Love this facility so much! Every doctor and nurse I have encountered has been awesome! They have so much compassion and truly care about how you feel. I have switched OBGYN many times due to inadequate care and I finally found this facility. So happy I did! I drive almost 2 hours for my OB appointments here and it’s well worth it. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

I’ve only been going here for a little while, but I already think they’re the absolute best!. I was having some complications with bleeding during my pregnancy, so naturally I was freaking out. The office was quick to get me in and have me checked out in every way. They actually listened to me, and answered all of my questions until all my anxieties had disappeared. The entire staff here is absolutely amazing and I’m so so thankful for them!

Jessica, the nurse, was the absolute best. Sadly, I was there for miscarriage care, but Jessica hugged me and made me feel so loved. She didn’t rush me and sat with me to answer all of my questions. Thank you! ❤️

Please, do not risk your life or the life of your child by seeking care at this facility. The dangers are simply too high.See the stark contrast between how I looked before and after they nearly cost me my life—not once, not twice, but three separate times due to completely avoidable errors, all stemming from sheer negligence. I consider myself fortunate to be alive today. Dont make the same mistake I did by being misled by their pleasant offices and polite smiles, only to face an alarming lack of education, compassion, and respect for human life.Don’t let it be you who pays the price. Don’t leave your baby without a mother. Choose a safer option and go elsewhere. As a nurse myself, I would *never* treat anyone the way I was treated at this facility. One nurse even went so far as to physically abuse me, leaving bruises all over my body during my stay. The experience has left me deeply traumatized, to the point where I now have a profound fear of doctors and hospitals. I am so shaken by what I went through that I’m not sure I can ever return to working in a hospital as a nurse. The trauma is something I relive every single day, and the horror of my experience here stays with me constantly.

I highly recommend this place. I had been going to another doctor for issues with my pcos and other issues and i was just not happy with my answers or care so i gave Axia a try, i will never see another gynecologist. Doctor Mayes is amazing, she is very kind and cares about what YOU want to do and is very open to every treatment option even if it’s homeopathic. My laparoscopy with her was the nicest and most kind surgery i’ve ever been through and the entire process was great. The staff truly cares and i’ve never had a bad experience, they will do what they can to help you. They have truly helped so much with all of my symptoms and treating them in the routes i wanted to go instead of just doing hormone therapy.

When our previous provider wouldn’t let us attend office visits or ultrasounds with our 2year old, we had to find another one. I had the most healing pregnancy and birthing experience with Lexington Women’s Health. I had a very negative experience at a different practice with my first child and was very nervous when I found out I was pregnant with my second. Iniko and Haley brought me so much comfort and peace throughout my difficult pregnancy. They were so supportive and respectful of my wants/needs. Having them both present for the birth of my son really made me feel genuinely cared for and empowered by my medical team. My family is complete now, but I feel confident that if I ever changed my mind and decided to have more babies I would have the best team available to me. Ive seen many of their providers and Dr. Borders is the best but she is hard to get in to see. You have to wait several months to get in with her. She delivered my son and did an emergency C-section on me saving both of our lives. Will be forever grateful to her!Recently saw Dr. Mayes. Labs came back for positive UTI, called the office several times asking for something to be called in. Only got a message that Dr. was in surgery but she will call something in as soon as she is free but nothing was called in and they wont return my calls. Very frustrated with her. The other nurses, like the one who calls you to your room, was very amazing as well, I don’t remember her name but she’s very welcoming and so sweet! End up have the consultation with a nurse, which was the main reason I left my previous provider! Too many people on waiting room which means less time for each patient. It took a month for me to receive my exam results and when they finally did, the wrong prescription was sent to my pharmacy!!! I have had labs labeled incorrectly (therefore not able to be run), billing issues after being told something was covered and then after the fact received a bill for it, Ive been canceled same day more than twice, Ive been told I need to schedule unnecessary procedures for birth control pill changes. The staff is typically very short and rude. During one of my weight loss visits the MA said to me youve lost X amount of pounds. Thats not going to happen again, Ill tell you that right now! I’ve known from a young age that I never wanted to be a parent. Ever since I turned 21 I had a hard time finding doctors that would perform a sterilization procedure for me. I found Dr. Beaver’s name on a list of doctors that will perform the surgery regardless of your age. I made an appointment with her but the place put me with another doctor there instead. The doctor I saw was very demeaning and wouldn’t listen to me at all. I almost gave up but then I decided to try and get in with Dr. Beaven, and it was the best decision I’ve made! Expect to wait at least 30 minutes past your appointment time for every appointment. After seeing the same doctor your entire pregnancy who you get comfortable with, expect to get stuck with whoever is available to deliver. I was told by one of the doctors that I would not be induced because my midwife wasn’t on call but ended up with a random one when I did go into labor so I’m not sure what her logic was. The midwife through LWH who was available during my delivery ended up leaving part of the placenta inside of me which lead to a D&C procedure that I was told I would not be charged for and now I am receiving bills for it and being told it will be sent to collections if it isn’t paid.

