What an amazing experience! Dr Overcash was extremely kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank goodness I have finally found a physician who truly understands hormones, and menopause. He clearly stays up to date on womens health and hormone treatment. He spent time explaining, answering questions and making me feel completely comfortable. Cannot say enough about him! Wonderful!!

My experience in the office was fine and Dr. Overcash was very nice but I can’t recommend this office and won’t be back. I went in for a routine pap smear and got the results back from the lab saying there wasn’t enough of a sample to actually test. So I basically wasted my time and was in an uncomfortable position for nothing. The office never reached out to offer to do another pap smear and re-test.

Great experience. I felt listened to and treated like my concerns were important. He did a great job of explaining things to me. He has great bedside manner and doesn’t rush through the appointment.

Went in to have sonogram results gone over for an abnormally sized ovarian cyst. The first thing that was done was a pelvic exam from which I was told that my uterus is “crooked”. Dr. Larry Overcash did not follow up on that or tell me what that means. When I asked about sonogram results he said that it’s large (which he knew I already was aware of), and to also come back in 3 months. Nothing else was said. What a waste of my time. He told me that it’s possible for the cyst to kill my ovary, “and if that happens you’ll be throwing up and going back to the ER.” I was in the ER because I had a kidney stent put in. He told me that “he doesnt like OSF.” And that he doesnt think it’s a good idea I have a stent. He is not a urologist so not sure why he felt the need to comment on that. He wasn’t there to see how sick I was when I had my kidney infection. I’ve had kidney problems/surgeries all my life. Moral of the story, I feel more anxious about my health than before I came in for my appointment. All Dr. Overcash did was get me more worked up. Followed up on nothing, was no help to me at all. If your patient is telling you they feel that something is wrong, LISTEN!!! Don’t IGNORE!!!

I can not say enough great things about Dr. Overcash and his staff! After months of dealing with issues and other doctors telling me that nothing is wrong, within a few minutes of seeing Dr. Overcash; he diagnosed me and had a solution on what was needed to be done. I felt heard and will definitely be continuing to see him for my future services. The staff - amazing! So polite, professional, and friendly! Thank you all again so so much!

I love Dr. Overcash. Ive been seeing him since I was a teenager. So at least 20 years now. Nobody looks forward to their yearly appt but he has always made me feel comfortable and gets everything done quickly and painlessly. I’ve been a patient of Dr Overcash over 35 years. He’s a good Dr and he really cares about his patients. He helped deliver my oldest son 30 years ago.

Dr. Overcast should be proud of the reputation he has built. He made me feel very comfortable and had all the answers to some things I am going through. I am very happy.

Dr. Overcash, as a doctor is very good at his job, and I would recommend him for any procedure with out a doubt. His staff is so disrespectful and this last encounter with my daughter blows my mind. I called to inform them about a serious matter, and they had her come in as a standby. When she arrived and waited an hour to be seen they made her feel like an inconvenience. They made her feel worse than she already did. She had a previous encounter that scared her and instead of just reassuring her that things were ok, they made her feel embarrassed and ashamed she even went in. A doctors office I used to recommend and brag about, enraged me like no other. What the hell. I pray no one ever treats them or someone they love like that.

Dr Overcash is always super nice and friendly! He answers any questions I may have, and keeps a conversation going so the appointment isn’t uncomfortable. I love having him as my doctor and would highly recommend him to others!!

I am over a month postpartum and I am unfortunately unsatisfied with the care I received. The communication, support and education I received as a first time mom was poor. Dr. Overcash had originally told me he didn’t want me going to my due date and wanted me to deliver sooner than later. Next appointment, he was annoyed that the perinatologist wanted me to deliver at 38 weeks. I really wasn’t given any education on what to expect during delivery. There was no communication from him during my labor especially at the end when he had his hand inside me and was stitching me up without even telling me I had a tear or what was going on. At my postpartum appointment, I was shocked they didn’t administer a postpartum depressions scale or inquire much about how I am doing mentally. It is hard being a first time mom and I was overall disappointed in how I was treated.

