Planned Parenthood - Mulberry Health Center (formerly known as Chubb)

Took a long time to be seen but thats what happens if you do a walk-in. They nearly turned me away due to being fully booked but changed that when they learned I was having an extremely time sensitive issue. You will need to explain your situation to each professional individually. They do pass down a file but in my case they left out a crucial detail, which made a minor emergency look like a routine procedure. The best thing about this place is that the nurses and doctors listen and communicate with patients effectively and compassionately. Biggest problem is they dont communicate with each other as effectively, so you have to bridge that gap by repeating yourself a lot.

Been waiting for someone to pick up the phone for 10 minutes now just to schedule an appointment!!! Very Unprofessional! Then I just got the voicemail. like yall are sitting there doing nothing. its sad how people have jobs and dont even care to do them. Reporting them asap! every day if i have to. something has to change

If you going here make sure you taking a pillow, they will make you wait a long time. Also, the people working there is not happy with their job because they don’t care about the patients. I had a lot of questions about birth control and the woman that assisted me was not able to answer all my questions and I felt like I was bothering her.

Unprofessional can’t even answer their phone even tho they’re still opened. I wouldn’t even bother going to this place. No skills to answer the phone and send it straight to voicemail I could only imagine how they treat people. Don’t waste your time

I visited this location and the director of Nursing, Ashley, was patient and did an amazing job of making sure I was taken care of.

I’m not sure why this location has such bad reviews. My experience was great, I waited less than 45 minutes to be serviced. I pre-filled all my info online so I didn’t need to sign anything when I got there. Everyone was so kind & attentive to my needs. Especially the Spanish girl that works in the front office. (Forgot her name) but she was sooo sweet. As a woman of color, I felt very comfortable at this location & appreciated the quick service. Tbh, this location was the FIRST planned parenthood location where I was in & out. I usually wait over 3+ hours to be serviced at other locations.

This place is bad The Hispanic girl that work on 10/5/2023. The office online says they are open , I went to the place of business and on the door place said they were open At 9am this woman did not come to the door until a security Guard ring the bell, to open the door , once the door was open the security Guard asking her , what your hiding so they both laughed. So Im like it 9am it said your open , she still talking to the fake security Guard and then finally answered me we dont open until 10, then close the door , This is a place of business that service the community, if you dont want to work here to service the people then go find other job , after that day I will never come back it not worth the trouble , I

Just called in a few mins ago , lady on the phone was no help told me go to the emergency room and said “ite” and hang up on me didn’t ask no questions nothing.

This has to be the worst place ever. Scammers too. I went in for a very sensitive thing, and when I made the appointment they took my insurance info to verify the service they were going to provide me with was a covered service. I then get a call a few days before my appointment where the woman confirmed my appointment date along with confirming that the service they would provide was covered under my insurance. Went along with the appointment, everything went smoothly, then a month later I get a bill in the mail for almost $1,000. I called them and they said “your insurance didn’t cover what was serviced to you”. After THEY we’re the ones that confirmed it was. I called my insurance and they said that they did get a call from them, but they didn’t ask about the service they were going to give me necessarily, but rather they just asked about an office visit in general. Now they refuse to get back to me and they’re trying to stick me with $1,000 for a service I wouldn’t have gotten from them if they had ACTUALLY DONE THEIR JOBS and found out the RIGHT information, that I actually wasn’t covered, instead of this. Go literally ANYWHERE but here. I’d even argue any place BUT Planned Parenthood.

They Take So Freaking Long To See You It’s Ridiculous. (Been Here About 7 Times In My Lifetime) They Took Long Each Time I’ve Been Here. Then Once You’ve Seen The Nurse You Have To Wait Longer For The Doctor 😑

I wish I could give zero stars I’ve been here since 7:00 AM the lady that works in the front desk she’s a lazy unprofessional she should be fired.She hates her job she’s so miserable with her attitude giving people A hard time for nothing .I’ve been coming here for years since I was 16 never had a problem. Her name is Arlene. Short hair speaks Spanish. I just got married my my license name changed but I had all the pictures to prove it but she still gave me a hard time I was waiting in line for two hours I was the first one and she did not care and wanted to send me away. She’s a miserable person she should get a new job. And not to mention my appointments at 9.00 Is she only opens the door after 910

Place was very spacious and clean. Be mindful of parking. Nurses and doctors explained everything to me, very friendly staff. Will go again

