My family and I have had the most positive experiences with Columbia University Fertility Center. Our care team -- especially Dr. K., Angelica, Diana, Alex, and others -- were always so optimistic, sensitive, and supportive. They took time to explain things (even multiple times), responded in a timely manner, and went out of their way to make sure our needs were met. My partner and I had two rounds of IVF transfer at this facility (among other procedures), and we felt 100% confident that we were getting the very best of care. I cannot recommend this facility and this team highly enough.

Dr. Alex Robles is by far the best physician I’ve ever had. He is kind, empathetic, patient and was nothing but helpful guiding my husband and through multiple rounds of fertility treatment including IVF. He was there for all our major appointments and conducted all our treatments with professionalism, we never felt rushed during our visits. We switched to Columbia fertility after some time with RMA and I’m so glad, it’s nice not to feel like an insurance payment and helpless. Doctor Robles is a true gem and I’d highly recommend him for anyone who is going through this incredibly complicated and emotional journey.

I highly recommend Dr. Williams and his team at CUFC. The level of knowledge, skill, compassion, and coordination of care given to me have allowed me to achieve my goals all while feeling fully supported, respected and valued. From my doctor, my nurse and care coordinator, they communicate clearly, take time to help me be connected to the process, and make me feel at ease. I travel out of state to work with this team because the experience has been so positive. I can honestly say that my team here has gone above and beyond in every encounter. Feeling really lucky to have had them in my corner.

MAJOR RED FLAGS.My husband and I had a virtual consultation with Dr. Bishop in September of 2023.9 months later, we received a bill for $499 for it. Im not even joking.They had billed my insurance company Aetna for $870, insurance covered a portion of it, and that was our remaining balance. In the virtual consultation, Dr. Bishop just went over all the basic stuff about what tests well need to do and what the treatment options could be (IUI or IVF) if we were to go that route. There was nothing unique to me and my husband that was addressed because again, this was a CONSULTATION.So when we received the bill in June of 2024 for a whopping $499 we couldnt believe our eyes. It had to be a mistake.We reached out to the Financial Coordinator to which she responded:Dr. Bishop noted your virtual consult was an extensive 1 hour one, which entailed reviewing your and your partners previous history, fertility information and rates, testing needed, and general treatment information.Which was a total LIE. My husband & I literally have call & email records to prove that the consultation was no more than 30 minutes MAX.When I pushed back with this information, the Financial Coordinator responded 2 weeks later saying:Management confirmed that we can bill your insurance for a lesser timed consult. This was billed to your insurance and your insurance now has you responsible for $260.05 as your deductible responsibility for the initial consult.I still feel so cheated that I have to pay $260 for a virtual consultation where the doctor didnt even touch us nor go over any information unique to us, but since its my deductible, it is what it is.Another thing thats worth noting is, after we got our diagnostics test results back and went over them with Dr. Bishop several months later, she completely downplayed my genetic test results. She basically told me to keep up with my monthly breast self-exams at home and do mammograms starting age 40. Didnt give me any sense of urgency at all. It turns out, in talking to a genetic counselor, I should be getting a mammogram and ultrasound NOW. If I hadnt done further due diligence on this on my own, I would have just taken Dr. Bishops word for it and not treated it with the level of urgency and care it requires.All in all, the sum of these experiences completely rubbed me the wrong way and I will NEVER go back to Columbia University Fertility Center, nor recommend this place to anyone I care about. The billing practices are questionable, the medical advice is concerning/negligent and I felt overcharged & underserved.

CUFC is lightyears ahead the other highly-regarded clinic Ive worked with for IVF, especially in terms of communication and patient outcomes. I had contact information for everyone on my team, including my doctor, and everyone was highly responsive. (Communication being email-based was a great fit for me.) They anticipated every need for instruction, medication, etc., and I felt totally held along every step of the process. Monitoring appointments were always speedy and efficient -- in and out. Recovery from my egg retrieval was totally smooth (no hyperstimulation symptoms as in my prior retrievals) and yielded 30+ eggs (the most important part, of course!) I am so glad to have found this clinic!

My experience with Columbia University Fertility Center was truly 10/10. I worked with Dr. Lauren Bishop who was kind, knowledgeable, and empathetic while providing extensive information regarding what to expect. While going through the bloodwork and ultrasound process, Shelly was such a fantastic and warm presence. She always greeted me (& everyone!) with a smile, and was extremely kind, gentle and patient while drawing my blood (I am a bit of a wimp). During what can be an emotionally and physically draining process, she was truly a light!