Literally the best Gynecologist I have ever had. He listens fully without rushing me, answers my questions thoroughly with compassion, patience, and helpfulness. His staff are always polite. I love how I can view all of my results on the patient portal. They respond to their messages within a day or two. My wait time has never been more than 15 to 20 minutes.

I was just saying to my Dr. That I never want him to retire because the younger generation Dr.’s do not spend the kind of time with their patients that Dr. Overcash does with his patients. Dr. Overcash interacts with his patients and actually asked questions and is interested in our health and well-being. He doesn’t come into the office in a rush to do his job and get out in less than five minutes like some other doctors offices I’ve visited. It’s a rare find to have a doctor that spends quality time with his patients and is truly interested in their well-being. Dr.Overcash delivered my son in September. He was amazing both during my pregnancy and after. He listens to what your concerns are and makes you feel heard and understood. He also did my hysterectomy after we discussed all my options. He didn’t push and let me decide what my best decision was and just gave pros and cons. He’s an amazing doctor and person! Would definitely recommend him and his practice because they are all amazing!!

Ive never had better care with any other gynecologist!! They were able to squeeze me in the same day I called for heavy bleeding and extreme pelvic/abdominal pain, Erin and Dr. Overcash were both very kind, and they did their best to make me as comfortable as possible throughout the exams. I was sent to the hospital to be admitted because Dr. Overcash(correctly) suspected cervical cancer was the cause of the bleeding and pain. I dont know what I would have done or how I would have gotten through that day without them and I couldnt be more grateful to both of them! You can tell they both really care about their patients! I couldnt recommend them enough! The receptionist and all of the other ladies working in the building are just as amazing and kind! If you want a gynecologist who actually cares about your well-being youve found the right place!

The experience was great at this place! The NP was very nice and cared about the questions she was asking me. All of the questions I had were answered as well. I left feeling like I made a good choice for my pregnancy. The first appointment was a bit long, was there for an hour, but just due to education that was given, wait time was a bit long, and I had my blood drawn all in the same appointment. I loved being able to talk to the office manager! He made me very comfortable knowing how my billing would work throughout my pregnancy.

I have seen several gynecologists, nurses, doctors throughout my life, but I’ve never had a doctor listen to me as much as they do here. I’ve always been bypassed and ignored. Never had someone be sympathetic about my health/symptoms. I couldn’t have found a better doctor. I am truly grateful for them there. I am finally heard and cared for. I was high risk because i was 46 when i had him. He made sure that myself and baby were well taken care of. I had my baby a month early. My baby was able to go home with me the next day. Everyone in the office--from the welcoming receptionist, to the nurses and Doc Overcash--is wonderful. Wait time was minimal. I barely had time to sit and take my coat off before I was called in. Doc is willing to spend all the time you need to answer any questions and makes you feel comfortable and not rushed at all. Excellent care provided. Id highly recommend to anyone.

I finally feel like I’m in good hands. A recent health scare has taken me to multiple providers- and none put me at ease the way Dr. Overcash and Erin have. Dr. Overcash has delivered my two sons and he and Erin Overcash are both attentive and supportive throughout pregnancy. I have had nothing but great experiences with them both. I called back in June to schedule and when scheduling I asked if they would make a reminder phone call before the appointment. The woman said absolutely that I would likely get one or two reminder phone calls before the appointment. Fast forward to this morning where I received a phone call to say I missed my appointment yesterday and would need to pay $25 fee before rescheduling. I figured okay no problem and called the office. The woman I spoke to this morning, Karla, was rather rude and blunt with saying that she is not willing to reschedule me even if I pay the missed appointment fee. I’m not sure if she’s having a bad day or if the office just doesn’t hold true to their word but it’s highly unprofessional to say you will give reminder calls and then refuse to reschedule. Karla, if you see this, I hope you truly learn to have more compassion for the people around you. You were beyond rude on the phone and practically yelled at me while I was in tears explaining my current life circumstances. If you have changed your policy, you should be sending that out at the time of appointment scheduling.

