I’ve been a patient of Dr. Jackson’s for years without issue- she has been good- just routine visits, BCP and mammogram scripts. I had a question about switching to a cheaper pill and asked via the MyChart app. A nurse responded, saying I’m due for my annual appointment. I had an appointment scheduled for my annual visit 2 weeks ago, which Jefferson canceled without explanation and without asking me to reschedule. Now I have to wait 3 months for an appointment. Zero explanation, accountability, apology or concern.

Jeff is good at healthcare service and treatment in person; in my book. However, on the contrary, they tend to falsify medical history. 97 percent of my medical history was false, and I told them to make adjustments and they added my adjustments to the false medical history instead of removing the false history. This is dangerous because if I get medical service in another state they can mistreat me based on the lies in my chart which can lead to malpractice lawsuits. I know they need to make money, but making up lies in medical history can cost them more to lose; than what they are attempting to gain. Hopefully, they will do better in this area before its too late.

I know what all these reviews say, i felt the same way too when reading them if youre able to try to get Samantha Elise Noblejas, CRNP as your gynecologist. I feel seen, heard and cared for after my very first visit. She is like a warm hug. Maybe i went on a good day but the girl at desk 1 was so sweet to me as well. Nurse was personable too that dealt with me, i think her name is Chrissy or something close to that. Dr. Noblejas is an angel on earth. Womens health is so sensitive. so im glad she was able to handle me WITH care.

Their after visit notes are not accurate. Theyll twist what you told them to make it work for their diagnosis. Not a place to trust. They have the best nurses but the worst doctors. Be careful of their after visit notes. They lied about what I said claiming that I was OK post abortion. I explained everything to the resident and found a different story in her notes plus the attending doctor claiming that she assisted her. I DIDNT EVEN SEE HER FACE. I had a sever bleeding and I became anemic as a result and they didnt care to run a simple CBC. I called them after I did a CBC out of pocket because I was sure I had anemia. I waited the whole day just for the nurse to call 1 minute before they close, my phone rung for 2 seconds seconds and I didnt catch it. Theyre surely not serious about their job.

I’d give zero stars if possible! This has been my obgyn for years I was just there for my annual 6 months ago. I’m now pregnant I called for an appointment they told me I had to do a telehealth visit first. Fine I scheduled a week later I was in the ER for spotting they told me to follow up with my obgyn I called to schedule the follow up they told me I’d still need to do telehealth as if I was a new patient and tried to give me an appointment for a month later! I found a new ob that scheduled me faster and in person. This is no way to treat a patient.