Our experience was a 10/10 throughout.All of the departments including billing, genetics, etc all coordinated and worked seamlessly with us to make our lives as easy as possible. The center was transparent, informed and straightforward about helping us navigate insurance. I cant stress enough how important the help navigating insurance is.We did 1 round of retrieval & ICSI successfully and are blessed to welcome our first child. Dr. Karipcin and team were amazing every step of the way. They helped to answer all of our questions and guide us through the process in a way that felt personalized.Carina Bertolini, Genetic Counselor, helped us navigate a difficult genetic testing result. Ultimately through her expertise we were able to avoid a more difficult pathway.I cant thank Columbia Fertility enough!

Crazy how much they charge for a zoom consultation. We even reached out ahead of time to ask about cost and were told “you have great insurance it should be covered” then got a bill for $700+ out of pocket. Based on other reviews it’s pretty clear we were intentionally misled. Go somewhere else.

Amazing office with an amazing care team. Very accommodating/flexible schedule making it easy to get to work after a procedure. Dr. McConnell is my doctor for both IUIs and I have great faith in her and her team as our first IUI was successful. The office is state of the art and runs super efficiently, I have never had to wait long for an appointment. There’s even parking right outside the building on the grey strip, which I wish I knew about the first round.

Were incredibly grateful for the exceptional care from Dr. Forman at Columbia University Fertility Center. Our journey through male factor infertility was filled with uncertainty until we trusted Dr. Forman, who recommended IVF as our best option for securing our family. Thanks to his expertise, we retrieved five healthy embryos, and the whole process was well-coordinated despite the distance.Dr. Formans dedication, personal attention, and quick responses, even across time zones as we were living abroad, made this journey exceptional. His clinics meticulous organization speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence. Now, we eagerly await our baby, all thanks to Dr. Forman and CUFC. Choosing them was the best decision we ever made, and we look forward to returning for future transfers with our remaining embryos, knowing theyll be in safe hands at CUFC. Highly recommended!

I’ve been a patient with Columbia Fertility for over 5 years - egg freezing, IVF and finally gynecology during my pregnancy (located a floor below the Clinic)The people who take care of you and help on the journey to have a baby MATTER. I am forever grateful to Dr Sinem Karipcin and her team (the nurses on the PH level are outstanding). Dr. K gets it. My husband, Mike and I credit her with our success - she helped us maintain a positive attitude and her skill level made us comfortable/hopeful. She’s also human, and despite working in a field that has become very ‘corporate’, we believed she was invested in our outcome.Dr K recommended my obgyn, Dr Jessica Fiorelli and I am so happy for this. Dr F is amazing. Mike and I can’t say enough good things. She is straight forward, honest and kind and does her job with a fantastic sense of humor which we always loved. Her bed side manner is a 10.Thank you to everyone involved that helped us achieve a successful pregnancy. We welcomed our son November ‘22

It has taken me a while to write this review. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here and after a couple of years, I am still processing what happened. This facility seems antiquated in their approach and not very sensitive to unique circumstances. This is also reflected in some of their public speeches or contributions to published articles.You are primarily dealing with a care team instead of a doctor directly. While some are kind and professional, others are not. The doctor I met with early on and spoke to sporadically seemed particularly cold, even her comments in my file reflect her disregard for my treatment simply due to my age. I know that usually in this industry you are treated like a number so that wasnt completely shocking. However, as both an alumna and employee of the University at the time, I expected better from Columbia.Still, bad experiences sometimes have a way of leading to better things and this bad experience led me elsewhere where I was able to successfully conceive my beautiful baby girl so for this I am eternally grateful.

I am a new patient ! I am so grateful I was guided to them after being treated like just another number . The experience thus far has been straight forward , knowledgeable and most of all I feel seen . Everyone treats you with kindness . And if you are unfortunately on the same journey as myself Kindness is so important ! I am taken back by levels that were NEVER checked at previous drs that Dr Robles Ordered ! Dr. Wiltshire was absolutely amazing! She is an exceptional communicator, taking time to clearly explain what was happening in terms that made sense to me. Striking the right tone can be so hard for doctors but she nailed it without dumbing things down or relying only on medical jargon. She reached out throughout the process to make sure she answered all my questions and always felt accessible. I never felt rushed and she listened carefully to my concerns to make sure she offered options that met my needs.Dr. Wiltshire was extremely knowledgeable. Because she explained the process so well, I always felt fully informed about my treatment and I trusted her. When there were decisions I needed to make about how to proceed, she equipped me with the necessary information to weigh my options and make the best choice.Dr. Wiltshire demonstrated she cared about me as a patient. She came in on a holiday to perform my procedure, which I really appreciated. Also, I mentioned having difficulty reaching someone for an administrative issue and she made sure they reached out to me so things moved forward, which was super helpful.The clinic was very professional. It was easy to make appointments and I didnt have to wait long.