Front office staff is very rude. We have had many experiences with different front office staff and my wife has had a very difficult time with them. Scheduling is very difficult at this office and the wait times are always so bad.Very little communication on how things are supposed to happen and it’s frustrating. When going to the 20 week scan at the hospital, we got lost, it was our first time at that location. We were 10 min late and we got called back we apologized and said it was our first time at the office and were confused. (We are also new to KY) and she rushed through our u/s and was very impersonal. She then walked away and told us to wait in the lobby. The office is so big we had no idea how to get back to the lobby. We walked around and had no idea where she went and we had to ask a doc writing notes to direct us. We were flustered. The front office staff was also not willing to help confirm a lab order for my wife who is trying to schedule around her new work schedule. Front office said they would email her but they were not willing to ask the nurse if she was going to write it up since my wife spoke to her and the nurse said she would write it for her whenever she came in. Just the fact that front office wouldn’t confirm and said “process is to scan it in the chart” and not even ask, just rude. The office is closed on the days she needs to get labs done and all she wanted was confirmation. It’s also confusing because the lab is across the way and they aren’t able to leave lab orders there and when asking for their lab hours they told her to google it and look it up. Again, just so much frustration around point of contact and just figuring out how things are supposed to be done. Their demeanor is always rude and just unwilling. We have tried going somewhere else but we just don’t know where. Definitely not an office flexible for working moms and definitely doesn’t feel personal. Very disappointed in our rushed visits and lack of bedside manner from front office and nurses. Takes all the excitement of our last pregnancy.

Second time I go there they refuse to give me an IUD because the receptionist should have given me some pretty important information on what to avoid before an IUD. Im pretty sure thats the doctors job LOL. Third visit there and they put the IUD in INCORRECTLY then blamed ME for it. She caused more pain than I could have imagined. She told me there was no medicine or anything to help with the pain of inserting an IUD (which is not true if you go to a real OBGYN) and I refused to let her try again. I recently switched doctors from Lexington Womens Health to the UK Midwife Clinic, and for me, it has been a great decision. I saw Sabrina Tucker at Lexington Womens Health, and she was caring and attentive as possible; I had only a positive experience with her, which is why I am rating 3 stars instead of 2. My experience with billing, a nurse I saw, the general atmosphere, wait time, and general focus more on money than on mother and baby is what drove me away. They were impersonal, and at my second appointment, I was taken back to billing first and notified of charges to come (not the best start for an appointment), then met by a nurse with a rude and unfeeling bedside manner that left me feeling anxious and upset. At my first appointment, we waited so long to see the doctor that the office was closed by the time we left. At my anatomy scan appointment, no one told me the percentile of our baby, and I felt rushed at this appointment. At Lexington Womens Health, I felt like another money-paying cog in their big-business wheel there and did not feel cared for or that I or my baby mattered. My experience at the UK Midwife clinic has been oppositely wonderful. They are smaller, more personable, spend as much time as you need with you, and their priorities are on their patients and not the money they are taking in from their patients.SO happy I have switched mid-pregnancy.