I would not choose a teaching hospital as your first birthing experience (lesson learned). Unfortunately, my first birthing experience was horrible here and I cried to my husband that I didn’t want any more children after my experience. If it wasn’t for the amazing delivery nurses, I would have walked out. Yes, it could have been worse but a lot of the things I went through could have been prevented. At your regular OB appts, Jefferson is very adamant on “natural deliveries,” and will push for them. You can voice your concerns but the office nurse will say “ Well I would like for you to have a natural birth and put what they want in notes,” so you feel constantly dismissed and not heard.Day 1: At 6am I felt as if I had peed and when I went to check/ wipe there was a little blood/ watery thick mucus discharge. I wasn’t feeling cramps so I carried on. Around 3-5pm the cramps were becoming stronger and closer together. So we decided to go into the hospital to get checked. An intern wrongly diagnosed me and said I had grossly ruptured and admitted me (7pm). Therefore, they started me on Pitocin.Day2: At 3:45am I was checked by an R4 who immediately stopped everything bc I did not rupture. They debated on sending me home but decided against it since I was further dilated. Later on the contractions grew stronger, so they started me back on Pitocin. When it came time for the epidural, they had a student and teacher come into my room. They had him practicing on me and he was terrible/ had to back it out bc I felt pain. My water was not broken so they had to break it. Fast forward to delivering, the same intern who wrongfully diagnosed me was the one catching my baby. I looked at my husband ( also a Dr) and told him to step in if he needed to bc we did not trust her. I did have tears and we noticed that the intern was taking a while stitching, and eventually the R4 ended up excusing the intern to step in to finish stitching. When I was moved to my last room, they had forgotten to give our information so I could receive meals, we ended up calling in and informing them we haven’t heard from them. It was corrected so I was able to get a late dinner and breakfast the following day. You don’t get much rest because people are constantly coming in to check on you and the baby. After my experience I kept asking when we could leave. I was getting the run around. They asked if I wanted a breastfeeding consultant to come in and I said “ No thank you bc I chose to pump into a bottle”. They sent her in anyway and I asked her to leave bc I did not want to speak with her ( my personal decision). I had to wait because the doctor wanted to introduce herself and when she asked me how my experience was, I kept my mouth shut because I knew I was going to explode with anger and emotions. My PP experience: My stitches ended up popping and I asked to be seen as soon as possible to correct it. They called it “cosmetic” and didn’t want to fix it. It is not cosmetic because when I sit it still hurts and I have to dab to “wipe myself” bc if I swipe I catch the wall ( which hurts like hell). At my 6 wk pp appt, if you did not complain about something they did not check you. You would think they would do a full evaluation no matter what. I felt as if she was in a hurry. It was a verbal pp check up which I felt they failed. I complained about sensitivity around my belly button/ abdomen are and down below. She did a light tap and noted “ I’m sensitive” if she would have pressed down. She would have felt that my stomach dropped inward around my belly button. I am unable to do sit ups because I don’t have the wall strength. We are expecting again and I am going to a different hospital. I have also noted I do not want any students and to not feel like a test subject for the 2nd time around. Unfortunately, our 2nd wasn’t planned and am suffering mentally with anxiety/ fear of a repeat experience like I had at Jeff. Do better Jefferson for the sake of your patients. Your delivery nurses were rockstars so you got that right at your hospital at least.

This is the worst healthcare experience Ive ever had. Doctors are completely unethical and will never return your calls despite leaving multiple messages, even if something is urgent, even if youre out of your birth control and Roe V Wade is about to be overturned. It is painful trying to get any assistance from them, they make you feel like you should apologize for bothering them. Absolutely horrific.

Do not go here. I scheduled an appointment online via the jeff now system. Showed up the day of my appointment, and they told me my appointment wasn’t for another month. I showed them the email that said it was today, and they sent out a “manager” to talk to me. Not sure who this manager was, but she absolutely didn’t know how to manage anything. She looked at my confirmation email for a the appointment and tried to telling me it was fake. Fake???? What do you even mean? It was an email from Jefferson confirming my appointment date, time, and location. She was extremely dismissive and kept saying “there’s nothing we can do”. Did not try to squeeze me in for an appointment after I went all the way there. And was also rude about the whole thing. Save yourself the time and find a doctor somewhere that is more organized!

I would not recommend Jefferson Gynecology. Your just a number not a patient. My experience here was beyond unfavorable. I called and tried to schedule a appointment with a doctor that was recommended by my family doctor. She was unavailable for 6 months and they set me up with a nurse practitioner because I need to see a Dr. Right away. When you first arrive they have you sighn in upstairs theres a attendant at the front desk. Next you have a seat and the billing ladies check your insurance , photo id and make sure your contact information is correct .etc. Then you go down the stairs to a waiting area. Generally they call you with in 10 minutes. On my first visit with this nurse practitioner she came in and started talking with me she had some student with her. I was so annoyed because the nurse had some sort of compulsive disorder with her hair as she was discussing my health issue she played with her hair ecessesively. She would put her hair in a ponytail then immediately take it out then she would put her hair back in a ponytail again within seconds then take it out. After that she left her hair loose for 10 seconds running her fingers through her hair bending forward and shaking her hair .Then put it back into a ponytail Now mind she did this while talking to me . Our initial consultation was about 12 to 15 minutes she played her hair more than 8 times while talking to me. She was so rude the only thing good I have to say about her was her hair Its very lovely, and I see why shes obsessed with it . I felt really hurt by her actions , playing with your hair and talking to patients is very unprofessional.. I was feeling awful and she wasnt really listening to me. So anyway they took some test and told me they would contact me in 3 to 5 days if any results were positive. Well guess what they never did. I thought I was fine because 4 weeks passed no phone call.I decided to call one day just to confirm the results were negative. To my surprise they have the LOVE MY HAIR NURSE call me back. She was like your results were positive. Im like why didnt you call me. Im walking around for weeks in pain. They say they send you results by email Jefferson health chart. I never got the email. I felt like no matter what if any results are positive you should follow up by email and phone, regardless. Its possible that some severs can block Jefferson email and consider it spam. So they should call too. I had additional follow up visit. I did not choose the same nurse. The new nurse was friendly, in a rush you out the door kinda way. She did however find a new problem the first nurse should of picked up with the first exam. Once again she did more test and a annual exam I told her my concerns with there method of giving results. She told me if my results were negative she would send a letter and if positive she would call in 3 -7 days. Well guess what no follow up so I just came in for another appointment because I was expecting bad news. I meet with the same nurse she was like your results are fine. Im like you people just never follow up correctly. You treat patients like a numbers. Well Im still in pain after all this looking for a new Gynecologist. I will update this review when I find one that I like.