When 99% of the reviews of a place are five stars, itd raise a red flag for me. Gave this facility a try and was very disappointed and found that this place was the old Center For Womens Reproductive Care At Columbia University (Columbia Doctors) - and please do yourself a favor and read reviews there about this facility, no matter how much renovation it has done to mask the fact that its services are below standard.Essentially, you were talking to a doctor, but working mainly with his care team (nurse, coordinator, billing etc). Speaking of the care team, the coordinator I worked with was so irresponsive, irresponsible, and careless that itd take ages and piles of follow up calls/emails to get a hold her (excuse me, I thought that was your job as a coordinator to coordinate) and each time it felt like you were bothering her.It was also unbelievable that the doctor sought medical authorization from my insurance WITHOUT my consent. I saw the doctor for an initial consultation and was only waiting for the results of my blood tests. While I was only waiting for my results, I got calls from my insurance telling me the medical authorizations for medical procedures had been approved. I was like what? Id never consented to any procedures and the doctor had not yet to discuss me with the results. I thought at least this authorization should come AFTER the doctor had discussed results with me/we agreed on a treatment plan. When I brought this up to the doctor, he just impatiently asked so do you want the procedure? Excuse me! Shouldnt you the doctor had asked me BEFORE you sent the procedure to my insurance company??? Also, when my initial results came out, the doctor DID NOT provide any explanations or advice on what they meant/I should expect, and again when I asked for advice, he gave very vague answers and expected the patient to tell him what to do. Hello, youre the doctor here - and yet I dont feel your confidence in your advice and knowledge.While I told the doctor I was not ready to seek the medical procedure he was asking authorization for, the nurse had already ORDERED my medications. WHAT??? Another patient told me that there should be a consent form to sign before they seek approvals from the insurance and again I was like what was happening?This all feels like desperate salesperson trying to push everything you might not need onto you without even putting the effort to sell it.Theres NO RESPECT from the staff there - youre not only just a number, but an ATM that should just follow whatever they tell you to do (without explanation or your consent on it). Everything feels UNEXPLAINED AND RUSHED as if theres a voice thats telling you to pay up and dont ask questions about it.The Billing department was the worst - they gave you different quote each time you asked them and took months to respond (and that was after you chased after them for answers).Again, it was only an experience for an initial consultation stage - I could never imagine what it would be like if I went through the treatment with them. Read real reviews from real people - at least both the good and the bad before making your decision - a very important one.

Terrible billing team. I have an insurance and instead of charging insurance, the facility keeps charging me. Every time I have to call in and ask the billing staff to re-process the claim and send the bill to my insurance. When I called in today again to correct the situation, I asked the staff member how can I make sure that all bills go insurance. The answer I received was ridiculous. I was told that I have to call in every time and ask them to send it to insurance even though my insurance information is on file. After asking to be transferred to a supervisor, the billing rep hung up the phone.

I highly recommend Columbia Fertility and Dr. Bishop! Dr. Bishop and everyone on her team were amazing. We were so glad that we found them and decided to go through IUI with them. Our first round of IUI was successful and now we are 8 weeks pregnant! Dr. Bishop is very thorough and patient, and everyone on the team were super professional and responsive. I was very stressed when I first learned about my diagnosis (PCOS), and Dr. Bishop listened to me and suggested ways that I could gather reliable information so I dont freak out googling my symptoms online. The five person team assigned to every patient: the doctor, care coordinator, financial coordinator, nurse and medication coordinator worked really well together. I know I always have ways to reach out to a specific person if I have any specific questions. I liked even with multiple morning monitory appointments, I had the option to schedule it as early as 7am and I never had to take a day off for that. My husband and I felt very much supported by Dr. Bishop and the team during the whole process. The nurses, receptionists, technicians and everyone who work there were so pleasant and kind. They all listen to our concerns and questions, and they respond real fast and we were never left confused or concerned. Even during weekends, the nurse on call would call you back within 20min to address your questions. We had a great experience here and we are more than grateful. Highly recommend!