She makes me feel very comfortable, she listens to me, and is concerned about my well-being. I believe she is very competent at her job and couldnt be happier having care for me.The other reviews about the waiting time and telephone issues are very true. You have to have a minimum of 30 minutes set aside just to set an appointment, and if you have to actually talk to someone about your health or prescriptions, you will be leaving a voicemail and hoping that you can answer when they call you back because otherwise youll spend a long time playing phone tag. If you go to their main office on Nicholasville Rd, youll have to wait longer in the waiting room. My last visit was at the Hamburg office and I liked that so much better. It wasnt as crowded, the wait was shorter, parking was easier. The staff didnt seem so rushed, which made the experience nicer. Im definitely going to try to go to that location for any future visits. There is also one thing that bothered me a little bit. I had a pap smear my first visit and a couple of weeks later they called me telling me that my results were abnormal, but there were no signs of cancer. They seemed rushed and eager to get off the phone. I wish they would have taken some time to let me know exactly what those results meant and if I should be worried about it or not.

My last several visits have been awful. I showed up for a scheduled appointment to find out they never put this appointment in their calendar, so my doctor wasn’t there. I then had to end up calling them because no one called me about my lab results, although they said they would, and they said the doctor left so they had no way to know that I didn’t get my results from them. I was then given a ton of information over the phone for a surgery I had to have, to show up for surgery and them tell me I didn’t actually need to do it but could if I wanted to. The post-surgery information I was given over the phone was also incorrect according to the doctor that did it. On top of that, the billing person came into the surgery room to tell me what I would owe them after my visit. I was told they would call prior to my surgery to tell me how much I owed, and no one did. When I got there, they didn’t even know why I was there or how much I owed. I am still receiving bills from the same surgery I already paid for last month.

Don’t bother asking for intermittent leave accommodations, because they won’t do it, regardless of your situation. When I asked for clarification about submitting maternity leave paperwork, my doctor said to let her know when I wanted to go on maternity leave and when I wanted to go back to work. When I emailed the leave department, the person who emailed me back said leave didn’t start until I went into labor and was rude about the whole thing. She said something along the lines of “I can’t just give you time off”. I felt like the doctor was telling me one thing and the leave person was telling me something totally different and judging me. If I could give 100 stars, I could.I have pretty bad endometriosis and adenomyosis. I underwent an endometrial ablation in October of 2021 at the age of 21, and it unfortunately failed. It has been absolutely horrible pain. I got referred to Dr. Borders to be evaluated. There was a scheduling error and I ultimately ended up seeing a Shelley Chenault, a midwife & APRN. She was SO kind and compassionate, but realized that my needs required some additional help. She consulted with Dr. Cook and another provider, and learned I needed a hysterectomy. That was very shocking and very hard to process, at any age, but especially so young. She sat with me while I cried and tried to compose myself, and helped me through the process of scheduling a consult with Dr. Fuson. She even walked me up to the front desk to schedule and stood with me until she was positive I was okay. Whoever checked me out and scheduled my consult was so kind and understanding, as well!My consult with Dr. Fuson couldnt have gone better, either. She walked me through the whole process, let me know what it would be like, what recovery would be like, what to expect before and after. She is such a brilliant person!Im not really sure what the other reviews mean about the rude front desk/administration staff... Every single person at the front desk has been SO kind at every single appointment Ive been to. Not to mention, all of my calls have been returned in a prompt and timely matter, and they are SO ridiculously helpful over the phone and connecting you where you need to go. Special props to the surgery coordinator, Valorie Young; she is SUCH a hard worker and goes above and beyond her job duties to help with literally anything she can. I am certain I have annoyed the daylights out of her with all of my questions and paperwork, but she has been so professional and helpful throughout it all! Finally, all of the nurses, phlebotomists, ultrasound techs, and support staff are nothing short of a delight. They are always so kind and supportive and have just stellar attitudes. I can not think of a single complaint about this practice, nor the people working there. They all take time to show you so much empathy and treat you like an actual person. I cannot sing high enough praises for Lexington Womens!!!