Dr. Overcash genuinely cares for his patients and thats why hes been my doctor for 28 years. His staff and he are reliable and efficient. The office runs very smoothly which is greatly appreciated.

This practice has taken care of me since 1984. Never dissatisfied. Dr. Overcash is a good doctor and his staff are great!

Really not understanding how they have a 4.9 rating? I came to them when my insurance fell through at my other obgyn office where I was always heard. I never felt like I was a pest. Which isn’t the case at this office , since I became a patient here I have never felt welcomed.

One of the rudest doctors office I’ve ever called! That’s right I didn’t even want to schedule because of the horrible service I just received. I waited on hold for a few minutes (which is to be expected) once I got to speak with someone I told them that I was a new patient and wanted to see about scheduling an appointment. She responded with “well we only take select new patients so what’s going on”. I told her I needed a check up and I had some other private concerns that I wasn’t to speak with the doctor about. She responded with “well you’re going to have to tell me the other stuff”. I felt uncomfortable doing so, so I attempted to ask if it was necessary and she HUNG UP ON ME! How rude! First off, do I have to enough problems to even be considered into this office?! Like seriously? Secondly, have a little grace and patience! Not everyone is up front about everything and things are embarrassing. I’ve never have had a company treat me so rude before. I’m glad this happened over the phone because if I would have received this type of treatment during the visit I would have been very upset. The funny thing about all this is I researched for 3 days on good reputable doctors in the area and they were my #1 choice. I hope the doctors know what kind of staff they are hiring because people will turn the other and find someone else with how their ladies are answering the phones! I hope this lady find peace and blessings. Who knows maybe it was a bad day.

Dr. Overcash was wonderful! Not only professional, but down to earth and kind. I was nervous and he had me laughing. Id recommend his practice to anyone. Thankful that he will be taking care of me.

My appointment went great! It was my first time ever going to the gynecologist. I was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I have never had a good experience with a gynecologist and it causes me a lot of anxiety to go, but I needed a new provider. Given that I have PCOS and was looking for someone with experience that would listen to me and really help, I decided to give Dr. Overcash a shot. I am so thankful to have finally found somewhere I feel cared for by the staff and to have a doctor that was quick and efficient, but also kind and took the time to talk to me and answer ALL of my questions. Dr. Overcash is very inconsiderate of your birth preferences. I was 37 weeks pregnant with my first baby and he wanted to induce due to how large my baby was. I told him my birth preferences that I’ve had since I conceived my child and told him the research that I’ve done to back up my inspiration. After telling him my thoughts on an induction he told me “you’ll never know more than me, I’ve been doing this for a long time and I know what I’m talking about.” He was very passive aggressive and even threatened to do a c section if I waited for the baby to come out on her own. I changed OBs that day. I went to Teverbaugh Croland and Mueller in Peoria and they are awesome! Don’t go to Overcash, he’s a major Richard. I did not feel safe with him at all.

Erin was awesome! She made me feel so comfortable and was very friendly. She explained everything that she was doing and why she was doing it. She also answered all of my questions without any hesitation or judging me. I love this office already!

Didn’t feel like my concerns were heard or that I was being given individualized care in relation to my medical history. DR quoted “birth control pills are all pretty much the same now a days”. Didn’t feel I was taken seriously and felt I was rushed through and pressured into the preset option the doctor had decided on before talking to me. Had to call back to discuss with a nurse and get the treatment plan I preferred.

Always feel comfortable visiting Dr. Overcashs office! Friendly and efficient staff!

This man is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! After an awful experience with Dr. MA of another practice I was blessed enough to come across Dr. Overcash who was the exact opposite of Dr. MA. Dr. Overcash actually took the time to listen to my concerns, I did not feel rushed at all and he and his staff were wonderful!!! Thank goodness for him, I thought Id never find a good obgyn in Peoria!

I saw Dr. Overcash after trying to conceive for about a year with no luck. He was very rude during my consultation and appointment. He told me that everyone in America just wants things instantly nowadays and that hes known a couple who have been trying for 10 years and they still arent pregnant. Then preceeded to tell me that it was in Gods hands. Terrible experience and I would not recommend for anyone who is TTC or struggling with infertility.