The Doctors are lovely but you really have to advocate for yourself here if you want to make it a personal experience. There is no reason why we should get cycled through multiple doctors, instead of just sticking to one. As I mentioned- I reached out to the Doctor I have had the most care from, and do my best to schedule with her. As far as scheduling goes- Ive been on the phone for 45 minutes just trying to make a single appointment. The scheduling department needs training and help. The Navy Yard has been my favorite place to see my Doctor- but unfortunately they dont have ultrasound there so I have to go into the city. I wish that could change!! The Doctors are lovely and the techs are great, but the two stars is really for scheduling.

I’ve never ever had an issue with Jefferson OB/GYN over the past 2 1/2 years until today.Carol who works in the scheduling department at the Chestnut St location should be fired.Empathy was at a zero.Helpfulness was a zero. All around terrible. She kept trying to push me off to get help elsewhere. What she failed to realize is that Jefferson OB/GYN is my doctor’s office and regardless of how small she thinks my issue is, it’s obviously important to me.She did not try to accommodate me what so ever.My one complaint probably won’t her her fired but, she needs to be.Or get trained again on how to be empathetic.

Honestly the only factor that carries some kudo points are the providers I typically get.. CRNP MCANN IS PHENOMENAL.. I will only book with her for my annual.. Dr Jackson is great as well.. The reasoning for the 3 stars is the facility.. It’s become GHETTO unfortunately.. that’s it and that’s all.. professionalism does not exist here.. It use to be such a pleasant place.. not sure what happened.. I prefer the spring garden location but I can never find any openings… The providers are great but the facility is horrible.. They do have their good days but the bad ones out weigh the good.

This practice is run horribly. The providers are always late, the exam rooms are filthy especially the walls and the PSRs are a bit rude. Why do we come in, not only sign in on a kiosk then have a PSR ask us for name and insurance info, get a blue paper then we go downstairs, have another PSR take the blue paper, tell us to sit down then call us back up and ask us the same questions? What is the first lady for? Today the downstairs PSR and Medical Assistant just stood and looked at me as the PSR held out her hand for my blue paper. Not a hello or how can I help you. But held out her hand vs speaking to me. I actually said well hello to you too because as a customer, arent I supposed to be greeted? Regardless my provider never came into my dirty exam room after 40 mins so I left. Stop overbooking patients and allowing appts to run over without at least letting the patients waiting know. We have lives and jobs too. I will try Main Line or Penn going forward for OB care. Ive also seen at least 4 CRNPs and 1 MD. Why so many different people? This is very common for Jefferson practices.

Wonderful support staff and providers but their operations need work! as many others have already mentioned, you wait for hours for a call back and sometimes never get one. The hold time on the phone is ridiculous and trying to schedule an appointment is like trying to visit the Pope. Ive been with this practice for many years and I think I just dont feel like the hassle of looking for a new office but its beyond acceptable how patients are treated with total disregard in terms of the operations of this office. After trying to get a response for 4 days now and still nothing, I think Im finally done with them for good!