My first appointment was scheduled within 2 weeks. My health issue worsened so I called back and they connected me to a nurse (Tara) after talking with the nurse she got me in the next day.The staff, nurses and Dr. Cook were amazing. Dr. Borders is polite and professional, so the rating is not for her but for the practice and staff. My wife and I ended up transferring to a different practice due to our bad experience with the staff - mostly billing department. We might just have had bad luck but here are our experiences:The last anatomy ultra sound appointment we had was so rushed we didnt even get to ask a proper question to the nurse.Back to billing, the process isnt clear nor transparent, Lindsay at billing was not able to answer our questions regarding the bills. We had to run back and forth to figure out one bill because they had the wrong insurance for a few months. On top of that, we asked after every single visit if we need to take care any payments, they said no at check out and then we received a bill 2 months AFTER our transferring.

I saw Dr Gibbs for a hysterectomy after being referred by my daughter n law who had good experiences delivering a baby with her. My surgery ended up having minor complication that made my recovery difficult. Dr Gibbs was great, there was no question she genuinely cared about the discomfort I was having. She stayed one day during her lunch so I could come straight in and be seen by her. She thoroughly explained everything. She just comes in the room sits back and has real conversation with you. Some of my experience with the hospital part wasnt great but Dr Gibbs acknowledged it and was meeting with people to resolve the issues. I would recommend her because she knows what shes doing and her bedside manner is outstanding!

My wife and I recently had a child (C-section) under the care of Dr. Gibbs. This was our first child, and both Dr. Gibbs and the office staff went out of their way to make it an excellent and memorable experience for us. This office strikes me as the very definition of compassionate care, and I would recommend LWH and Dr. Gibbs to anyone - she was simply a joy to work with (and a member of our armed forces - thank you again for your service, maam!). We never had a hitch with scheduling, being brought back for appointments on-time, or handling follow-up issues such as prescriptions. Everyone in the office, especially Dr. Gibbs, are excellent communicators, explaining everything for us at each step in the process.

I have been going here for years, and honestly probably would not recommend them to anyone. They are HORRIBLE at dealing with prescriptions and returning phone calls. It often takes all day to get someone on the phone to actually talk to you. You have to call multiple times/leave multiple messages... It drives me insane! Waiting room times are also pretty bad. 25-45 min, its often a zoo in there with a million people waiting.Only reason I left 3 stars is that I did have a decent experience with Laure Schadler during my pregnancy. They were pretty good about getting me in quickly if I had a concern about anything being wrong with my baby. And Laure is very attentive and didnt make me feel rushed, made sure I felt reassured and comfortable with things before moving on to the next patient. I was able to deliver a healthy baby med free. I hemorrhaged afterwards and Laure acted fast. So shes good, but the practice in general is kind of terrible.

Love this obgyn. Dr. Fuson delivered our daughter and was amazing. My only gripe is just the lack of respect for appointment times. I feel like the office manager needs to focus less on making money and make the appointment lengths appropriate for each patient so that there isnt a large line of women waiting to be seen in the lobby. I also have had a few odd billing mishaps, where I received bills months and months after an appointment, which isnt a huge issue, but Ive never experienced that with other offices. Other than the wait times, I would really recommend this place. If you live your life by your watch, and need to be seen within an exact time frame every time, this probably isnt the obgyn for you.

I went to Lexington Women’s Health after the Gynecologist I had since 2005 retired rather suddenly. After reading the wonderful reviews about Dr. Grace Gibbs, I scheduled an appointment. I waited over an hour for my turn; the waiting room was packed. Her student talked to me for a while getting my history. She was very pleasant. When Dr. Gibbs entered the room, she barely introduced herself before she began my exam. During the exam, I tried to express that I was nervous about changing doctors after so long, but received no response. The exam was so rough. I was in terrible pain, there was an equipment issue where I was held in pain while it was corrected, and by the time the exam was completed, I was in excruciating pain. There was no acknowledgement of what I just endured. She simply said, “see you next year” and left the room. I went to my car and cried. I am 50 years old, and never in all the years I’ve been going to an OB/GYN have I had such a terrible, impersonal, painful experience. I will not go back.