The worst place in the whole world. I was going to instead IUD and at first everything was fine and I went inside fast and as soon as I entered and sat in the waiting room to wait for the doctor. After I sat with the front office lady she was asking me questions about what ID I am gonna use and a lot of questions then we both signed and she signed as a witness then I went to the room where we wait for the doctor A lady walked in I am not sure if she was a doctor or not. I have her name and all the emails they sent me. So I layed down to start the IUD and she has someone to help her and I don’t know if she was a nurse or what. They were suspicious with their movements and at the first second she was so scared the lady the was called a doctor. She was terrified and she didn’t know what to do and she made me hurt and in pain and I started screaming and I told her to stop and let me go but she didint know what to do to insert the IUD. It feels like it was her first time doing the job and it took her a while to try to insert the IUD she took a long time I was in so much pain and she hurt me. And she told me I am finished right now but she kept working and trying and finnaly she left and then I went home and after 3 days I was in so much pain in my stomach and I went to my doctor to make an Altru sound and the doctor couldn’t find the IUD so the day after I had way more pain I went to an emergency room I had a CT to try to find it because I had so much pain and we finnaly found it in a weird area in the wrong place and it was in the worst place ever and it was the worst experience and I have been inserting it for 15 years and It’s not my first time inserting it. This is the first time a doctor ever did this to me.worst doctor ever

Called multiple times trying to pay a bill no answer months later I will be disputing this bill then as there is no way for me to pay it

I had an appointment and still had to wait TWO HOURS to be seen! They kept taking walk-ins instead of taking care of their appointments that were waiting. Their excuse was we are short staffed today. All the more reason to take the people WITH APPOINTMENTS FIRST!!! Never again will I come to this trash location. By the way, this location was not by choice. Where I had my appointment in Montclair, the Ultrasound Tech wasnt available today and I needed to be seen ASAP so they switched me for the same time to this location.

Cannot stress enought how wonderful my experience was here. The staff was polite and they were very clean and thorough, especially with COVID precautions.I did have to call the office a couple of times to get more info about making an appt. It wasnt until someone at the office finally told me when the March schedule would be up with availability on their website that I was finally able to book an appt.Dr. Aneekah Simmons-Durham was extremely nice and helpful and was able to help me. So glad I had her to see me.

Horrible. Dont go there! Barely wanted to do their jobs. Asked for help with making an appointment& was told no could only do it online. Sat down in waiting area and another person walked in and they had no issues making an appointment for him next week.Jennifer the receptionist is useless!

The nurses and receptionist was nice and treated me better then the doctor who seened me. Maybe she had a bad day or so im not sure but i was thankful for the information they gave me but dont come to this clinic unless your ready to wait outside and wait for your actually appointment time, they dont take anyone early here.

I swear, this place is such an unethical, unprofessional place to visit, starting with managers and all of the staff under. I cant believe to pick up pills theres over 2 hours of wait time, to think they treat everyone as a patient waiting to be seen by a doctor. All the doctor has to do is authorized the pills under my account in their system, and thats it, no exam what so ever. Is a disgrace how they overbook appointment patients, and still take so many walk-ins, while others gotta wait just for pick ups. Need to hire more staff or doctors with courtesy to ones time, and to help in submitting authorizations, which is only one click. These people can not be serious. Run from this place or go elsewhere while you can.Others suffer while their Medicaid financial gains that are quotas need to be met.

The receptionist is rude and slow as molasses. She motioned me through the receptionist window and then proceeded to have an attitude with me because I couldnt hear her. The workers always manage to be fashionably late because they never open on the time listed on the door or internet. Next time Ill take the day off and go to PP in Montclair.

Just left this place it was a five star experience until I seen the physician assistant she had a strong personality. She was insensitive.i told her i don’t want birth control because it can cause weight gain! She mentioned my weight 🤔and basically saying I’m overweight and In the gist of I don’t think she knew what she said and that she offended me. Anyways her comments so rude and as a health care professional you should have known better.

This place is an absolute joke. They never open on time and it doesnt matter what time your app Is either because you wont be seen for atleast another two hours anyways. Last time I was there at 9 and nobody opened the door for us even though we saw someone peak their heads out to look at us from inside. Avoid this place at all costs

This place is trash they dont give you the proper information and make you waste your time and money.! Made an appointment way in advance and now they refused to see me because i was with my child. It makes no sense to give people misunformation. Worse planned parenthood ever. Do not go here

The wait to be seen was 3 hours long. I felt like I was being held hostage. If you need a yearly routine exam like I did, please go elsewhere. This place is worth the wait.