The Good: The doctors & other staff members are wonderful. The Center City & Art Museum facilities are beautiful. The Bad: If you need to visit for something routine, you can schedule an appointment online but if you need to call, expect to wait. Ive been on hold now for 25 mins and counting, and that is the norm when I call. Also, trying to get an appointment that fits with your schedule is difficult.

Years ago I would never have rated Jeff OB/GYN with this low a rating and it is from those experiences that I rate them a 2. The staff if very knowledgeable and experienced but not at all personable or considerate, very mechanical in service needs. I have come here and had my days weeks ruined as a result at their seemingly disregard for people scheduling their days and families days around them and the inconvenience of their location and tight 15 minute windows of which y’all have to wait 20-30 minutes to see the GYN. Unfortunately this is my last encounter and I will like be switching to mainline health.

I have never experienced worst treatment in a hospital. I was in the emergency room for 5 hours and never once saw a doctor. Instead I saw a few nurses and residents. Residents cant do anything because they are basically just learning about the job. My wound was never cleaned, I was never given ice for the massive bump on the back of my head, the whole experience was terrible. And I couldnt even get any sleep because everybody that works there, just stands outside of your room and talks. It was an absolute disgrace and if I worked there I would be ashamed.

I was an inpatient at this hospital 1 month ago. I was on the Orthopedic Floor and the nurses had thel absolute worst attitude. I had surgery and even as healthy 50 year old I was advised We have had a lot of falls lately, so you areva Fall risk My bed was set up with an alarm. I was given a large amount of IVs and had to ring the call bell to use the bathroom many times. The nurse would begrudgingly walk next to me as I used a walker and 99% of the time left the door open, not caring about personal privacy.I was yelled at, belittled and treated horribly by the nursing staff on the 9th floor. After a rather involved surgery, I was given a Tylenol. The pain never improved, a shot of Toradal an oral low dose opiod. After the 6th call, the nurse arrived with a shot and actually said This is a one time deal, its Dialadid and this should shut you up.I have severe, chronic conditions and this was not my first time in a hospital. I understand the nurses are overworked and stressed. But, there is absolutely no excuse to be spoken down to, telling me I was a Fall Risk because there were recent falls. It had absolutely had nothing to do with meImagine being in incredible, stabbing pain...confined to bed by a nurse, being yelled at when asking for pain meds or going to the bathroom. Jefferson should absolutely be ashamed of the unprofessional and unacceptable treatment provided on the Orthopedic floor. It was among the worst experiences of my life. It is obvious that these nurses need to receive some training in compassion and caring. If they hate their job, they are in the wrong profession. Having been hospitalized 15 times all around the country, I have never dealt with the most uncaring people ever. I could only wish that the other floors have less abrasive nurses..who thinks it is acceptable to be sarcastic, ignore requests for privacy when using the bathroom. I can only help that the other floors have caring and compassionate nurses and not burnt out nurses who treat you more like a prisoner than a patient. A very very upsetting and horrible experience.

I came in for the pre op consultation and asked could the doctor give me one more ultrasound just for self closure .Dr Mercier told me after doing my ultrasound that she really didn’t want to do “a miracle didn’t happen over night”.. I got a sugical procedure done no doctor came and told me how my surgery went nor did they call I still don’t know how my surgery went .. I had a student come in and suggest I get a full hysterectomy because of my two small fibroids that I have(Mental state was shot after surgery ) . test result came in the doctor never called to explain my results I called them and asked for a call back she still never called she decided to write me a message. No sympathy no care in the world for women who suffers this traumatic experience.Jefferson is just not a hospital I world recommend for no type of care they don’t give you call backs , updates , they tend to just brush you off and just want the money !!!! When I need anytype of care again I will definitely go elsewhere and they want There students to work and act more like doctors than the actual doctor nor do they asked is it alright for a student to work on you or with you they are horrible !!!!!