This is no way pertains to Alisha Morgan. She is amazing and I hate that I can’t see her anymore. Had a wonderful experience here the whole time I was pregnant until I was in a car accident when I was around 36 weeks pregnant. I was on my way to my appointment and rear ended someone on Nicholasville road very close to the hospital. I called to let them know what happened and the girl at the desk was extremely rude and told me I’d have to be seen in the afternoon if I couldn’t make it there 10 minutes after my appointment time. I understand they’re busy. But I know my doctor would have wanted to see me ASAP considering I had just been in an accident. But I asked the girl to just let her know and she said she would. So I managed to make it to my appointment on time because I left my house early to make sure I got there early. And I go back to see my doctor and nobody had even told her I had been in an accident. She sent me straight to Labor and Delivery to be checked out and was mad they didn’t tell her. Other than that I had no bad experience with them until I had my son. I had insurance and they didn’t pay for a lot of things. I know I will have to pay for those things. But because the hospital billed me for $8000 and LWH billed me for more than $2000 and I wasn’t working at the time I could afford to pay the $280 a month for LWH and pay on the hospital bill. And asked if LWH could lower the payment and they refused and were extremely rude. So I quit paying it. Because I couldn’t afford it. So they kept sending me bills and i could ever get ahold of the right person because I work now and the hours that the finance people are there suck. I got a letter in the mail today saying they wouldn’t care for me anymore. GUESS WHAT? IM GLAD. You all have no idea how hard it is to be on one income because I’m sure you all make a lot of money. I would rather be $10000 in debt than to see any of you ever again.

Do not be fooled into thinking that modern midwifery means that they care anything about your delivery or baby. I have two older children with whom I delivered with wonderful midwives, and I can tell you that none of the women I saw at Lexington Womens Health are true midwives. I still cry when thinking about my delivery and regret so badly using Lexington Womens Health and Central Baptist. I wish so badly I would have switched hospitals. I knew something wasnt right a little over half way through my pregnancy, but I told myself I was just hormonal and everything would be OK. I was so excited about my first visit. I remember telling my midwife that I had waited 10 years between kids and that I had planned the whole 10 years of having another beautiful non-medicated experience (I realized though that sometimes things happened in labor that were out of anyones control), and at the time she seemed genuinely excited. Over the next few months she became more and more impersonal, and I realized that this was not going to be the same experience. Before getting pregnant I had had a couple BP spikes, so my family Dr. had put me on a low dose BP medicine. My BP had been great, but at 34 weeks my midwife told me that because I took the meds I would need to start coming in twice a week until delivery, once for a stress test and once for an ultrasound. I figured this was just a way to get more money, but I didnt really have a choice but to agree because she played the dont you want whats best for your baby card (this gets played pretty often there). Anyway, at 35 weeks my baby flipped breech. I was very upset because I knew this could mean Csection, and they decided to take my BP while I was crying. Then, my BP was of course high. They waited a few minutes and let me calm down and retook it, at which time it was back to normal. I was relieved about that since I had enough to worry about with a breech baby, but when I went back to the Dr. for my next appointment, she informed me that they needed to double my BP meds and I I would need to be induced at 39 weeks. I tried to explain to her that I was just upset about him being breech, but she just talked like a robot. It was at this time that I realized just being in the office made my BP high. My husband would try to calm me when I told him I thought they were going to force me into a Csection. At 37 weeks my baby flipped back into position, and I was so relieved that guess what? My BP was good again! I told her I wanted to wait until my due date at least before we resorted to induction and she said that would be fine. I told her I wanted to try to avoid pitocin and try to just be induced with having my water broke. She acted like this could be a possibility and at my last appointment she exclaimed, See you Wednesday and well have a baby, if not before then! I felt excited again, like this may go better than expected. We were finally called to come to the hospital at 2:00 am Thursday morning for my induction. When I got there I doctor I had never met tried to insert a Foley catheter balloon, which I told then I was against. After trying to insert it several times, he had torn my cervix a little and gave up. They began the Pit drip and I began contracting immediately. My midwife never came to the hospital, called or anything. I was there over the course of 28 hours, begging for help, and a midwife I had never met had her assistant check me a total of three times during that period. My mother in law asked how long they would let this go on and she replied, Three days. Thats how long I laid before my C-section. After contracting for 20 hours my water broke, and after 24 hours I had a C-section due to his heart rate dropping. I still feel so abandoned and unnecessarily damaged. Im also mad that I let it happen when I knew better. My midwife knew I was upset and said, Oh well, at least you have a healthy baby.