100% positive feedback! Columbia Fertility is the model of professionalism and quality care. My experience from tip to tail was beyond impressive.... Having a full & dedicated care team with specialists, coordinators, nurses, etc provided me with a level of support I didnt even know I could expect from a medical experience. The team is stellar. The most touching part is that I truly felt like they were ROOTING for me the whole time and despite seeing so many cases, I felt like they actually cared about me having a positive outcome. The empathetic, kind, gentle bedside manner cannot be understated. The clinic operates like a Swiss train station. Its digitally advanced, e.g. easy online booking via the MyChart app for morning appointments. I never questioned the process because it was so organized and predictable, I felt educated, resourced, supported, communicated-with and informed the entire way. If you (reader) have to go through fertility treatment, you truly NEED a care team that feels like a supportive and trusted partner to you throughout this process because you will have enough to worry about anyway. And the outcome? A safe & healthy pregnancy. Appreciate this team so much (shout-out to my ER Dr. McConnell.) If I had to go through this again, without a doubt I would return to Columbia Fertility.

Stay away. This business will give you incorrect information about your insurance coverage and you will have to go through blood draws and invasive intravaginal ultrasounds because they tell you your insurance covers it, only to then be told a month later that their financial office gave you the incorrect information and you are now responsible for thousands of out-of-pocket expenses in addition to not being able to get IVF. Rather than being apologetic or trying to work with you, their finance manager, Lisa Tavares, will tell you that the insurance verification they do is only “a courtesy” and is subject to a disclaimer that it might be false or inaccurate and so if you rely (reasonably) on the information that their “Patient financial” team gives you in writing, that your insurance covers your procedure here, they will tell you that it is your fault and not work with you to be empathetic or take responsibility.

This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a medical facility just now. I called to schedule an appointment with a reproductive immunologist and the doctor I was referred to was booked for 6 months so I was told more than once that I was being scheduled with another reproductive immunologist who had about a 2 month wait. I currently have many chronic illnesses and am going through IVF so this appointment was absolutely CRUCIAL to this process. First I tried logging on and couldnt get the virtual appointment to connect (on their end) so I called the office and STILL couldnt connect when they transferred me to the next department. I had to call 3 times to be able to talk to someone on the phone. THEN I finally get someone on the phone and all of the information they have in my chart was wrong including my appointment time. THEN I finally get the virtual appointment working and they scheduled me with a doctor who IS NOT A REPRODUCTIVE IMMUNOLOGIST! I confirmed several times with the woman on the phone that this other doctor dealt with that specialty and she said she did. The doctor was very nice but the staff was some of the worst Ive ever encountered. Im absolutely furious. This could be the reason my upcoming IVF cycle fails.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Forman for helping us through our journey to have our little girl. IVF is a bumpy road and a roller coaster of emotions. Throughout our struggle, Dr. Forman remained positive, level headed, and gave us hope. He was easy to communicate with-always there to answer questions, made himself available to talk on weekends, returned emails in a timely manner, etc. The nurses and staff at Columbia Fertility were also great, and very helpful and knowledgeable. I always felt supported, and that I was in good hands. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Forman at Columbia. He is truly a genius- an expert in his field and up to date on all current treatment options. He is easy to talk to and listens to all of your concerns and fears with a calm manner. He also has an incredible memory and you will feel like you’re his only patient (seriously)!Dr. Forman always responds to emails in an extremely timely fashion and you can feel that he really wants the best for all of his patients.The nurses and whole staff at Columbia are wonderful as well. I always received highly awaited results so quickly. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Everyone was always so pleasant and eager to engage in conversation. The atmosphere at Columbia is also very inviting- the waiting room is very calming and the exam rooms are clean and well lit. I always felt comfortable there.And the best part of all- we had success with Dr. Forman after years of trying!! I highly recommend Dr. Forman and Columbia University Fertility Center- you will truly be in the best of hands!

After three years on our fertility journey we were blessed with our first pregnancy. My husband and I had been to a different fertility clinic located upstate which yielded only frustration and false hope. At Columbia Fertility Clinic there is an ethos of professionalism, compassion, unparalleled expertise. Dr. McConnell has an exceptional bedside manner. She and her team truly takes time to go through each minute detail of your journey to build trust and confidence. I cannot thank them enough and would HIGHLY encourage anyone to go to this facility.

