This is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to service and experience. They make everything difficult when trying to get forms or submit forms. They are lazy and look for any reason to not move. I suggest to new or expecting mothers find a place that cares about your pregnancy and new baby. I’ve been through 4 pregnancies have never experienced or witnessed what I see here. I can’t wait to move and get a new doctor

If you want your husband to be part of the experience don’t come here. They are not allowed back with the mom. Even after my wife had a c section and needed help to walk would they let me back there to hear about her health and recovery. Not happy from a husbands point of view

The only good thing is that they can accept you as a walking, yet the service in all aspects is not good at all. The receptionist can be rude, not all of them though. Management needs to train them to be more professional and respectful. Now the doctors are kind and compassionate, but they also need to learn to be accurate. I lost my baby , but before that they just told me….“ I think this is not going to work” and not advise or recommendations given to you of want to do or expect. After my miscarriage I call the clinic asking if I need to go sooner or not go anymore and they told me that it was recommended to go just to see that everything when back to normal. Yet the day after the appointment I got there as a walking in because the day before I couldn’t attend in time, and they had told that I could go as as walk in that same they or the day after… but as soon I was there they say that they couldn’t take me in, and that an appointment wasn’t necessary anyway more. When before they had told that I was recommended to see, as I mentioned before.They are just not communicating with each other properly and the patients are not being well treated or informed.So definitely I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Not Saul, but his wife. I wanted a male doctor for several reasons. Turns out Dr. Otero was not what I expected. Showed little to no interest in my pregnancy. I needed a c-section and I was extremely nervous about that. Not once before or after my surgery did he acknowledge me. After being hospitalized for 3 days, I still never got a visit from him. The NP at the clinic was judgmental and I refuse to see her again. As for the office staff…awful! Very rude and even give you bad looks. I regret not changing to another doctor when I had the chance. I highly recommend you do NOT come here!

Like someone already mentioned Dr otters shows no interest in you and doesn’t care about your feelings. He just goes in and says ok baby is okay and that’s it doesn’t really say much no interest in how you feel. I tried changing drs but I was 7 months now and other drs had appointments but till 2 or 3 months later.I told the front desk girls I wanted tubal ligation and the ladies just said yes dr ottero does that but never did they mention that I had to let the dr know months in advance so I told the np when I was 8 months and she just wrote it down.When I was giving birth I told dr ottero I wanted to get my tubes tied and he turned and looked at me with a face and said NO YOU CANT GET IT ITS ILLEGAL INTEXAS that I had to have mentioned it to him months b4 giving birth. So here I am back to work but on hormones since I have no rights over my body.

Wait times are ridiculous. Your appointment can be one time but expect a 2 hour wait.Update: expect a 3-hour wait just for a consultation.

To start off with, this was my first pregnancy and it went very smooth for me. Dr. Garcia always had no problems answering whatever questions i had. The whole delivery of my daughter was so easy. All the staff was always nice to me whenever i had my appointments and answered whatever questions. Overall the best experience ever and my Doc along with the nurses were part of that amazing experience.

The worse !!!! Can’t tell the difference between pregnancy symptoms and Covid symptoms. They didn’t want to see me even when I was going to pay for the COVID TEST out of my own pocket !!! The same lady that told me on the phone she was gonna get someone to help me was the same person on the phone. If y’all don’t have proper staff, just say that. Never again, horrible service, horrible front office receptionist.

The clinic is unprofessional. They lack any comprehension of billing, especially third-party insurances. They claim its a courtesy, but it isnt. Nothing they do is a courtesy but rather an imposition, as if they believe theyre the only clinic to accept insurance. They claim their policies dictate their methods, yet no such writings are given or supported, it seems as their policies change as they verbally say so, and not as it is written, which is illegal and considered bait and switch by consumer law standards. In addition, the staff lacks any level of professionalism and or rapport with patients. The bed side manners of the nurses are horrendous, and I even witnessed other patients complain upon my visit and inspection of the clinic. They are opening themselves up for a lawsuit in the future but thats not the issue here. I would highly not recommend attending here and taking your business elsewhere. You would get better service in a third world country. Where their negative ratings I would give them, hence the one star.

0/5 would recommend young lady in the front that helped me out was super rude and unprofessional.She explained to me that she would have to verify my insurance and that it self will take an hour, I did ask, why would they have not done that prior to my appointment day? Her responds to me is that they called me yesterday to let me know that my insurance was not verified and I did not answer, I let her know I did call back and all they told me it was a call to confirm my appointmentLong story short I arrived at the clinic at 1:15pm and I did not leave till 5:00pm.Horrible experience here to say the least!!!!!

