planned parenthoods and was never treated this badly.

The people that work here are literal angels. They walked me through everything thoroughly, were so kind, appointment went by quickly, even helped me with my prescriptions after I had trouble at the pharmacy.

All the staff is wonderful! I always call before picking up my prescription. The staff is always very kind and fast with getting my pack(s). Great location as well.

I dont know why they would ask you to make an appointment then when you get there you still have to wait for 2hrs to be help. Seriously!! This is just dumb. I just saw 3 walked in people who were help before me. I just wish they shouldnt accept more people that they can handle

The women that work are very sweet and helpful but I do recommend you get your birth control sent to your house rather than picking it up from the location because they always have me waiting for an hour and 10 to 20 minutes for a small pack of pills and it can be very annoying waiting sometimes. But I will always come to this location when need be. PS- I DONT ADVISE GETTING THE DEPO SHOT. ITS HORRRIIBBBBLLLEEEE.

This place is super unprofessional. The girl at the front desk confirmed my appointment that I was supposed to have that day and told me there was nobody there to do the procedure so I need to reschedule.. and they wouldn’t take my insurance. Plus they told me they wanted me to pay them $160 for what I found online for $65.. sorry but this place won’t get my business.... EVER!!!

Reset it like the staff there all that much until I actually just talking to them a little bit. And even though I was stuck waiting there for a little while, because they had to help the girls out first and I was fine. I just needed needed some antibiotics. But what was supposed to cost me at least $100 most likely 150 in the been given to me for free and all of them there have been hard to make chili care about people and they got through to me and tell me some things I really needed to hear at the time. It meant a lot to me because they dont they were just trying to hear themselves speak. What they do is out of compassion cus they really do care. Anyways they cared enough to make this hard and flat billed hat wearing Suggetts tweakers looking fellow cry because are so sweet

Worst service ever. Each nurse here gave the most judgemental looks to patients and literally shut shamed anyone who came in.

Staff was very helpful and answered everything very throughly and I felt a-lot more comfortable after my visit thank you once again for everything that you guys do.

Every time I go in, the nurses are always so friendly & helpful. I come from a very traditional hispanic family, & with the sex education provided to us in highschool, I knew almost nothing about how to have a safe and healthy sex life. They answer all my questions, never make me feel embaressed, always very professional. I am so grateful we have planned parenthoods to turn to.

Never come here even with an appointment they just call who ever they want first. Got an appointment for 1:50 didnt get called till 3:08 even walk-ins were attended before us. Never again

Worst staff ever , not kind or professional make u wait for hours and they treat you wrong and bad . Horrible approach like you are not human , they treat you worst than animal. Very miserable experience. They feel entitled to disrespect you and talk to you down like if they are better than you

Signed in at 3:10. My appointment was at 3:20. Took receptionist 25 minutes from the time I signed in to fill-out paperwork. Its 3:45 and was told that wait time will be between 30-45 minutes. What a waste of time.

Worst service ever . very rude staff and supervisor . the nurse refuse to give a mouth swap for stds and they charge 300 ? Its crazy . they say all races are welcomed so why does it matter what i am ? Please dont go there

Yearly check up. A little b bit of a wait even though it didnt seem that busy but other than that it was ok. They did work with me on the bill, and were polite.

Unprofessional , rude , very dissapointed and dissatisfied with the service make you wait for hours and they treat you very poorly , like if you owe them something. Never been in a place where they treated me worst than here dont go there

Never a nurse on duty. Go to the flamingo location, they will at least have a nurse that will help you.