Love that I get reminders the week before and the day of the appointment. Then Dr. Overcash is almost always on schedule. Compassionate and thorough in his examination.

If I could give ZERO stars if I could!I will NEVER recommend Dr. Overcash to anyone. Since day one when I met Overcash in the hospital I felt pushed aside and like he didnt care. I have been dealing with a VERY LARGE ovarian cyst for the last week and a half and it has been an absolute nightmare for me.The amount of pain severely interfered with my daily tasks to even function. Not ONCE did Overcash prescribe any pain meds for me. Nothing. Simply scheduled surgery to get it removed, which mind you was a WEEK out.In the meantime while waiting for surgery, my ovarian cyst ruptured causing EXCRUCIATING pain and leading me back to the hospital. After being discharged I saw Overcash the next day and the first words he says to me is, well I guess Im not making money off of you this week.Im sorry WHAT?! I was speechless! I seriously didnt even know what to say because my mind was still trying to process that my healthcare provider literally just said that me. So then I voiced my concerns about how things should have been handled better and how upset I was because I should not have had to deal with that much pain, especially when things could have been resolved a week ago! So then he replied well Im sorry you feel that way. I stopped talking at that point because clearly he did not care.Overcash is unprofessional, has zero bedside manner, and clearly only cares about making money and not his patients. So PLEASE save yourself the time and trouble and find an OBGYN that cares and will actually help you!

So I am writing this review because I am super frustrated as a whole with how I have been treated throughout this entire process of trying to find a doctor in Peoria.Yesterday my husband and I had booked a fertility consultation with Dr. Overcash. We arrived, and it was kinda hard to find the building but after driving around, I did see it as I had scoured the website and they have a great photo of the location.When I was booking the appt. I explained to the girl on the phone that I am looking for a doctor in the area as we are preparing to have a baby, and my current OB in Chicago recommended I find someone closer. She took all of my information (including the wrong phone number) but never mentioned that it was a patient only experience.When we arrived in the lobby, 2 staff members were behind the counter WITHOUT masks, and a third masked woman who I can only assume was the pitboss or APRN. No one introduced themselves to me, other than to say my husband couldnt be there. I promptly explained were here for a consultation, and the masked woman said well, well have to clear it with the doctor because we cant be picking and choosing who get preferential treatment. I asked her to do that.I was sent into the hallway by the elevator with my husband to wait and hear back on what the dr. said. It turns out that he wouldnt meet Tyler, and I promptly cancelled my appt.I realize every practice is different, however Im going to leave this here; if I can go to Walmart, if I can go to work, if I can walk into A DOCTORS OFFICE and see people behind the counter that work there not wearing masks, then my husband can be involved in my prenatal care appointments. There is a serious lack of patient advocacy in America from both patient and family. Some of the questions my husband had were how many c sections do you perform? What do you consider dangerous and how often do you use Pitocin? What is the likelyhood of her having a low intervention birth (due to my issues)? there were more but you can tell from these that my 25 year old husband cares** and did research into what happens to women and more specifically what might happen to me. Dont you think that merits some concern and Id also like to state that while sure, he could have teleconferenced in for that, was he expected to miss our ultrasound appointments? Because excuse me but teleconferencing isnt acceptable.And for those of you saying well what about this that and the other, I dont care. None of that is the case, and this experience has been unacceptable all the way around. My husband is my partner. We are taking on parenting seriously, and if you dont think that starts at conception, and right down to choosing a doctor perhaps you have it wrong.

Dr Overcash spends the time with you that you & he always ask if there is something else that I need to talk about. I’ve used him for 29 year’s

Larry Overcash is a life saver Ive dealt with painful periods for about a year in a half now. In and out of the ER Ive seen 3 different OBYGNS none of them could figure out why... on my 1st visit with overcash his was able to tell me what was going on and gave me a solution. I am very grateful for him in pleased with my overall experience with him. So if your in peoria illinois overcash is the way to go.