Loved my experience here. Nurses were very nice and welcoming. Everything was very simple and not complicated at all! Highly recommend Dr. Norma Garcia. Very caring and leaves you with no questions. She really shows the love for her clients great doctor! I HIGHLY recommend this clinic for new moms!

Let me start by saying Dr. Garcia is great and I would recommend her to anyone, however the front desk staff is rude they don’t even try to acknowledge you they just ask for your insurance card and tell you to sit. The tech or nurse who takes the vitals and information before seeing the Dr. is very unpleasant and is easily annoyed when asked questions or for any kind of clarification. Every interaction I’ve had with the staff at every appointment besides the Dr. has been hostile and unpleasant. It’s not worth it, I suggest you find another clinic.

Dr. Garcia is the best OBGYN! I actually changed doctors halfway through my pregnancy and she was kind enough to take me in so late into my pregnancy. She explained everything to me and always made me feel comfortable and knowledgeable about what I was going through. I will continue to go to see her in the future since we are planning on having another little one in the future! If you are thinking about coming to see her you won’t regret it.

I called twice before coming to this place to ensure they took my insurance and to try to set an appointment. They suggested walk-in from 0900-1100 for a depo shot. I came at 0900 to fill out paperwork and to have my insurance processed. I understood it took a while to verify my insurance, about an hour long. Afterwards I asked what was the hold up and I was informed that I had “several others” in front of me to be seen; which I was confused by if walk-in’s started at 0900. I continued to wait for another hour and a half just to get my vitals taken. I finally made it to the exam room, and I was seen by a female Dr. Garcia. She tells me they don’t keep my birth control prescription on hand after I had been there for 3 hours; meaning I would have to leave to go pick up my prescription then drive back to be given the shot. She proceeds to tell me that she didn’t respect my attitude and lectures me about what she had going on prior to seeing me in the exam room. She is highly unprofessional and only thinks her time matters. They then sent me to a pharmacy that did not take my insurance. So I had to come back to inform them this so they could send it to another pharmacy. 4 hours later. Who wouldn’t be upset, frustrated, or even agitated after all this? In addition, the other pharmacy I was sent too didn’t even have my prescription in stock; meaning I have to pick it up tomorrow and get it then. I did not officially leave the doctors office until 1322.

Called to schedule a pregnancy sonogram and explained that was all I needed that I already had my care scheduled somewhere else.They said ok and scheduled me.I called back before my appointment to confirm a few questions, no problem.They called me to confirm my appointment the day before, no problem.Show up the day of my appointment and they tell me they cannot see me because they are not my main doctor 🙄At no point did they they mention this the 3 times I talked to them on the phone, all the lady could tell me was That she doesnt know who talked to me but there were no notes on what I was there for and that they were wrong to tell me I could be seenComplete waste of time.

Always a great experience with Dr.Otero. He took great care of me during my both pregnancys and continues to do it even now. When handling my body parts hes very gentle and professional. Best Doctor I ever had and will continue to have God willingly.

Staff is very nice and welcoming in the Mcallen location. Wait time was not too long at all. The physician made me feel comfortable. 10/10 recommend!

I absolutely loved this clinic, and my obgyn Dr. García delivered my beautiful baby boy on March 19th 2021 it was such an amazing experience she made me feel so comfortable. she’s so sweet and has this bond with her patients she actually cares for you and your baby 10/10 recommend her 🤍🤍

Ive have been to the mcallen clinic twice for my pregnancy check ups, and i have never been more disappointed with facilities. Had my appointment at 12:15 i got here at 11:30 am called them to sign up. At 11:56 someone called and said if i was coming to my appointment! I told them yes and that i had already signed up. They said they would start on my chart a few minutes later someone else called and yold me they were starting on my chart!!!. 1hour later iam STILL waiting untill i came in and they tell me theres still a patient infront of me.....iam baffled by the professionalism of this facility and there employees....last appointment i waited for over 2 hrs untill i was seen....iam over 7 months pregnant and i shouldnt feel like i need to look for a new Dr. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DR. OR FACILITY TO ANYONE. NEVER

I loved the whole environment of the clinic! The nurses were kind and personable. Dr. Norma Garcia was competent, caring, and nailed my problem immediately! If you need an obstetrician, she would be my choice!

I was in and out of the consultation, the doctor was not compassionate at all,he told me that miscarriages happen its my first pregnancy that made me feel terrible. I went to another doctor and I am 7 weeks and my baby is fine. I would never want to experience that again.