Treatment here was a great experience. I didnt see my doctor every visit during treatment, but the other doctors and staff were also kind and helpful. Monitoring visits are quick. My IVF was successful and I will be returning for number two.

I cannot say enough about how great Dr. Forman and the staff of Columbia University Fertility is! I am not local to NYC but have had prior experience with Dr. Forman and so I wanted to work with him again, regardless of location. His bedside manner is incredible and calming. He is brilliant in my book. Staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Results and emails are answered in a timely manner. Wait time in waiting rooms is minimal, if at all. I am so grateful to Dr. Forman and CUF for some many reasons!

Doctor Forman is the best. I had an amazing experience with the doctor and with his staff, Doctor Forman will reply to your emails for any questions and the nurses are the same super attentive to their patient. After my first try I am blessed to be pregnant of a beautiful baby, I am 16 weeks now.

As I did visit few clinics before, I can surely say that none of them matches the Columbia Fertility Center. Columbia Fertility Center is beautiful (new), clean, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and, most importantly, has great staff to work with. The staff is very kind, welcoming and very professional. On that note I have to say that I dont have enough words to express my gratitude for Dr. Eric Forman and his staff at Columbia University Fertility under his lead. From the receptionist to the doctors, nurses and all the way to the last person in the Lab you will encounter only wonderful people. It is like God had handpicked this team. As for the Dr. Forman, well... he is definitely a godsend! He is the kindest doctor you will ever meet. What makes him special - apart from his experience and knowledge in the field along with his high successful fertility rate, is his availability and willingness to kindly answer all your questions (good, bad or just silly) thru all channels possible (email, phones, sms, face-to-face, etc.). Dr. Forman made both my husband and I feel safe, secure and in good hands. Dr. Forman and his staff are so friendly they felt like extended family. I certainly recommend you Columbia Fertility center and Dr. Forman from all my heart! Have faith and go meet Dr. Forman at Columbia Fertility!

This review is long overdue, I have meant to post my experience for a long time. It’s hard to put into words the experience I have had at CWRC and specifically with Dr. Forman. No one wants to be in the situation to need a fertility doctor but if you do find yourself in that situation, the care, time, and treatment received at this facility exceeds expectations. This is due to Dr. Forman. Any doctor can be educated and have the capabilities of being a fertility doctor but it takes the right kind of person, a truly special person, to really connect with patients to the extent that makes patients feel supported and confident with the fertility treatment they are receiving. Dr. Forman goes above and beyond hands down. This is not something that is the case in a typical fertility facility. I have a beautiful two year old daughter thank to CWRC and Dr. Forman. I have not only Endometriosis but Systemic Lupus, obvious challenges against me but I truly believe because of CWRC and Dr. Forman I am a mother of a two year old little girl and currently in another IVF cycle that right now is looking promising, fingers crossed :)

My experience was absolutely positive, and i can without a doubt recommend it. My journey was not easy and it took almost 2 years. But through the whole process the entire staff has been nothing but amazing, helpful and very responsive. I also love how organized the whole process is. I never sat in the waiting room for a long time and every visit was always very smooth. And the best of all, is the result. We cant wait to meet our little miracle in July.

This is one of the best clinic I have ever been to! All the doctors are world class, and also other Stuffs are so kind, helpful and very much responsible! From treatment procedure to test results to financial matters...everything is taken care by them very professionally. I am already recommending some of my friends and family to visit this place to try to achieve their dreams! Unfortunately, my experience was horrible. Still processing my discomfort. The procedures and action plan taken in my case was totally unacceptable and lack of coherence. They did an egg retrieval and after waking up from the anestesia the doctor said that they didn’t found any eggs. I was there early, I follow all the procedures. The bloodwork and ultrasound results were great according to them. However they are charging and IVF and ICSI procedures without having any eggs to fertilize. I feel that I waste my time, energy and still emotional and devastated.

This was the best doctor’s office I’ve ever been to thanks to the amazing, caring, and attentive staff. Dr. Ribaudo was there for me every step of my journey and all of the doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff are always available to answer any questions. So grateful for everything!

The right place to go for treatment, their professionalism is incredible, it was my first app. With Dr. Brady and since she started her conversation i knew that i was in the right place.
