I went in to Neshoba General to have my gallbladder removed. Everyone was very nice and polite. Veronica drew my blood effortlessly. The surgical crew took very good care of me (nurses Mallory, Jordan and Lisa 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 as well at Pam with anesthesia). Dr. Dabbs explained everything prior to the procedure and followed up afterwards - thanks so much Dr. Dabbs. The post surgery attending nurse, Kristen, took excellent care of me until I was discharged that afternoon. Thank you Neshoba General!!

The ER department was great the problem I have is I went in for severe abdominal pain turns out my gallbladder had stones in it the provider and the nurses were amazing however they said they will call me with my appointment because they expressed the importance of this gallbladder surgery quickly. I did receive a call the next day which was nice HOWEVER I specifically asked the young lady if I was going to be having surgery that day she said yes and to not eat anything past 12am yay! Well I’m all excited because this gallbladder has been bothering me for the past month! 10/10 pain I get in only to find out number one it was not surgery just a consult that was scheduled even though I already know I need surgery!! I should’ve freaking known but was going off the advice of my previous phone call number 2! They want $6000 damn dollars and can only get me in until 3 weeks what a joke I’m pissed not at the ER staff just upset the miscommunication. These attacks hurt bad so I guess I’ll wait till it gets so severe that it become an emergency thanks for nothing!

Slow as hell , a lot of employees on phones and not working , medical equipment from 90’s . You’d probably be better to just stay home and deal with it on your own than go to these people .

Worse hospital ever.My 66 yr old mom had been sick for a few days so we took her to the emergency room. where they did nothing She was there for a week. They said she needs to be transferred by UMass hospital and Boston has no beds. Did you think to try Worcester They didnt think of that there was a bed.she got to Worcester by this time all her organs were shutting down She made it 24hrs and died.another storyA friend who passed out and brought her by ambulance. We were there for 2 hours and would not give us any info and would not let her husband see her She asked for him also.to even went to the point of shutting their window in our face so it couldnt ask any more questions. Then call the police.then she didnt want to wait for the CAT scan so they said She could leave but I was responsible for if she went home and died.

Was having a very rough menstrual cycle. This place doesnt even have an OBGYN on staff to help with anything relating to that. Fine, whatever. But when I kept collapsing, they tried to assure me I was fine and not to come back up there. Came in by ambulance and they stuck me in the waiting room. Nurse would barely let me talk, seemed angry with me.They said inane things like its impossible to lose too much blood on your period, it regenerates every five seconds, you cant bleed out.Eventually, I finally had the ambulance take me to Meridian, where they found out I was very anemic and needed a blood transfusion right away.I want to make this clear: If I had listened to these people, I would have died.Just go to Meridian or another bigger hospital. This place is a death trap.

On 7/11/23 I pulled up to the Hospital entrance. A guard and another guy who had director on his badge walks up to help my disabled brother get out of the car. This is the type of customer service that everyone deserves. Whoever you were I appreciate you guys. Thanks

Would rate a 0 if possible. We brought a minor child in for something and the triage nurse was so aggressive towards me and my family that we left. No hospitality...rude service...no professionalism...would not recommend unless your dying. Complete and total waste of time. Theyre supposed to be there to help preserve life not make more miserable. If your already in a stressful situation by going to the ER then go in there and be treated terrible. Absolutely miserable experience.

Not a bad small county hospital. The times I have had to use their services I have always friendly professional staff from administration checking in to the medical staff. The hospital always looks and appears very clean in all the areas I have been in. The worst problem I ever encountered here was with an orthopedic appointment that didn’t have near the space needed for the amount of patients booked for the once a month visit the doctor makes to the hospital. There wasn’t near enough seating and the wait was time was extremely long for an appointment. So, unless you just can’t make the drive it wouldn’t really wouldn’t be worth the trouble, or maybe they’ve fixed that issue.

First of all let me say that the doctors, nurses, and general staff are rude! They do not even knock on the door or respect your privacy! They are SLOW! They dont even want to help you or make you feel better. The doctors/nurses are very rude and stuck up. I HATE THIS HOSPITAL! The ER is very nasty. There was blood on the floor and trash. The hospital staff are very lazy!

I would like for my wife to go here and not be treated like nothing is wrong. They always send us home with no medications and not knowing what is wrong. At one time we brought our now 3 year old there after she fell and hit her head. After xrays and CT scans, the dr came in the room gave us a literal thumbs up and said we could leave. No explanation, nothing. So a week later, she is still screaming and crying because her head hurts and acting not like herself, as well as her eyes were black and blue, so my wife and I decide to bring her to Andersons in Meridian. They checked her again and the doctor told us that she had a hematoma on her brain. She explained what that meant and the process to healing and what to do for pain. She also explained that the bruising would continue to spread down her face until healed. We couldnt even get that from the dr at Neshoba. I will never be using this hospital again. I cannot imagine what would happen if someone was dying and got sent to this hospital.

Anyone one else have this problem? Do what I did. File a complaint with the Mississippi health department. Search up File a complaint on hospital service in Mississippi and the website to file a complaint will pop up I just finished mine

11/30/16I had been away from home for over 2 months taking care of my dying mother. I came home to find my 27 yr.old daughter having a lot of distress from being sick with URI, Bronchitis, Sinus and double ear infections. After listening to her coughing so much, vomiting through the night, I was getting more concerned. But it was when she walked out to check the mail, and on the way back she started having chest pains, that radiated to the left side of her neck and shoulder and she acted like she was going to pass out. I waited over an hour to see if this would lift and when I seen it didnt I had her call 911 to tell them what she was feeling, because our car is in the shop at the time being repaired, I didnt know what to do. An ambulance was sent out to transport her to Neshoba County General Hospital, and 4 other 1st responders came as well, which surprised me. The EMT told us it probably wasnt her heart like CHF, which I suffer from, and that put fear into me. But when asked if we still wanted them to take her, we said yes to be safe, because not more than 2 weeks ago, I put off going to ER because I was sick at the time, thinking it was one thing and it turned out (my sister was very adamant that she take me to ER) I was having a bout with CHF. So of course I was afraid for my daughter. The EMTs took her in and when Dr. Sunil Kumar came in along with 2 other nurses , the first things he said was, Why are you here? This was not an emergency! in which my daughter replied in defense, Im sorry to have wasted you time then. Dr. Kumar immediately jumped in to say and in a very stern, shameful way, It wasnt my time you wasted! It was the Emts, using the ambulance for no reason, to get you here! Then Dr. Kumar preceded to scold her with a story of a young boy that had drowned because someone called for a non-emergency use of an ambulance, when the use of the EMTs could have saved that boy! But he said he would do a chest x-ray and a EKG anyway and send her home. First of all, Dr. Kumar, where do you get off scolding my daughter or any patient for that matter, for the use of medical treatments, transportation (which we tried calling for other ways to get her there including Medicaid transportation) or the aid from EMT, hospital staff, etc.?!? Isnt that what you all are there for? Trust me, if we had the way to go get help from her primary doctor instead of abusing the Neshoba County Hospital, we would have. When a person is definitely showing signs of any illness, why is it always imaginary, all in ones mind? If anything ever happens to my daughter because of dismissal, shaming, scolding, refusing to listen and believe there might be a slight truth to their ailment or discrimination because of the size , color, gender, from a staff member in any care giving facility, I will have to seek action. This is just uncalled for and unprofessional!