I was a patient with Dr. Kianni with my first pregnancy and had the worst experience (natural).This 2nd pregnancy I was unsure what Dr to deliver my baby so I just stop by to get checked in womens clinic while I looked for a good dr, but on my first check up I was so amazed on the way Dr. Norma Garcia explained everything. She left me with no questions and was so clear, unlike the past. I had no more need to keep looking. I feel confident her delivering my baby(c section). I just wish she could of known her before.

Love Dr. Otero he is so kind and patient with you, love that he answers all questions no matter how dumb they are, his staff is awesome and we dont have to wait hours in the lobby like other dr. Offices. If your appointment is at 10:30am then they will call you at 10:30am. So I highly recommend him!

This office is 🗑 EVERY appointment my wife and I had we had to wait MORE than 2 hours just to be called into the lobby!!Once my wife would get seen the visit would literally take no longer than 15 mins.Worst place to be in, only reason we haven’t switched yet is we are too far into her pregnancy. Definitely would NOT be back here.

Every time I come for my visit the team and office is so nice and Dr. Garcia is the bomb! I have never had gynecologist like her she’s the best and knows what she is talking about makes you feel welcomed and not just another patient. ❤️

I was a new patient, they took me in quickly, I didn’t have an appointment either. The staff was really nice as well, I love it when you can tell the personnel cares about the patients.

I waited for 2 hours and 45mins...Most nurse and reception used phond a lot and no excuse.Dr was not good, not very bad.I dont recommend this clinic!

Doctor garcia is great but bad customer service at the front desk. Waited almost 2 hours after our scheduled appointment. Come to find out we were skipped for waiting in the car

Nice dr but i do not recommend for their waiting time. They always book about 30 people for one appointment and the waiting room is already small as it is, its just a big cluster. Be ready to spend all day here when the dr just takes about 3 minutes of his time for the sonogram.

First time going there, i went to a hospital before them and was told i had a cyst in my ovaries but wasn’t shown nor told what side. today i went and saw dr. otero & he gave me every detail. he doesn’t make you feel weird or awkward gets straight to the point. i recommend highly of him and his work

Dr. Otero is a Doctor that lost his true purpose, instead of looking out for the best interest of the patient, he looks out for the best of his pocket. Willing to risk the mom and babies for the sake of profit. Sad reality we live to witness, preying on the weak and less medically educated people. Shame on you Dr. Otero, representing such a noble profession with material driven intentions.

The front desk staff are unprofessional and rude. And will put yoy on hold to just hang up on you. I love my Dr. But I can stand the staff here. IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Dr. García is an excellent Ob. Never had any issues with this clinic & she always responds whenever I have any questions or concerns. They take great precautions as far as COVID

Great Staff & Friendly Dr. Otero Has Been A Wonderful Doctor Going On My 5th Child & He Has Delivered All 4 Of My Kids With No Problem. Every Doctor Visit Has Been The Best No Long Wait Time Either ❤️

Great doctor and amazing staff very friendly.. He has been my doctor since i was 16.. Delivered me with my first born at age 19 i was a high risk.. He has been my doctor for 10 yrs now he has delivered all my babies😌❤ highly recommend

I had an appointment at 9:20. 10:20 and I’m still waiting, the waiting room is packed, people are standing up cause there’s no more seat left. No one has gone in yet to see the doctor. I ended up canceling my appointment. Will go elsewhere.

I work at a Drs office. I spoke to one of the nurses via phone to collect brief info. Just because I work at a drs office doesn’t mean I know everything about medications. Downright Disrespectful nurse.

Came with my mother for a procedure and she had an appointment scheduled for 10am and it took 2 hours to be seen.

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Otero. He is a very compassionate and caring doctor. I would highly recommend him and his wonderful staff.

Very happy with the care throughout my pregnancy with the doctor and his wonderful team. My pregnancy became delicate and thanks to your professionalism it came to term. God bless you and I recommend it 1000%. He answers your questions, has great knowledge and you feel at home.

I like the attention that Dr. Garcia gives, but they give everyone an appointment at the same time, I think because it takes more than an hour to go from the parking lot to the waiting room and there for another while and then in the room for another time. The wait is too long for a maximum of 5 minutes of consultation.

The worst experience I have ever had in my entire life, Dr. Garcia gave me a medication that caused me abnormal bleeding and then I came back and the first thing she told me was “I dont want you to think that the medication I gave you caused this.” ... I was fine before going to her. I only went so she could tell me if everything was okay so I could get pregnant and put an end to this big problem 🙁

I went to see Dr García for the first time and I highly recommend her, at all times she was kind, patient and very careful with the procedure, she explained everything very well, I highly recommend her!!