I decided to go to Lexington womens health during my first fregnancy and will NEVER go back for another. Or for anything, for that matter. I would not suggest this place to anyone. I always went to the main office on nicholasville road, in the baptist health hospital, and everyone is right about the waits. I ALWAYS had an appointment, but quickly learned that appointments are pointless. On average, I was in the waiting room till an hour after my appointment was scheduled. And when I finally got called back, I would usually have to sit in the exam room for an additional 20-30 mins before being seen. Sometimes more. I lived and worked in nicholasville, and it often got me in trouble at work, because they didnt believe that I had been gone for my appointment for 3-4 hours. While that was all very frustrating, it isnt the reason I wouldnt recommend them. During my second trimester I developed a SEVERE persistent itch in my hands and feet. It was so bad at night that I couldnt sleep, and sometimes scratched my hands so hard in my half asleep state, that it would draw blood. When I spoke with my doctor about it, she simply wrote it off as an allergic reaction to laundry detergent or something I had been using on my clothes. Even though I informed her that I hadnt changed anything. So, a month or so went by, and the itching was only getting worse. My doctor told me that when I came in the next visit, for my blood sugar/glucose test, she would get an extra blood sample to test for other things to figure out what was going on. So, thats what they did. They drew an extra tube of blood and sent me on my way. At my next appointment (another month later) I was informed that my blood sugar test came back normal, etc... and when I asked about my other blood test, she didnt know anything about it. She told me she hadnt gotten any results back and that she would let me know at my next visit. So, at this point, I believe I was going every 2 weeks. So 2 weeks later I went back and once again, she said nothing. I asked her about it, and she said she hadnt heard anything. She then asked if I still had the itching and I informed her that I did. So she said that she would call the blood test lab and see what was going on and she would let me know at my next appointment. So another 2 weeks went by and when I went back she informed me that the lab had lost my blood test sample. So she sent me down to have another one done. At this point I was going every week. When I went back the next week she told me I had something called colestasis. Which is basically when your gallbladder stops functioning during pregnancy, and your bile acids back up in your blood stream. So I asked what that meant in regards to my pregnancy, and she told me I was going to come back TOMORROW and be induced. Because at this point I was 37 weeks, and if you go full term with colestasis, it can cause your child to be still born!! I was furious. Had I not been so persistent with what she thought was just an allergic reaction to laundry detergent it could have very well cost my child HER LIFE! Stay away from Lexington womens health!

At my 20 week ultrasound the same tech who was the one who changed the gender was the one who administered the scan and never said the gender. My Doctor told me “not to worry and everything was fine they needed a better look and would send me to high risk for another ultrasound.” Well the following Monday morning my husband and I went to the high risk offices and those techs told us baby was a girl! Also there was a white marker on the babies heart that could be a sign for Down’s syndrome (day e writhing was NOT FINE) and they immediately sent me for blood work to have that tested and the gender since it had been so back and forth. The blood results came back clear for any Down’s syndrome and my baby is a girl. My Dr lied to me and the techs definitely aren’t qualified to be operating those machines. Highly considering switching doctors if it wouldnt be such a hassle for me.

Love my Dr there. Ms. Chennault was amazing. She explained everything to me in a way that I understood. I was in and out of there in no time.

Yesterday, I had a visit with Dr. Schadler to discuss some troubling bleeding. I was blown away by how curt and dismissive she was. She would ask me a question, then just interrupt my answer with another question until she sent me on my way. She seemed annoyed to be there and she couldn’t get me out her door fast enough. It felt more like I was at a McDonald’s than at the doctor.

Would give a zero if I could. For over two weeks Ive emailed, called, and sent myChart messages with questions for my provider and no one responds. Unprofessional and causing unnecessary stress and burden on patients. Maybe posting this review will actually get their attention...

Absoluetly awful. They screwed up my appointment and made it with a PA(midwife) when I specifically asked o see an MD. In addition after waiting for 45 minutes they still said no one could see me because they were all double booked for appointments and for deliveries.
